Wike expected that IPOB would have sued for peace by now. That is Wike's exit strategy. He wishes to be seen as a strong man that got IPOB to sue for peace, and I am almost certain that will not be happening.

Wike wishes to negotiate away, the bounty that IPOB placed on his head, and also negotiate away the beatings he will receive if IPOB finds him abroad.

WIke's only option now, is to carry on with the military slaughter of Oyigbo people, hoping that IPOB in Oyigbo will surrender.

If I were IPOB, I will never give in. If IPOB gives in, IPOB will loose its chance of exerting its revenge.

Of course I know this mess came about because Nnamdi Kanu is not a leadership material. As I advised a long time ago, Kanu should just stick with being the director of Radio Biafra.
A more refined person, possibly a body of Biafran elders, or people like Tony Nnadi should be chosen as the leaders of IPOB (not the registered company).

Wike is doing his worse now. He has no more troops to throw into this his battle with Kanu. All that Wike can do is to kill innocent Oyigbo people. IPOB must not sue for peace. The Oyigbo dead must be well avenged.
Is revenge the way forward? My God.

I will never stand for an army killing even one in youth. Not to even say two.

I'm saying when they come they leave destruction behind. Who do we blame?

That's the point. So to me to avoid soldier is to not incite their invite. Simple. Them no get sebse

Be it in Aba, Rivers, Port Harcourt. Owerrri

Nigerian Army on its own has been cultured to hate the south. Some people come give them invitation. You sef check am out.?

We all. Know the non-southern soldier is technically trained to hate people that don't look like them fine.... But why then invite them? Why?
Nigerian army has done worst in the middle-belt as it has done in the south. There is always this ethnic thing about the security forces that have made Nigeria a worst place to live in. This is the reason why people are asking questions about how this country is run. The earlier we change this culture, the better. Else, a time might come when people won't trust the military. It's happening where people take laws into their hands. If there is justice nothing of such will happen. But the country is badly stained.

Make you self check am.

This was exactly what happened. They went on a killing rampage and where gloriously celebrating it. While it appeared they were winning it seemed sweet at first.

But it became too much. When consequences are triggered. All we're hearing is people hate igbo. People do igbo.

I rather in the entire country do things with an igbo than anyone else. But I won't Bury the truth of what transpired.

Protest shouldn't be taken as legitimacy to go on Needless killing spree
I asked you a question but I didn't get any answer. If you want peace in Oyigbo you would forgo revenge in your heart. Ask for justice rather. Let the culprit be tried and if found guilty sentenced. This is because from when you guy began taking revenge instead of justice, things got worst. If you use your thinking faculty, you would ask yourself why Jos, Southern Kaduna, Agatu, Mile 12 etc have become a killing field for your people and the indigenes. Have the years of revenge solved anything?

Oyigbo crisis didn't start today. They’ve been a problem going on in not just that axis, but other places. The EndSARS actually brought another dimension to it, the same way it brought another dimension to Fagba.

Oyigbo was the only place innocent northern businessmen were massaccred in cold blood by a proscribed secessionist group ipob.

This could have degenerated into inter-ethnic war with reprisals in the North if drastic measures were not taken. Some selfish ipobs were happy thinking the reprisals to their oyigbo killings would happen to innocent igbos in the north (they were even mocking them for not returning home) not knowing there are several ways to skin a cat.

So all these in addition to the army & police killings by the same proscribed group in the same town.

That is the key difference that many are pretending or deliberately refusing to acknwoledge.
I guess Fagba didn't happen in Nigeria, only Oyigbo happened. And Oyigbo must pay for killing northerners according to you. Even if it means wiping out the whole community? So what happened to apprehending the culprits and allow them face justice? Why must we always toe the line of ethnicity and religion in this country. This is why a lot of people are questioning the unity of this country. It is in things like this, we should prove why the country should remain one and not divide it the more. Justice and fairness, nothing more, nothing less.

Let me tell you something, after the dust calms down in Oyigbo, expect a new wave of retaliations and killings. Why? Because people would want justice and they’ll take laws into their hands. Expect more revenge and watch it spiral into other parts of Rivers state in the future. This has been the problem in Nigeria and we seems not to learn anything from it. Since the army took sides in Jos, Agatu, Mambilla, Zango-Kataf, Mile 12, Ife etc did anything changed? Rather it made things worse. From generation to generation the fight continued.

