GeneralPula: He’s not claiming Lagos. He’s only defending Lagos. He’s a western man and he’s got every right to defend any state in the west..
If an outsider is hell bent on destroying Lagos, shouldn’t the outsider be treated accordingly?
Micheal chinasa came from the east to burn Lagos state government properties. Who carried all the loss? You people should just be thankful Sanwo olu is a gentle type!
Thankful that the man who earns his salary from the people's taxes is a gentle type? Do people truly understand the way the relationship between government and people work?
And defending Lagos from what? Defend Western states? Who has got your knickers in a twist with defending states? Are you a member of the army? Or are you one of those who swallows everything the politicians tell you?
Lets be real - those politicos dont send you. Their children are never on the front line, or the line before it, or the line near that one! Instead they send people like you that they have applied Stockholm syndrome on. Making you believe that the next commoner who isnt from your ethnic group or your religious group or doesnt even speak your language is your enemy. Meanwhile go and check what they are chopping on your head legally and illegally. Receive sense!
flokii: You no get level anywhere.. stop deceiving yourself. A Yoruba person from Benin Republic or Togo has more rights than you an Igbo in Lagos.. Na confam I yarn you so.
I now think you are not Yoruba. You are one of those they have paid to sow ethnic discord. We know times are hard and you need to collect money from anywhere but at least try to think. Why would a non-Nigerian have more rights than a Nigerian in Nigeria? Is it because of people like you who are ignorant or just plain dumb?
DesChyko: Lobatan. The contractors also offer mortuary services and Sanwo Olu is quite close to her. He has even gone on inspection of their facilities before.
Going on inspection doesnt mean they are close. I am not surprised a governor is doing a management site visit. Proving they are close requires more than site inspection.
imbless: This statement is also coming from an outsider who is probably from Kwara, osun, Ondo or ekiti.
This cant be from Ondo or Ekiti. Those people marry outside their state. That post is coming from an area boy who mistakenly got access to the internet and while not surfing porn, uses his single brain cell to type the shiite he typed.
flokii: Leave plenty talk.. tell your Governor to wise up and embrace Yoruba identity. It's time to drop the woke city nonsense. Some unfortunate ones are hell bent on turning Lagos upside down to score cheap political points. It's time to guard everything concerning Lagos jealously from outsiders. Give Yorubas and other indigenes all the positions up till cleaner and watch the madness die natural death.
Remember the Igbo lawmaker that erected billboard warning likes of Phyno and Flavour to stay off her state and go protest in their state of origin?.. That's is the kind of treatment outsiders should be getting in Lagos.
You are not a good person and definitely running for one of the growing negative bunch of people on NL. History is full of people such as you who preached xenophobic acts forgetting that no culture excels by itself. Even worse you fail to appreciate the impact these non-Yoruba contribute. I am sure you are one of those omonile who excels in demonstrating your ignorance by bullying vehicles on the road. Those and the 43 who liked your posts need to take a long hard look at yourselves. Y'all are majorly responsible for the mess we are in. What is Yoruba identity here?
Chachamiliano: The politicians are not suffering. Their allowance has never been touched. They have never adjudicated for a reduction in governance. If the senate is not lucrative, what would ex governor, local government chairman and some people that have been in the senate since 1999 still be doing there? Are they the best brains we can produce? Certainly NO. A state is like the ant (termites) colony. The earlier her Queen understands that the workers are restless the better.
Fair points. I didn't account for the politicians in power among the rich or poor. Those ones have their every need handled by our taxes and income.
blaise26abj: He stated it during the campaign . But the approach matters . There are different ways to get to lagos from abuja . You can go by air or you can trek . Which one is harder ? So the issue is not about removing subsidy . It is about how to quickly solve our refinery problems and mitigate the hardship that comes with the removal . Not some stupid 8000 naira per month stipend .
The subsidy removal would have even been better but in the same breathe naira was floated ,making the import price go higher . It just shows they didn’t really think things through .
Lastly pump price will get to 700 naira . It is unavoidable unless Dangote refinery starts within a couple of months
I agree. Really hoping that things improve by October 1st. His speech will be interesting.
VeeVeeMyLuv: 🤣😂🤣 Dire economic wahala caused by who? Corrupt politicians or the common man?
Mr man do you know the implications of an individual who a year prior to getting elected into position was struggling to repair his okada motorcycle, all of sudden this person became wealthy in position of authority buying houses everywhere including overseas in London, USA...
This is exactly what is happening in Nigeria. These guys have destroyed every sector with their kleptomania.
Dire economic wahala caused by Nigerians. From the politicians to civil servants to the common man. The leaders are selected from us the people. They are no different from most of us. The difference is they are in a leadership position. I believe in Honesty, Integrity and Respect. There are a few good Nigerians but we tend to refer to them as mumu.
Chachamiliano: I do not have any issue with the removal but the issue here ie that expenditures are going up and income on the masses are going down. Yet the rich class are still milking them dry. Its better we start shouting from the onset, criticise their plan so they could make adjustments rather than when they are about to leave office. Then someone will use them to campaign
Both rich and poor are suffering in this economy o. There is nothing wrong with lobbying. I support it 100%. The people must provide checks and guidelines to our leaders. However it is easy to cause chaos in Nigeria. Just use ethnic differences, religion or even money.
blaise26abj: Who exactly are the “we”? Please the leaders of this county have mismanaged the affairs of this country for their personal gains . I want to ask you a question and please answer as truthfully as you can . Is Tinubu corrupt ? Do you believe he has used his position to amass wealth ?
