Onlytruth: Chei! Even the CBN boss? You see why I keep saying that it is insulting to the person of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to ever compare Sanusi with Soludo.you de talk masters? A first degree holder should know that. Okwa ha siri na ha g'achi?... Ha chiwa nu. |
Kobojunkie: Why the man dey sue im own country? No one tell am say im suppose be patriot . . .story... sanusi na im country? |
am still trying to put this your bits and pieces together and frankly, am finding it difficult. What does D'banj's sign up have to do with kanye and Kim?... Just asking |
bennyraz: I remember when i was 7-8yrs. I use to stammer a bit. But my brothers & cousins beat out the spirit of stammering out of me. By slapping my mouth, giving me a knock on the head e.t.c when i was 8-10. I began to speak freely. To the glory of God. I aint a stammerer. If you know of any child that stammers, beat the thing out. @OP i pity the girl & guy. What of if they both get angry at the same time, how do they express their selves? Infact how did the guy toast the girl? Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba be. I i i i i i jus just wan wan wan wan wan wan wan want to to to to tel tel tell you you you tha tha tha tha that i i i i i i lov lov love you you!make those ur brothers go open church where them go de cure stamerers. Maybe your own stamering na evil spirit de cause am oh. Na when them don beat the pikin faint na im una eye go clear |

Fynist: Ever heard of Nigerian Kiss.Since the day i kissed a girl.who bit my lips and deposited 10litres of saliva for my Mouth.i nor dey gree kiss some naija babes againinyamaaaa!!! |
PrettyCindy: I have observed that quite alot of guys fancy dating a more matured woman (not sugar mummy) to younger girls. Well i feel its a matter of what one likes but my question is who greets who first? If the age difference is upto 6, will the lady completely throw away those years and be the one greeting the younger man in the morning and anyother time?do people still cling to the junior must greet senior thing'? That, in my opinion should not be one of the points to be discussed here. Anybody can greet anybody. Greetings should not point a finger a the younger. |
basher: You are quite right. Sadly, Western model for bringing up children is the only option available to you if you live in the UK. By law, a lot is taken out of your hands and placed in the kid's.you know, i've come to find that there are other ways for parents to maintain a stronghold over their homes. True! Like you said, laws of state do not make it easy at all. But am of the opinion that with discipline and sacrifices parents can actually mould their home to taste. |
shymmex: The boys are Igbo, Edo, and Yoruba - you bigot.na wa all of una just de surprise me oh! Shymmex, coming from you Thats really nice. |
babaowo: I think best place to train our children is nigeria, especially if they are under age.you know, a lot of the times, if the topic in question has anything to do with tribe, i can already guess the kinda thing ur sure to say and it makes me laugh. Nevertheless, i think what you said above is in line. I had wiped outta my head the fact that u can make any straight and unbiased contribution...pardon me. The western mode of bringing up children and of life generally is just too liberal. It intoxicates adults not to talk of kids who are not old enough to think for themselves. They spend their life pushing the limits of their rights and exploring the boundaries of what should be and what should not that at the end of the day, most of them do not even know where the comfortable balance is. So much so that even though they are considered adults earlier than we do our kids down here, ours tend to be more in comformance than they do. |
dayokanu: This is someone that cant even control his own diick and went around molesting Australian women in his short CHOGM triplike seriously? Didn't get to hear that! |
you know, i remember back then in my final year, i had this affair with a friend's twin sister. I'll spare you the details but it didn't turn out cool when he found out. Albeit he couldn't do much cos i was older and was more of a threat to him than he could dream of being to me. If a friend must date my sister, terms and conditions' will apply and both parties will be well aware. Though am protective of my sisters, na me go marry them? And i sure ain't gonna live their life for them. |
Joel Oyewole: My motivations to write just come naturally as I receive inspiration.that inspiration is what we wanna know |
sweetcocoa: Hmm so its their preaching and prayers that have averted the road accidents? This is serious.exactly, i see these people as con artists of some sort. Even the beggars sef i see good reasons before i give out money to them, not able bodied young men and women who should be working hard to help themselves. You see these preachers, i put them in the same class with those beggars begging without reasons. |
Logic Mind: if i ever go broke, nigerian christians are a sure way for me to fill my pockets.how easy do you think it actually is? Defrauding people based on their religious beliefs isn't the best of occupations |
Do not complain. If you cant give them money then leave them alone. U can't tell if God really called them. U see car accident in nigeria has reduce in the previous years this people u are pointing out has really help to avert many road dangers but u wont knw. Real prophet of God are suffering if u dont knw. search the scripture and tell me of one rich prophet?
you know we should not because we have said prayers, refuse to stay on our guards. It is true that its God who takes care of us in the end but its equally true that we have our parts to play. Road accidents have been reduced because policemen who put up road blocks and cause accidents in their bid to extort money from motorists have been removed from the highways. Besides, who says God grants safe journey only when u pray in the vehicle? |
am confused really: what do i wish a man who indirectly wishes me ill by messing up our health system either by doing nothing or by carting away money allocated to it? Is he not the same as a man who i find aiming his gun at me? If i shoot such a man is it not called self defence? Is it really so hard to differentiate good from bad? But then: if i were in his shoes will i be any better? Still yet: does the fact that i won't be any better justify wrong actions and ill wishes? Am just thinking to myself. |
strangerf: What work? How hard is it to sit around and get fat? Trust me, even you, as d/u/m/b as you are ( and you are one of the d/u/m/b/est people i have come across in my life), you can do their work because there is nothing to be done really.C'mon dude!!! Take it easy on the lady. |
xage: Grieveur on point when things get really bad, don't go as i expect etc pen and pad are the ones i run to but these days when things are bad, i just think of pen and pad cos there's just no time to write. |

