GboyegaD:He was armed. . . . with stones. This can be used by the defense if they are court marshaled. I am not a Barrister but when you date a Barrister who practices on you too. . . you get to think like them a bit ![]() |
vanstanzy:Ggggeeeesh! like err. . . can we hold somewhere else? ![]() I'm in virtual pains already. . . just the thought. |
I am doing something like this presently. See the job details of what I am doing presently here: http://www.freelancer.com/projects/PHP-Website-Design/sms-shortcode-online-application.html The ease and feasibility of this thing is actually a function of the API and its documentation. 60% done now. |
Some of you should watch the 7 (abi na 8 ) seasons of "24". |
r231:My friend (bobby) get lost the devil is a Nigerian ![]() Show us something new. |
Thanks bro. I didn't have a lot of time to spare. I woulda gotten it on ebay but it woulda taken 5 days which I didnt have. I got a probook 4530 (which I will sell in a year, in mint condition to get the next higher probook ). I have the probook 4510s system (without a board, power port and hard drive). I may create a thread for this later, it has the following: 1. Full chasis with minimal signs of use 2. 2 x 2GB Ram DDR2 3. Core2Duo processor 2.26GHz 4. DVDRW 5. Keypad 6. Complete screws (lol) 7. 2 Batteries (1 OEM and 1 gotten from ebay) 8. Display LCD (screen) which is in mint condition without one scratch (I clean it everyday with a carbon based compound and some brushes meant for the screen and keypad). 9. Wireless radio I think that's all. All the above mentioned parts were in working condition as at the last time the system was running (last week). Price: Make your offers. If you are in Lagos/Abuja include 2,500 to your offers cuz that's the cost of sending it over to lag via ABC. I will send pictures of the parts to anyone with an offer I like. You can choose to retract your offer by then but the items are just as I have described. |
Thanks, gbogbotigbot lol. Actually I am not thinking of ditching GTBank, I just need a backup e-banking service. GTBank's Naira Mastercard has failed me on some occasions for my daily credit card transactions online and I use Zenith's websurefer which is a very reliable backup and has never failed me on a place where its known to have worked other times. So I need a backup like this for the internet banking aspect of gtbank. I will give FirstBank's system a try. moshoodn:One, brother. |
Slyr0x:That's one hell of a set of crimes on top one person's head. What do you think the sentence will look like? |
blank:That is the almighty, all-encompassing message we get in Nigeria. Its as generic as it sounds. Its like us blaming the devil for every bad thing. This is not peculiar to GTBank. |
moshoodn:I would appreciate if you insult me no further. I don't know you and you don't know me. I'm old enough to post my personal opinions on a public bulletin board and would wish for kids and adults alike to behave with a level of maturity when talking to strangers. I recommend you move on without trying to reply me. Please no insults on this thread, just state your experiences, suggestions and alternatives and walk away happy. . . Yomboy4ever:These are mission critical systems whose technological glitches should not be frequent or even be noticed by the end users as there should be redundancy in place. A banking application should not have a single point of failure. blank:Thanks. Would love something on android (not mandatory, just preference). |
Demdem:This is not a matter of patience. . . ever since the "accident" happened a while back and the platform url was routed from "ibank" to "ebank" its been a matter of being fortunate. I practically depend on the e-banking platform daily, for different kinds of transactions. . . this thing works when it wants to and dies off for minutes at a stretch only to come back. I still used it today and i'm on it now. It is not reliable. . . I cannot goto anywhere with zero Naira hoping to buy some stuff and pay via a transfer when it so happens that the platform can be in its usual state of coma just when I am in front of the cashier babe waiting for me to pay. . . then what next. . . babe says. . ."you don't have the money? you can save up and come back. Next!". Got forbid. tumababa:Don't call customer service for anything you are experiencing on any Nigerian service provider if the problem is general. They cannot help you and the only answer you will get is a stereotyped answer. Thanks dapsee I will look at First Bank. blank:The mobile app. . . what platform? iOS, Android or BB? |
Still looking for this. |
Are there any other Banks with an internet banking platform as reliable and as good as GTBank was about a year ago? Granted, there are some interesting new features that GTB has added to their platform which have made my life a lot easier like the instant other banks transfer and the foreign exchange transfers but what are the gains of these when now accessing them is a problem. In the past (few months back) I only needed to carry along any of my handheld devices and my Token with me and walk into anywhere and know I can buy anything I need and easily pay the person instantly from my handheld. Now its a problem. As I post this, GTBank e-banking has been down for 4 hours and counting. . . so many transactions pending. . . business reputations on the line. . . this is not the way forward and its frustrating. Please share your experiences with internet banking platforms from other Banks. I am primarily interested in the following services: Management of different types of bank accounts within one online account. Instant transfer of funds to other banks Transaction history |

Bots are not this intelligent to automatically quote a part of a post and post a very fitting answer. It will look like a spam seeing as the post has a bot-like hyperlink. . . but it isn't a spam/bot. I looked at the other post of this same user on a totally unrelated thread. Bots don't go to unrelated threads. JessicaJ: |
You're welcome. Thanks too. |

If your browser renders www.trudigits.com like that now then your computer is as foolish as you. Ignore the kid people. Foolishness is tied up in the heart of a boy. While you are trying to correct a foolish boy, he will only try to be more foolish. Its a futile cycle. . . more like an infinite loop of foolishness++. He is the only one that can break out of his loop so let it rest. I am done with you Doncigallo, I ran a detailed check on your history and the kinda people you have as friends and I cant believe I even tried to talk to you. Enjoy the foolishness, kid. Break outta the loop whenever you wonno. =============//right back to topic//=============== Ogzille yea we'll talk later maybe tonight. . . if we are both free. *dhtml and the rest, hope you guys come up with something good. Have you guys noticed the growing number of web design job requests on the board? Add that to the memo in your meeting. ![]() |
^^^I still remember one other poster like that who was looking for Nigerian sites to exchange link with, one look at my website - he said it is not a Nigerian website. Despite alexa info and all that, he refused to be convinced, and i was now wondering - what makes it look like it is not a Nigerian website beat me stillI am working on a recruitment portal too, but i ave gotten stranded on some client jobs - i need to raise funds for my project - maybe i may borrow ideas from you guys as well.