We, Nigerians, have selected leaders and in our various capacities abused and misused this nation's resources. Resources are not only cash; it refers to every item required. From teachers misusing funds, to police abusing the civilians of this nation, to people stealing their employees funds, to not paying taxes. The list is long. The leaders are easy to point fingers at and yes they do share the major blame for this.
On Tinubu and other leaders, do I believe they have misspent funds - yes. Do I have proof to establish without doubt that they have done this - no!!
I am with Tinubu on this one. Gani Adams, who is directing you to talk?
Subsidy removable was non-negotiable. My only problem is with the approach.
I sympathise and empathise with my fellow Nigerians. I and my family members are tightening our belts. I have resolved to wait till October 1 to see what happens when Tinubu would have reached 100+ days in office.
Let's not deceive ourselves. Nigeria is in dire economic wahala. We have mismanaged our funds, failed to invest in assets and even got distracted from the one item earning us major forex.
Imagine your child was in the air and then this occurred. Let's say it is the cable carrying information that pilots need. That is the end.
There is a reason why there is typically good security around airports.
These are the same evil practitioners that went to use chemical or another process to steal metal from Ijora bridge leading to that hole. That hole made that bridge to be closed causing longer traffic times, increased stress of thousands of Lagosians and we are grateful that someone didn't go through that collapsed part.
Some people have been paid to spread ethnic discord, some have been paid to share racial discord, some have been paid to support the government in their policies, some just hate themselves.
That is what I have noticed. Very hard to take posts seriously when the people who are under the same economic conditions are taking potshots at others in the same economic conditions and feeling above because they are different. Look above your head; it is the same sky.
To understand why it is difficult for the foreign countries to stop investments by crooks, you need to understand how global finance and investment works. The crooks hardly ever use their names. They use certain vehicles which are difficult to track. Also there are individuals and companies within the foreign countries who make it their business to help crooks siphon money. It is serious business. The below clip helps if one is serious in finding it out.
If you are about to get married, read populist advice like this carefully. Some are good, some are not e.g., your in-laws are definitely not your enemies.
If you are looking to be in control, do not marry. You must not be perfect before you marry. Agree on how you handle your finances. You must have a talk on financial matters.
gentiles: Cowards die many times before their death, cowardice and timidity runs in the veins of an average Yoruba man. Why is that Simon Ekpa has not tried sit at home in any S/S state? because he knows the consequence of such an action, but every tribe is making a mockery of Yorubas, because they are weak and spineless. Ekpa is a smart guy, he is only using the proposed sit at home in lagos to test the water, the real agenda is to continue from the destruction they unleashed on lagos in October 2020 under the guise of Endsars. Dis people too mumu
Truth. The triple whammy of subsidy removal, single forex, and upcoming electrical rate increase is enough to jolt any economy into trouble. I have started calling this government, the government of Rehoboam. It is just that Buhari was no Solomon.
We will revisit this comment in future. By all economic indications Nigerians are currently finding it harder under Tinubu than at any point under Buhari.
Zionbel: Your rabble rambling is borne of hatred. I've never suffered but you who's taking bitter pills over a healthy and strong man.
Delta State was well developed by Chief Ibori while he was governor. The major present imfrastructure were made by him. Successive governments didn't really build and consolidate on his achievement. Even NDDC was the idea of Ibori and few south south governors of his time, while he was the arrow head. The facts are there Mr Hater.
My number remains Zero Hate Zero.
Hatred? The only person showing hate is you positioning and praising this crook. By encouraging this crook, you are demonstrating hate for the goodness of Nigeria.
If you call Delta State well developed, I shudder at what your personal life is. You definitely have no clue what development is!! I am not even going to talk about the successive calamities that he and other governor have imposed on that state.
Would you allow James Ibori to design and develop your personal house for your children to come?
mogbeyiteren: Many Nigerians are underrating James Ibori who was politically convicted because he fought for resource control which did not go down well with d British government
BS. You want to equate Ibori with Jaja of Opobo? Lol. You deserve the government you get.
Zionbel: Oga, is that what Deltans in your dream or imagination told you as their spokesman? Your statement dwells in the city of falsehood.
For your info, Chief Ibori is the best governor Delta state have ever had. And he's well loved by us.
That is probably why Delta State is the way it is. If this man is your best governor then you really have no clue what good governance is. You are clearly suffering from a version of Stockholm syndrome like many Nigerians who keep praising the respective persons who have looted their individual states. Keep loving those who are using a 1000 cuts technique on you.
Winnin009: Bro, just take a moment to read about this said computers... they are not what you think they are.
They are built special to operate in special conditions. A glitch as little as a fraction of a second up there could mean disastrous consequences.
You have to understand that there are different rules up there.
Every system built by man has a probability of failure even computers. I am sure there is a definition of a glitch-free computer which would say what the standard is.
Winnin009: First, the computers that NASA astronauts use in space “NEVER” experiences glitches. Like NEVER!!!!!
And two, the system wasn’t built in Nigeria or for Nigeria. AWS is AWS everywhere. Lol. The fact that you think the cloud system effectiveness can be affected by your crappy politics just shows you have no idea how shit works.
And three, if it experienced a glitch, it would show in the logs. Lol. Just wait. The evidences and unanswered questions are too much.
On glitches, it is my experience that systems that appear to have no glitches have some redundancy and error checking functionality as part of their design. It is not true to say no computer suffers glitches.
