I can assure you that Tinubu doesn't need to worry about Ebira land. His votes are just waiting to be casted on the D-day. He should rather concentrate on other parts of the country.

The WiFi 6 indicator simply means you are connected to a WiFi device that supports WiFi 6. I think Samsung is the only OEM that indicates it next to the WiFi signal icon. Other OEMs don't.

Now, concerning the 5G+, I believe your S22 ultra is from at&t. At&t coin its mmWave and midband as 5G+.

By the way, are you connected to the MTN 5G network?

I'm not sure how to check variant but I'm using the S21 FE 5G, the SM-G990E/DS model.

SM-G990E/DS is the variant. I don't think Samsung has deployed the required update.

MTN have no competition, so they can do anyhow they feel like.

Your assertion is not entirely correct, though I agree that competition is always good, it helps keep everyone on their toes.
However, as regards device support for 5G. Some OEMs need to push the update to their devices to support 5G on carriers.

India launched its 5G services last month, and some Samsung and Apple devices were not getting their 5G at launch due to the support update not pushed to those devices.

Those whose phone support Google's RCS (Rich Communication Services) and using MTN Sim are the ones receiving those messages.

By the way, MTN now support RCS. With RCS, you can chat using supported text messaging application, like Google messaging app, with other RCS users. This works as an instant messenger using your internet connection, not airtime.

From my observation, it works when the sim is on sim one slot.

I would advise you save up and buy a 5G phone instead of a MiFi or router. Right now, there is no 5G MiFi from MTN which is the only 5G provider at the moment, only 5G router which costs 50k. Not a lot of people can afford a 50k router.

However, make sure the 5G phone support 5G band N78 (3500MHz), that's the band and spectrum allocated to MTN and Mafab.

Maybe, just maybe, he had to use the restroom or some other emergency came up.

The only problem here is that it's Ronaldo. I'm very sure if it was someone else, nobody would have noticed.

Either 64k or 128k, as long as the sim is a 4G sim, it's 5G enabled already, given that the 5G deployed by MTN is the NSA (Non-standalone) 5G. Non-standalone 5G relies on pre-existing 4G infrastructure, unlike SA (standalone) 5G.

In other words, there is no need to upgrade your 4G sim to 5G.

Officially, band N78, so Nord 2 ought to be getting the network. However, few devices are supported for now. To be honest, it's ridiculous how long it's taking MTN to resolve this issue of device support when, in fact, these devices support the required band.

India launched its 5G about a week ago, and the service providers announced that all devices that support their 5G bands would work from the launch date.

It's the same experience with MTN VoLTE. MTN launched its VoLTE service early this year, and up till now, only a few devices are supported. Why can't MTN make its services global on all supported devices?
