TravelRe: Beautiful Pictures Of Akwa Ibom At Night by eeetuk(m):
Brexxit(m):

We celebrate mediocrity in this country too much.

The amount of money Akwa ibom state has received for the past 8 years is enough to turn it to a world class standard like Dubai.

The Governors of Akwa ibom are thieves, especially akpabio
.

I agree 100%!
In 2007 to 2011, Akpabio received from the federal government of Nigeria N260billion. At that time, US dollar per Naira was $0.75.
He used that money to award fraudulent contracts to his friends and turned in no projects at the end. That kind of misused of money prompted former minister for finance, Mrs. Ngozi Iweala to denounce and to call out Akpabio for his reckless behavior. Then, in 2015, Akpabio received from federal revenue allocation N300 billion and used it to finance President Goodluck Jonathan re-election campaigns on the promise that if President Jonathan won his re-election, he would create Ita state out of the current Akwa Ibom State for Akpabio. And thank God, President Jonathan lost his re-election.

So, to your point, the money Akwa Ibom State government has received over the past 16 years could have built the state places you find in US and Dubai. But it has not because the state government is run by criminals and organized crimes network.

Good news for Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram. I can see them rejoice now because they love to inflict pains on people. And it is also a good news for Ipod in the southeast. Essentially, those in business of import. They call themselves Jewish or profiteers.

Which country is going to be the first to order this dangerous military hardware? I bet you Nigeria tops the list of first buyers. That is because Nigeria doesn't buy ideas to improve people lives, but ideas to destroy people lives.
Useless nation

You right and I agree. When politicians eat Amala and Ewedu, they say anything to buy home crowds support.
But lets go back to 2007 when Mohammed Buhari picked Obi as is running mate, did Buhari win that election?
The short answer is no. So, Gbajabiamila prediction of APC victory in Ebony state is only a prediction. I predict that APC will not win Ebony State unless an Ibo person is included in APC presidential ticket.
Oh, and by the way, people of Ebony state have been on the record many times to argue that they are not Ibos. Have they changed their minds now?

The people of southeast don't like someone to challenge them for putting out false information. They want people to agree with them 100% of the times. No, that is not me.

Can you imagine Ohanaeze Obiozor----chairman of Ndigbo cultural groups falsely claiming that only Ibo can rebuild North? That is real insult. What is Mr. Obiozor relying on? I don't see anything in southeast that can be used to rebuild North or any part of Nigeria, none.

That kind of lie got me real upset!

Can the Northern Nigerian People Give Igbo 2023 Presidency?
By eeetuk

Ibo leaders’ frequent trips to the Northern states of Nigeria to beg the residents of the region to give them 2023 presidency is sickened and unprecedented for two reasons. First, it is unconstitutional. They should know that by now. The Nigerian government is democracy----a system of government in which people choose their president by voting, not monarchy. Second, Northern Nigeria does not hold monopoly to decide who should be president of Nigeria. However, and just because Northern Nigeria consists of 19 states and South 17, should not decide who controls the presidency of Nigeria. In democracy, winning the presidency is winning the hearts and minds of voters, not buying them.

And Nigerians who choose to vote in favor of candidates from the North for presidency over their southern counterparts do so because they see Northern Nigerians as people who are more likely to share power, and not keep it to themselves as most southern leaders would do.

That said, but I want to talk about reports on what Ibos leaders are saying about producing 2023 presidency of Nigeria. And I begin here by citing statements made by Ibo leaders:
Former governor of Anambra state, Chukwuemeka Ezeife has in many occasions said that the South-East is prepared to kneel or bow before every ethnic group to clinch the 2023 presidency, Sahara Reporters, December 5, 2021. That is sickening and a complete taboo. I find it difficult to believe that Ibos who participated in writing the 1999 constitution of Nigeria will go this low. Kneeling down to beg Northern Nigerian states to make an Ibo person the president of Nigeria is not attainable. I thought Ibos ’culture forbid people from kneeling down to beg. So, I now know I was wrong. This is laughable in my view. Can you imagine what will happen if Ibibios, Yorubas, Hausas, Ijaw, Edo and other ethnic groups in Nigeria were promoting their ambitions in this manner and what Ibos will say in their reactions? They will raise hell.

And just a few days ago, the chairman of Ndigbo cultural group, Chief Ohanaeze Obiozo made a similar blunder by saying this “there is no other tribe that will rebuild the North except Igbo, as there is no other tribe with a huge population, investments and had contributed in the past for the progress and development of the North except the Igbo.” -TheSouthernexaminer—an online website reported (12/08/2021.}
who is Ohanaeze Obiozor talking to or deceiving?