If the job is to arrest and try all involved in the crisis with fairness, then peace will reign. But when you use the military to make things worse, then nothing is solved.

It's very annoying how they incite other people and make them feel guilty for actions they solely took albeit stupidly and unplanned with given careful though about possible consequences it could trigger
The truth is that we must be objective in our argument. If IPOB are the troublemakers, must we allow the security kill at will? What happens to arrest? Is extrajudicial killings part of the mandate of the army in Oyigbo? If so then the purpose of EndSARS, EndExtrajudicialKillings is a waste of time.

Your answer means you support killings of innocent civilians by the security operatives. If so, then don't complain if the army because of few troublemakers in your village, level everywhere to revenge the death of their comrades. Don’t even complain if your son is shot by the Police without trial to prove his innocence.

Was Oyigbo the only place they burnt Police station? The madness in Benin and Lagos was worst than that in Rivers, yet we didn't see Police retaliation. Whether IPOB or not, Wike has made a fool of himself by allowing the security personnel do as they wish. It was the same nonsense he did in Onne with Stanley Mgbere. Inasmuch, as I dislike IPOB, any security operative that carries out extrajudicial killings on civilians should be arrested, prosecuted and hanged. We can not be protesting against EndExtrajudicialkillings and yet some idiots are allowed to carry out killings at any given opportunity. What happens to arresting people? What are the courts made for in the first place? Any animal carrying out a new wave of Odi or Zaki-Ibiam anywhere in Nigeria must be made pay for it.

IkwerrePikin:
[s]Members of the Rivers State caucus of the National Assembly have affirmed their support for measures taken by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, to rein in the Indigenous Peoples Organization of Biafra (IPOB) in the State.

The lawmakers said they unconditionally stand with Governor Wike on every actions he has taken to preserve lives and properties of all residents in the State.

Leader of the caucus, Senator George Sekibo, stated this when he led members of the caucus on a solidarity visit to Governor Wike at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday.

Sekibo explained that the caucus had been impressed with efforts and commitment of the governor in the handling of EndSARS protest and the aftermath. According to him, while the governor had ensured that the protest was peaceful, traducers and enemies of the State masquerading as IPOB decided to cause mayhem; kill innocent residents and even security officers; destroy properties of the State and citizens, especially in Oyigbo, Obio Akpor and Port Harcourt Local Government Areas.

“As a caucus, we want to state our unalloyed support for your re-affirmation of the proscription of the Indigenous Peoples Organization of Biafra (IPOB)in line with the categorisation of the group as a terrorist organisation by the Federal Government”

“We also want to unequivocally state that Rivers State cannot and will never be annexed by any group, organisaiton or person(s) whatsoever, as we are Niger Delta people and will always stand for the course of the Niger Delta, her people, dreams and aspirations”, he said.

Sekibo emphasised that if the powers that be had listened when in 2016 the Governor called the attention of the world to the atrocious activities of the default Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SAR) in Rivers State, the nation will not have suffered the colossal loss of lives and properties during and after the protest.

In his response, Governor Wike lauded the caucus for the solidarity visit and reaffirmed that he will continue to do all that is required to protect and defend the State.

He explained that members of IPOB capitalised on the contiguousness of Oyigbo to Abia State to invade the community and unleash violence, resulting in the death of six soldiers and four policemen.

The governor who vowed that IPOB will never be allowed to exist within Rivers State, reiterated that law abiding Igbos and other nationalities shall continue to live and do business in the State unmolested.

He reiterated that if the Federal Government had not politicised security, steps should have been taken to checkmate the notorious activities of the default SARS. He further blamed politicisation of security for the reason why the State’s Neighbourhood Watch has not taken off.

The Governor assured the lawmakers that when the State receives the N78billion refund from the Federal Government, the money will be judiciously used for the benefit of the entire State.

Furthermore, Governor Wike declared that he will supervised the employment of 5000 youths into the State Civil Service in order to ensure that no community, ward, Local Government Area was marginalised.
