These cases you mentioned never spoke about Special Status or not.

One case that comes to mind is Musa Baba Panya v. President of the FRN at the CA: Akomaye Agim was on that panel of 3. This case was built on whether indigenes of the FCT should also partake to be appointed as Ministers from a State (the FCT), subject to S299 of the 1999 CFRN and the CA ruled in affirmation. Even till now, that judgement has not been implemented.

I still do not know why FCT should be treated as a State according to S299 wrt agencies of Govt, Courts, etc yet be elevated wrt electoral status. I know the broader interpretation or mischief rule will come in handy for that interpretation!

The words here are "each" and "and".

Each is a distributive adjective pronoun, which denotes or refers to every one of the persons or things mentioned; every one or two or more persons or things, composing the whole, separately considered.” (SC in Eyisi & Ors v State 2000)

And is performing the function of joining two expressions or sentences which could be inseparable, integrated, joint or matched. (SC in Buhari v INEC 2008)

I think even though the SC has not ruled on the electoral status of the FCT, it will be treated as a State.

INEC says Abuja has no special status. This means the much discussed 25% in Abuja does not mean anything.

The SC judgement In 2003 has it that Abuja is just the 37th state in Nigeria . It has no special status.

Section 299(1) of the Constitution provides that the provisions of the Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory as if it were one of the states of the Federation. It means that the FCT is the 37th state.

So section 134 of the Constitution which provides that “not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in EACH of at least two-thirds of ALL THE STATES AND the FCT” means 25 states or 24 states plus the FCT. Winning the FCT by a candidate is not compulsory.

As a child from a broken home, I saw marriage as my happy ending of finally having a home filled with love and mutual understanding. After the death of my mom, growing up with my dad and stepmom was hell. I was treated as a stranger in my own home, so I thought starting my own family will be a lot better.

After I completed my education and got a good job. I had a lot of suitors willing to settle down with me. Most of them were rich and accomplished men, but there was no spark, I felt they weren't genuinely in love with me, and since I was never a materialistic person, I turned them down. I get easily content with what I have and I spend prudently. Then I met my husband. It happened that I was his crush back then in school, in fact, he even approached me as a student then, but I turned him down because I knew where I was coming from and I never wanted to gamble with my studies, it was my only hope to leave my father's house and fend for myself.

Fast forward to when I met my husband after school. He didn't even have a good job. But I could tell I meant a great deal to him, we'll speak for hours on the phone. I fell hopelessly in love with him, I could already picture a happy home with him and our kids. Then he proposed, and I accepted. I met his family, they were nice on the first visit.

After the introduction ceremony with my family, I started noticing certain things. I was taking pictures with his phone when I saw a message from his mom telling him I'm a stranger and he shouldn't allow me to come between them. I was surprised and wondered where all this was coming from, I asked him and he reassured me that it was nothing.

Then his father told me that hope I know that a son should love and care for his parents more than his kids. I kept pondering this statement. Then the worse of it all was his married sister, she hasn't even met me, but she rained insults and abuses on me on his phone and why he needs to make money first and allow his family to enjoy his money, before getting married. She said I was old, and just forcing him to marry me. I was just 26 then, but my education was very fast.

I had to speak to her dad about this and he cautioned her. I tried speaking to her myself but she rained insults again on me. I called off the wedding at a point but my then-fiance begged and involved my brother and so we went on with the wedding preparations. The wedding went well and his entire family stayed with us for a week before leaving.

My husband got a good job, I was working, we were fine and money wasn't our problem. A few months later, my father-in-law died. I sent messages and called hubby's siblings to comfort them. I couldn't travel with him immediately due to the nature of my job. I kept calling to check on him and inquire about the traditional rites I might need to be a part of. Hubby said his father was a pastor so he won't need to do anything, while we were yet speaking, his sister who hates me snatched the phone from him and said I have to do this and that or I should pack my things and leave the house and then she shouted at me.

I was so pissed and acted in a way that wasn't right considering that we were all mourning. I sent a message to her, telling her to be nice considering that we are all mourning but if she chooses to continue insulting and humiliating me for no reason, I won't take it. She forwarded the message to the entire family, including uncles, aunts, and grandchildren. On the day of the burial, I was treated as an outcast by the entire family, she told them not to give my birth family food, even though they came bearing gifts and comforting everyone. Hubby had to step in and ask the caterers to serve them.

