Senegal won! That means FIFA world cup ranking is valid. And for those who might have forgotten, Senegal is ranked #20 in the world and Egypt #45. So, congratulations to Senegal! A job well done! |
"He said; as a Governor of Rivers State, I know Amaechi. He came, and immediately, the face of Rivers State changed. He prioritized on education, health care, infrastructure development, security and agriculture. You can also see what he is doing as a Minister of Transportation. For forty years, our railway sector was moribund." Same northern Nigerians who endorsed Muhammad Buhari in 2015 and we have seen what Buhari presidency has turned out to be. Muhammad Buhari presidency has turned out to be a curse and destruction to nigeria. The day Rotomi Amaechi becomes the president of Nigeria, Nigeria will end. Mr. Rotomi Amaechi is a tribalist and the greatest bigot the world has ever known. He is a thief . He is a very lazy man. He lack skills to be a leader. He is a puppet. He is a professional ass kisser. He did not get transportation job because he has skills, but because he kissed ass.. Mr. Amaechi will never be president of Nigeria, full stop. |
“I have come for you to show me the way, to carry me on your back across the bridge.” Bode George wished him well." Seeking support sits at the heart of good democracy. Mr. pius Anyim knows it and that is why he is going out to broaden his support. What Mr. Pius Anyim should do next is to issue a strong statement of condemnation to those supporting zoning and presidential rotation. Zoning is undemocratic, not democracy. That kind of statement will show that Mr. Anyim is not afraid to lose. And it will also show that he is committed to making sure democracy keeps growing in Nigeria. So far, I am encouraged by the ways in which Nigerian leaders are campaigning and talking about issues they care for. I bet you Nigerians are listening to Mr. Anyim, Tinubu and others talking about issues concerning to the lives of most Nigerians and want them to solve. I am truly impressed! Lets go get it! |
Egypt advanced! The good news is penalties only decided the winner of a football game, not the better of the two sides. Oh God, I know how the Cameroonians are feeling now from this unexpected loss. When the news of Nigeria loss came to me, I was down not for one day, but many days. So, I pray that the Cameroonians would get over this loss in a shorter time. Next is Egypt vs Senegal. Is ranking valid? Senegal is ranked #20 in the world, Egypt #45, and Cameroon #50 So, if the ranking holds, Senegal should win the AFCON? Waiting to see the result! |
Bikefab"Watch out for Egypt and Senegal at the finals...#ManeVsSalah The same Egypt we were jubilating after winning them" I disagree! I pick Cameroon to win the tournament final for three reasons. First, they being there a few times. Second , Cameroon is playing at home. And third, this Egyptian team is not as good as advertised . They weak at defense and front. |
"Senegal overcame Equatorial Guinea to set up an Africa Cup of Nations semi-final against Burkina Faso." Congratulations to both Senegal and Burkina, and especially Burkina Faso. Burkina Faso is playing in the final four of AFCON? Are you kidding me? This is a country of only two million people. Nigeria is a country of over 200 million and barely make it past first round of the tournament. Just amazing achievement by Burkina Faso. I love story of a come back kid. That is what Burkina Faso story is in 2022 AFCON tournament. And thank you again for making me of your country! |
"Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar paid a courtesy call on governor Abubakar Sani Bello at the government house in Minna. Speaking to journalists after a closed door meeting with the governor he said he will declare his presidential ambition in due time." Vice President Atiku Abubakar should strongly consider not running for president anymore for many reasons. First, he would not be elected. Second, he is too old. He has been running for president ever since i was born. Third, he wants to use the office of the presidency to marry more wives. Fourth, he got nothing to offer that anyone knows about. Fifth and finally, military is going to take back power very soon in Nigeria. Why wasting his time? |
"Twenty three suspected terrorists has been killed and thirty seven others arrested by operatives of the Sokoto State police command." Good job by the Police! And you know why the police are killing and arresting these bandits now? It is because the governor of Sokoto state Aminu Tambiwai just announced his intention to run for president. Listen, governor Aminu Tambiwai cannot run for 2023 presidential election successfully while his state is a hot bed for bandits. The police is killing bandits now so that governor Tambiwai can say to nigerians, I kill all the bandits in my state and I can do that to Nigeria if I get elected president . That is the narrative governor Tambiwai wants to create before going into presidential campaign. It is well planned out. Governor Aminu Tambiwai is a mob boss. And Mobs are smart! |
Primate Ayodele " d of the 2023 Presidential election, PDP must not use a rotational method to pick a candidate. The party needs the best candidate, and the rotational method won’t help." I agree! Zoning or rotation is dictatorship. In democracy, people decide the winner. That is what Primate Ayodele and I are calling for. It is people's power that allows a leader to succeed. 2023 presidential election in Nigeria is for PDP to lose. That is because the ruling party has failed. Please follow the laws of political gravity; It states that when the ruling party fails, the opposition party wins the election. We saw this in 2016 US election. Kenya in 2007. Nigeria in 2015 when Goodluck Jonathan failed to stop insecurity in Nigeria. PDP needs to conduct its party primaries and go with whoever emerges as the winner. No zoning or rotation. If PDP primaries results are free and fair, PDP will win General election in a landslide. That I can bet on. |
