mrjaydee: I just skipped about 8pages I miss those days when this thread was about drivers sharing experiences, jokes and tips.
Who we offend? Why do we have this lowlife audio money CEOs here?? Cant they create their own thread and leave us the drivers here??
This is bleeped!!! I believe lowlife is a complimentary statement for someone who claims to be an upstream employee, spends his whole existence here trying to protect his ego, cause he wants to have the last word. narcissism is worse than cancer bro.the host don't accept they have it |

With all your threats too, I still dont go to places I dont want to go
Yes I am the owner of the car and I cant park at home because I'm not lazy, and mind you.. the platform is NOTHING without us drivers but we can survive without them. There are offline jobs bro, you know nothing...... ....... Jon snow |

radautoworks: I'm more informed...
..that I pay my people to much
Just joking. My people deserve all they get and more... Most of the time.
It makes sense why people resort to some of the things they do. But it doesn't change that sometimes it's penny wise, pound foolish. One has to think of ways to cater to that demographic. If it means in the future having a budget brand separate from our main brands that strictly deals in "rigging" and tokunbo parts to keep you going with full disclosure, that may be an option but one would have to do research to see if it is worth the potential problems. Yes, we know how to rig but don't.
At one point, EgunMogaji2 was talking about potentially opening an American style junk yard. If something like that was available, that demographic would be a lot easier to serve. what so you think ladipo is |

GraGra247: No not like in Nigeria.
1. Nigerian flood "always" happens because of permanent all year round blocked drainages that makes any little rainfall turn to flood.
British or American flood happens due to a hurricane or a major storm that happens once in a very long stretch of time. Bros, this one you dey see so,na rain.your analysis is flawed.it floods in London bro |

There was a time Otedola took Molue, though some might say it was a public stunt, but it is a confirmation these people also occasionally go for normal lifestyles as every individual.
Beside, I don't even think any top CEO will put his hot line or biz line on Uber or any ehailing platform. most of the CEOs I've carried had their assistants order Uber for them. and I can tell you on authority, they ride uber.its the least things anyone will think of them doing, just like someone here. they're humans like us,and some of them don't want unnecessary attention |

Imagine the audacity "Driver shouldn't cancel any ride, or they should leave the platform" Why don't they say "Uber shouldn't make non cancellation mandatory, or they should provide the cars" Why not Uber provide the cars if they want to mandate non cancellation? Who bears these costs of repair, Uber or riders?
Any driver is free to cancel any trip. If a driver decided to ask for destination, it is his decision as no one share in his cost of repairs. peooke that can't do what they preach

donfortune48: Dear ornicus, Everyone here agreed that the driver was wrong for requesting for an offline with you, even those attacking you. But what many are trying to explain to you is that, reporting him to uber seems somehow, quite harsh do to some justifiable reasons in relation to our experience on this job.
Over 70% of uber drivers (even those that supported you) don't like going to festac, satellite town and amuwo odofin for some reasons. rubbery incidents, heavy traffic, bad roads along that way. you'll likely pass through Babs Animashaun going to festac from gbagada. Which is one of the worst roads in Lagos.
Most people don't negotiate offline just to cheat Uber. Most times we negotiate offline to justify the risk we're taking for that particular trip. Risks related to possible robbery along that route, or not getting a request back, or passing through bad roads that will possibly damage your car, or getting stuck in an unexpected traffic that will affect your day etc...
I've once negotiated for an offline to amuwo odofin cos there was traffic from Orile to Festac. So I explain to my rider that I will like to follow middle lane to alakija, then go through Festac to amuwo Odofin. We got to the destination rider was so happy seeing the traffic we avoided and added 1k to our agreed fare.
We're not trying to justify Evil. We're only trying to tell you to be flexible in reasoning. That driver must have had over 5trips on uber before your trip that day, but he didn't negotiate offline with them. So you just need to understand that there might be a reason behind his request for offline which could not be exactly what he told you.
I know you may not accept this explanation cos you don't do Uber and you don't know what we see daily. I know it will look like convincing Dru23, who sees the job as a blessing, that the job is not easy, when he don't know how to hold a steering....
...but please think otherwise and don't be stiff in reasoning. donfortune48,this is undue advantage o. Dru right now

dru23: For your information whether offline or online a lot of you drivers will still complain and stories.. The drivers that work for me do not pay a kobo for maintenance. One of them started giving stories ,I had to warn and he knows he will not get a better deal anywhere else ..... I could have had close to 20 cars on my fleet.. But am taking my time to make sure I hire good drivers that are willing to work .. They are out there, but person has to be patient and be calm.... Six months ago I got a driver via NL.. I gave the driver the car in excellent condition, I introduce him to my mechanic.. The first day on the Job the driver bash the car and then drop the car at my mechanic.. The fool than called me and ask when the car will be ready.... The damage was over 40k naira.. I sacked him on the spot without saying anything ... And few weeks later he came on NL looking for a car .. I just kept quiet and didn't say anything on the forum.... This ehailing business is like a game ,you have to know what you are doing.. Nobody will come and hold your hands in this world.. Only you and yourself can make a change.. Think outside the box to make changes, and don't over do things.. Even if you are giving out cards for offline job, be discreet about it .. Give good customer service.. And know when to offer your service and know when not to .. If your presentation is good ,it is the riders that will use their own mouth to ask for offline services .. It is a jungle out here ,everyman for himself I don't understand. 1 Was he your employee? 2 how did you sack him without saying anything |

ornicus: i have been riding on uber for the past four months. before i could register this complaint, i had to COMPLETE my registration on the website and set up an email address.
https://www.uber.com/global/en/sign-in/
prior to this, i had NEVER had any notifications outside of the app the moment i did this, i started getting notifications in my email of every trip i had done. i hope this clarifies. this is also applicable to anyone who rides uber for business trips for anyone riding uber for business trips, this is how you generate receipts that can be tendered this can be presented as a receipt - something most of the dodgy jokers herein will not understand
obviously every Driver has to do a COMPLETE registration, since the driver is the one in a business relationship proper
this foolish response is precisely why i say so many of you are unemployable . you continue to demonstrate a complete lack of logical thinking
nice attempt at trolling, though. lets see what your next step will be
we have moved from broke mofo to you dont ride uber to festac to wow so you are registered on uber
keep on with the mentions, but don't bi-tch about the responses this doesn't change the fact that you fraudulently took pics of a someone else's parked car in a roadside lot in festac town.youve fraudulently avoided that topic from the time I mentioned it to now that it's being mentioned by someone else .your hypocrisy is astronomical on an inside life level. stop being what you're not.there are lots of folks here that can help you if only you're humble.its never too late to be a good boy. eat the humble pie.insulting peeps shows your loyalty to the low life crew. listening to you at times makes me wonder if your naming ceremony was ever conducted. be guided boy, you're straying too far |
