Politics / Re: Presidential Ticket: How Wike May Scuttle PDP Govs’ Ghana Deal by eeetuk(m): 8:43pm On Apr 09, 2022
"After failing to reach a consensus on zoning of the ticket to the South, the states’ chief executive officers were said to have agreed that a sitting governor should emerge as the party’s candidate."

PDP state governors' ideas of zoning the presidential ticket will guarantee APC victory in 2023 presidential election. Voters should decide the winner of the presidential ticket, and not the governors. That is how you get voters inspired to come out to vote in the general election. Zoning disregards the constitution. One of the reasons Nigeria is not successful is because leaders don't believe in rule of laws. The bedrock of any successful democracy is the constitution. The 1999 constitution of Nigeria has clearly laid out step by step ways to produce the president of Nigeria. Follow that or drop out of the race. Now, each time Nigerians open their mouth, all you hear is zoning. Please, zoning has no place in democracy. Those Nigerians declaring their intention to contest in 2023 presidential election (APC or PDP) should go to their parties' primaries and summit their ideas or agenda to let the voters to decide who they want as their leader. Stop talking about zoning!

Rotomi Amaechi: "The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi today at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium Port Harcourt, venue of the Rivers APC Thanksgiving service, declares his interest to contest the 2023 Presidency of Nigeria under the platform of All Progressives Congress."

After reading Mr. Amaechi statement of his intention to run for president, I am having a dinner choke. Not one time, but many times. Mr. Amaechi has no political capital outside rivers state. Southwest is 100% for bola Tinubu. 19 northern Nigeria states are in the pocket of Atiku Abubakar. South/ South is in the pocket of PDP. And worst, terrorists just bombed a passenger train--- resulting in the death of 9 people, 100-plus injured passengers, 180 kidnapped passengers under the management of Mr. Rotomi Amaechi.

Is this the record that Mr. Amaechi wants Nigerians to make him the next president of Nigeria?
I am having a dinner choke now!

WarriFirstBorn : “Dude, Oshiomhole did not attend any higher institution but he is a very good and eloquent speaker”

WarroFirstBorn,
Thank you for letting me and this audience to know that Oshiomhole is not a university graduate—that kind of ease my concern about the low quality of education in Nigeria. In fact, his opening speech proved he is not a university graduate. He talked nonsense instead of going straight to why he is running for senate.

And I disagreed with you wholeheartedly, for saying that Mr. Oshiomhole is a good speaker. He is not in any way near a good speaker. Maybe in your standard, but not mine.

A good speaker opens up a speech with why he or she has decided to jump into the senate race. That is what the audience wants to hear. Every other thing is nonsense.

So, my advice to Mr. Oshiomhole is to hire a good speech writer to help him to shape the message about why he is running to become a Nigerian senator. A good campaign message does two things: (1) helps a candidate for election to focus on what he or she will do if elected, (2) draws a strong and clear contrast between candidates for election. That way, voters are able to choose a candidate who will represent their interest in Abuja.

Oshiomhole said he chose to celebrate his birthday with his people because he was conscious of his origin as a nobody, given birth to under a tree by his mother but destined by God to be what he is today."---Oshiimhole

A very confused message about why you are running for a political office!
I am talking about a former labor leader,a former state governor for 8 years, a former chairman of a major political party not able to Make an inspiring speech to open up his campaign for senate job.

Why is Mr oshiomhole running to become a nigerian senator?
His opening speech should begin with why he is running for senate and didn't.
I am so shame of why Nigerians leaders cannot communicate effectively.
Politics / Re: Sheikh Khalid Suspended For Criticising Buhari Over Kaduna Train Bombing by eeetuk(m): 1:17am On Apr 03, 2022
"The chief Imam of Apo Juma’at Mosque in Abuja, Sheikh Nuru Khalid, has been suspended by the mosque’s steering committee for criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari over Kaduna train bombing."