"The African Union on Monday suspended Burkina Faso a week after the volatile country suffered its latest coup, as diplomats from West Africa and the UN began talks with the new junta." I disagree with the positions taken by the UN and the ECOWAS states in imposing sanctions against Burkina Faso military regime. Burkina Faso said it took power because of insecurity in the country. That is a good rationale for military take over. For years I have been reading about killings in Burkina Faso and both the UN and ECOWAS states did nothing to stop the killings. Why are the UN and ECOWAS states pushing back on Burkina Faso military for trying to help their country men and women to live in peace? Very wrong! |
Hello Smallmail: " who is the right candidate?" My favorite and the right candidate is Umana Okon Umana. He is from Akwa Ibom State. Here is Mr. Umana Okon Umana resume: He was a former budget Director, Former commissioner for finance Former secretary of state to Akwa Ibom State government Former governorship candidate in 2015 Currently serving as CEO and Managing Director gas and oil Zone authority In fact, I have no information about whether he will jumb into the race. So, I am keeping my fingers cross |
"One Of Them Will Be The President Of Nigeria 2023 " Pure lie! Tinubu or Osinbayo has no chance to become President of Nigeria. Whoever made this prediction does not know how to analyze a news story. And here is why: 2023 Presidential election is for PDP to lose. The ruling party or APC is not performing. Research shows that when the ruling party is failing, the opposition party wins the election. political scholars from left and right have examined this important history. This includes the brutal violence that followed Kenya presidential election in 2007 shocked the world conscience (Sriram & Brown, 2012); the shrunk in Turkey political left led to overwhelming victory by the political right, ( Kalaycioglu, 2007) The only thing standing against PDP victory in 2023 is the party picking a wrong candidate for the presidency. |
"According to the source, the gunmen, riding on over 30 motorcycles with two heavily armed men on each motorcycle, attacked the [b]communities at 11:00pm." Rising increase in violence proved Nigeria has no government. A government is an organization that protects lives and property. As evidence is showing , lives are lost every minute and property destroyed. Where is government in Nigeria? |
"THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Saturday detained the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Osita Okechukwu, over a case of alleged conspiracy, abuse of office and misappropriation of public funds to the tune of N1.3billion." Mr. Okechukwu detention is to make efcc to look like they are working, but the truth is as soon as Mr. Okechhukwu gives up 10% of the money he stole to efcc officials, he will be cleared and out of the door. In my life time, no agency has many corrupt officials than efcc. They love publicty. That is why they are quick to publicize the people they arrest. Shut down efcc for good! |
"Tinubu had stayed in the United Kingdom for over three months in 2021 when he underwent surgery and therapy for knee injury. Is Mr. Bola Tinuba on crunches? I bet you he is on medical tour in UK. I am talking about Mr. Bola Tinubu. You cannot trust this guy. He claimed a few days ago of being 64 years old. That was a lie. He is between 94 to 114 years old. When Bola Tinubu was born, Nigeria did not have hospital to issue birthday certificate. That was in an era when women used to deliver babies at maternity home. That was like hundred years ago. So, I write to urge Mr. Bola Tinubu to dropout of the race and to check himself into a nursing home for proper medical care,ASAP. |
"One of Nigria’s 2023 presidential hopefuls and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has reportedly left the country to rest after holding consultations with prominent Nigerians on his presidential bid, which he once described as his lifelong ambition." To all Nigerians, Don't say we did not warn you! |
Afegbua: "The former Commissioner for Information in Edo said ” Ceding the ticket to the North will mark the beginning of another round of political contestation and crisis. True. We cannot afford that luxury now. We need to call a spade, by its very name. It is better avoided than allow selfish political interest to detail the flow of discourse in terms of our political stability”. I disagree! No one is ceding the presidency to the North. Election is a contest of ideas. That means anyone who wants to contest presidential election will submit their agenda----detailing what they will do if elected. Next, the voters will decide who they want from the list of participants. That is not ceding the presidency to the north. So, vice president Atiku has every right to contest for PDP flag bearer. If he wins, he has won the contest. To me that is not ceding. It is having majority of what the voters want. |
"Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says All Progressives Congress National Leader, Bola Tinubu, is the most capable candidate to succeed the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) in May 2023." Pure lie by governor Sanwo-Olu! How many of you remember that Mr. Bola Tinubu was the governor of Lagos State from 19999-2007? Did Bola Tinubu leadership clean the famous Makoko Slum in Lagos? The short answer is no. As a governor of Lagos state for 8 years, Bola Tinubu did not clean up the Makoko Slum. Is this the direction that Nigeria wants to go in this 21st? I don't think so. Nigeria needs a leader who understands that (a) a clean work environment will result in neat workforce and improve workforce, (b) neat work environment is less exposed to employee accident, (c) a neat environment reduces stress and provides positive workforce, (d) a neat environment improves employees life. So, Bola Tinubu mishandling of Makoko slum is why he will never be the president of Nigeria.

