The annoying part is the energy they are trying to forced themselves on Akwa ibom instead of looking for their biafra
I'm tired of their antics... I mean can everybody just stay where they belong.. I personally don't have a problem with Biafra. they have the right to self actualization but forcing people or trying to claim people ancestry heritage is an insult and that's what I hate

Finally ,no need for map.

Move Abia and her proximity away from Akwaibom maybe you can add Ekiti or ogun state there, then you can have peace.

As far there exist Ibibio speakers in Abia state, there also exist Igbo speakers in Akwaibom all in minority status.

Thank you.
it hurts we people come online to claim experts on topic they have no idea about. there are no indigenous ibibio speakers in Igbo and vice versa. Maybe through marriage and other issues they may have more across border but they are not indigents. Also for your education... every part of Akwa that shares boundary with an Igbo land speaks Annang not Ibibio

Eastern Obolo speaks Andoni... Yes their language mixes ibibio and Igbo, same with, Ika, and border towns... But no state here speaks igbo as their main language non.
No L.G.A in Akwa Ibom mix Igbo with their language. if you knew were Eastern Obolo and Ikot Abasi are, you'll know they are the least likely to speak Igbo language.

Thank God the son of the soil are gradually coming out to claim their lands from grabbers.

I’ve always wondered where all the SS’ners guys are on this forum. Coz it seems most of you already identified with the tag “we Igbos”.

One of those guys claimed the Igbo is part of the major languages in Akwa Ibom, I had to challenge him which made the OP to also join the discussion before the OP created this thread.
I saw the initial post but I didn't read it or give much thought to it until this one. the Ukwa East the other guy mentioned is the boundary between Akwa Ibom and Abia state and they don't speak annang. they understand it to some extent because of business dealings done between the people there but they don't speak annang as their dialect. that's like saying badagry is a French speaking area because it shares boundary with Cotonou
PoliticsRe: There Are No Igbo Speaking Tribes In Akwa Ibom. by emae009(m): 11:45pm On Oct 01, 2019
there are no indigenous Igbo whether fringe or pinch in Akwa Ibom. Akwa Ibom has many languages and Igbo is not one of them... the language map or whatever that shenanigan is, is obviously a big lie.. the two major languages in Akwa Ibom are ibibio and annang yet on your "map" almost all L.G.A is ibibio??... please stop dragging Akwa Ibom to Igbo. we're independent on our own. thank you

we cannot rationally justify other people spending base on our own conviction. Yes some borrow to buy the latest gadgets and other luxuries but if that's what brings them fulfillment then it's justified. Our sole aim in life on a larger scale is self fulfillment as long as it doesn't come at other's expense

When fighting for a cause bro empathy is not to be considered. South Africans burn down buildings owned by their brothers just because they are tired of foreigners. Can you eat your cake and have it. You are ready to pass a message this delicate to foreign investors and you talk about people who have jobs, which is more important the lives of foreigners or the jobs of those of us herehuh Other countries are doing same don’t you see that is the ink approach? The government should be proactive next time. You don’t blame the mob for taking advantage of the sluggish and incompetence attitude of the government towards the whole incident. Thugs, touts and urchins don’t know or care who owns what, they just want to rob and blame them not it all falls back to a bad economy. We shouldn’t worry about the symptoms rather we should attach importance to to the disease. The government is the latter while the mob is the former and the former shows when you have the latter which is the government. #FIXTHEDISEASE
sometimes you make sense other times you don't. So when you burn down MTN, SHOPRITE & MULTICHOICE the government will suddenly change like the National assembly will stop collecting fat cheques or the government will stop collecting kickbacks from contract they award because you burn down buildings? Worst case scenario they'll jail the people that spearhead the destruction of these properties or look for something else to divert the attention of the youths. When other countries wanted a change in government they didn't burn down people's business. the grab the government by the loin

Xenophobia Morning Brief

So, Nigerians have been attacking stores owned by South Africans in Nigeria and people are attacking them for it.

While these acts should be condemned, the narrative that Nigerians own these South African companies under franchise is an absolute lie.

Shoprite

The South African chain store is owned 100% by South Africa parent company and does not have any Nigerian as owner. What they do is approach the owner of a Mall (like Ikeja city Mall) and rent a space for their products. These products are sourced from local suppliers and foreign suppliers. However, once a local supplier delivers the goods to Shoprite, Shoprite is responsible for the safety of the goods and MUST pay the supplier should anything happen to the goods. So Nigerians are not affected.

However, the entire Mall is not owned by Shoprite, just the Shoprite store in the Mall.

MTN Nigeria

MTN Nigeria is not owned by Nigerians in whole. In fact, 85% of MTN Nigeria is directly owned by the South African company. MTN parent company own 76% while Stanbic IBTC (also South African) own 9%. The remaining are shared across many other organizations, including MTN cooperative society.

When MTN listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the shareholders refused to let go of their shares for public purchase.

DSTV Nigeria

DSTV Nigeria is a franchise owned by Mr. Ogunsanya of Multichoice. However, all revenues of the company go to South Africa while DSTV Nigeria only submits quarterly budgets to run the DSTV Nigeria to South Africa. The only way DSTV Nigeria gets paid is in the area of selling decoders, dish installation and others.