Southeast geopolitical zone does not have any successful business model to rebuild southeast or Northern Nigeria or any part of Nigeria. None, Period. Ohanaeze Obiozor is a liar and idiot. And for him to claim that no other tribe will rebuild north except Ibo is a low blow to the people of the Northern Nigeria. What measurement is Ohanaeze Obiozor using to reach this outrageous conclusion?

So, I urge the people of Northern Nigeria to send a letter to Ohanaeze Obiozor to warn him about the consequence of his utterances and insults to their region.
Oh, my God. I am shaking my head in outrage.
Mr. Obiozor is living in an alternative Universe. The southeast geopolitical zone is a slum. Southeast is not even developed and they are talking about rebuilding the Northern states of Nigeria. What successful development in Southeast is Mr. Obiozor relying on? Renting shops in slums neighborhoods to sell outdated and imported items from abroad? Please don’t get me started.
No part of the southeastern states can be used as a model to develop Nigeria—going forward. And here why.

The past 20 years in Southeast has witnessed a sharp declined in the population. Beginning from 1999, the population of entire Southeastern geopolitical zone was estimated at 12 million. Today, the population of Southeast geopolitical zone is between 4 to 5 million people—amazing decline.

What caused the population of the Southeastern geopolitical zone to decline so rapidly?
The decline in the population of the Southeast geopolitical zone is caused by two things: first is lack of innovative ideas by Ibos to attract investments—which could generate jobs growth and keep local residents to live in the zone. Southeast geopolitical zone has the worst infrastructures development when you compare them to other part of Nigeria. Roads are in terrible state. Bridges don’t exist. Rising flood water has destroyed farmland all over southeast. Fishing industries have ceased to exist---leading to the largest migration of Ibos to other parts of Nigeria to look for jobs and places to live.

Authors David autor, David Dorn & Gordon H. Hanson (2012) have written articles on the effects of import on local economy. In their recent article on local labor market, they stated that import from countries with high wage can drastically reduce wage and employment in countries where the imported items are sold, Krugman 2000. This is significant because it proved why imports are jobs killers and has led to dwindling population in southeast geopolitical zone.

Why Nigeria Next President Cannot Come from Southeast.
Nigeria next president in 2023 cannot come from southeast for many reasons. First, southeast is the worst developed geopolitical zone in Nigeria---not providing any road map for developing Nigeria. Second, States in the southeast have no good roads, and the few that exist are in terrible state. This is significant because Nigerians need a president who will build roads and bridges throughout the country to connect Nigerians together and develop economy that works for everyone. Third, citizens of southeast are unfriendly with people outside their tribe—reason why Nigerians don’t want to invest in the zone and why many Ibos have migrated outside the zone. Fourth, a southeast president will promote policy that favors minority exclusion in federal hiring, resources distribution, and development of infrastructures throughout Nigeria. Fifth, a southeast president will engage in unconstitutional laws—which would allow military to take over power again. Sixth, a southeast president will park courts with Ibos—promoting bias ruling in issues affecting individual liberty and more. Seven and lastly, a southeast president will flood Nigeria markets with imported goods—paving way for Nigeria economy to collapse within days of taking office.

Ibos don’t know how to develop their neighborhoods to attract outside investments. You never hear Ibo leaders call for the building of roads, bridges and highways to connect all the 36 states in Nigeria. All southeast citizens care is renting shops in slums neighborhoods and stocking them up with imported items---leading to breeding rooms for all sorts of crimes and decline in jobs opportunities.

The residents of the southeast relied 100% on imported goods to sell. Import is job killer. Every time you spend $1 to import stuff from overseas, you kill between 50 to 100 local jobs. We have seen the effects of this by the number of Ibos who have flee from the southeast zone to Lagos, Abuja and other parts of Nigeria.

The second reason for the decline in the population of Southeast is corruption by the governors of the Southeast geopolitical zone. Since 1999 when Nigeria transited from military rule to civilian government, many southeast politicians, and especially the state governors had amazed wealth to into private pockets for personal use.

Nigerian newspapers---especially the premium Times has reported that the former governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha was arrested and questioned for corruptions by efcc. And in recent article published in Nairaland, Mr. Okorocha has promised to build school in Katsina state. Where did Mr. Okorocha get his money from?
Is this why Igbo should be president of Nigeria in 2023?

