So, any links posted by any of the Protestants should be disregarded. Don’t even visit the Sites let alone reading it. There is nothing new in their attacks or write-ups. It has been confirmed here as we all have seen and read so far. I have read a lot of it in the past right from my childhood to this very moment, but my happiness is that those write-ups contrary to their expectations have continued to build my Catholic faith even stronger, and any article that condemns Catholic Church must of no doubt be written by the so-called anti-Catholics. They cannot write any good thing about Catholic Church, so disregard any links they have posted here or any other place.

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. I think God has given me this courage. My Catholic faith is now stronger than before.

The Catholics has the Jerusalem Bible, but the Protestants reform the bible in 16th Century and removed some of the facts that would have backed Catholic teachings. The motive of that was to give wrong impression that Catholic teachings are not biblical, hence deceiving those that would continue to fall for their traps. They are interested in making money and not the word of God.

Christ said that His Church must be one, and today no other church can claim that oneness except Catholic Church.

Go to Luke 1 vs 9 where Zechariah was burning incense when the Angel Gabriel came to him. The Protestants have continued to rewrite that verse by saying the Angel Gabriel came to Zechariah not at the time of the Incense. What is their motive? It is just to condemn Catholic Church from burning incense, and to ask them to show any biblical backing for it. In next 6 years, every Protestant bible will have it that the Angel Gabriel came to Zechariah – not at the time of the incense. Just mark my word.

They are the ones twisting bible to soothe their evil motives.

The Woman in Revelation 12 is no other person than Mary

Pilgrim, you are getting everything wrong. Truly, I said the dragon was Satan, and remember I pointed out also that the dragon used Herod to unsuccessfully kill the Child. So, my point is that the dragon could appear in many forms - all working for the same purpose. The dragon could use Israel to accomplish its goal. I used Herod in my explanation in a paragraph, while Israel in another paragraph. We know that Herod was not a dragon but he was used by dragon (Satan) – and so could be likened to dragon. You can even call your fellow human being Satan when he’s up to evil desire. This does not mean the person is the Satan rather Satan has taken over his heart. Jesus asked Peter “Get thou behind me Satan.” This didn’t mean Peter was Satan, but Satan had taken position in his heart.

We don’t see Satan physically, but human beings come to you in form of Satan. No physical devil had attacked Israel. I have not heard it before.

So your explanation that the dragon had tried many times to wipe Israel (the mother of the Child) is baseless. The devil can only attack the angels, and the angels are also able to see Satan and fight back. If the dragon had attempted to wipe Israel, such dragon must come in human form and not physically. So, Israel or Herod played the role of this dragon and tried to kill the Child when He was born.

You also pointed out that they delivered Jesus to the Gentiles because of Jesus statements. Please, try to pray for wisdom so that the Holy Spirit will guide and help you understand the bible. Don’t get it literally. The gentiles had no hand in Jesus crucifixion, though Jesus Christ died for all mankind whether Gentiles, Jews or whatever. When Jesus said they delivered Him to the gentiles – He was referring to those who never believed in the Name of the Messiah (Jesus), and these Jews were referred as gentiles. Please don’t get me wrong here, I understand that the Jews were different from the gentiles but for the purpose of Jesus remarks at that point in time – He was referring to the Jews who were hell bent to get Him killed. You understand that Jesus taught in parables and you need to be guided by the Holy Spirit to understand His teachings. The bible made it clear that it was the Jews that killed Jesus. Pilate who was not a Jew, he even said he found nothing against this man (Jesus) that the Jews should go and judge Him according to the law. Pilate tried his best to get Jesus released but the Jews shouted crucify Him, crucify Him. So, I don’t need to explain to you that it was the Jews that killed Jesus. Pilgrim don’t argue this very clear evidence.

As you said, the Dragon was not able to kill the Child because He was "caught up unto God, and to his throne" (Rev. 12:5). This simple means that the Power of God was with the Child
because the angel came and told Joseph in his dream the plan of this dragon (Herod) and they fled to Egypt to avoid those that sought the life of the Child. The question now, who wanted to take away the Child’s life? It was Satan. Now, did Satan come to kill the Child physically? No, it was through Herod. So Herod was now the dragon because Satan filled his heart with evil.

Let me ask you again - this dragon came to kill this Child in what form? Remember, Rev. Chapter 12 said that the dragon also sough to kill the Child and not only the mother. You only said the dragon attacked the mother of this Child which you claimed to be Israel, but you have not said how the dragon came against this Child. Could you explain it?

