Nice to see a lady with this mindset. A lot of people, gender notwithstanding, believe that one can't do without sex. That's a notion I find very untrue, maybe because I fit hold body small.

Truth is, if people learn to control their sexual urges, we have successfully solved 80% of world's problems. Sadly, quite a very high percentage of human population just can't
Sex is natural, no matter how discipline you are, there will always be this urge to make out.

Accept this reality.

You don't understand how international politics works in this age... Take away the excruciating sanctions that will come from the west and her controlled agencies like the UN and EU, it will be our only chance to survive. You talk about education, where will you get the funds to stabilize education in say French West Africa, when France is determined to impose bad leaders and loot every resource thereafter? Libya is doing good with the exemplary educational structure set up by Gaddafi? See what western overbearing influence has done to Zimbabwe and cotedvoir?? Take away the sanctions imposed on them, both north Korea and iran will be far ahead when compared with 90% of African states..., and that is because their security desposition keeps everybody at alms length, giving their leaders enough breathing space to at least make decisions that favour their countries and not to dance to the whims and caprices of some insatiable imperialists. Africa needs a ruthless nuclear power.
Nice submission chief, I got your point, but without good education and solid technological foundation you can not develop a nuclear weapon, you can't not skip the need to invest heavily in education, research and tech and expect to develop a nuclear weapon the next day.

Looking at the top 20 nations with Nuclear technology, you find no single African nation, the only African country that is even close is Egypt. Talking about Libya, While Gaddafi did a good job in the country, the educational structure wasn't that superb, infact he had a nuclear program being ran by Pakistani scientists but nothing positive came out.

Even Iran invested heavily in education, research and tech especially after the Islamic revolution, it was after they made significant progress did they dive into nuclear technology.

The only thing that guarantee Africas freedom and space for independent decisions necessary for rapid development is nuclear weapons! A nuclear state in sub Sahara Africa will scare away perennial imperialists and allow Africans to at least choose their leaders...
We don't even need nuclear weapons... Atleast for now, let's invest heavily in education, health, science and tech. Good conventional weapons will scare away any threat.

We are not getting anything right, we import basically everything, we lack the technical know-how to even produce basic things, there can't be rapid development with these things lacking.

EducationRe: Rwanda - The Singapore Of Africa In Pictures by Efewestern: 9:05pm On Sep 18, 2020
ultron12345:
I've been to Rwanda, not just Kigali but unlike you people, I didn't just stay in the rich touristy parts of Kigali. What I went there for also took me to the interior parts of the country where the masses live.

Rwanda does not have better power supply than Nigeria. The only place with good power supply in that country is the capital city Kigali. The rest of the country remains in darkness. Rwanda focuses all their power, infrastructure, money in one single tiny location (Kigali) while Nigeria spreads it out across 36 states and FCT. If Nigeria decides to do same and focus all our power supply on key cities like Lagos, Abuja and PH while leaving the rest of the country in darkness, foreigners will visit Lagos and say there's constant electricity, but that won't change the reality that majority of the country still remains in darkness. The percentage of Rwandans with access to electricity is just 34%.

Again, the only place in Rwanda with infrastructure is Kigali, and even Kigali's infrastructure is at best, on par with infrastructure in key places of Lagos and Abuja and other state capitals. Apart from Kigali and few roads leading to important places around the country, most roads are not even paved.

I guess Rwanda is also better than the US and Brazil because it has a national carrier while the US and Brazil don't. Air Peace alone is bigger than Rwandair. AirPeace has a fleet size of 23 planes while Rwandair has just 12.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RwandAir
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Peace

It's a known fact that Rwanda is ready to do anything to look good, they spend heavily on PR. It's the same country that has been accused of rigging their economic data like what they did with poverty statistics, making them appear to be falling, when in reality, they are actually falling. What this also implies, is that Rwanda's already abysmal economic data like GDP per capita, electricity access etc, could even be worse in reality.

Nigeria and South Africa are the top tech hubs in Africa, closely followed by Kenya and Egypt, and then others like Ghana, before the likes of Rwanda.

https://m.guardian.ng/technology/lagos-emerges-best-startups-ecosystem-in-africa/amp/

According to the Africa Venture Capital Report, Nigeria receives the highest tech venture capital in Africa, followed by Kenya and South Africa. You can download the report here

https://weetracker.com/2020/01/04/african-venture-capital-startup-funding-2019/

The average Rwandan does not earn anywhere near the average Nigerian. Rwanda has a GDP per capita of $770, putting it worse then Haiti at $860. Nigeria is at $2200. The minimum wage in Nigeria is $1000 per annum. In Rwanda, it's (100RWF) $0.11 per day, that is $39.6 per annum assuming one works 30 days a month.

All you uploaded are just over-enhanced pictures of the very best parts of the country. Rwanda is just the average small, poor country like Haiti and Burundi, but with good PR. And the people can't tell the world the reality on ground because if they do, they'll be locked up by the dictator running their country. Look at him calling a country poorer than Haiti, Singapore of Africa. Mtcheeeeew. What will you now call Mauritius?

Efewestern is coming to disagree with you
Would definitely disagree with him, having huge oil reserves doesn't mean anything when you struggle to sell some few barrels due to crippling sanctions, even when they managed to sell, they still struggle to receive payment, so the guy saying Iran's huge oil reserves should automatically transform to develop under their current situation is delusional, their economy is presently having a meltdown, with high inflation, truth is, you can't mess or disagree with the US (the most powerful nation on earth) without dire consequences.

