Yes my account was reinstated the same day in most cases but I cannot remember what I had to do. I know I followed the link they gave me and the suggestions there. I think I was forced to change password on one occasion. Note though that this wasn't an Adwords ban, it was a Gmail ban. The bans taught me to start shifting some dependencies to my own hosted email account. At some point in time my Google account was tied to my life. Losing it meant losing a lot of online investments. |

afam4eva: The bolded no be true oo. I was banned a year ago by google for doing nothing. I had not even launched any ad campaign. Till date they have refused to give me a reason for the ban.Google will always give you a reason for being banned. You don't have to ask once, ask a couple of times and you will get an answer. The laziest answer you will get is that you will be directed to check one of their pages with generic info as to why you have been banned. I have also been banned a couple of times for doing nothing and I had to ask. |

switchmax8: poster,This information is wrong. CSS is clientside and can be viewed. There is no CSS who's source cannot be viewed. As long as your browser can see the CSS, you can see it. You see internal and inline CSS on the main page source. To view external CSS, look at the CSS declaration within the <head> tags and follow the path. Some browsers like firefox allow you to click on the paths and they take you straight to the external css file. The same is applicable to Javascript. |

Its not conclusive that you were scammed. In fact I don't think you were scammed. Sort out your issues with Google and don't bring this Emeka dude into the picture because all he did was sell vouchers to you and I just checked your Google Adwords account and it says "Current balance ($105.49)credit remaining" If the voucher was shady it is only natural that the voucher woulda been cancelled and the funds removed from your credit balance. |

This is my "strictly-business" opinion.  Google does not ban you without giving you a reason at once or when asked for one. So find out from Google the reason for the ban so you can know if its anything to do with the vouchers you bought or from your own actions. I think its the best way to start of the investigation. In addition to a ban reason, Google also suggests steps to take to be unbanned if it wasn't a permanent ban. One more question: what was banned here? Just your site or your entire Adwords account? //where the hell is the "insert quote" link? Can you guys stop fing.ering this site at peak periods?  //Odunnu my sweet love, we need to talk asap! The arrow can't be removed but some CSS tricks can be used to overlay something else on it. I have done this before but can't remember for which project. IE is a stubborn browser for this trick. Its simple logic, people will only advertise where real humans are. I cannot remember ever going to the adverts section but I appreciate some adverts I see while surfing my regular section. My point: very few people wake up with a mission to check the web advert boards for an advert. Its more likely for people to wake up with the mission of checking the webmasters board for interesting things which will include adverts that may interest them. |

ewds: The domain name is still active. Thanks.All domains must be transferred not later than 9-14 days to its expiry. If you try to do a domain transfer on a domain that will expire in 5 days (for instance) there is a very high chance your transfer won't be approved. In a case like that you just have to renew the domain with the present registrar before you try to transfer again. Also note, you cannot transfer a domain earlier than 3 months into its registration. So if you register a domain today, you cannot transfer it to another registrar until some time in July. |

After reading PHP5 for dummies I recommend you read the PHP.in.Action.Jun.2007.pdf. PHP5 for Dummies only brushes the surface of Object Oriented Programming (OOP). PHP In Action focuses on OOP, Agile programming and Unit testing. These are just ways to make your coding experience more fun, more interesting and more productive. Please try to finish that PHP5 for Dummies book before anything else. |

I second the suggestion about making transfers on friday nights. Its the best time to do any DNS change... in my experience (hoping its not psychology) DNS changes propagate faster on Saturday and Sunday. Do a DNS change on Monday and its doom for the business till Wednesday or Thursday. In your case the best you can do is to sort out your hosting transfer first, changing domain nameservers to the new host. When you are done with hosting transfer then sort out domain transfer. There are no downtimes in domain transfers and nothing needs to change or propagate. |

Domain transfer takes a week from initiation and confirmation of transfer. Host service transfer (which just involved changing nameservers) takes 24-48 hours for the change to propagate across the interwebs. |

It touches basically every part of PHP, some in more details than others. The other books in that list are for specific areas of PHP and can be read after completing the PHP for Dummies. |

Any website that auto-refreshes itself or runs some auto-updating AJAX queries behind the scene will consume more bandwidth depending on amount of data downloaded each time (which in most cases are minimal) |

farouqzaib: Please @OP, Since you seem to be a beginner in web programming, I wouldn't advice you opening that PHP Master book. It's like learning to fly before you know how to walk. Most experienced devs will say it's not hard, that's cos they are "experienced" so the light bulbs just clicks. I'll advice you use beginning PHP and MySQL from Novice to Professional. And study it, don't just read. Write every code you have to, don't copy and paste.I agree with you. I can't remember ever having to help anyone out here with a set of PHP books because of the learning curve. However I like Ruby's confidence and I have provided her (via email) with the books listed below. Hopefully we will see a PHP developer in a couple of months. If you have an alternative to alertpay I suggest you go for it. I have about 200 USD stuck in my Nigerian account cuz I did a transfer to my US account... and I contacted support to ensure it was legit to run 2 accounts and they said it was. Their support takes days to get back to your ticket and it could be frustrating. Just move forward with liberty reserve if that fits your needs. |

A visitor'ss location can only be automatically determined by the IP of the visiting user. Any other method will involve interaction with the visitor. e.g.asking the person. |

Facebook plugin works on your local web server as no domain validation is required to use it. Its more likely to be your connection not loading the plugin. I have experienced that with Etisalat, Facebook plugin does not work. Someone else on this board has the same experience with Etisalat. |