To summarize it all, the Mother of this Child was Mary and not Israel. So, Israel (Herod) was used by Satan (dragon) to get the Child killed, but didn’t succeed.

At times, I feel like exploding because of the way some people argue without listening. There was a day I read some stuffs in Nairaland about Catholic, my actions that very day would have landed me in jail due to anger as I was venting my anger on some people on the way.

Catholics have said many times that they don’t worship Mary, but Satan would always tell these people – don’t listen to them, just remind them once more what Pope said about Mary, that they should put their trust in her. What does that mean?

Catholics believe that Jesus is their only saviour, but Satan would still ask them – don’t agree with them, what of those big titles they give only Mary – just call their attention to those names.

Catholics believe idol worship is one of the gravest sins that can incur the wrath of God, yet Satan would still tell them – why not ask them all those statues in their various churches, and Protestants would do as Satan had told them.

Catholics also believe in Infant Baptism – Satan would also push them – ok ask them where infants were baptized in bible, make dem quote the portions make we see. However, Satan cannot tell them to quote the exact portions in the bible that condemned infant baptism, rather they will prefer to give references such as ‘believe and be baptized, that a child cannot believe.’

The truth is that, no portions in the bible condemned infant baptism. It is even John Chapter 3:5 that encouraged infant baptism because it says NO ONE can enter the kingdom of God except you are born of Water and Spirit. Here, NO ONE includes children, it didn’t say No Man or Woman, rather NO ONE. But when Catholic gives such reference in the bible, they will still ask “show us the exact portions where bible instructed that infants should be baptized. But they have not given us exact portions to back their points.

The problem with you (Protestants) is trying to prove the show us in the ‘bible syndrome.’ We said Elizabeth who was filled with the Holy Spirit called Mary the “Mother of My God” but the Protestants asked if bible instructed Catholics to call Mary the “Mother of God.” They saw it in the bible but they want a specific instruction for it. John Chapter 1 proved that Jesus is God yet they said Mary is not the Mother of God the SON made MAN.

So, I have come across the portions where Jesus addressed Himself as the Lamb of God, Lion of Judah, and that of the Holy Spirit compared with a Dove. However, as we continue the show me in the bible syndrome, I now asked you (Protestants) to show me any specific instructions where Jesus Christ or God Himself instructed you to address Him as the Lamb of God. He only addressed Himself as the Lamb of God, but He didn’t tell any person to call Him such names. If there is any portion(s) of the bible where Jesus ordered us to compare Him with those Imageries, please, we (Catholics) want to see it. We are now in the show us in the bible phase. But if you cannot show Catholics any portion(s) to back your point – then, did God contradict Himself when He said we should not liken or compare Him with anything in heaven or under it or beneath the earth?

Remember, Catholics have given references in the bible where the same God who condemned Images instructed Israelites to make Image of a wood (Covenant Box), but you (Protestants) asked if God instructed Catholics to make Images, despite God’s power that manifested in that very Covenant Box. So, I repeat, did Jesus ask you to call Him a Lamb, Lion (Animals). Who’s worshiping idols now?

So, why addressing Him in Imageries? Imageries and Images are the same. You (Protestants) also worship idols? Pilgrim and Cgift, can you free Protestants by show Catholics any portions that instructed you to address Jesus with such names, no reference – we want exact instructions.

It says according to the custom of Priesthood – which means Priests are required to burn Incense for God. Don’t just condemn Incense simply because some Pagans are burning Incense for Satan. You should better hide your face in shame. You are such that attend catechism classes only to cram everything, but don’t understand a single line of what Catholic teaches. We all know that being a Priest is not easy, and every Priest will tell you that he had committed Himself being a Priest, but not because the Catholic teachings are false - there are a lot of disciplines and orderliness in Priesthood. That is what your friend who is a Priest is trying to let you know. To be a Priest in Catholic Church, you must be ready to carry your cross and follow Christ, that is Christianity. Catholic Priests are not like Protestants who anoint their men within 3 years of training, only to see them messing around, jumping up and down after they might have taken some weeds – join with alcoholics and they are now charged to demonstrate deadly blows that always bring the followers down. A miracle of falling has happened.

Could you imagine someone who claimed she Confirmed in Catholic Church and have never heard of Church goer or being very Churchous.