That being said, i don't expect someone from Nigeria to call a country like Iran shithole, technologically, scientifically, we are not mates, over the past decades, they have constantly made significant progress in all fields... despite being ruled by Islamic hardliners, they continue to advance in science & tech.

I don't support the execution of this wrestler, reports are saying he murdered someone, but with how the leaders in the past have silent protesters, that might be a made up story.

It makes no economic sense to just have it running for the sake of it especially when importation is cheeper than local production, well except they ban importation of steel but then again Nigeria is poor with a wretched purchasing power and can we really handle the related inflation that follows it? This is another foreign rice - local rice scenario, haven't we learnt anything from it? Would Nigerians better off? Would the senseless trade off be worth it?
Does it makes any economic sense to kill all our industries because we can import cheaper products from China? what have we learnt from grounding all our refineries because of cheaper importation?

Diffinitely, should we have our steel plants back, steel importation will be banned or heavy import duty placed on the importation of steel.

We are crying of high rates of unemployment, the best way to help reduce this is heavy industrialization, don't care if the products produced in Nigeria are a bit expensive, provided qualities are improved.

Remember when Nigeria was still importing cement? everyone thought producing locally wouldn't make any sense because importation was far cheaper, today we have several indigenous factories doing very well with thousands of Nigerians employed.
BusinessRe: KAM Steel Acquires Standard Methallugical Company, Targets 10,000 Jobs by Efewestern:
darfay:
The Chinese have actually spoilt the steel buiz. We never made hay while the sun was up
So because they produce cheaper steel, others shouldn't have a steel company? There's no reasonable nation without a functional steel company, even if we don't export, we should be able to meet our local demand.

Let's not even talk about the thousands of jobs that will be created should we have our steel plants working, I know how many people lived a comfortable life when Aladja steel company was still functional.

Igbochief001:
we are better than countries like Australia , usa , Canada , India , Iran , Russia who could not produce as cheap as china ?
All the countries you mentioned above produce their own steel and are self reliant, even heavily sanctioned Iran has a functional steel company.

We shouldn't even be aiming for exportation, let's be self reliant, it will save us a lot of forex and also CREATE LOTS OF JOBS.

when Aladja steel company was functional, do you know how many people were employed directly or indirectly? This thinking is the reason our forebears killed everything just to import cheaper products.

Where I'm from(arguably third/fourth largest isoko town) they took a one time charge of 15k when a relative built there maybe it's because we are indigenes for town planning committee.
There are some fees indigenes do not pay when developing in Warri, most pay nothing, the main issue here is how strangers are being milked, doesn't matter if you are from Ughelli or Eku, if you are not from Ekpan for example, you will pay through the nose before erecting any structure.

I believe your home town might also have several levies for non-indigenes, I know about Ozoro, you are expected to pay some fees, though can't be compared to what's obtainable in Warri/Uvwie/Udu/Okpe.

You're absolutely right. By this one can indeed say the government is complicit in the whole nonsense.

There was a third plot I acquired less than a kilometer close to these. After paying 70k for settlement, a month later I invited drillers to make a borehole on the plot for me.

These same youths still mobilised themselves to site demanding that they be settled by the drilling company. The company insisted they wouldn't and that government has advised they never pay no one to do any sort of work on sites.

Na so work no fit proceed o. Until I gave them 30k for booze. It is a pandemic on its own honestly.
Lol, 30k for borehole grin, it's like your people are learning a lot from our end, what amazes me is how they usually find out that work is about to kick off in a particular site, before you say Jack, they have surrounded you with cutlass and other deadly weapons.

It was in Warri, Ekpan to be precise, that I witnessed real notoriety when it comes to "settlement" back in 2007.

Police themselves advised the developer to settle the youths, and more than 5 youth groups came to site, none of which was willing to receive less than 50k!!!

Imagine what 50k could do back then!

Elders and other groups were yet to come for their share.

The guy was trying to build a hotel close to the Local Government secretariat. I felt so disgusted by the attitude of the youths and pity for the man. Heard he was related to G-Agofure. Wonder why Agofure couldnt wade in.

Those boys are something else. I presume it has gotten far worse, reason why the government wants to step in.
Smh.
grin grin

Sorry, had to laugh, you see Ekpan? no where in Nigeria can match them when it comes to rascality and notoriety, them be werey, these guys go head to head with armed forces, na these people you one follow fight?, if you want your project completed, your best bet is to pay them.

Even after paying these several groups, some will return to task the labourers. Even if he was Aghofure's son, they would still task him, when Aghofure was building his park along PTI road, he also settled these guys, they are the law!

PS: The Local Government secretariat is a bit farther from Ekpan, maybe you missed the exact location, and I hope that experience won't affect how you see that place, aside these guys, warri is a cool place for investment.

Had to do this because I'm leaving the country for a long time soon. Wanted to completely secure the properties. Ministry go still chop their own share today.

Government might not have a hand in this directly, but their silence and how they work with these same men during election or when they are enforcing rules says a lot.

I mean, these guys are easy to track, what's stopping them from taking necessary steps so others can desist from these evil practices?

Chairman came in, in a bid to undo all policies made by Obama ripped off a working deal. Who does that?