Before I begin this thread, I would love to make it known that am a practicing Christian who has no doubt about the existence of God. I just find it hard to cope with the extra magi and salt added to gospels, homilies and sermons by both ordained and self proclaimed men of God and how they go about the whole preach the gospel thing. If you happen to travel a lot with commercial vehicles within Nigeria, you are bound to have noticed the growing trend of people coming to pray and preach the gospel to/with passengers of different vehicles. It’s true that this did not start today, but it’s equally true that each day the methods applied by these preachers get more sophisticated and even funny. It’s quite obvious that the increase in the number of preachers at parks and bus stops can be attributed to the addition of that sacred part of church services where people have to offer money. Probably for God to have a better look at their contrite hearts or maybe sell them some blessings etc (don’t get me wrong, am not against making offerings to God). Most of the times, if the preacher does not have enough time to do his business, he mutters a few words, maybe of prayers or of encouragement and rushes to the all important part of asking you to ‘support the work of God’ Last week, I boarded a vehicle and just before we left a DUMB man came to pray and preach to us. He kept on making incoherent sounds and gesticulating wildly…at a point people started to stifle laughter and scream Amen and at the end of the whole show, he opened his hands and expected money, probably for the work of God which if you ask me, he did not do. I’ve equally met others who insisted on getting replies insisting that everybody in the vehicle were Christians (how did he know that?) My wonder is why do we Christians always seem to make a mockery of what we stand for? Why does it have to be about the money? There are different gifts from the same spirit…why do we all want to be preachers? N.B: don’t tell me about any other religion they can do their own thing so let’s mind our business. Consider me a brother that needs clarifications. Don’t kill me just yet cos Jesus already died. Let your comments flow |
@ alj harem: i must confess i don't have a really nice picture of you in my head but what you are doing here right now is about to change all that. We kill ourselves and then scream MURDER. Let the boys have fun while they are competing for the most dim witted fellow. I think you should relax. |

I registered in early 2010 and just like you (OP) i used to steal in (even before i registered) read then posts and leave. i initially even thought it was a site for job seekers took quite some time before i explored the whole site and found out otherwise. Especially with the advent of the new nairaland, i've been pushed to participate more. its a fun place. if it were not that i've not seen anything big enough to make me addicted, i'ld say thats where am headed. all other similar forums if they were humans would say i broke their heart...what i love about nairaland is that sense of being part of a certain community where the individuals at first are names and then gradually begin to build personalities in your head based on comments they make. Ask Odumchi where he got the mental images with which he drew his friendly caricatures. i've heard peeps talk about a get together, it would really be nice but then i ask myself what it would do to that wonderful community that exists only in our individual heads. NAIRALAND IS A GREAT PLACE |