Nigeria claimed of being democratic state is a lie. One of the key tenets of democracy is freedom of speech and freedom of citizens to express opinion on issues they care about. Free speech and expression of opinion do not exist in Nigeria. Section 39 of the 1999 constitution of Nigeria states: " (1) Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference."

Yet, when Chief Imam of Apo Juma'at Mosque in Abuja, Sheikh Nuru Khalid expressed his opinion on the mishandling of the railway service, he got suspended. In the United States and other western democratic countries, no institution will be allowed to suspend their citizens for expressing their opinion on mishandling of railway service--like the one taking place in Nigeria.
None!

So, in my view, the suspension of Sheikh Nuru Khalid for outlining the evilness--which president Mohammadu Buhari represents shows that Nigeria is not a democratic state. Nigeria system of government is a sham. Citizens are not allowed to express their opinions on the mismanagement of the country. And you call that democracy?
That is sad!

We need to start to give locals a chance to learn from their mistkakes or we are not going to build a successful country.

"Alhassan Ado Doguwa, majority leader of the house of representatives, says Nigerians should be allowed to take up arms and defend themselves against terrorist attacks. The All Progressives Congress (APC) member from Kano state spoke during the plenary session on Thursday."

Nonsense argument!
Citizens should be allowed to carry arms to defend themselves is a useless argument. God forbid this kind of law does not see the light of the day. Black people cannot control themselves with guns. As a result, no one will be saved. So, what the lawmakers should Be advocating for to solve these reckless killings is asking the military to take over the federal government. However, States government should remain in the hands of civillian regimes. That is because when nigeria used to be run by the military, loss of lives like what are witnessing today was unheard of. "On one occasion, I asked a female candidate what her husband does."

Dear Bayo Adeyinkia,
You over stepped your bound by asking the interviewee a real personal question. That to me is condescending question on your part. An interview is built to assess whether a candidate for the job has necessary skills to do the job. Instead of you to ask questions to assess her skills , you went into her private life. That to me is wrong.

So, the personal question you asked the interviewee above makes her uncomfortable and forgetful about her preparations for the interview. i understand the job market in Nigeria is tight, but you really put that young lady through hell.

In my view, you as an interviewer is the problem and not the interviewee. Were you trying to date the young lady by asking her the above question? Please next time, stop making an interviewee to feel very uncomfortable. If you don't want to hire someone, leave him or her alone. Okay?

Why?
Education allows you to make good decision. Education allows you to recruit skilled personnel to do the job. You are 100% correct!
You cannot have the president of a country without education and expect something good to come out of him. Never! Education of our leaders matter. Research shows that people who graduated from college or University are more likely to succeed than those who did not. So, if president Buhari was educated, he would never have appointed someone like Mr. Amaechi into his cabinet. That is why Buhari has failed Nigeria .

"ABUJA – The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi on Tuesday lamented the delayed approval for the procurement of technology worth N3 billion that can detect human activities or foreign activities on all the railway tracks across the country.

Amaechi, spoke during the on the ground assessment of the attack on train Monday night, stating that about 8 persons feared dead on the Abuja-Kaduna train bomb blast on Monday night, adding they are yet to account for the number of people that were kidnapped on the train.

He disclosed that 398 passengers were on the train and the Nigerian Railway Cooperation is still trying to make contact with the passengers on the manifest even though there are staffs of the NRC and security officials that are not on the manifest."

Bad leadership is ruining Nigeria. When Rotomi Amaechi was appointed in 2015 as minister of transportation, he jumped into railroad transportation without doing feasibility study. A feasibility study assesses the practicality of the proposed plan or project. That is where the need to have camera in and outside the train would have been discovered before train transportation went into effect. Now, Mr. Amaechi is blaming government for not giving him money to buy necessary equipment. Shame on Mr. Amaechi. I write to argue that transportation minister is the culprit in the train bombing accident. You cannot buy a car before you get a driver license. That is what Mr. Amaechi did--buy a car without a driver license. And as a result, many Nigerians had died and many more on injury list. I call for Mr. Rotomi Amaechi resignation, ASAP. He let Nigeria down!