She kept fighting and shouting at my hubby throughout the burial and tried denying him of things he was supposed to do as the first son and child. I was humiliated and she kept castigating my name and insulting me to hearings of everyone. I wasn't even allowed to eat. I was quiet all through, when family members were asked to sit behind the corpse, she asked me to excuse them.

For fear of my life after the burial, I had to go lodge in a hotel outside. The next morning she and her brother kept shouting and complaining that why did hubby allow me to lodge and that I should have been with their mom. They continued the humiliation, I couldn't take it anymore or hold back my tears so I left.

Hubby later told me that she held a meeting in my absence with the entire family and told them I'm a bad wife and needs to leave her brother. This was when hubby stood up for me and said I wasn't going anywhere.

Our marriage was never the same. Even when we had our daughter, no one called, hubby was ostracized from his own family and he blamed me sometimes. I couldn't concentrate at work, and my job is performance-based. I was scared that I'll be fired, so I resigned.

Hubby's income wasn't enough to sustain us, so we started facing financial difficulties. He had to even go meet the same sister to borrow money, even though I discouraged it. She always mocked him for it and I had to pay off the loan at a point.


When she saw that we are now broke, she stopped fighting with him and they are on talking terms now, of course, she still wants nothing to do with me. I know that they are family by blood and nothing is too hard to forgive, but each time she calls and they are happily discussing, Ican't help but feel angry for all she has caused us. I'm sometimes tempted to leave this marriage because this is not what I envisaged at all.

My brother is also married and I have never felt the need to interfere in his marriage or fight his wife.

I don't know how long I can continue in this union, even my innocent beautiful daughter is hated by them.

It is painful you saw the problems coming yet you went ahead with the wedding. You have a good husband but bad inlws! They don't want the progress of thier brother who is yiur husband. Do you know the kind of woman your mother-in law is? I have read a copy of Obi's petition.

1. He never challenged Asiwaju's Candidacy to participate in the APC Primary.

2. LP held their Primary where Utomi stepped down for Obi to become the sole Candidate.

3. Even if inter alia, the APC and/or LP Primaries were wrongly conducted, Peter Obi and LP lacks the locus to challenge that of the APC and vice-versa.

Well, having read the submissions of the APC in response to the LP's petition:

This is just the defendant's reply to the petition, we have not even gotten to the pre-hearing stage, let alone proper trial.

The LP now has 7 days to apply for pre-hearing or 5 days to respond to the defendant's new facts which I believe there is.
However, it is expected that the Tribunal will respond to the Objections first, during the ruling proper.

A Presidential election petition of this magnitude will naturally not dwell on technicalities.

1. That Obi was not a registered member of the LP before May 24 last year.

This is at best puerile. Does the APC have the locus standi to challenge? NO.

a. Once there is no locus standi, there is no jurisdiction. Jurisdiction is the lifeblood and existence of any case. Once there is no jurisdiction, no matter how finely delivered a case is ruled upon, it becomes null and void, ab initio.

Only a member of the LP can challenge the membership of Peter Obi. The Court can best describe the APC as meddlesome interlopers and busybodies.

b. This matter is a pre-election matter. Membership, nomination and sponsorship of any Candidate in a political party is a pre-election issue that should be filed not more than 14 days after the cause of action at the FHC.

Same suit was brought up by a political party, the APM and the Appeal Court ruled in February 2023, that they do not have the locus. The PEPT or SC will not even delve into the merits but shut it out for lack of locus standi.

2. Non-joinder of Atiku Abubakar & PDP
This again should likely not upturn anything. This is an election petitions tribunal and it is declaratory in nature.

It is an independent and individualistic appeal, at best, this is academic considering that the PDP & her Candidate are also in Court. It is urging the Court to subject to intellectual argument and satisfy intellectual prowess which cannot answer the questions in the live issues to be determined in the suit.

3. Arrangement of tables, etc.

Is this enough to throw out the petitions before we even get to the stage of hearing in the petitions? In my humble opinion, NO.