This is not to promote violent but merely a piece of information.
you clearly like beating around the bush. First SHOPRITE buys from local suppliers. when you shutdown SHOPRITE what happens to the local suppliers?? SHOPRITE exist in other African countries. Secondly, you shutdown MTN Nigeria. what happens to their Nigerian workers and those that have affiliate business with them?? MTN still exist in other African countries. Thirdly, MULTICHOICE is shutdown, what happens to their Nigerian workers and those with affiliate business with them? these are all Nigerians that you'll be making to suffer because you're defending Nigerians. if you don't see the irony in this I can't help it anymore. you're fighting for your brother by killing your brother.

I now understand you don’t even care about the lame man who doesn’t have an idea of how the relationship works. Let’s talk like grassroots Nigerians. The average uneducated tout doesn’t care about all what you are saying. They have killed Nigerians and you say we should talk about WAR. You remember what happened during Obasanjo a tenured with Zambia when some soldiers were killed. You know how they apologized immediately after obj took actions. Brother, the violent has to take it by force. There are times the approach as to be physical. MTN Nigeria or south Africa, MTN is a SA company UBA UK is a Nigerian company take it or leave it. I don’t care about how it affects us but let a message Be passed that we are not fools and We are capable of bringing out the worst if need be.
bro you funny. I don't care about the layman but you're the one that's advocating that their source of livelihood be shutdown all in the name of retaliation. how do you contradict yourself and not see it?? how??

Are you even serious? The president sent envoy that will get to South Africa on Thursday for a 6 hr destination for an issue that involves lives of citizens. Can you even hear yourself, do you know how much security the Nigerian govt has deployed to the embassy. Other African countries such as Rwanda, malawi, even Congo have taken drastic steps by cutting tides with SA and you are there sending envoys. Whatever happened to our government Expelling South African Ambassador, Recall Nigeria High commissioner to South Africa,Stop repatriation of profits/ Funds to South Africa by MTN,STANBIC, SHOPRITE and other South African business concern in Nigeria,Suspend landing right granted South Africa Airways to Lagos and Abuja,Stop all importations coming from South Africa, suspend consular/immigration service's to all South Africans living in Nigeria.
I can bet with my life that Ramaphosa or whatever their President is called will be here within one week and when he comes make him sign a treaty before all those are restored.Nigeria need to start wielding that super power,we are not big for nothing,we have all it takes to deal with countries like theirs.
Nonsense.
you haven't answered my one question. how do you stop a business from sharing it's profit. No foreign company can operate in Nigeria. Every foreign companies must have a Nigerian base. The MTN your talking about is MTN Nigeria. it doesn't concern South Africans it affects Nigeria. your solution to the problem is saying cut your hand because you broke it in an accident. you're only hurting yourself. Do you know how many bilateral agreement Nigeria has with South Africa? Recalling your ambassador and sending the High Commissioner of South Africa away is seen as a declaration of war.
Calm down your anger and think about the common Nigerians you're actions is going to hurt. Your current course of actions may or may not lead to war and nobody wins in war

Are the citizens supposed to be the ones to find a solution? Since we have a govt who has refused to care for us this is what happens. If the governor won’t solve problems legally, the citizens will do illegally. Has your President said anything about it? Is this the first time no? Will it stop now? No this is just the first time Nigeria will respond and we are here criticizing ourselves. Proffer a solution, I already did kindly suggest and please don’t mention thengovt because I fit swear for you
Smh... the President just tweeted he has dispatched an envoy to SA. the people in Government at different levels are speaking about it publicly even letting AU know about it. Before I say something let me ask you this one question. if it was your relative that owned or worked with these companies, would you have lead the line for their business to be destroyed??
SA has embassy in Nigeria why not start there. you feel the government is taking too long why not go to their place of work like the National Assembly or Government houses and start there. The government will still get paid at the end of the day but a common Nigerian whose owned or worked with these companies won't be getting paid to take care of his bills. Who are you really hurting at the end??

To every one who doesn’t support this lootings just like South Africans do, kinky proffer a solution and please don’t say we should wait for the government because they have failed us and won’t do shit. Now the South Africans know that there investment has been affected because no one will want to dare be under there franchise now inturn affecting them here in Nigeria. A message has been passed across however. We are not ready to lose but we do want change, how’s that possible?
these franchises are owned by South Africans? MTN is owned by a South African but majority of MTN Nigeria stakeholders are Nigerians. when you destroy MTN Nigeria properties it's Nigerians that suffer, South Africans won't feel the hurt. Another example if Ghanaians were to destroy GLO Ghana, please explain to me how it'll affect you if you don't own a share there??

Africans and shooting ourselves in the foot. what is really our problem. Our "damn the consequences" attitude needs to be checkmate. Let's say MTN, MULTICHOICE & SHOPRITE is shutdown what then happens to the common Nigerians in Nigeria that are dependent on these companies for their daily breadhuh In the end we always end up hurting ourselves. The Government needs to take drastic actions? yes but shutting down these companies isn't and will never be the right way to go

asking people to cut off their MTN sim cards or to stop watching DSTV or stop shopping at Shoprite is not and will not be the right thing to do. First off, these companies are employers of labor in the Nigerian market also. Think of the number of people and businesses that'll be affect if MTN and DSTV decide to leave Nigeria.

I'm tired of seeing this all over the internet... please how's the Nigerian government connected to this. the police just said the order came from the state command . so what you're trying to say is that the executive, legislative and the judiciary arms of government in Nigeria just sat down or did a conference call and decided to shut down a birthday party venue
