Thanks for the tips, I jst had a slight change of approach to this site and will keep you in the loop when my brainwave comes into fruition. Well its crazy cuz i spend all my free non-linux life and time developing web applications for others, making them realise their business ideas while my ideas jst keep warm on paper. E go better.
WebmastersRe: Puting Song On Your Website For People 2 Download by DualCore1: 8:50pm On Mar 20, 2012
Upload the file into your root directory (public_html or www) and reference the file with an anchor tag.
Assuming you uploaded to a directory on your root directory called "music". The download link will be

http://yoursite.com/music/your_music.mp3

An anchor link to is will be Download

Ask more questions if you are unclear about anything.

No one put you on a race track and neither were you gunning for an award for speed in development. I understand this is done fron scratch, the more reason it should have been open to several tests and releases. If you have chosen to use the whole of nairaland as your test team well you have to scrub the whole forum looking for feedbacks and bug disclosures.

As for the mobile thing, we are all responsible for the choices we make so ride on with your decisions.

I dont know if the dev team was a mix of pros and learners. some areas like the search and backward compatibility with the smf links were so well done that it makes me wonder if it was the same coder that handled the login, registration and exception handling.

You should improve your testing and project management skills. We dont know how what we do in public affects what we get in the future.

Listen to the users, they are the ones who use the application.

I really have nothing more to say on this new NL matter cuz I am very convinced this is a mobile site. I use it on my Galaxy tab and the difference is all too clear and I cant see why I should be checking this site on my desktoo. This will kill your revenue because I dont see any ads running while I am on mobile.

I like the "new" image with a backgroud, lets me know threads I have previously posted on and that have new posts.

Peace bro.

Meanwhile, I know this was more than imagination... one babe has put you on a long thing with the "i'll think about it" scope. When a babe tells you she'll think about this kinda matter, just start crying. It works, they get so embarrassed they say YES at once! ...and break up with you later. At least you got half bread.

Kobojunkie: If your intention is to refute my statement, then you are better off posting an article from a reliable source that states that it is. Else, this is all for not.
Kobojunkie, its not as easy as you dropped it. The love of life is instinctive. This is my personal opinion based on things I have done and seen. Feel free to ignore, as I have yours. smiley

Fill up your bathtub and lets do a controlled experiment, I dunno how to prolong talk when there's always a mythbusters way of shortening the talk.

Ready when you are ready. cheesy

Kobojunkie: Again, people commit suicides in their bath tubs.
After taking some mind altering/dulling substances. Again I am not saying its impossible, its just not as easy as you and my textbook authors put it down.
PoliticsRe: Apagun Olumide Was Strangled To Death, Reveals Autopsy by DualCore1: 11:30pm On Mar 19, 2012
Kobojunkie: To commit suicide in one of those, all one has to do is lie flat in the water and restrain oneself.
This is textbook science. Suicide is harder than this. Try am and see if you won't jump out! grin

Just stick with your mobile. I come here now on PC with the view that I am on a mobile site not really meant for PC so I endure it. I think punch or vanguard once portrayed their mobile site as the main desktop version. . . or its still there? Well, this is a mobile site and I believe those it concerns had done their research so as to go on to favor a mobile approach over a desktop approach. Hope this helps their revenues.
WebmastersRe: Nigerian Webmaster And Host Name by DualCore1: 9:48pm On Mar 19, 2012
A domain is only as good as its content. Put up naijaboys.com and give 2 dollars to every visitor (per visit) and the whole world won't break a sweat about the "naija" domain.

The coming of the .com.ng TLDs sure would help reduce the use of the "-ng", "9ja" domains.

About 9jahoster and whogohost. Nothing more professional about either of the domains. I can't imagine being in a high profiled board meeting and I am asked what company will handle the hosting of the million dollar application I am presenting and I say "9jahoster" or "whogohost" with all confidence. So both domains are unconventional and can only be relevant and professional if a top quality brand is built out of them. Back to the board meeting and its is a nationally known fact that "9jahoster" and "whogohost" are the best web host service providers in Nigeria, sure I can confidently mention them in the board meeting.

So you two put yourselves in the same tight corner when you chose your domains and only you two can tell if you will build or are already building a brand out of your names.

It will help for all of us to think outside the box when choosing domains names, now that we have a .com.ng. Lots of surprisingly available .com.ng domains out there now.

I personally do not like domains with "naija" and its other variations.

Offtopic: Deji, your arguments this time are sound and thought provoking unlike some months back when all you did was slam us with 9jahoster ads. I know we had some issues and it really wasn't personally, I just wanted to preserve the integrity of the board. So hope we are good. You have one free shot to throw at me if it'll make us even though wink tongue