I believe all 3 Objections will be dismissed so that we can really listen to the REAL ISSUES.

What the defendant has done is not unexpected, raise up issues to dismiss the suit.

I’ve seen/read a lot of Tinubu supporters making statements like “the case will drag on for 3 years” and similar things in response to Peter Obi’s case in court against Tinubu’s victory in the last election.

Well, do not know if they have been making those statements out of ignorance or they deliberately want to misinform the public.

Well, I’m here to educate them and the rest of Nigerians, that Election Petition dragging on for years is a thing of the past that has been taken care of by Amendments to the constitution.

This amendment was made to ensure that wrong candidates who were wrongly declared at the polls do not enjoy the privilege of such office for years before being booted out of office through the courts.

To this end, the lifespan of Election Petition Tribunals was pegged at 180 days for Election Petition Tribunal. 60 days for Appeal Court and 60 days for Supreme Court. That’s cumulative of 360 days that an election thief can hold onto a stolen mandate from the time that the petition was filed in court.

This is the reason why the former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, spent just about 8 months in power before he was sacked by the Supreme Court. Again, if you have followed Election Petitions in recent years in Nigeria, you’d have realized that no Election Petition has lasted up to one year from the Tribunal to the Supreme Court.

However, it becomes different in the Presidential Election Petition because the Presidential election petition originates at the Appeal Court and not the High Court/Tribunal. What this means is that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal MUST decide the petition within 180 days from the day the case was filed in court. Any party who disagrees with the ruling of PEPT would now proceed to Supreme Court which MUST also give its ruling within 60 days.

What this means is that the PEPT can decide to give judgment within 30 days or 50 days, but MUST not exceed 180 days. Same thing applies to the Supreme Court.

This goes to say that if Peter Obi and his Lawyers push for a speedy trial as many people are advocating, and get it, the election petition can be decided before May 29th.

Meanwhile, Tinubu and his Lawyers have 21 days from the day they were served with the Petitioner(s) case to respond to the case. They have just about 6 days to that after which trials will begin proper.

So, next time you hear Tinubu boys say that the Election Petition can drag on till infinity, just laugh at their ignorance and move on.

. Thank you my brother for your thread.Whoever thinks the PEPT and SC judgementa will last for many years is dreaming.As you have said it has a time limit as you have indicated. PEPT is 180 days while SC is 60 days. So PEPT and SC decisions on presidential election are not to be determined till eternity..If time is against the SC , the Apex court will give the judgement in summary and select another day for the details. Osun Governorship Verdict And Issues Before The Supreme Court

The Court of Appeal judgement upholding the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke is widely adjudged as one of the best in recent judicial history. Compared with the judgement of the Tribunal, the Appeal Court restored judicial normalcy based on laws and precedents. The Supreme Court is not likely to have problem with upholding the Court of Appeal ruling as the Tribunal judgement was adjudged locally and internationally as a misnomer and an aberration in the hall of justice.

That notwithstanding, beneficiaries of the miscarriage of Justice at the lower Court are not likely to relent until the last lap. A look at a recent article written by Mr Samson Owoyokun, an aide of Mr Oyetola , confirms that the plot to usurp the mandate of the people is still in play. In the article titled “THE NEGATIVE IMPLICATION OF THE OSUN STATE APPEAL COURT JUDGEMENT ON OUR ELECTORAL SYSTEM AND DEMOCRATIC PROCESS”, Mr Owoyokun struggled so hard to convince himself and his cohorts that the appellate court judgement on the governorship contest did not serve justice.

By way of foundation, Mr Owoyokun suggested that the judgement of the Appeal Court was premised on voters’ register, which he spared no effort in playing down as no longer necessary in establishing over-voting in an election. But that was not the true reflection of what transpired at the Court of Appeal. This is because the judgement of the Court of Appeal did not only uphold justice but also saved our democracy from imminent collapse.

