Sirniyeh:
with all this your postulation, what do you identify as Nigeria's problem? How can it be tackled? This is the issue! The present caccus in this dispensation of political malfuntioning are not helping the matter. We all need a calous man with integrity to revive the nation from the vampires. So i think buhari should be trusted with this mandate with reference to his previous profile and ideology.

Please try and do a random survey and see how many Nigerians will vote him and don't forget to ask why. We no dey like reason. We're a sentimental nation. Way too sentimental for my liking. To add to this, we are selfish because each group keep crying "me!" "na my turn" etc. Then, we come to religion and ethnicity... and then the propaganda surrounding his rule in the military era. It's really sad to think that he might never become president.

We need Buhari but the question is do we WANT him?

I honestly wish I could vote in 2015 just so that I can say I voted for this man.

I doubt he will ever become president. Many Nigerians are blinded by tribalism, religious and other poisonous lies. Truth is we refuse to see beyond our present situation so we are easily swayed and carried away by the empty promises and bribes that politicians give during the campaign process. If market women after all these years still can't see that these guys are liars then I dunno what else will happen. They give you a bag of rice and some change for a month but for the next 4 years, nothing happens. Common sense should teach you not to vote them in next time. BUT the next election period, they do the same thing and you react the same way. We never learn and that's the truth.

It's only Nigeria that you'll hear funny stories that turns real.
Imagine, Lagos To Ban Unintelligent Students From Public Schools.
If you ban them, who will teach them to be intelligent? Talking about Banning unintelligent students, is like saying sick people shouldn't go to the hospital for treatment.
GROW UP NAIJA!

Did you read the article?? I doubt it cause if you did, you would think otherwise. Whoever put this on the FP should take some blame as well.
Education / Re: Lagos To Ban Unintelligent Students From Public Schools by Egbagirl(f): 3:37pm On Nov 12, 2013
I think the title of the topic is very misleading and I hope it wasn't done intentionally. I also doubt that many people here read the article or even glanced through it. It is NORMAL for educational facilities to have passing criteria. Let's be serious here. Most of you went to one type of school or another and you know that if you did not pass with a C or 50%, you were not promoted. You had to repeat the class or whatever. The summary of this article is that teachers should not encourage passing students that don't meet the criteria. All those parents that like to go and beg teachers etc need to stop. If you don't meet the criteria, you cannot be promoted.

We all want a better system yet we criticize the govt when they try to do the right thing. How can a student who doesn't pass the assessment test move on to the next level? Then when these kids graduate, you insult them and call them dullards. If you have not understood A, why should I promote you to go and learn B? How does that work.

I swear Nigeria will remain the way it is and it will not be on the leaders but the citizens.

Stop lying. Public schools in Lagos are not free. You people are too full of lies. You cannot even get admitted without showing your tax clearance. Even poor jobless widows had to pay a minimum of 5k to get so called tax clearance for their wards. LASG is a big fraud as ever! Thieves! Ole!

I'm trying to understand you. So if these people pay their taxes on the regular, they get tax clearance right? So once they have that, do they have to pay any additional fee for their kids? Do they pay school fees?

In short, what fees are they paying?

I don't think it's meant to look real. It's pretty obvious that it's fake and I tink that's how it was meant to be.

Business / Re: Woolsworth Set To Exit Nigeria. by Egbagirl(f): 3:25pm On Nov 08, 2013
sunnshyn: Truth be told...the Woolworth brand isn't meant for Blacks...their clothes are beyond bland I tell u...though of good quality...Nigerians in particular are HIGHLY fashionable people. We like bright coloured clothes, modern and beautiful styles and cuts.

Evn in South Africa here, majority of people who shops at woolworths are whites and they buy on credit so also with the few blacks...The credit structured economy of South Africa favours most business owners, whereby the citizens buy these clothes and the funds deducted from their account each and every month...

When I heard Woolworths was in Nigeria, I went - huh? Who's gonna buy them bland looking clothes? I'm not surprised they are running away now. Its better for them really. Personally, I wouldn't wear some of what Woolworth sells, not even for free.

I totally agree. Their clothes are not nice at all. I mean you don't have to have all the prints in the world but there is no style attached to their products. I doubt if I have ever bought anything from those guys.

Honestly, I dont understand people. What is wrong in selling this car? Do you know how much the guy wants to sell it for? Abeg, if no buy, waka pass. Na by force?? Even if it is 100k the guy will get for the car, is it not money?? If the car is running fine and nothing is wrong with it, can't someone use that as a taxi or something? All of una dey front like say una never enter dis kain car before. mscheeeew.

If I was a fresh graduate looking to buy a car and this car is in good condition, I would def buy it. It's even clean sef compared to some other cars I've seen. Plus you can always give the car a touch-up. repaint it or something.

Y'all come on here fronting. Nonsense.

Food / Re: Can Eating Yams Really Give You Twins? by Egbagirl(f): 8:39pm On Nov 06, 2013
Some people can like to read and understand before making comments. There is a specific type of yam in Oyo so it doesn't apply to all types. So if your mom, sister, friend, girl friend, aunty or whoever eats/ate yam 3 times a day and she doesn't/didn't have twins, please ask her where the yam is from.

Anyway, all I see right now is good business and money.