Rotimi Amaechi cannot be trusted. In 2015 just days before leaving the office, Mr. Amaechi transferred the amount of $757 million from Rivers state bank to his personal bank at bancorp, according to a UK based media reporter, The Amanpour report. When Mr. Rotimi Amaechi was informed about the money, he immediately returned the the loot, claiming it was an act of error. Denying is what has come to define Mr. Amaechi when he gets caught in a lie. |
BigBashiru: "AU, ECOWAS and UN never condemned and sanctioned these countries for unacceptable loss of lives." Thank you BigBashiru! That is my outrage as well. |
"The army statement cited the worsening security situation and Mr Kaboré's alleged inability to unite the nation as reasons for overthrowing him, AFP news agency reports." I don't like military rule, but i agree with the rationale given by the military for overthrowing civilian elected government in Burkina Faso, 100%. The number one job of every government is safety and protection of its citizens. As cited by the military, there is clear evident of insecurity in the country of Burkina Faso---leading to loss of lives and destruction of property. The UN and OAU are now calling for restoration of civilian government in Burkina Faso, I disagree. Where were OAU and the UN when the citizens of Burkina Faso were being killed and in need of help? That is why i am in support of the Military takeover in Burkina Faso/ I wish the Nigerian military has the courage to do the same thing. Nigeria is losing too many lives of its citizens to allow President Buhari to remain in power. |
Eguavoem stepped down as national footbal coach after a loss to Tunisha! Good decision! The most important job of a football coach is the kind changes he makes in the field. Coach fEguavoem failed in that regard. I thank him for his service and hopefully, he would Find something else to do. |
Dele Momodu---- I just want to say something about him! Growing up, I used to think Dele Momodu is a good writer, but he is not. My knowledge in writing helped me to discover his writing skills. If you live in nigeria, study in Nigeria and consume what he writes, you would come across his article as fairly good. That is because you will not know the different. The differnt is Dele Momodu writes Nigerian English--which is story, story without the point. American English is global---that is what Dele Momodu does not write. |
Nigeria has lost and the blame has begun! I dey laugh! |
You wouldn't pay me to bet on Nigeria for anything! |
"South-East will not accept vice-presidential slots from any political party in the 2023 presidential race, prominent Igbo leaders have told Sunday Vanguard." Ibo in any presidential ticket is a liability, period. Buhari hired Ibo as his vice president and lost Vice president Atiku Abubakar hired Ibo as his vice president and lost Therefore, putting Ibo in any presidential ticket is a loss proposition |
"The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday met former President Olusegun Obasanjo for party matters and the forthcoming 2023 general elections." Wow! OBJ meeting with PDP leaders is a surprise! I thought he defected to PDP longtime ago. PDP party lovers and supporters, please keep your eyes on OBJ for one reason. When Mr. Bola Tinubu is picked as APC flag bear, OBJ will make a quick U-turn in support of Mr. Tinubu. OBJ and Bola Tinubu come from UPN. Both are part of western styles politicians. It is all about speaking Yoruba! |
Rotimi Amaechi to become Emir-----will bring a real disservice to Emir office. Mr. Amaechi is a professional ass kisser. Since he became minister of transportation, he has spent 100% of his time cozy up to the northern Nigerian Muslims. Former president Goodluck Jonathan did the same thing and lost his reelection bid in 2015. Can I say, thank God! |
"According to a statement signed by Dr. Makama Omeri, the Coordinator, APC-DiNET, United Kingdom, the move would be in the best interest of the party and nation." Postponing convention date in the interest of the party is not a genuine rationale to postpone a party convention. Why does APC-DiNET want the party convention date to be changed? Nigerians have PHD, but don't know how to make a case for change |
Hello Fernandewagger. You wrote: "I can see you like Mr Umana. Can you tell me what he has contributed to the development of the state as he's CEO of the oil and gas export zone? Another thing; Obong Victor Attah was not the first democratically elected governor of the state, that title goes to the late Obong Akpan Isemin. Last but not the least I disagree that prior to 1999 the state was a forest and a jungle. Although not as developed as it is today. Reminds me of a saying my Dad used to tell me; six blind men went to touch an elephant, after touching it they were asked to describe it. They six blind men described the elephant based on the parts they had individually touched, to some the elephant was a thick long rope ( for the person who touched the tail) to the others it was something else. " Wow! Mr. Umana Okon Umana has contributed