I have responded to this question by another fellow. Let me remind you that the experience we require is mostly the "practical knowledge " and it requires your engagement in your field either by employment or voluntary services.
One of the major reasons for experience is in the area of sound decision making and this encompasses good judgment, Conflict resolution and people management. In any organisation, every employee is a decision maker and a single decision by any employee can kill an organization.

It is better for us to train our new hires on the job when they are already experienced in the aforementioned areas.

If you have observed, the reasoning of some "graduates" and their responses to either criticisms or opinions here on nairaland vindicates this minimum requirement. More so, if you have been a course representative, an association leader/executive, completed your industrial training and or NYSC without experience, then you may have neglected their usefulness and aim.

I currently work as a customer care officer but worked for 6± years as a porter & receptionist in a hotel while studying. Presently, battling wit making career choice & keeping a good CV although thinking of HR career. Is the hotel job still worth using it on my CV? I ask dis because most recruiters focus on post-NYSC work experience & I see dat most pple only indicate there post-NYSC work experience.

I met this lady on a social app. She friend-zoned me for some 3 months though I made her realize my intention.

She keeps disturbing me with lengthy chats. She can chat for 24 hours. And that alone was getting on my nerves, that I started snubbing her on chat. I only respond once in a while.

I took it as an invitation, so I brought up the issue of dating again. She said we should meet and discuss it.

We set a date for the date. In the morning of the set date, on whatsap she told me she is coming with a friend of her. I thought she feared for her security and was trying to play safe...I agreed they should come together.

We went to Cumbaland (Indian restaurant)...chop all the choppables (Chop my money). We still continued the discussion, she ended up not giving me any tangible answer.

2 weeks later, she said the weekend will be boring for her, she will be home alone, she said she wants to come to my house. Chaii my head bounced. I was like chaii...this is the opportunity.... On the Saturday morning when I went out to pick her at the bus stop close to my house, I saw a lady beside her, I thought the lady was just a passerby...to found out she was the same friend she brought on the first day (her makeup confused me). They came, I ran my generator for 8 ours they spent with me glued to my DSTV watching telemondo/MTV. She wouldnt even talk to me.

I later invited her to my inner room where I made my move, she refused and started cursing. So I dont want it to turn to a rape scenario, I let her go.

Later on whatsap, I asked why she keeps bringing her friend, she said she cant go anywhere without her.

I said OK...This bad thought just came to my mind. I knew I had nothing to loose again. I have spent already (thats a loss on its own). Nothing can be worse.

So I intentionally invited her over to my house this time...as usual she brought her friend which was part of my plan.

When opportunity presented itself, I collected her friends number. I took a risk, I told her not to tell my girl. To my dismay she cooperated with me, I pinged her on whatsap, she responded and we started flowing just neutrally.

The next time we agreed to go to the beach. I was very surprised to see this girl dressed sexily, even over dressed more than my girl. My eyes stayed glued on her that my girl nearly caught me. May be she did, may be not.

In the night I buzzed her and I told her how sexy she was that day. I told her I felt like kissing and foundling her that day.

She said "you should have done it infront of your girl" jokingly.

I said "Do you know my girl doesnt stop us", she said "Hmmmm"

Shockingly she said "I know there is nothing between you guys"

I was shocked. So my girl told her friend she had nothing for me.

I told the lady, why is she doing this to me? She hasnt given me any answer and when I make any move, she bark like dog. What does she want, shes confusing me....

In short, na so her friend agreed to come to my house alone ooo. It was on a rainy Saturday. She barely enters my house when we started the "You know what " (close your eyes).

I was at my office one day when I saw pings...my girl started blasting...

This one pays 20K monthly plus bonuses as the person completes hires and other recruitment tasks. The person would work with me until he masters the recruitment life cycle.
The real catch to the job is that the bonuses paid for each hire made is roughly equal to and in many cases higher than the 20k salary. e.g the other intern here hired 4 candidates last months and was paid 15k per head i.e 60k in addition to his 20k salary hence he went home with 80k.

I never knew workforce charge for training. I had interview wit them last year. Subsequently, i was given there website name to go & download there guarantor form, fill n submit as soon as possible. I couldn't make it because i had some companies calling me at the time. So decide to choose my present job.

My broda, 4get NIM because it has not direction. It add notin to ur CV. I am saying dis from experience. Makes u a jack of all trade master of none. I guess NIM is mostly relevant for civil servants. If you're working and you take it, your firm 'may' give you 'more' role in project team to contribute your 'knowledge' which earn you experience and qualifies you to take PMP (if you wish). More so, you will have financial absorber to re-take the exam when it expires.

If you're not working, the fact is, you may not get employed before the stuff expires, and the moment it does, you can not refer to it again except you retake it.

Opinion: if you must take exam, why not take permanent professional one, get a job and if you still love PM, do the needful. Or take up a volunteering job in PM if you so love the field, that experience is far resounding than CAPM.

OK!!! If i understand u, u are against certificates dat expires or irrelevant and not advising against taking professional course/exams.

I wrote a project management exam during my service year wit IPMP and d certificate titled Certified Project Manager. I also did NIM. Since then it add nothing to my CV, present job (call center agent) or employability. I see it as a waste of resources.

Recently, I have bin on a cross-road wit my present job & i need a better job. Have re-written my CV severally yet d jobs ain't coming. I have thought of doing a professional course & i am considering CISCO or any course in Human Resources. The probability of duin CISCO is low considering dat i don't have IT background but HR may take high probability cos i studied Coop. Econs & Mgt.