@ogzille, Nice work on your recruitment portal, I am currently working on a similar project (demo.nigeriarecruiter.com), do you mind sharing your contact with me, so that we can share ideas?
GF was coming up with the same recruitment portal solution last week and I told her no to even invest much time cuz it may not even work in her country of residence. . . there are many of them already there. This may work in Nigeria. Rather than each of you creating his own portal, why don't y'all team up to get one good portal? Ogzille, I heard about what you did and your anonymous stunt. . . weldone . Let's talk about your plans on y!m when you are free. |
ogzille:When an average Nigerian tells you your (hand crafted) site is a "template site". Be happy. In the Nigerian mentality a site that is too good to me done by a Nigerian with the same mindset as theirs. . . is a "template site". When you see a site with very dirty CSS like this on a live site. . . you start asking what kid was rattling door knobs in CSS. .innerbox9{ doncigalo:And you are the same person here? doncigalo:Go through my over 8,000 posts and let me know where you see me begging for jobs. Funso, get wise. I told you that trident site is actually your best work ever and you are holding on to it like a baby with candy. . . I don't do 5-paged online brochures anymore. . . that's a phase we all evolve from and you should think of some evolution in that regard. I started screwing with jQuery and Javascript even before you heard of it. I did ecashshop.com ages ago and screwed with so much javascript that I vowed never to go all out on JS again cuz I wrote enough JS to make a man cry. Ecashshop.com was my first hand-crafted site based on JS and I didnt even suck at it back then. My skill level now and then (when I did ecahshop) cannot even be compared, everyday we go higher. My personal website (sawyerrken.net) will even be a Javascript class work for you. |
Sprumbaba:No, sorry I don't work with Codeigniter. About the peanuts. . . well I keep a 4am - 2pm (mon-fri) fulltime job with a canadian web dev firm and earn 1,300 USD per month (after all GTBank wire transfer charges are removed). That could also be peanut to you too but I'm not after the money. . . I am after the passion. If you have any jobs, post them there and you will get quality bids. |
Haba! April 2011 thread. . . These bots ![]() The promo above has ended. There are even better deals and prices on the website: TruDigits.com Enjoy. |
doncigalo:See one of the reasons I am me and you are you: http://www.freelancer.com/users/375635.html Look at my completed jobs and look at my jobs in progress and let me know which of those you can come close to comprehending how I did (and i'm doing) them. Just a tip: in the real world, its real problems. . . not jQuery edits. I don't need ignorant Nigerian clients (who don't know what they want) to do what I know how to do cuz I am even too busy on the international scene making real clients know something good could actually come out of Nigeria. ogzille:Apologize? LoL, when hell freezes over. Ain't you used to these kinda people? Allow him to continue making noise. Don't blame him, blame the jQuery coders who did the actual building of the scripts with an overly clear documentation that just anyone could pick up and use. ![]() |
^^ what do you smoke at night to keep you firing at 1:30am? . . . and what is the meaning of lobatan? ![]() Seriously just stop answering some posts. I don't think binaflexia is an alter ego of doncigalo . . . their comprehensive abilities are different IMHO. I don't think shilling ever dreamt she would come to the land of the geeks with a thread that will get so interesting and crazy.
^^^i am begining to suspect that this doncigalo is not a developer at all
I don't think he claimed to be one but still won't cut for a web designer in my opinion. Its safe to call him a html/css/jquery enthusiast. |
I hate internet explorer too but we all have to bear with people because they still use it. I had fixed the issue in the past skipped re-uploading the affected file. Done the re-up, cleared the server cache and its all good on IE. This is the difference between you and I, doncigalo. We will never be at par until you have learned to use your head. Interestingly my impression about you doncigalo has not changed, you are a foolish kid with a lot to learn. Like I said, that should be your first and only job for now. . . with some faith and aging you will have more jobs. |
doncigalo:Please be silent. Where were you when binaflexia needed this help: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-787296.0.html Unlike yourself he knows to ask questions when he has to and I consider him a professional. And yes, I will learn from him if I have to. . . just writing a script for someone is a learning process for me. Every code I write takes me a step higher. I am not here to show you "my works" to prove my prowess, that's a useless lane i never go down. You? You're still taking your baby steps and haven't gotten to the level where I should start taking your arguments in this field with a grain of seriousness. That must have been your first paid site so you are all to excited, its not surprising. . . old men were once boys. I hope you were sensible enough to see this sheyie2007:And see what's written at the footer. =================== The other posts talking about specializations. . . its a good idea to specialize in one area and team up with professionals in the other areas. Sadly this is not feasible when you consider what the average client in Nigeria is willing to pay for a job. |
It can be done with any web dev language. In my free time, I am developing a pet (non-profit) project in that area using PHP and MySQL. |
cheapautos:Your shamelessness beats my comprehension. Go well in peace and we don't need you back here. |