immensely to the development of Akawa Ibom state. He was the commissioner for finance under Victor Attah governor administration. While there, his leadership removed thousands of ghost workers from the payroll. That allows the government of state to use money saved from ghost workers to fund other programs in the state. Mr. Umana Okon Umana also served as the secretary to Akwa Ibom state under the administration of Godwin Akpabio. There , he was the leading effort that transformed Akwa Ibom state to what we now love. And as a managing Director of oil and gas zone authority, Mr. Umana has made the agency the most profitable agency in Nigeria history. His role there has also led to the creation of good paying jobs in Akwa Ibom state. My apology for not recognizing Obong Akpan Isemin. I thank him for his service. Also, I noted in my article that Umana Okon Umana is not the only one. So, I will welcome your own choice as well. |
Why Ibibio Person Should be the Next President of Nigeria By eeetuk Even though Ibibio people make up the fourth largest tribe in Nigeria, they can win 2023 presidential election in Nigeria. Election is a contest of ideas. And that means, when different candidates promote their ideas and voters pick best one. My optimistic about an Ibibio Person chance to win 2023 presidential election if he/she gets into the contest is grounded on the following reasons: Have you ever been to Akwa Ibom State before Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999? Before 1999, Akwa Ibom State was a forest and jungle. When you enter Akwa Ibom State and hear a noise, it came from birds. Life there was miserable. You could not possibly hope for any good future residing at the state. There were few roads, but hardly fitted two cars. There was no Airport. No place to work. No football stadium with international recognition to promote the state, no five stars hotels to attract tourists. A few jobs available in the state were government jobs. That means only the lucky ones were hired. As a result, the citizens migrated to Lagos State in a large number to find work and places to live. Some have remained in Lagos for good, and many have returned home. And thank God for the emergence of Victor Attah as the first civilian elected governor of Akwa Ibom State. His good leadership shines bright lights on the skills and talents of Ibibio people. Today, Akwa Ibom State composes of nice communities of people from different parts of Nigeria, towns, and cities. The skills and talents of Ibibio people have produced the following in the state: First, Akwa Ibom state has built roads connecting all its 31 local governments---enable the citizens and residents to reconnect with their love ones, conduct local trade, move and exchange cultural events with their neighbors. If Ibibio becomes the next president of Nigeria, he/she can duplicate similar projects across Nigeria. Second, Akwa Ibom State Airport. Air travel has become a common means of transportation in Akwa Ibom state—attracting tourism unlike never seen before. Business in Akwa Ibom State is booming, thanks to Ibom Air—which now flies people across Nigeria and some African countries. If Ibibio becomes the next president of Nigeria, he/she can duplicate similar projects across Nigeria. Third, International recognized hotels and many five stars hotels are now spreading throughout Akwa Ibom. That helps to generate incomes for locals, generate employment for locals, become a chief source of foreign exchange, helps to develop infrastructure and stabilize local economy. If Ibibio becomes the next president of Nigeria, he/she can duplicate similar projects across Nigeria. Fourth, Akwa Ibom Football Stadium. Akwa Ibom State now houses one of the most respected football Stadium in Africa. This stadium has hosted games which include Nigeria vs Ghana, South Africa vs Nigeria, African cups of Nation, and many more. If Ibibio becomes the next president of Nigeria, he/she can duplicate similar projects across Nigeria. The picture below is that Umana Okon Umana. He is currently the CEO and Managing Director of Gas and Oil Zone authority in Nigeria. There are many people in Akwa Ibom State like Mr. Umana Okon Umana, but I prefer him because the wealth of experience he has both in private and public sectors in Nigeria. Nigeria only chance to become a prosperous nation is going with Ibibio person as the next President of Nigeria. Let’s go get it!

Mohammed Bello--KoKo: "What we have done is to try to bring them together and we have also improved stakeholder consultation in order to bring efficiency to the ports and we have seen that it has improved efficiency." Mohammed Bello Koko is totally unfit to be a Managing Director. I arrived at this conclusion based on the quality of answers he provided to questions been asked. You have to be in his head to understand what he is talking about. Talking rubbish, instead of addressing the issues raised by the interviewer. President Buhari made Mohammed Bello-koko managing Director based on his ethnicity and religious background! |
