I don't get this. Why are you dribbling around the issue?

Mhiki and Lingard were poor today, no argument.

Rooney was poor as well, you refused and Goal.com exposed you. So what are you still arguing about? Did I said Mhiki played well? Or Lingard played well? I tire for you.
You don't know what you are saying.

Rooney was rated higher by Goal.com. Go back to check the rating. Mkhitaryan and Lingard were on one star exactly.

The rating is for full time and he's below average for someone playing 90 mins.
There are ratings out there. The popular Goal.com scored Rooney higher than Mkhitaryan and Lingard.

You're missing the point. Mhiki and Lingard was useless, nobody dey say any less, the issues here is you rating Rooney high when he's just as useless as Mhiki and Lingard whole playing more minutes.
Rooney was one of the better players. Your hate for him has made you biased against him.

I didn't even rate the team at full time, so how do you mean I rated Rooney very high?

Like Sailor and I said, Mourinho will rue his decision if he sticks with Rooney. Rooney will get him sacked while Rooney takes unmerited glory as a good player.
If you go round fetching articles for each players, you will discover Mkhitaryan and Lingard would be blasted more, even though some English tabloid have a habit of blaming Rooney for United woes.

Rooney played better than Pogba today. Pogba is now the biggest name in the club. Remember. Rooney was one of the top players today.

You mean the same Kagawa that was our best player vs Bayern?

Kagawa never played as poor as Mkhi though.. Also, he was hardly given a chance to begin with. He started just 14 games under Moyes, most of the appearances came towards the end of the season when Moyes tumbled upon him and realised what's he's been missing and that he was too good to sit out.
True. Kagawa was never as poor as Mkhitaryan played today. Whether played in the wing or in midfield.

Even Cleverley, Fletcher, Hargreaves did jobs in the wings. I want to believe even if it were Jones who was asked to play in the wing today, he would have done far better than Mkhitaryan.

Mhiki was injured already, then playing on the wings was more burden too. This was why I blamed Mourinho for our failure.

Elampiro, I didn't say mhiki's wing, I said he plays better behind the striker. Didn't you watch our last match? He operated best from Rooney's position. What's there to argue about? As for your last paragraph, watching United match will show you that Mata constantly moves to midfield in all our matches, leaving Valencia to man the wings alone. Mata is not good in the wings. Van Goat caused all these nonsense. Then Rashford's case is not even worth debating if you think he's good in the wings.
Forget about his last match. He came on when out opposition packed the bus and we went all out. He was shocking today, irrespective of the position. He played like he has never played even elementary football.

From what I saw, except there is a miracle, Mkhitaryan would never bench Rooney in the current team. We probably have another Kagawa who would play well occasionally against some small teams.

You're wrong. You didn't understand me. I meant Lingard starting at the right wing where Rooney played in the second-half would have been better. He started at martial's position.

Rooney performed better than mhiki doesn't negate the fact that Rooney is playing on Mhiki's position. Mhiki can't play on the wings. He's useless there. Even Mata is on the wings coz of Rooney, so what did I type wrong there?
With what Mkhitaryan played today, even he played in the middle against kindergarten defenders he would have flopped. Moreover I was told by a Bundesliga follower that Mkhitaryan is better on the wing.

I didnt also understand what you mean by Mkhitaryan's wing, did you allocate wings to them in training?

Secondly, this was what you people kept saying about Mata, until he was given chance in the middle, he couldn't own it. Then you said same thing about Herrera, he also couldn't own the number 10 in the absence of Rooney in the second half of last season.

I wanted to watch the match till the end before giving my appraisal.

I'll start with the man that cost us the match - Mourinho.

Mourinho showed he didn't learn anything from van Goat's mistakes, I wonder what he's doing during his free periods. Doesn't he read the papers? Doesn't he read pundits' criticisms of United last season? He repeated all van Goat's mistakes. He went for the wrong players and played them out of positions. Same thing that made me hate van Goat. His first mistake was sticking with Rooney despite how useless he's been for 4 years now. Rooney has been this season and even against Slovakia, England fans complained and yet Mourinho stuck with him. Read this space, Mourinho will NEVER succeed if Rooney is a sure starter. He couldn't sub him and instead pushed Rushford to the wings and Mhiki too. Rooney is holding the success of Rashford, Mhiki and Mata, all by himself. What was Rooney doing at wings where Lingard ought to have started? And then removing Shaw and keeping quiet as United kept sending the ball in the air hoping for some useless luck during the ending stages. What happened to asking them to keep it a bit low? Mourinho killed this match. Enough said.

De Gea - good keeper. No doubts.
Valencia - simply our best player. A rare gem.
Bailly - was shaky, was also to be blamed for our first goal. He improved in the second-half but his first-half was all shades of wrong. But he wasn't helped with our poor midfield in the first-half. He needs to improve, a lot too.
Blind - I wasn't surprised, me and elampiro have stated it so many times that he's not a defender. If Mourinho can't find a place in the midfield for him, he'd be sold or benched. He's useless in the first-half.
Shaw - nothing spectacular but was defensively solid.
Fellani - was our only recognizable and competent midfielder, rooney and Pogba were too useless.
Pogba - flop of the match. He's only good with a good DM like Kante to sit back and mop his mistakes. Waste of money.
Rooney - total failure. Only positive thing is his fighting spirit.
Lingard and Mhiki - played out of position. Mourinho to be blamed.
Ibra - our best striker. Derived of any helping hand up front no thanks to Mourinho benching Rashford.
Rashford - has great potential and one helluva of a striker but Mourinho keeps wasting his talent. I saw it coming with Ibra's punchase.

