The significance of people listed in drug arrest in Nigeria is they often come from two tribes: Ibo and Yoruba. And most importantly, they claim hard work as the reason for their success. Here we are, whenever drug arrests or other criminal activities are brought to light, Ibos and the Yorubas make up the list.

I write to ask for the division of Nigeria into 36 countries. That way, good guys do not associate themselves with all these criminals from Ibos and Yorubas.

The southern Nigerians are too arrogance and that makes northern politicians more acceptable. For example, reports coming out Of Nigeria are that both Rotomi Amaechi and Godswill Akpabio are diverting money in their respective ministries to build northern Nigeria. As a southern Nigerian, I will never cast vote for any of these two guys. That is why the northern Nigerian politicians are certain to retain the presidency of Nigeria in 2023. The northern Nigerian politicians act inclusive and the southern politicians act exclusive in matters that affect the lives citizens. Don't vote for a southern candidate!

So and earlier this year, I predicted former vice Atiku Abubakar to become president of Nigeria if he gets PDP ticket to represent the party. Today, I stand by my prediction. I don't want a southern president because when they get into the office, they cozy up to the north at the expense of the south. Its all come down to the feeling of inferiority by the southerners.

And third, by trying to intervene in local issues, Mr. Tinubu has exposed what kind of president he would be should he gets elected. Bottom line is Mr. Should stop this senseless behavior, ASAP.

But candidates for elected offices in Nigeria are not talking about these issues. Instead, they are talking about themselves. That is why Ms Ohanenye entry into 2023 presidential race is important because it would force other candidates in the race to talk about what matters most to the Nigerian people.

Notice that Mr. Tinubu only talked about what the Nigerian workers have achieved, but missing in the speech is what Mr. Tinubu will do to Nigerian labor if elected as the president. He never proposed wage increase for Nigerian workers if elected. He never proposed good healthcare for workers. He never proposed tuition free for Nigerian workers and their children. He never proposed safe and secured work environment for Nigerian workers. Missing these kinds of proposals speaks to (a) the poor leadership Mr. TInubu will provide if elected, (b) Mr. Tinubu lack of sensitivity to Nigerian workers health issues, (c) lack of acknowledgement that Nigerian workers work too many hours with little pay check.

And thank God, i am not living in Nigeria because i will never cast my dear vote for a candidate like Mr. Tinubu. Bottom line is Mr. Tinubu lacks good judgement to be president of Nigeria.

No More Goodluck Jonathan Presidency Again

Reports from social platforms and other media outlets suggest the ruling party, APC in Nigeria is aggressively working hard to recruit former president Goodluck Jonathan to be its party flagbearer in 2023 presidential election. If these reports turn out to be true, the return of Goodluck Jonathan to run for 2023 president election will be overwhelmingly rejected by Nigerian voters for many reasons.

First, President Goodluck Jonathan six years in office was a disaster for Nigeria and Nigerians. His presidency of 2009-2015 caused Boko Haran terrorist group to expand its territory of operations, increase rising Kidnapping activities and banditry industry in Nigeria. And till day, Nigeria has been unable to undo the bad things President did while in office.

In BBC article titled “Nigeria’s Goodluck Jonathan: Officials back Boko Haram” January 8, 2012, President Jonathan was asked on the worsening security situations in Nigeria and here is what he said about people involved in the insecurity “some of them are in the executive arm of government, some of them are in the parliamentary/legislative arm of government, while some of them are even in the judiciary". "Some are also in the armed forces, the police and other security agencies.".


It is obvious from the above statement by president Goodluck Jonathan, he did not have control of his government. He was not protecting the lives of Nigerians. And when he found out that members of his cabinet were supporting Boko Haram, he could not get rid of them.

Is that the kind of person you want as the next president of Nigeria in 2023?
No, I do not think so!