This was even made obvious by Mr. Owoyokun in his piece, especially in the excerpt of the judgement he quoted. For clarity, page 41 of the lead judgement by Justice M.L Shuaibu, which he referenced in his article, reads as follows: “In the instant case, Exhibit BVR clearly is report from backend server of the 3rd Respondent (INEC) and not PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF ACCREDITATION AND TRANSMISSION OF RESULTS IN THE DISPUTED POLLING UNITS (Emphasis is mine). This is premised on the fact that BVAS transmissions are not done instantly from the polling units; furthermore, the Tribunal was wrong to have admitted and acted on the said evidence in isolation of the voters register for the disputed polling units.”

From the above, it was clear that the voters’ register was just one of the premises applied by the Justices of the Appeal Court in invalidating the Tribunal judgement. The judgement upheld the arguments advanced by the appellants that the BVAS machines used in the election hold more relevance in establishing over-voting as alleged by Oyetola and the APC. “Apart from failing to tender the register of voters, they also did not tender the BVAS devices from which the data was extracted,” Justice Shuaibu had held in his judgement.

This very fact was established by the INEC recently when in an affidavit filed at the Presidential Election Tribunal in the Court of Appeal in Abuja, asserted the primacy of the BVAS machines over every other source on datas realized from elections. Tanimu Inuwa, SAN, while arguing an application for the need to allow the reconfiguration of the BVAS machines used for the presidential and national assembly elections in order to use them for the governorship and state assemblies election before the panel, noted that “We have already stated in our affidavit that no information in the BVAS machine will be lost as we transfer all the data in the BVAS to our backend server.” His argument was strengthened by INEC’s Deputy Director, ICT Department, Lawrence Bayode, who pointedly noted that “before purging is approved by the BVAS devices, the data on the BVAS devices have to be uploaded to the accreditation backend server.”

The clear deduction from the above is that, contrary to Oyetola and his party’s insistence, any data on the backend server originated from the BVAS machines, hence, placing the device as the primary source of evidence for accreditation data or any other data for an election. If the INEC still needs to extract accreditation data and results on the BVAS machines to the backend server after 12 days of conducting the presidential and national assembly elections, then one can realize the inherent deficiency of the incomplete server report that Oyetola and the APC relied upon at the lower court.

It was on the strength of this simple truth that Justice C. Ifeoma Jombo-Ofo held that “It was therefore wrong of the trial Tribunal to determine the petition based on Exhibit BVR which exhibit is amenable to continuous update.” Like so many election deniers, Mr Owoyokun chooses not to interrogate this conclusion, but rather twist the reality of the judgement of the Appeal Court.

But that was not all. Justice Shuaibu held that while Oyetola and the APC tried so hard to hide under Section 137 of the Electoral Act, 2022, in prosecuting its case, they nonetheless made “PW1 gave oral evidence ostensibly to demonstrate over-voting from the report, Exhibit BVR.” However, the witness, who though, was presented as an expert by the Petitioners at the Tribunal, was an APC member and again, did not proffer his qualifications before the Tribunal to confirm his status. In essence, Justice Shuaibu held that “The provision of Section 83 (3) of the Evidence Act, 2011, is to the effect that evidence made by a person interested at the time when the proceedings were pending or anticipated, involving a dispute as to any fact which the statement must tend to establish is inadequate.”

Even more, is the question of fair hearing, which the Appeal Court held was not accorded to Governor Adeleke, the PDP and INEC, at the Tribunal. In their separate judgements, all the three justices were unanimous in holding that the majority judgement at the Tribunal violated the defendants’ right to be heard in law and so, render the processes and decision arrived, in the end, a nullity.

Touching on this in her judgement, Justice C. Ifeoma Jombo-Ofo wrote that “With the terse and scanty reference to the various preliminary objections properly laid before the learned Tribunal and the lumping together of same without giving them individual and dispassionate consideration and determination, the Tribunal has failed in the performance of its statutory duty. Because the issue of jurisdiction as raised in the preliminary objections constitutes the livewire and access to the consideration and determination of the substantive issues before the Tribunal, the said Tribunal ought to have done better. The appellant as well as the 3rd and 4th respondents are in the circumstances robbed of their right to fair hearing and a miscarriage of Justice, which is capable of rendering the proceedings and Judgement of the Tribunal a nullity and of no effect.”

