Mmadu2:If it was a man he punched, should they also descend on him? God forbid, I fight a man because he is beating a woman. We are all human beings. No special privileges for women. |
dingbang:First Registrar's was divested several years ago. FBN Insurance has been divested too. Same with FBN Microfinance Bank. What you have now is First Bank and FBN Quest and then First Pension is a subsidiary under First Bank. There are also the international subsidiaries under First Bank. |
Penguin2:Lol. This chest beating is one of the causes of problems for the Igbo man. Particularly when done in Ignorance. This position is a figurehead position. The real leader of the bank is Adeduntan, the MD of First Bank. Think of Okonkwo's position as ceremonial. He does investor relations, relating to the NGX, investor calls etc but the bank is actually being run by Adeduntan. Not that it matters for tribalist idiots though because Okonkwo has more in common with Adeduntan than you here thinking you can live vicariously through the achievements of someone else. Class is more important than tribe |
davien:You can buy credit default swaps on foreign markets through bulge bracket IBs as the market makers but they won't deal with you unless you have an ISDA agreement which comes with huge capital requirements. |

He doesn't have baby mamas. Do you know the meaning of baby mama? If the woman is unknown and unidentified or a surrogate, how does she count as a baby mama? Do you even know the meaning of surrogate? The twins are children of both Georgina and Ronaldo but borne through gestational surrogacy. Just like Jay Z and Beyonce did for their twins. Let me explain it so you understand: sperm is taken from Ronaldo, and egg is taken from Georgina but the pregnancy is borne by someone else. How does that count as a baby mama? The only child that does not have Georgina's DNA is the first child and he is from a paid egg donor and a surrogate. That again doesn't count as a baby mama. |
shogsman:Oga who is Ronaldo Junior's mum? Say her name. I am waiting. Ronaldo is not in the US. Stop bringing up US. What respect does being a wife give? This is a silly Nigerian mentality. Elon Musk, the richest man in the world is not married and he is in America, go and advise him to marry a woman so that she will get the "respect " that marriage brings. What support and contribution has she brought into his life? Na she dey help am score goal? She will always get child support. . |
Immuniti5:Nonsense said by someone whose signature calls Satoshi, Bitcoin's sister coin. This shows just how |
Pi miners are very delusional. They are down there with flat earth theorists in their willful ignorance |
davien:You can't. I am guessing you watched The Big Short recently. There are no swaps traded in Nigeria and even globally, you can't trade CDS without an ISDA. I am guessing you don't have an ISDA. The only derivatives traded in Nigeria are simple warrants, FX options and non deliverable forwards and they are mostly for hedging purposes by banks. For example, a bank may give out fcy loans to an importer and if the importer is paying back lcy, they will hedge the position with a non deliverable forward. |
Fiscus105:He only has one baby mama |
shogsman:So many lies in one post. Ronaldo does not have three baby mamas. The lady has three children for him (one she gave birth by herself and the twins through surrogate) and the first child is gestational surrogacy. Tiger Woods was practically ruined by his divorce. The three richest people on earth today are single. Marriage is not an achievement. What would change by her getting married other than creating unnecessary legal complications? Lastly, this is a very Nigerian mentality that you should try to keep away. |
These days, na mumu dey marry because what kind of thing is this? You want to say you didn't notice this attitude of hers before marrying her? These are the type of women who prefer to marry a man whose mother is late. They forget they will be mother in law's some days. You even send her family money. Wow. No wonder people steal these days. It's not your responsibility to send her parents money. |
NGELEBUBE:Nigeria has good relations with those countries. How many Isrealis stay in Saudi Arabia? When Nigeria splits, it will be acrimonious. Biafra will NOT have good relations with Arewa. Stop the wishful thinking. The entire south east is less than the land area of Niger state. Important issues such as food security have not been sorted out. That's why IPOB always include the south South as part of their Biafra because they realise the utter stupidity of a Biafra based on a landlocked, densely populated, food insecure region. Why was it easy to use starvation as a weapon during the civil war? |
