namfav: that is the issue, if iweala wins nigeria problems will not be solved, i am not a fan of the world bank anyway, so whatever, i just saying as it is, iweala has no chanceyou see, thats what i've been trying to say but maybe my deficiency in English is really doing me a bad turn. go back and read what i said earlier on. the only thing we are sur to gain is the fact that one of our very own is there. it helps a little. it boosts our poor image just a tad bit. and if she decides to work some things down here by virtue of her position all the better. you see, tribalism and all these sectionalism is to nigeria what the knife is to the cake...gradually cutting us in bits till we are so small that its impossible to imagine we were so big. hey man!!! celebrate good and it can't help but come to you |
sweetcocoa:ebe obu na i nwere Abraham na nna nya diri gi ka isi choo mana ike brain drain agwu go anyii i gu cha kwaa ibatawa. kedu mahadum bu nke'a? |
namfav: being a former vice president does not make you qualified, iweala was never known as a diplomat for all the qualifications she has she does not interact the african vote is just pointless more powerful bric nations are behind the american, anyway she wont get it, she is a qualified economist/banker but not a qualified diplomat, her track record in nigeria is also poor, we'd get a better finance minister if she leaves anywayand whats in it for you if Kim wins? |
sweetcocoa:o dikwa mma...igu cha kwa ibatawa oh o kwa ebe afu ka ezigbo aguu di maka na ndi niger na ako nri. gini ka iguru na mahadum? |
namfav: what is wrong is going on fareed zakaria and showing to the world how arrogant you are and saying you are nigerian, maybe if she said she was ibo instead, she did not show any respect to any other candidate and was speaking as if she deserve ithow exactly did she exude arrogance? was she truly not nigerian? is she really not more qualified than her opponent? does she not deserve it atleast more than her opponent does? |
aryzgreat: namfaz^^^^it dosen't always have to be about tribe, does it? |
namfav: sadly she was parading her arrogance as nigerian, i was ashamedremind me, whats wrong with being a nigerian? |
sweetcocoa: Hmm what will someone call this one now?nne malu ma i ga akwa je niger republic |
kokoA: the US did not invite anybody to contest the seat with them. It was the emergin economies of the world that wanted the status quo to change and the US gladly accepted so why are Nigerians complaining now? It is an election not an appointment so the person with the highest support will win. Nobody gives a danm about credentials in an election. Even GEJ knows that when he said he knows he wasn't the best candidate for the job in the last election but 'God' made him win.the world bank does not belong to any one country or person. the US just happens (if its even still true)to be the deepest pocket. if in the first place am never gonna win an election, all am saying is that i shouldn't be able to contest cos if i am then i expect to win. talking about the US not asking anybody to come contest with 'em, (guy na wa for you oh)na their papa get the bank? there is a saying where i come from, that the man who raises no objection is in agreement. so if they were in agreement, let the best man win. he who the cap fits should wear it. It non of our freaking business (like some peeps are saying) of what interest her being there is gonna be to us. just wish her well. she is our daughter and her well being/success should be our concern. if she in turn feels that she owes us the duty of bringing some good with her position back home, that will be soooo good. if she feels she owes us nothing and that we contributed nothing to her, its her life and you gotta let her live it. |
kokoA: Who gives a rat asz about world bank presidency? The united state contributes the largest share to world bank's funding, how much does Naija contribute that we want to run the danm organization? Lets be factual and address issues objectively.Maybe the election should just be between selected citizens of the US instead of bringing people together just to make fun of them. Anybody that qualifies to contest has a right to win. kaji? |
porka: See how Oyinbo withdraw jeje... It's a cultural thing you know!!! I'll not be surprised to hear Aunti claiming on Monday that the votes were rigged against her. It'll be a surprise not to hear how she "won" but the votes were stolen because she's black and a woman, even when her all her acclaimed qualifications for the job did not leave the editorial board rooms of the New York Times and the Economist.am sure you got as far in life as you are by withrawing from fights or competitions just because ur opponent is seemingly stronger or better backed than you are. Am sure Obama won the presidential race by withrawing cos John Mc Cain was white... |
violent: I'm sure you'd agree that it's a bit ambitious and slightly delusional to assume your support for any candidate goes any further past your laptop.you couldn't be more correct |
Biafra, Biafra... Haters from oduduwa repulblic can kill themselves
this has nothing to do with Biafra! Keep the strength and enthusiasm in check when its called for, even the blind who sees not warriors the deaf who hears not the gong and the cripple who cannot match will testify and be ready at the call of duty. Be wise and do no mighty deeds with Thy mouth but be ever ready to be on the side of truth. |
The Katsina State Government will soon launch Nigeria’s pioneer Wind Farm. The Wind farm located in Katsina is funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency and has a capacity of 10 Megawatts. Minister of State for Power, Darius Ishaku, revealed this when to two senior Katsina State officials on a courtesy visit to his office seeking an end to the incessant power outages in the state. The Katsina State Commissioner for Water Resources, Jamilu Musa, and the Special Adviser to the Governor on igher Education, Dr. Garba Matazu were informed by the minister that the Wind power project will inject 10 Megawatts into the national grid. An additional 0.8 Megawatts, generated from solar, will be injected directly to the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University in Katsina to serve the school. The minister also harped on the planned Zobe and Jiba dams in Katsina, stating they would improve generation. He added that the Kurfi, Kankara and Malumfashi sub-stations, as well as the Daura lines had been reawarded to improve the voltage in katsina and Kano. He also advised the State Governments to woo private investors to set up power generation plants in their states. link: http://businessnews.com.ng/2012/04/12/nigerias-first-wind-farm-goes-onstream-in-katsina/
am i the only one that can see the bolded? or maybe my comprehension of English is dwindling really fast. What i understand is that this project was funded by a Japanese corporation why are peeps talking bout government and expenditure? |

olaezebala: Mine was when I was still in the uni. I went to the bank to collect some money from the SUG account(being an official of the SUG). Immediately I came out of the bank, two ugly policemen walked up to me and asked me to come with them to their van. in getting there, they checked me, saw the money on me and bundled me down to their station. Unfortunately for them, some students saw what happened and reported the case at the SUB. By the time my Comrades came with lot of students already gingered with the ALUTA song, the D.P.O came to the cell where I was, called me out and begged me to go and talk to my people to calm down. When I was released and got outside their station, I fell for the superior power of the ALUTA spirit. I demanded that the two policemen that brought me to the station must beg me in front of the students which they did and I helped them with my own gift of slaps(just the way they gave it to me).i remember the Aluta spirit... anything short of the above and i wouldn't have believed your story |
