Jimasun:And when the primaries didn't go Ekwueme's way, they still supported Obasanjo. Either Obasanjo or Falae, Yoruba would still lead. But when it comes to Igbos turn, all the subversives reasons and bad names arises, simply so that it will look as if we are the problem. How are we the problem? |
Top1gun:Much preferred |
Jimasun:We supported Obasanjo and MKO delightfully. The name tag things are humourous banters. Don't take it took too serious. |
Grayoso:I don't blame you at all and what you feel about Igbos. The reality is, this cannot go for ever. You know it! One day a bright light will shine in the darkness of this country. Have you forgotten how Britain was once colonial Lord of America but today who is the boss. Have you forgotten how Rome was once invincible, ruling the world but today it is history. Come down from your high horse and let the Igbo man be. His only sin is saying "no" when you prefer yes or silence. I don't know what language again to take say it. Give Igbos chance please¡!!!! |
Let's be fair to one another and don't over politicise this issue of "who becomes Nigeria president in 2023". If this Nigeria project has reached this point of "go to hell, we have the right numbers to win any election", then the end is near. Today, we still have the chance to get it right. Let SE produce a president in 2023 in the spirit of unity and fairness. These dubious mantra of: "it's all about politics - it is a game of number", "Igbos are not plenty in APC", "Igbos don't build bridges", etc are only expedient but not helpful. If not properly handled, this " I don't care" stance will fast track Nigeria demise as one United country. Let's restructure Nigeria to the benefit of everyone not only a section of the country. Let steer Nigeria ship from the old disasterous way of doing things, to sth more practical and patriotic. Give Igbos a chance, biko nu! |
Says someone that has no direct benefit from this warped system other than a northerner leads. Whether the person is a gateman or cattle boy, he doesn't care. Abeg come down from your high horse. Is their any region in n Nigeria that can pull it all alone to become president? Unless they instead pulled out from the federation like South Sudan did. Let's be careful how we brag, because America was once a colony of Great Britain but today who's the boss. If una no gree make Igbo person lead Nigeria for once after like 50 years then make una no think say they wont leave. |
That will spell doom for Nigeria. We should be careful how we talk about numbers and be a bit reasonable. Vision, Fairness, equity and justice will take "Nigeria project" much further. Let our SW brothers please calm down and give the SE this chance. One good turn, they say deserves another. Igbos have always meant well for everyone only that they sorely detest "injustice" and are often misunderstood for being proud and competitive. |
The actor is the one on the floor. The one that will suffer it, is the one seeing red shirt. That question the policeman was asking him will make him implicate himself. "Is this how u want to collect your money?" |
Persecution of Christians is rife in the northern Nigeria. That RCCG woman(Pastor Eunice) killed near Abuja few years ago, was anything done to bring the killers to justice? No. Would they target another christian? Yes of course. After all they were excused from justice. |
sulaak:Oh that Nigeria Nightmare . |
NIS Ikoyi Office is a shame. If you have been there, you wil attest on how open day corruption have been made a norm. Is this the same in Abuja? |
If Sanwo Olu delivers this project, he will be next best to LKJ in Lagos. It always baffles me how such an overpopulated city will have no dedicated train service line. How did it ever happen? |
The handwriting on the wall is that if SE is schemed out from producing a president from both parties, I doubt if they'll want to continue being part of Nigeria. I'm surprised by the stand of Seyi Makinde. I thought SW PDP had wanted the party chairmanship all these while. I thought Bode George and Jimi Agbaje were vocal about it. Surprised too by Wike stand. If this opportunity is missed to rebalance and reunite Nigeria, it will not bode well for the project called Nigeria, because some parts of it will want to pull out. |
FUTO just embarrassed itself as an institution. Offering such a weird personality a professorship is unbecoming. |
Well, he made a valid point even though they, the elites, are disappointing. They have to embrace modern world and thinking. Marrying four wives and breeding children uncontrollably should be discouraged even if you have the means to train them. |
He makes sense for once. |
Akuko Uwa! If you had lead well there won't be any chance for this mistake called Buhari to happen. Well, it is now history. In any future big opportunity, pls be more smarter and more wiser. If you lack anything else, pls don't lack these two. You've learnt your lessons. |
Buhari, El Rufai, and co travellers have shown over time that they came into power with vengeance over Jonathan, but now in power, they ended up destroying the little left of Nigeria through their comments and actions. Will Nigeria ever return to pre Buhari era? |
Yes that's a consolation talk. The fact remains that 95% of Nigeria leaders today are disasters, and they should be called out always. |
That's the way to go until one day the wicked politicians in power will have no one to lead again. |
Wow! This is a giant!!! |
And where is the presidential sloth zoned to? |
He talks as if the constitution is cast on gold. A rigged, military engineered constitution that Buhari abuses with reckless abandon. Such non-working Constitution should have been shredded since, but I guess that's were the pendulum is swinging to, if the North don't respect itself. |
No I didn't hear this one well. Can you repeat please for those at the back. ![]() |
Lagos on the move. |
What an irreparable loss to the family. Unimaginable that just because of mobile phone, two street urchins stabbed this man to death. Not to mention the series of delays to get help. Lagos haba, why naah? What happened to 911 ambulance service? Blood transfusion too na wahala. |
Unbelievable, shocking ![]() |
Case closed. Now they agree that over the years they've strategically rigged the system to their advantage using military power. Anyway a silent restructuring is going on... 1. State police 2. Anti-Grazing 2. Vat |
El Rufai please face your North and leave South alone. Una cup don full. |
Biafra or Nigeria Presidency? Take one. |
OneTemplate:Never forget that Lagos was a federal capital for over 30 years and benefited massively from the diversity and special status of a capital city. The good thing is that subsequent govt sustained this effort. There is no state in Nigeria that is near Lagos in terms of industries and commercial activities, which is a positive for Nigeria GDP. If there is a state in SW which should be playing big in industries and commercial activities, it is Ogun State, obviously bc of its proximity to Lagos. For Ondo, I think it will still take some time to attract the right people, money and skills to come in and invest. Without right people and money, it is not that easy. I sense you want Aketi to concentrate more on Ondo State and may be SouthWest for now. Well this is his 2nd term, will he not have done reasonably okay locally? Do anyone know? Again don't forget that the centre is very powerful, more so when the wrong person is controlling that power. If you don't talk and take action when and where necessary, then the people you directly lead would not be immuned of the conseqences when it come. And who said you can't championion a regional good course without neglect of your home front. Aketi's anti-Grazing and VAT stand are very noble one, as it touches on security and economy. For me, he's a good voice especially in this period of "Ostrich" behaviours and unforced inertia by political giants, that are afraid of jeopardizing their future chances. |
OneTemplate:I see your points. Both Aketi and Sanwo-Olu types are welcomed, as far as Nigeria is moving forward in the right direction. What I hate is "barbar seat" kind of movement seen in many states and FGN. Besides Lagos and Ondo are not match. Neither is Sanwo Olu and Aketi, of the same mould. Aketi for eg cannot work well under a shadow of a God father like Sanwo Olu is doing meticulously. Different personalities! Today's Southern Nigeria need a voice and Aketi seems to doing pretty well in that role. |