Godpunishnairal:Actually, a mass immigration of Igbos back to the 5 South East state would be the clearest signal that the average Igbos want Biafra. As it is, it is just a political negotiation strategy by Ohaneze and an ideology by IPOB. If the ordinary Igbo man in Ladipo or Alaba realizes he will have to go to other African countries or be stuck in Igbo land upon the disintegration of Nigeria, do you think he will support this? A lot of Biafra supporters are very naive. |
Amumaigwe:Because Nigeria is not going to have an amicable split. If you are looking for a template for the disintegration of Nigeria, think of Yugoslavia. That means war will happen. Igbos will have to move en masse back to the South East, a small piece of land that won't contain its huge population. Most of the people campaigning for disintegration seem to be doing it in the wishful thinking that Nigeria will break up and they will just continue to live outside their region except that their country won't be ruled by Fulanis again. No, you will need a Visa and work permit and given the acrimony that would result from the split, it won't be granted. It should also be taken as a given that any property in the North by Igbos will be lost. |
durangokid:That won't happen in a balkanized Nigerians. Igbos won't be able to stay in the North again. You can take that to the bank. |
The topic says "girlfriend dumps her". Referring to the guy as a her. Is that a Freudian slip? |
Manage for now, when you blow, you will leave her and also date girls whose boyfriends don't have money. Or Stop being a Simp and focus on self improvement. Your choice. |
Na mumu dey propose |
eagleu:The word is okhokho. This one wan start attache by force. What has civil war got to do with it? Ah, the civil war really destroyed the psychology of Igbos for you to be thinking the word for fowl was changed because of Igbos. Igbos and Igboid groups call dogs Nkita while the Edos call it Ekita, Edos call Oil Ofigbon, while Igboid groups have variations of the same word as their word for palm oil. It only shows that language is a continuum not that people are changing words because of Igbos. Get away from your victim mentality. It won't help you in life. |
With the way people were complaining about BBN and praising GUS, I would have thought this thread would be full of comments but alas, crickets Just goes to show you the organizers of BBN know what people want. Criticism may be loud but the numbers don't lie. More people would watch Nengi rock Laycon with her surgically enhanced ikebe than watch children solving a spelling bee. After watching the former, they will come to Nairaland and complain on why companies are not sponsoring the latter. |
CHoccolaTE:They will file a CTR. Currency Transaction Report. This is compulsory as the transfer is above 10,000 USD. To stop them from filing an STR (Suspicious Transaction Report) which could see the funds witheld for as short as 24 hours to as much as 3 months (in cases I have seen), it is important to get in touch with your bank BEFORE the transaction arrives and provide supporting information and documentation to let them know you will be getting such a transfer. If you do this and the funds are truly genuine (or have been made to appear genuine), the funds will be available immediately after receipt without the filing of an STR. |
henryobinna:You are quite simply stupid. Learn to spell then get back to me. Only half educated morons use deep web and dark web interchangeably. A little learning they say is a dangerous thing. Where did I tell you that the deep web only existed after TOR if not for your desire to interject needless information by creating a straw man argument. In any case, you are a half wit so any riposte by you will be ignored and I will leave you to stew in your ignorance. |
How's it a CRIMINAL offence? |
henryobinna:What are you trying to communicate? Go read about the history of TOR. TOR is not the only means of accessing the deep web (different from dark web) but has become popular and yes, it was created on behalf of the US intelligence agencies. It wasn't created so that they could access the deep web but so they could secure their communications, locations and IP. Not every time "I too know", sometimes you go and read on it first. |
Sapa motivated talk |
Numerouno94:Tor, the software used to access the dark web was created for the use of US intelligence agencies, so they have also been studying the vulnerabilities of and ways of attacking Tor |
As long as he uses his details (including phone number), you would be fine. The only downside is that if he defaults, they will message your contacts that he is owing. Your contacts will be perplexed as they likely not know him So go ahead and help him. I hope he has a plan to repay and it is not the 50% per week Chinese loan apps. |
Darkseid:Many people prefer the convenience of loading airtime on their OWN lines without having to input a pin every now and then. Why don't these people who lose their phones use a pin to lock their phone and sims in the first place? |
