Now that fuel subsidy has been removed, business owners should start looking at how they can in turn increase the price of their goods and services.

Salary earners should start negotiating with their company to increase their salary after the company should have increased the price of their product or service.

And the federal and state government should also increase the salary of civil servants.

Doing all of these would reduce the suffering of the citizens while fuel subsidy stay removed and the citizens will eventually benefit from it, as the money that would have been borrowed to subsidize fuel would be borrowed to do things that would benefit the masses.

Yes but the average Nigerian doesn't know that, as far as they are concerned, fuel was subsidized and cheap under Buhari, fuel became unsubsidized and expensive under Tinubu. Therefore while Buhari was paying for fuel subsidy Tinubu stopped paying for it, that is how the average Nigerian will see it.

No measure was put in place before removing subsidy. Imagine minimum wage of 30k and u do spend 300 TFair, when fuel was being sold at 184-199. Now that d fuel is selling at d rate of 500, how much will d person be spending only on TFair.

However , I always said Dangote is no fool . He borrowed money to build the refinery . He would rather sell at the current price or higher to quickly meet his financial obligation . In fact if it is 1000 per litre the better for him . Why do you think that subsidy removal coincides with the start of his refinery ? Make we dey play dey go .

It simply means that Dangote will include all of those cost when deciding the amount he will sell his product even though he is not paying for them. Reason why Dangote price will be the same as importers.

Moving the official exchange rate from 450 to 640 in a day is nothing but devaluation, don't know what the apex bank is running away from.

If they want to unify the naira exchange rate, the idea is to figure a way to bring the parallel market down to the official rate. Devaluing the naira official rate is absolutely reckless.