This finding was similar to that of Justice James Gambo Abundaga, who pointed out the refusal of the majority judgement of the Tribunal to consider the various applications by Governor Adeleke, the PDP and INEC at the Tribunal was denial of fair hearing, hence, occasioned miscarriage of justice. “It can not be gainsaid that this failure occasioned miscarriage of justice. It is settled law that where there is a denial of fair hearing, the proceedings in which it occurred is rendered null and void,” Justice Abundaga wrote in his judgement. The judge who quoted the Supreme Court decision in the case of Alexander & Ors v. Albert & Anor (2022) LPLER–56855 (SC) and several other authorities, went on to hold that “Therefore the breach of the Appellant’s right to fair hearing can lead me to no other option other than to declare the proceedings and judgement of the Tribunal null and void, and so declare. Accordingly, the entire proceedings and judgement is declared null and void for this reason.”

Clear enough, the decision of the Court of Appeal in upholding the election of Governor Adeleke is beyond the issue of voters’ register as Mr Owoyokun tried to portray. Even more, it is inconceivable to accept the argument of Mr Owoyokun that the voters register is no longer a critical part of our election with the advent of the Electoral Act, 2022. Perhaps, it will help to stress for Mr Owoyokun’s understanding that the voters register remains the very foundation that the BVAS machines rest on.

Aside from the fact that the register of voters in each polling unit is embedded in the BVAS machines, hence, its ability to identify and accredit registered voters, it is right to point out that voters must pass the physical verification on the voters register to be able to get a ballot paper to vote. Providing the voters register and other primary evidence, like the BVAS machines and form EC8A that were at the polling units on the day of the election, shouldn’t be a hard ask for anyone who is convinced that over-voting occurred and wants to prove it. Those are the primary pieces of evidence in the election along with party agents, which the APC and Oyetola, failed to present at the court.

Maybe because the primary pieces of evidence will not support their false claim and they want to seize on the confusion of a controversial secondary evidence to deliberately cancel the lawful votes of the eventual winner and subvert the will of the Osun people. This plot failed at the Appeal Court and it is the strong hope of the people of Osun that the Supreme Court reject the overreach of a mandate usurper and go ahead to affirm the election of Governor Adeleke. That will put a total end to the dangerous plot to damage our democracy, and in turn, the power of the people to choose who leads them will be asserted.

. The Tribunal gave judgement according to their understanding of the case. The AC ruled according to their understanding of the situation. The SC has seven members and they will judge as they understand the situation. Their judgement is the final.
My questions are 1. Are back end servers. irrelevant in electoral prosecution in view of the ammended electoral laws? 2 What do we need to prove overvoting .voter register or BVAS record? 3 Is BVAS not introduced to replace Voter register which is usually manipulated during accreditation? 4 What did the PDP achieve with the BVAS machines brought to the court? 5 Must BVAS machines be brought to court to prove overvoting or the report generated from the machines.6.The SC will have to set a standard in their decision now because whatever their ruling is now will decide other judgements coming up on 2023 elections.7. Governor Ademola Adeleke of the State of Osun, on Friday, won at the Appeal Court, against the January 27, 2023 judgement that favoured his predecessor, Adegboyega Oyetola.

Oyetola, had approached the Election Petition Tribunal which sat in Osogbo, the state capital, after Adeleke was declared the winner of the July 16, 2022 governorship election.

The three-man Court of Appeal panel led by Justice Muhammed Lawal, assisted by Justice James Gomno and Justice Ifeoma Jombo-Ofo held that the grounds of the verdict of the lower court were inappropriate.

The court also awarded N500,000 fine against the defendants, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, for abuse of court process.

Delivering the unanimous judgement, Justice Lawal stressed that the tribunal was wrong to have rejected the judgment of the Court of Appeal that cleared Adeleke of forgery.

The appellate court noted that grounds as raised on the adoption of the INEC server report as against that of the BVAS machines used for the election. It stated that the BVAS machines remained the primary source for the results collated manually and transmitted to the server.

The court ruled that the tribunal only relied on the table provided by Oyetola and the APC, to give judgment in their favour, which was not enough to prove over-voting.

Justice Lawal said for the defendants to prove over-voting, the voters register must be tendered as it is intrinsically part of accreditation, according to Section 137 of the Electoral Act.