Orji Uzor Kalu is the former governor of Abia state. He was found guilty of stealing over N7.65 billion and sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, PRNigeria website reported. Is this the kind of person from Southeast geopolitical zone that should be president of Nigeria?

So, for the purpose of this conversation, I want to introduce Ibos to how the president of Nigeria is produced---in hope they will stop begging Northern Nigerians to give them the presidency. The 1999 constitution of Nigeria states as follows on the process for electing the president of Nigeria:

How the president of Nigeria is produced
134. (1) A candidate for an election to the office of President shall be deemed to have been duly elected, where,
there being only two candidates for the election -

that where there are more than one candidate with majority of votes in the highest number of States, the candidate

"At least, two people were reportedly killed and property worth millions of naira destroyed when gunmen invaded Etekwuru autonomous community in the Ohaji/ Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State."

Two people reportedly killed and property worth millions of Naira destroyed is another of many confirmations that Nigeria is a failed state and unsafe to live. A failed state is one in which the central government is unable to control the country---thereby allowing different factions to emerge to try to take control.

Isn't that what is going on in Imo state and other part of Nigeria?

So, what is the next solution aimed at getting Nigeria under control again?
I will argue here that if Nigerians want their country back, all Christians and the Southern states should send a powerful a delegation to the United Nations to argue that President Buhari must step down, ASAP. President Buhari support for Islamic State and Boko Haram has fueled violence crimes across Nigeria. The bombing in Abuja---leading to the deaths of several people, the kidnapped of school children's and chiefs in Christians northern Nigeria neighborhoods and the refusal by President Buhari to recognize bandits as terrorists are tied to President Buhari poor leadership. President Buhari must resign, ASAP

Look at the picture below featuring a group of men---wearing agbadas and slippers . Who invited them to coconut refinery production ceremony ? There are a big disgrace to all the people of Akwa Ibom State for appearing on a big occasion with slippers. Their appearance looked primitive---setting the state of development in Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State back many years from now. When civilized people looked at that picture and see people dressed in slippers, their take away is Akwa Ibom State is not developed . That kills any kind of interest in people--who may be interested in doing business in Akwa Ibom State. Please next time, ban anyone wearing slippers to public event. Slippers belong to your private bedroom, not public ceremonies.

Oh, they are from Northern Nigeria---a view widely held by many that people in Northern part of Nigeria are uncivilized.

Femi Adesina:“A few survive the misadventure, while the larger number perish in the famished bowels of the Desert, or the watery enclave of the Sea. But why should our youths stay at home? Minister Dare unfurled the reasons.”

Give Buhari administration credit for acknowledging the dangers many Nigerians have faced migrating abroad. Iwoud have been much happier if Mr. Adesina has put out the alarming stats—to show the number of Nigerians dying in dangerous seas and deserts after fleeing Nigeria to seek greener pasture abroad. Since Mr. Adesina has missed these important facts in his press release, let me present here what Nigerians have gone through:
 27,000 Nigerians died in 2017 off the coast of Libyan fleeing Nigeria in an effort to seek greener pastures overseas, The Guardian news reported
 10, 000 Nigerians died in Mediterranean seas, Punchng, 2017 reported
 52 Nigerians died during deserting crossing in June 26, 2017, BBC news report
 There are thousands of stories like this reported and unreported.

So, for the Buhari administration to have acknowledged the dangers thousands Nigerians have gone through each day like hunger, starving and to budget only N5.2b to address the issues shows how unconcern the government is about in solving the problems Nigerians are facing each and every day.
Shame on Buhari government!

I agree!
When I called President Buhari an illiterate, Speaker Nabba speech above confirmed I was right. An illiterate does not seek opinion from other people. An illiterate person always assumes what he or she does is right. An illiterate person does not listen. An illiterate person only thinks of their self-first and others last. An illiterate person does not seek ideas from others. So, all these called into questions President Buhari leadership skills in managing Nigeria for many reasons. First, president Buhari did not seek consensus on disseminations of cattle rearing in Nigeria—causing thousands of citizens to die. Second, President Buhari filled government jobs with jihadists who like President Buhari, have no education or job training in the fields---resulting in the collapse of economy. Third, president Buhari does not understand team work to get things done. That is why Nigeria cannot solve kidnapping, terrorism and bandits going on in Nigeria.

So, today, I am calling for the immediate resignation of President Buharis to pave way for a knowledgeable person to get the country on the right path to success. If president Buhari loves Nigeria, he will heal this advice.

Will President Buahri resign?
