Romance › Re: My Fiance's Ex Won't Let Her Be by drnoel: 12:58pm On Jan 14, 2012
guy u did what u thought was right so don't punish urself 4 doing it. I think u did well, but I think u didn't do enough. Yes u are right, sometimes women need that extra attention, call it being harsh or not but sometimes she needs to know your stand in black and white. U don't have to be harsh about it but she has to know that she is either in or out of her own choice. I would suggest u make sure the two of them don't retain contact. Even if u have to replace your womans BB with a new one please do so,  just so u make sure she is not in contact with him. U also tell her that if he gets the new phone's pin then its obvious she still has her heart with him and it may not work with u cos u can't have her thinking about another man while she is with u.

Politics › Re: Why Is Eastern Nigeria Silent On Fuel Subsidy Removal? by drnoel: 5:49pm On Jan 13, 2012
I called friends and colleagues working in the eastern parts and they don't really care. They just want the thing to blow out so they can go back 2 work, they say the marketers are asking for the stuff to end so they can go back to their shed. Its just a situation that won't change cos they know things will go bad but then every fight an struggle that is made in Nigeria seems not to do anything for them cos things will still not improve after all the stress. that was what they told me when i called them.

Politics › Niger Burns As Protesters Torch Ibb Campaign Office by drnoel(op): 8:05pm On Jan 12, 2012
Protesters mostly youths yesterday took the on-going nation-wide strike against fuel subsidy removal to a frightening level when they burnt buildings belonging to Niger State Government and influential indigenes.
A policeman died when the dust settled.
Former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida’s (IBB) campaign headquarters on Mobil Roundabout, State Development Company and INEC office, were torched.

Their action was in response to a broadcast by the state’s Head of Service (HOS), Ibrahim Matane, directing civil servants to return to work.
According to the protesters, “it was wrong of the Head of Service to direct people to go to work. We are not going to allow anybody to go to work until when Jonathan reverts the pump price of N65 per litre of petrol.”

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and civil society groups had last week ordered a nation-wide strike in protest against the Federal Government’s hike of petrol price from N65 to about N145 per litre effective from January 1, 2012. Transport fares went up by 150 per cent. The strike and protests, which started on January 9 and grounded the country, were adjudged successful by organized Labour.

But in venting their anger against the Niger State government yesterday, protesters went on a burning spree.
Also torched was the glass house of the legal firm of Tanko Beji, Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state and the constituency office of Hon. Jummai Jafaru of the State House of Assembly, along Bosso Road were vandalized. About 30 vehicles were burnt, 10 of them were torched at the premises of INEC and eight at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the rest at the old secretariat in Minna.

The tensed situation in the state capital, Minna, had earlier compelled the state government to call for soldiers to take over some strategic areas. Military personnel were also deployed in the Government House, while the major roads leading to the governor’s residence were manned by a combined team of soldiers, policemen and State Security Service (SSS).

In what looked like an organized action, youths in various sections of the town as early as 8:00 a. m. gathered, blocking major roads in their areas, while another group gathered at Mobil, the heart of the state capital, setting fire on the road before descending and attempted setting the Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu Campaign Secretariat on fire.
But for the intervention of policemen dispatched to the area, who quickly mobilized to put the fire under check, the governor’s campaign office would have been engulfed by the fire set by the hoodlums. The police officer, who got injured in the course of putting out the fire, later died.

The hoodlums also invaded a popular privately-owned bakery in Tunga area, carting away all the loaves of bread and pastry before vandalizing the bakery. The residence of Senator Dahiru Awaisu Kuta, Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Character, was spared by the timely intervention of his neighbours, but two cars and a motorcycle parked in front of the house were not lucky, the fireworks of the irate mob reduced them to ashes. The irate youths also destroyed the on-going beautification project at Onigbinde Roundabout, while some cars were also allegedly destroyed at Kpakungu area of the town by the youths, accusing their victims of not staying in their houses.

At about 11a.m, gunshots were heard along the Bosso Road- a stone’s throw to the Government House. There were gunshots in Chanchaga and Kpakungu areas of the state capital. The hoodlums also barred people from moving around, insisting that the residents should stay indoors, while those who have shops in their neighbourhood were issued with threats of vandalizing the shops if they were not closed. It was gathered that the development stalled the state executive council meeting scheduled to hold at the Government House, as the hoodlums have seized all the major roads leading to the seat of government.

Meanwhile, the state government has condemned the wanton destruction of public and private structures, waste bins and beautification trees by miscreants who exploited the ongoing fuel subsidy protests called by Labour, describing the action as irresponsible. A statement by the Commissioner for the Environment and Solid Minerals Development, Abubakar Baba Jibreel, said government was shocked at the barbaric act considering the fact that the structures destroyed were put in place for the beautification of the environment and the promotion of public health. He blamed the state NLC for the rampage.

But the state chairman of NLC, Comrade Yahaya Ndako, disassociated the congress from the activities of the hoodlums. In a telephone interview, Ndako said he was going to Radio Niger to appeal to the people.
“The congress is not and cannot support the wanton destruction going on now in the state capital. We are not party to it. Our action was and is still a peaceful protest and not looting, burning and destruction of public and private properties,” Ndako told our correspondent.