On the issue of Governor Adeleke’s certificate, the court of appeal declared that Oyetola’s witness was not an expert which he held himself out to be at the tribunal. It said the Principal Witness 1, Rasak Adeosun who claimed to be an expert, did not give evidence of his qualifications, as well as deny his membership of the APC, making his evidence barren.

The Judge announced the decision of the Court of Appeal to set aside the tribunal judgment of 27th January and affirmed the victory of Gov. Ademola Adeleke.

Sorry for the long write up my people, I need advice.

My first son has been behaving somehow in our family, as if he's not part of this family...
You and this boy can be in the same house but you might not set your eyes on him once for a whole day. He will be inside his room through out...

He has been telling me that he is currently working on going to rent his own place and live on his own and that if God helps him and he is able to achieve that, He will not have anything to do with our family again and that we will never set eyes on him ever again :[ ...

I would have not been bothered by such statement if it were coming from someone else, I would take it as a bluff. But this my son is someone that normally doesn't call people to check on them, not even us his parents..

When he was in his previous University before he dropped out, this boy can go for months, that is a whole semester stretch without calling anybody to know how you're doing, except you call him or maybe he wants to ask for money for something or school stuff....

We have five children and he is the first, the second and third children are away in University, he and the two last siblings are the only one's with us.. My husband refused him from going to University in a far place instead he gives him transport money to be going to his own University from home everyday...... He and his father don't even talk again except good morning greetings. He is only 21 ohh..

Let me give you guys small back story so that you can understand how all these things started.

My son graduated from secondary school (a boarding school) in 2017 at 16 years old... Initially, he said he wanted to study computer science as he said that was the course he loved and wanted to study. But my husband refused and persuaded him to study pharmacy because he worked at NAFDAC and he saw the way pharmacy graduates were living at his work place and the salary they were recieving. He and one of his chemist friend sweet talked him into going to study the course and I guess it was because he was young then and could not challenge his dad then that was why he gave in....

He wrote JAMB but he did not meet the cut of mark for pharmacy (but I later realised his score was good for computer science then)... No public University was willing to admit him for pharmacy then because his score was not good for the course but due to my husband love for the course and not wanting my son to lose admission that year , he decided to go the way of private University not minding their school fees...Long story cut short, my son got admitted into Madonna University where we were paying 1M naira every year.....After 3 years in the school and in 300L @18 years old, he began saying he was not interested in the school any longer, that he was tired of the course, that he's body is no longer in the school and blablabla that he wants to go and play football in Europe...

He came back for holiday during the beginning of covid and refused to go back to the school when they resumed, saying that he was only wasting our money by being in that school and he did not want to continue.....This got my husband really sad and angry....My son stayed home for almost two years doing nothing because my husband was adamant that if he would not go back to school, nothing for him, that all the money he has spent for school fees in that school can not be for waste that he can become a footballer after he graduates, saying no one can become a successful footballer without being a graduate, that it would later affect them in life...

But my son refused. I must confess, my son is extremely good at playing football. That was the talent i can confidently say that God personally gave to him from birth. Infact when he was graduating from secondary school, they gave him the award for the best graduating footballer and he was always the centre of attention anytime he plays at our church events. He friends used to call him "nima" then, I think...

I and my husband got tired of him staying at home for long so I went to meet with one pastor in our street who was based in the UK with his family but comes home sometimes for church related matters. I explained my son's situation to him and he offered to help my son travel out to chase his football career provided we have the funds for it. The man was secondary school class mates with "victor ikpe ekong" who was a former super eagles player but currently a pastor in Sweden. To my greatest surprise he called him on a WhatsApp video call in my presence and i was really surprised...He gave me the man's phone number to keep in contact and also scheduled a day to meet with my husband and have a discussion.. I told my son and he was very happy..I also told my husband and he was eager to meet with him at least, anything to solve my sons idleness at the time..

The pastor came to my our house on several occasions and discussed with my husband. My husband kept telling the pastor, saying he would like my son to be going to school while chasing his football career at the same time, a feat which pastor let us know would be difficult as one has to be dropped for the other. Unfortunately, my husband changed he's mind and said he was no longer interested in the whole footballer thing. He said he knew that my son wanted to become a footballer only because of girls. That he, my son knew that if he becomes a footballer, all the girls would like him, that that was the only reason he wanted to become a footballer, and that if football was his true destiny, he doesn't need to travel out for it to manifest, that he can be in Nigeria and make it from here.....That was how that chapter close like that. Pastor left for England few months after.....