Second, who will ever forget President Goodluck Jonathan disastrous support for Israel to deny Palestine right to independence in 2014 at the UN? On December 30, 2014, the Nigerian government under the leadership of President Jonathan cast a key vote at the UN to deny the oppressed people of Palestine the right to gain independence from the most oppressive regime in the world—the Israeli government. Following the Nigerian government vote in the UN to deny Palestine rights to become an independence nation, President of Obama of the United States visited many African countries without going to Nigeria. The rise of hates against Nigerian people around the world really picked up in the era of Goodluck Jonathan presidency. Before Goodluck Jonathan became president of Nigeria in 2009, Nigerians were welcome in many countries. Now, Nigerians are target of violence crimes around the world.

And consider this, President Jonathan Goodluck is from one of the most oppressed tribe in Nigeria—Ijaw.

When you talk about the history of Ijaw people, you cannot forget Kenule Beeson Ken Sara Wiwa. In November 10, 1995, Ken Sara wiwa was hang to dead by then, Nigeria military ruler, Abacha for objecting to resources of his people been controlled by the federal government of Nigeria. So, for President Goodluck Jonathan to overlook the suffering of Ijaw people and to turn around to support another oppressive regime like Israeli government, in my view, really destroyed all the good things Nigeria has stood for generations. By allowing other countries to use him to destroy what Nigeria stands for, I think, truly disqualified Goodluck Jonathan from holding any public office in Nigeria.

Third, President Jonathan presidency misused of government money to try to win his 2015 reelection was a setback to development in Nigeria. International Business Times in April 4, 2015 issue, quoted President Jonathan as denying spending $10 billion to win votes, but Punch newspaper of Nigeria said President was not happy about the outcome of the election results. And as a result, President Jonathan set up a committee after he lost his re-election bid to audit how the $10 Billion budgeted for President Jonathan re-election was spent. In many public statements, President Jonathan has denied spending $10 billion to win votes---leaving people to question why he set up a committee to audit how the money was spent.

If president Jonathan did not use $10 billion from Nigeria treasury to try to win his re-election in 2015, why did he set up a committee to audit how the $10 billion was spent?

Fourth, President Jonathan mishandling of Chibok girls kidnapping case raised many questions about Jonathan administration leadership skills. In 2014 over 270 school girls were kidnapped in Chibok, Borno state by militant Islamist—Boko Haram. According to Nigerian and western media reports, when President Goodluck Jonathan was first notified of the adoption, he played down the important of the kidnapping and even doubted the report. Then, his advisers claimed it was an attempt to make the president to look bad. That was not true. Every leader of a country faces many crises and as such, every leader has to be ready to address the problem from the get go. President Jonathan did not. Instead, President Jonathan only got involved in the released of Chibok girls after the world got involved. That is not a leader Nigeria is looking for today.

Finally, wasting another four years with a failed leader will set Nigeria economic development many years back. That is what will happen if former president, Goodluck Jonathan is allowed to return to power. For that, I say no more Goodluck Jonathan presidency again.

That is outright nonsense . A former state governor and current senator is unable to make a case for Southeast to produce the next president of Nigeria is really a shame. Election is a contest of ideas and that means, all candidates bring out their ideas and voters pick the best idea. I don't believe Mr. Kalu understands that aspect of the democracy. And until he does, Southeast is not going to be able produce the next president of Nigeria

That is the kind of story Udom Emmanuel PAs boys should be talking about and they don't.

Bad idea!
Adopting such an idea would exclude many states and majority of Nigerians from having their voice heard in the running of the country. But I would accept part time lawmakers because full time legislators is too expensive and it is draining the country resources. Furthermore, it is not so much about the system of government. The problem is Nigerian lawmakers came into the system to steal money and not to make lives better for the average Nigerians. That is why I will support any idea to get rid of them.