Meanwhile, the state government yesterday declared a 24-hour curfew on all the 25 local government headquarters.
In a statement signed by Daniel Shashere, Secretary to the Niger State Government (SSG), government lamented that the protest by organized labour and civil societies which started peacefully on Monday, ‘has been hijacked by miscreants and hoodlums’ who have taken laws into their hands by creating bonfires on the streets of Minna, torching public and private properties.

According to Shashere, “government has a responsibility to protect lives and property, warning citizens to stay indoors until further notice. “Nigerlites should regard this as a critical measure necessary to curtail further wanton lawlessness by unscrupulous elements in the society.”

Romance › She Give Am Food by drnoel(op): 8:40pm On Jan 11, 2012
Guys I just heard a story some days ago about a guy dating this Uyo chick which his parents do not like. He is the first son of a family of 3 boys, has a Federal job and is based in Port Harcourt. He is comfortable, and is actually ready to settle down. Anyway, I am told that after his parents gave the Ultimatum for him to break-up with her, the guy actually tried to do so but then, something unusual happened. When the girlfriend come over for the weekend he tried break-up with her and they had a nasty fight after which she stormed out of the house. When she returned she tried to make-up with him so she prepared Ofe Nsala and pounded yam for him (so am told) which he ate cos its his best soup. She then gave him the nyashing of his life that night. The next morning, the guy told his parents that he is not interested in what they want to say. That he was marrying her,, which am told he did.

Guys what would be ur take on this. Give ur comments on the issue what ea it may be,

Politics › In My View Ngozi Okonjo-iweala Is The Problem” – Fani-kayode Fires: by drnoel(op): 5:42pm On Jan 09, 2012
In my view Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the problem. She is the architect of this policy. She serves the interests of the IMF and the World Bank more than she does the interests of the Nigerian people. That has always been the case but OBJ controlled her with a firm hand when we were in power and he used her to secure a good deal for us on the foreign debt issue because she knew the system.
If the World Bank asks her to jump she will ask ”how high”? This is the woman that is virtually our Prime Minister today. No wonder we are in trouble. People like this have very little feeling for the masses and they cannot empathize with their pain. Even the traditional politicians empathise more with the ordinary people because they have to interact with them on a daily basis but these so-called technocrats do not and they do not really care.

All they care and think about is the full implementation of the economic prescriptions of the IMF and the World Bank and they don’t care how painful and drastic the implementation of those prescriptions are. I have tremendous respect for Ngozie as a person and frankly I happen to actually like her because she is civilised, well-bred, exceptionally intelligent, warm and affable. However we have a completely different world-view. Her world-view is that the ”Third World” should live at the behest and by the grace of the Bretton Woods monetry institutions and she believes in a fully globalized world where the second slavery (i.e. international debt) holds sway and keeps the poorer nations of the world in their proper place.

My view is that nations were not created to be broken down into vassal states which are remote-controlled, punished, enslaved and impoverished by a few greedy international bankers that run the IMF and the World Bank. I do not trust these foreign international monetry institutions and those that work for them and my vast knowledge of history shows me that wherever they go in the world they only spread misery, poverty, unreasonable conditionalities, misery and wickedness.
Their yoke is heavy and they are simply tools of oppression that are firmly in the control of all-mighty America and western Europe. These are the forces and the people that are causing GEJ to derail. He should stand up to them and he should not give in to their intimidation and threats. He has nothing to fear from them because the western world itself is now going through it’s own major financial crisis and it is crumbling.

Nigeria is big enough and strong enough to face them down no matter what and chart her own course. What they are using him to do is to impoverish the Nigerian people, weaken them and bring them down to their knees. They did the same in South America through the 80′s and the 90′s and they are still doing it in Africa.
Even Ghana, which has a far more stable and prosperous economy than Nigeria today and which has just discovered oil, was forced by this hidden hand that controls their government to remove their own oil subsidy on xmas day of all days. What a terrible xmas gift to the Ghanian people. Since then prices for virtually everything in Ghana has doubled. And we can be rest assured that after the trickle down effect sets in we should expect the same in Nigeria- everything will double or triple in price including food, transport, diesal, kerosene, petrol, commodities, the general cost of living etc. This is unecessary, unfair, wrong and exceptionally callous.

Romance › Re: Having A Baby For A Married Man by drnoel: 8:50pm On Jan 07, 2012
Did u just ask us what she should do. Where we with them when she was opening her nyash 4 another woman's husband, why do ladies alway like thinking they can eat their cake and have it. The man is married so she should deal with that on her own. When they were doing it for 18 good months, did she come gossip 2 us, no. So she shouldn't expect a worthy advice. Am out of here, what effrontery.
Romance › Re: My Underwear by drnoel: 11:29am On Jan 07, 2012
I agree with Nex. The problem is not if the guy would do it, its actually how the woman would see him after his done it. That is really what discourages alot of Nigerian men from washing their woman's undies. Women love testings men and that is one test every woman sets 4 a guy she is with. My woman also set the test 4 me, left my clothes and her undies initially in the same bucket and anoda day in different buckets and went 2 work. When I returned the first day I just washed the clothes, but on the second day I realised she wanted 2 see if I would also wash hers and her undies so I did. After does two incidences she neva left her clothes again for me to meet them unwashed cos she knows I'd get them out of the way by washing them. She complained the other time though that she doesn't leave them there unpurpose so I'd meet them, I just told her "if u don't want me 2 wash it then don't leave it there 4 me 2 see. I just hate seeing dirty clothes lying around.