Nigeria missing out of Qatar 2022 should bring sigh of relief to all Nigerians. "The accused was said to have taken to his Facebook page and other social media platforms to abuse the governor. "

Very laughable action by the court to remand someone in prison before trial.
Only in Nigeria can a government gets away with this kind of illegal detention.
Where is the evidence?
Publishing of false information is not regarded as a criminal offense. And in fact, if any, it is a civil lawsuit. A conviction in a civil lawsuit only required monetary damages, and not prison term. Here you have an accused not yet tried and found guilty, already thrown into jail. Oppression defined Nigeria judicial system.

Godwin Akpabio did this during his reign of terroir for 8 damn years. And now, Udo Emmanuel is picking up where his master left off.

Oh, my God, this must not stand.
Finally, i am calling on the Akwa Ibom State court and government to release Mr. Idongest Idiok for lack of merit in this court action. No one should go to prison before trial.

"More than two dozen girls and women stage protests in front of the Ministry of Education against the Taliban’s decision to shut schools."

No surprise here to know that Taliban in Afghanistan will shut down women schools soon after US military pull out of the country, but what is surprising, the Afghan government has promised to reopen schools for women in future. Muslim religion does not like women to go to school. They think women are supposed to sit at home, bake chicken, be ready to have sex on demand and cook meal for men. Look, every religion has evils, but Islam is the worst of all religion. What is the reasoning for banning women from going to school? That is evil at the highest level. So, i think foreign governments which have diplomatic ties to Afghan government are those contributing to the harm done to Afghan women---not allowed to go to schools. I call on all governments around the world to withdraw their supports to Afghan government until all women are allowed to return to schools, ASAP.

Terrible idea to invite the president of Nigeria to commission projects executed by the state governor. Is governor Umahi or president Buhari getting credit for the execution of those projects? I have been saying for years that Nigerian politicians don't read the constitution before or after taking office. In the 1999 constitution of Nigeria, federal government have responsibilities. And so are the states governments. President Buhari should commission federal projects and governor Umahi should also commission Ebony state projects. So, Gov. Umahi invitation to president Buhari to come to Ebony state to commission projects executed by Ebony state shows Mr. Umahi is ignorance of the Nigerian constitution in which he was sworn in to uphold. In a constitutional democracy, the president does not commission states projects, the governor of the state does. That is why I am calling for governor Umahi resignation, ASAP.

13 PDP governors meet in Abia after Atiku Abubakar presidential declaration.

Scared tactic, it will not work.
Politics / Re: Atiku Declares To Run For President by eeetuk(m): 3:51pm On Mar 23, 2022
"Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has declared his intention to run for the office of Nigeria president."

Atiku Abubakar candidacy puts PDP in a very good position to win back the president. He is more formidable candidate than those who had already declared so far. He was the former vice president for 8 under OBJ administration. In the eyes of millions of Nigerians, it was widely believed that Mr. Atiku Abubakar won 2019 president but got cheated out because Mohammad Buhari was the incumbent. Besides, Atiku Abubakar is highly experienced. He speaks well. He knows what he wants to do if he wins the presidency. And given a chance, he would correct past mistakes he made as a vice president and really work hard to make Nigeria a better country than what we have in Abuja today.

In a speech reported by Daily trust titled “Says Losing 2023 Election Might Lead to Death Of PDP” Atiku Abubakar said." Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has warned members of the Board of Trustees of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the party might not survive another eight years as an opposition party.”

In my view, Mr. Abubakar was right and I agreed with him 100% for many reasons. First, in fighting within PDP almost brought the party to a standstill. Second, before Atiku declared his candidate today, there was no clear front runner for PDP. And third, PDP was not going to survive if it were to lose 2023 presidential election.