On Man Shitty, Guardiola is a good coach, take away the hate and you'd see that. He has his philosophies but it requires the right players to implement. He'd be winner with another side but he might not succeed with City's current side. The City side is not good enough to implement his visions consistently. I see City improving to a great force if all Guardiola's ideas are properly mastered.

Sane, Stones and Bravo - are all frauds though. With this match we can lay to rest that Guardiola doesn't defend. It's a lie. The truth is a coach will defend or attack depending on his players. City is no Barca so expect defensive games in some matches.

The only positive thing for me is that this is not a title deciding match. So both coaches have all the time to improve their squad's style of play.
Your criticism of Rooney showed that you didn't watch the match.

You said what was Rooney doing on the wing when Lingard ought to have started. Mr Man, Lingard started and Rooney didnt start from the wing.

Secondly, you said Rooney is blocking Rashford, Mkhitaryan and Mata. But Rooney far performed Mkhitaryan today. Even Opabunmi would have done far better than Mkhitaryan today.

E be like say you don already program your brain to always criticize Rooney.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 2:50pm On Sep 10, 2016
We will get better once Mourinho get used to his players. The mistake today was his attempt to play runners, those who can carry the ball from the deep and run (Lingard and Mkhitaryan) but they were tamed. Lingard was even playing on the wrong side.

The second thing is our defence played too deep such that there was a big gap between the defence and the attack. Blind has the brain and the pass but he would always be exposed by good and fast forwards.

Pogba played for himself today.

I have already told myself that I would take any result today. City has had a more stable team than us.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 1:32pm On Sep 10, 2016
Rooney, Valencia, Shaw, Pogba are the only players doing well so far.

Ibrahimovic should have equalised if he were composed in the last minute.

Mkhitaryan's performance is poor and shocking. He loses virtually everything that comes his way.

I keep saying Blind is not a defender.

But if u come to Edo state, you'll know that Ize Iyamu can't win more than 6 local government areas. On this election postponement, there's more to it than meets the eye. We came from 8 woeful years rule of 'governor do nothing', Igbinedion, to 8 great years of performance by Oshiomhole. We cannot afford to hand over this state to PDP now, particularly as Chief Gabriel Igbinedion still controlling the PDP candidate.

You'd think being educated translates to being well informed. Unfortunately the first doesn't guarantee the later.
Anyone who keeps saying we should stop blaming GEJ is being economical with the truth. The truth is GEJ wrecked Nigeria with his handling of the economy. He didn't have to blame anyone before him because NO ONE ELSE had been so clueless, dull and Ineffectual as himself.

If we still have any truly sane man doubting that Nigeria would have been long grounded had GEJ managed to rig himself in, such person needs to be constantly reminded where the Ineffectual Buffoon left us:
1. The IB was already borrowing to pay salaries when crude was selling at $75 per barrel. At $40 per barrel, what miracle will he have done?

2. The paper Economist, who supervised crashing of the economy clearly stated that Nigerians should brace up for tough times ahead the moment crude fell to around $65 per barrel. Does tough times mean merry making times at $40 per barrel?

3. Despite earning unprecedented amounts from crude, the IB couldn't grow our reserves but even embezzled what he met.

4. About 28 of 36 States were owing their workers for up to eight months in some cases and there was already hunger in the land. Why didn't GEJ bail them out? Had Buhari not come to intervene just about three months into his tenure, what would have happened to those workers then?

Recently, the Gele woman who couldn't choose to resign to protect her name, revealed in a well publicized video that GEJ had zero will to save. Where there's shame, she will apologize to Nigerians for wasting our resources in times of abundance.

Nigerians indeed lack capacity for critical thinking. And it's the reason we will continue to be taken for a ride by the looters. We see those who genuinely are working for our betterment as enemies while blindly praising the real enemies as benefactors just because of crumbs of today. This is indeed very shameful!
It was even at $75 per barrel of oil that Iweala shouted that Nigerians should brace up for hard times.

Economic crisis: Angolan president sacks finance minister

On September 5, 2016

Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos on Monday sacked his finance minister Armando Manuel, the presidency announced, as the country battles an economic crisis caused by sinking oil prices.

No reason was given for the dismissal of the 44-year-old London-educated minister who has held the post for three years.
He has been replaced by Augusto Archer de Sousa Mangueira, 53, who was chairman of the country’s Capital Markets Commission prior to the new appointment.

The new minister takes over of struggling economy which has slumped mainly due to the steep drop in crude oil prices.

The country’s currency, the kwanza, has lost more than 60 percent of its value against the dollar since the start of last year.

Economic growth in Africa’s leading crude producer, which soared to over 20 percent in 2007, has collapsed to less than two percent.

About 40 percent of the population now lives below the poverty line.

In June, Angola called off talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) over a possible loan to ease the current troubles.
Dos Santos also removed the minister of agriculture Afonso Pedro Canga and cabinet chief of staff Edeltrudes Maurício Fernandes Gaspar da Costa.