So, all your years in Catholic Church, you have not come across John Chapter 20 vs21-25 where Jesus Christ blessed His disciples and said “receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, any sin you forgive they are forgiven, the ones you retain are retained.” I repeat go and hide your face in shame, you have demonstrated that while you were a Catholic – you was jumping from Church to Church. You was not born a Catholic, but something chased you out from your original church to Catholic, now to another church. Tomorrow will be white garment. I’m not even sure you were a Catholic even.

I have read all your posts but of the view that your explanations are really on shaky ground and does not in any way relate to the revelation. As for Cgift, I hope Pilgrim had already kicked your points out - that Christ did not come out of the Church rather the Church was established after Christ. So, the woman is not the Church.

Now Pilgrim, you said the woman referred in Revelation Chapter 12 was Israel and the dragon was or were foreign nation(s) that attempted to wipe Israel. Let me remind you, Israel as a nation could not be the woman hence less than 10% of the Israelites believed in the name of the Son (Jesus) the woman gave birth. It was still the Jews (Israel) the dragon used and tried unsuccessfully to kill the Child when He was born, and not foreigners. The Jews (Dragon or Herod) was not able to kill the Child because the Mother fled to a foreign land. This shows that the dragons was or were not those foreign nation(s) you claimed, because God used a foreign nation (Egypt) to save the Child’s life from His own people (Israel). It was because of the Child that hundreds of innocent babies were killed by Herod - not foreigners perpetrated this heinous act against the innocent babies, just because of the Child. It was the same Jews that finally killed the Child when it was the time to fulfill the prophesy of the old, and foreigners had no hand in it. Your interpretation(s) that the dragon was those nations that sought to wipe Israel was totally far from the truth and had nothing to do with Revelation Chapter 12. Up till this moment, less than 40% in Israel believe in the name of this Child whom God has given every authority. It was still Israel (Jews) that started the persecutions of the remaining children of this woman who kept or keeps the Commencements of God as revealed in Rev. Chapter 12.

So, if Israel was the mother of the Child referred in Revelation Chapter 12 as you said, how the same mother could turn against the remaining of Her children because it was obvious that the remaining Children believed in the name of the child and kept the Commandments of God.
Could you now see that this woman was no other person than Holy Mary and Her remaining Children are Catholic faithful who have taken Her as their mother?

Could you humbly accept that any person who has not accepted this woman as a mother is not among those who keep the Commandments of God?

I hope you have now believed that those Pastors who write rubbish against Catholic (the remaining children of this woman) belong to this devilish dragon?

Could you now pray for wisdom to distinguish the true Catholic Church founded by Christ Himself from those money making venture churches whose Pastors have no other motives than to enrich themselves at the expense of their deceived followers?

Images and Imageries Another Explanation for you Protestants.

Some people use their hands to condemn themselves. God said do not make any images or liken Him with anything in Heaven or under Heaven, yet we address Christ as the Lion of Judah. Is this not Imagery (Smiley)? I have explained this many times that from Imageries we have Images. Imagery is oral expression which is figure of Speech and it helps adults to understand better and not children. But Image is the drawing or picture or statue and they helps to increase understanding especially for children.

No difference between two of them, yet we go ahead to using Imageries when addressing Christ. You often say that the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles like a dove. This is Imagery and it is smiley. No, you are trying to explain or visualizing the manner which the Holy Spirit came, that is very gentle – as gentle as a dove. You critics always address Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the word. Is Jesus a lamb (animal)? No, you are also trying to explain the purpose why Jesus came to this world. A Lamb is used for sacrificial purpose. So, Jesus came to sacrifice His life to redeem mankind.

With the above explanations which (you) Protestants use always, it then means you have gone contrary to the Commandments of God – that you should not liken Him with anything? You can see how you have condemned yourselves base on your sheer ignorance of the bible. It is quite sure that each time you address Jesus as the Lamb, your mind don’t see Him as an animal, in the same way, when Catholics bow before images, our hearts are focused on the Living God.

Now I accuse you (Protestants) of worshiping Lamb, Lion and Dove

Any difference between Imageries and Images? Then, point them out to free Protestants from the same accusation you labeled against Catholics. Free yourself now.

Thank you guys! for the various mails. I am happy to say i was not born catholic, i converted to the faith and the good Lord knows i have not had one single day of regret.
In my own case i don't try to justify my doctrine to any person i just worship because i realised it years ago that a lot of people are not armed with the information they need to have an intelligent argument .