Furthermore, I prefer Atiku Abubakar to Bola Tinubu for many reasons. Bola Tinuba is a strong advocate for free education as introduced under Chief Awolowo and the UPN. I believe in free education for all Nigerians, but not the kind introduced by Awolowo in the 60s because many Yorubas who graduated under Awolowo later worked as letter writers and office clerks. Nigeria needs engineers, IT specialists, good and well-trained teachers, building construction experts, road construction experts, and more. That is what you would get under Atiku Abubakar. Second, Atiku Abubakar administration will hire Nigerians of all tribes and not just ibos, Yorubas and Hausas. Third, Atiku Abubakar will not park the court, the police, and the military with one tribe as we have seen under Buhari administration.

Lastly, with Atiku Abubakar entry into 2023 Presidential race, the hope that Nigeria will begin good governing is back and I alive. Thank God.

God bless judge Taiwo because he is interpreting and applying the law as it should be instead of legislating from the bench. What judge Taiwo ruling means is giving lights to democracy to prosper and work in Nigeria. What most nigerians have observed over the years is that when Lawmakers and governors get into office, they don't believe voters sent them there. They don't fix roads, they don't survey the public to find out what they want, they don't initiate programs to help citizens to get out of poverty and they continue to fill their pockets and those of their cronies with government money. Now, if all Judges follow judge Taiwa leadership, citizens can expect elected members of their communities to work for them because they will know, if not, they will not be going back to their office again. That is how democracy in the western countries has helped to develop economies for the locals.

So, on March 25, 2022 I will be waiting for Judge Taiwo to delive undivided messages to all politicians in Nigeria to get their act straight

"In what appeared a repudiation of the zoning arrangement, Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has told the leadership and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to choose between zoning of its presidential ticket and winning the election"

I am against zoning , but arguing that the presidency will be won based on a candidate geopolitical location is outright tribalism. I think Governor Tambuwal as of today disqualified himself for injecting tribalism into Nigerian politics. And I think a person character and integrity should be at the forefront of who becomes next president of Nigeria in 2023 presidential.

What Nigerian people need now is someone who can help Nigeria to succeed, not which tribe or geopolitical location the person comes from.

Nigeria is a failed state because its past leaders have often been chosen based on tribe or geopolitical zone. Since it has not worked, we need to change course to new direction. And I don't think Governor Tambuwal represents the new direction Nigeria needs today or tomorrow.

I think South South geopolitical zone houses better qualified candidates than entire Northern Nigeria geopolitical zones. For an example, Goodluck Jonathan presidency was far better than Mohammad Buhari and OBJ administrations. Under president Obasanjo and Buhari , unemployment rates have become epidemic, terrorism has prospered, 15 millions have been driven out of their homes, kidnapping and Bantry have become uncontrollable. Furthermore, under Buhari and Obasanjo administrations hunger and poverty have overtaken Nigeria, murder rates have skyrocketed and migration of Nigerians to other countries have gone through the roof. That never happened under Goodluck Jonathan administration.

So, choosing someone from southeast, southwest or Northern Nigeria is a continuation to failed state.

Is failed state the right path for Nigeria in 2023?

"The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday night arrested the former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos."

Nigerian state governors are thieves! And efcc makes arrest of Willie Obiano a laughing matter as well.
Millions of Nigerians have been waiting for the arrest of Gov. Willie Obiano over his mishandling Anambra state affairs, and today's arrest should not come as a surprise. In 1999 the population of Southeast was between 10-12 million people. Today the population of Southeast stands at 5 million people. So, What caused the rapid declined in the Southeast population ? State governor such as Mr. Willie Obiano wrong policy--which focuses on import, instead of building roads, investing in public transport and banning imports to southeast drives Ibos to migrate out of the zone to places like Lagos and Abuja. That should not have happened. But it did.

However, I am not happy for today's arrest because efcc lacks integrity to get a conviction in the court. One good example against efcc is poor handling of corruption case against the former governor of Delta--Chief James Ibori. In December 7, 2007 efcc arrested chief James Ibori on charges of corruptions-resulting in money laundering. Governor Ibori was charged with 17 counts of money laundering by efcc, but failed to get a conviction in any of the 17 charges. That is the real efcc many Nigerians do not know about.

So, if efcc could not convict James Ibori, what makes you think, they are going to convict Willie Obiano?
Guys, I cannot stop laughing !