After years of my son staying at home, my husband got tired. One night, he hired some Street thugs to come take my son away and beat him up...my son stayed with them for 2 weeks. When he returned, he said he was ready to go back to school. But my husband told him he won't be going back to any private University again. My son wrote jamb again to study computer science and was admitted into COOU. but my said he would not allow him go to any University that is not in the same state we are residing. Now the problem here was that all the public schools in the state we are staying will not accept you to study computer science unless you did chemistry in jamb. And my son did not do chemistry in jamb because he is not good in chemistry. If he was to study in the same state we were staying, he had to settle for another course, which he did...Now another problem arose. My husband refused to rent an apartment for my son around the school because the school is considerably far from our house, instead he decided to be giving him money (2000) everyday as transport fare to be going from home. This did not sit down well with my the boy and he again, said he was no longer interested in schooling again sef that he can't be going such far distance from home to the school everyday to study a Course he does not even like siting that it would be stressful and affect his academics and that it was unwise to be paying 60k a year as school fees while you spend 2k everyday as transport..My husband got angry and called on our estate CSO to come pick him up. They beat him so badly in public that when he got back home later in the evening, I went to check him in his room, his buttocks and back where scarred and red with huge marks...

Ever since, he has been going to the school from home and he has become very distant from us especially his dad. They don't talk again in the same house except "good morning sir"...

My son has turned into something else. He can stay indoors from morning till night. I would have said he has started keeping bad company but he does not even have a single friend, not one..Nobody calls him, and he doesn't call anybody...I have five children and he is the first. The second and third already gained admission this year in a private University and are in school currently, so he and he's last two siblings are the only one's with us now..

Why I'm writing this is because I'm scared..I'm beginning to fear that my son might commit suicide, he's beginning to show that kind of attitude.. And the plans he have to leave us forever to go and stay alone, I don't like it ohhhh...

2 He has been reading useless impractical motivational books in his privacy.
3 .There is no time for parents -chikd discussion in your family!
4. You believe everything is about money and money is the solution to every problem. Yiu are solving one and craeting another with yiur poor parenting techhnique.
5 His seclusion life in school is affecting him greatly
6 Until the communication gap is closed between him and his father they will continue to hate each others
7 Children differ so parenting technique differs too .
8 Many people in schools have influnced him and his thinking.
9 With his strange behaviour now it is clear he is frustrated and feels isolated. Don't be surprised if he commits suicide (God forbids)

SC and AC are not the same on decision making! The only concern I have in the AC judgement are the rejection. Of IREV data which are the basisi of all the cases of election in 2023 elections and undue emphasis placed on voter register at the expense of the improved BVAS reports. SC will decide on it . Additionally it is the practice in the Nigeria that when a new government from other parties comes in people usually manipulate other elections that follow it. This does not justify irregularities at the Osun 2022 election where election ended at Ede axis at 10pm...At any rate litigation must end somewhere. In Nigeria it ends at the SC.Congratulations to the winner there!

My friend fathers was attacked in ogun state in his farm last week. The old man was marched with cutlass, it was only God that save his life. The matter was reported to the police and they came all the way from Abuja and said there’s nothing they can do.

Imagine in this tech era Nigeria police said there’s nothing they can do. He’s farm scattered, all his hard work for months destroyed and they still want to kill him just because he told them not allow their cow destroy his cassava farm.

Where re we going in this country. Nigeria is sitting on a time bomb and a lot of people don’t know

I can see why Ogun people voted against another Fulani as the president. Osun has not experienced issues like this and I don't pray they experience ithem. Nothing will be done to those behind the attack because it is a sensitive matter. The truth is:If an act like this had happened in Osun those who voted Atiku would think twice and use wisdom in their decision. I sympatise with Baba on this tragedy. God will heal you!I May God bless true sons of YORUBAS who did not vote for another Fulani again .I am happy a Yoruba man is the next president. Eyi ta seru to nile baba wa!