Why is Pope kissing the Koran - as the Koran is a taboo? That is the way Protestants reason, interpreting the bible base on their skimpy knowledge. I refused to continue my training for Priesthood on personal decision. I was afraid of failing after my ordination. You know, no one is forced to be a Priest, and it’s not easy being a Priest. The training itself is enough to tell you what you are going to face. It has nothing to do with Catholic teachings. It's not good after spending 16 years or over, you come and mess yourself up.

No good thing can come from them. They like to twist any article(s) just to condemn Catholic Church, twisting any Cardinal(s) or Bishop(s) comment(s) for reasons I cannot just understand. However, in spite of their evil strategies to ruin Catholic, they have continued to dwindle while Catholic Church is waxing stronger. The gate of Hell cannot prevail the true Catholic Church founded by Christ Himself. It won’t just work. I'm still waiting for anybody to point out to me any portion(s) in the bible that states - the only source of our knowledge for God is in the bible, and any other thing outside the bible is a sin. I have not sin that portion. The bible is just a guide to help those who might have chosen to argue like Thomas who wanted to see Christ and put his finger into the hole before believing. It does not contain every truth about the Apostles and their successors. Instead, the last Chapter of John made it clear that, not everything Christ did was recorded in the bible. Christ and His Apostles handed some of Christ's teachings orally. So, some of these backyard Churches and Pastors should stop deceiving people with their 3 years knowledge in theology.

This issue of whether it is in the bible is for those who have meagre knowledge about the whole truth, and they have refused to ask due to greed. They are making their money, deciving those that fell to their traps. lean-to tears for my Protestant firends. I hope God will open your eyes.

I’m not trying to flatter her, because I stand to gain nothing. It’s true that she may not agree with us (Catholics) on so many issues, but she has not insulted anyone. So, it’s wrong to call her witch because of her position on this discussion.

The so-called churches should forget about Europe, America and some African Countries where there are safe haven for Christianity because some other Orthodox Churches like Catholic Church etc has already spearheaded the way in all these places. These churches are not impressing Christ and they are only interested in the places they will make easy money, afraid of persecution and death. I think they should try Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Palestine, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Botswana etc. They should go there and tell the Talibans what they are doing is not in the bible and perform the miracles they fake in Nigeria. Even in most parts of Lebanon – let them come and preach Christ in all these places and make a noise with their loudspeakers, if they are lucky enough, a kind and brotherly warning of 24 lashes will be given to them as penalty for public disturbance. But if they are not lucky enough – their heads will be blown into pieces. Though, there are Catholic Churches in all these places mentioned facing challenges. All these churches like Winner Chapel, Redeemed, Christ Embassy, Oshimoho something Church, etc can only come in and make a hell of noise maybe after Catholic has watered the ground. It is not enough to open churches in almost every street and make noise about it in Nigeria and other cool places. I believe Christ knows His true Church and those faking themselves – they are only interested in extorting money from their easy-deceived followers – sad enough. I want their presence in places like Burundi, Somalia, Botswana, Iraq, Iran, Palestine, Afghanistan etc. Let them go and be fishers of men there and stop disturbing us with their born again syndrome.

I visited Afghanistan last two weeks and I wanted a Church to go and interact with their Pastors, but I only saw Catholic Priests, Missionaries etc and their helpless position to establish Christianity there, They are killed often time and they keep on sending more missionaries. That alone made me to change my wrong perception about Catholic Church. Christianity means carry your cross and follow Christ. No Cross, No Christianity. The early Apostles carried their crosses, going to all the No-Go-Area Places. But, here we are only in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Australia, America, Europe etc claiming to be doing the work of God – but the truth is that they are busy making cool money in all these safer places. (No offence please) but it’s part of the evangelization I’m doing.

The founder of this Winner Chapel and other Churches are far interested in the truth. We clap hands, jump up, shake buttocks in the Church and most Pastors sees them and shout ‘wow’. We think those Pastors are filled with the Holy Spirit, but the truth is that the buttocks around have really taken over the brain, and we sit down smiling. Let us face the truth. In our Bible Chapter 6 of it put things clear for us to know who is who.

It's really a throwaway society we live in because we no longer seek the face of God. Non-apologetic throwaway salvation for wealth, throw away truth for staged miracle – now it’s magic, etc. There's something terribly wrong about our Churches and I’m sorry to say that Winner Chapel is derailing because if what I’m hearing is something to go about – I had rather advised you all to seek a better Church. We have churches almost every street in Nigeria but they are not to the glory of God. I’m bushed of them, lean-to tears for the irreverence of the Pastors, not only in winner Chapel. What an easy deceived followers! Oh God come to their help.