Good luck MS. Martha Agba, but i think you should have chosen PDP over APC to run for that seat. PDP party is going to return to power in 2023 for many reasons. First, PDP has been in power in cross river state for over 20 years and that means it has machine in place to stay in power. Second, given how Gov. Ayade defected to APC and his erratic behavior thereafter, he would not be able to power APC beyond May 2023. Third, Gov. Ayade has made too many enemies since he became state governor in 2015 and that will hurt chances of Ayade's supporters in 2023 elections.

I am from the south/south geopolitical zone, and i have never met someone who moved from south/South states to Southeast state to live or transact business. The display of arrogance by the citizens of Southeast towards people from other tribes is terrifying. The Ibos in the southeast look down on others as if they are too good, but they are not. Since 1999, 75% of southeast citizens have immigrated to other part of Nigeria because of their negative attitude towards people from other tribes. They are intolerable of other people ideas and opinions. That is why southeast is infected with crimes of unimageable proportion.

So, if vice president Osinbayo can make a speech to show he is a follower of Awolowo and that his election will continue where Chief Awolowo did not finish, it will inspire young and old yorubas to come to the polls to support his candidacy.

Impact of vice president Osinbayo entry into 2023 presidential race in Nigeria is beginning to take tolls on Mr. Tinubu presidential camp. Signs of those tolls are every where. Names calling is one sign. Claimed of betray is the second sign. Violence campaigns in the southwest, come next coming days will be the third and the final sign. Where is Chief Obafemi Awolowo grave yard?

If vice president Osinbayo wants APC presidential ticket, my advice to him is he should visit Chief Awolowo grave yard first before APC party primaries begin. That will divide Mr. Tinubu camp and throw supports of Southwest states in vice president Osinbayo favor.

Gov.wike just became my friend for supporting votes based on equity, justice and fairness. That is what I support.
Nigerian politicians, and especially those from the southern Nigeria have often called for zoning over free and fair election. I think southern Nigerians will benefit most if election is free and fair than zoning. One of the reasons the people in the south have hard time producing the president of Nigeria is because Nigeria election has never been free and fair. In 2015--2019, children below 18 years of age voted in northern Nigeria. That is how Mr. Mohammadu Buhari got elected twice. And the southern politicians never complained about teenage voting in the North. As the result, southern politicians have reduced themselves to inferior group by begging North to zone election. Zone elections?

No!
Zoning is unconstitutional. Zoning is undemocractic, period. What is going to make southern Nigerians to win elections in Nigeria is free and fair elections at all levels. Free and fair election means all votes cast by the voters are accurately counted and credited to proper candidates. No back room deals.

So, I hope other candidates for elected office in Nigeria will join Gov. Wike to call for free and fair elections. That way, majority of Nigerians will begin to gain confidence in their electoral systems.

The 1999 constitution of Nigeria is the law of the land. All political appointees must resign 30days before election--in which they will be beneficial. No court should entertain objection to this constitutional provision, period. The reason nothing works in Nigeria is Nigerians always want to change the goal post in the middle of the game to favor them. I cannot wait until president Buhari leaves office before he destroys everything.

If you want to know what Rotomi Amaechi represents, take a look at this picture--showing University of Daura in president Buhari home state of Kastina. In the mind of Mr. Amaechi, building this University would buy him the office of the presidency. No, it will not. Mark my word, Rotomi Amaechi will never be the president of Nigeria. The presidency of Nigeria is the choice of Nigerian voters. Therefore, the Influence of President Buhari will not determine who will become the Nigerian president in 2023.

They should be calling for return to military rule in Nigeria. That is the right thing and the best solution, but they would never say so because Fulanis and Hausas are still in power. Wait until the southerner gets power back, all these ex-retired generals will be on the record calling for the return to military rule. I am so ashamed of them on their hypocritical comments.

i am really in favor of Nigeria returning to military rule for many reasons. First, when military was in power in Nigeria, banditry and kidnapping were never heard of. Second, military is an expert in protection and security of the country and its citizens---something Nigerians are missing in civilian rule. And third, military regime do not take prisoner, they simply kill criminals at their locations.
