He didn't show his bank statements, I used my bank statements, and I mentioned the date and time of the lump sum transfer in the LOE and cover letter.
timmiezone:
Congratulations...

Did your spouse have to provide his bank account statement? Or what document did he have to show for the transfer to you?

Thanks.

No previous travel history, no visa refusal and no Canadian degree.
futureenergy:
Huge congratulations! Quite fast. I guess there was no ADR.
Pls do you have previous travel history, valid visas or denials? Canadian degree?

To God be the glory, COPR and Stamped passports at hand
Walks in with the COPR Dance
Timeline
ITA- January 24th
AOR- March 27th
PPR- May 17th
PP submission - May 22nd
PUM- June 20th
COPR- June 25th
Principal Applicant (plus 2 Dependents)
CRS- 466
NOC 3112
I have learnt so much from this forum so i promised myself i was gonna give back to this forum.I met this forum when it was in Part 1 around page 660, and I read the whole of part 1,2 ,3, and am still partially reading thread 4

ECA :- Done via MCC (Timeline 4month 10days). For more information on MCC ECA process read vcole's or Ugoiykes post.
Spouse ECA via WES (still in progress for 10months, all thanks to our Nigerian school system)

IELTS: PA LRWS 9,7.5,7.5,7 (2nd attempt)
Spouse ielts LRWS 7,7,7,7 (1st and only attempt) equivalent of 18/20.

WORK EXPERIENCE : Combined 4 reference letters ONLY to claim 3years plus work experience (no pay slip, or any other documents).
Claimed work experience with my housemanship/paid internship, pre nysc work, PPA (nysc), post nysc work .
Note: All in the same NOC
I had to do a cover letter like this, for example
Job A Jan 2014 to Feb 2015 = 1year 1month
Job B Feb 2015 to June 2015 = 5month
Job C July 2015 to August 2016=1 year 1month
Job D. .................,,
Cover letter was important because my work experience became 3years and 3weeks the day I got ITA, plus I was combining 4 reference letters

PROOF Of FUNDS: I got 100percent of pof from spouse post ITA and I did a fixed deposit of it, then I had some cash in Joint account which I also used. So I submitted Cover letter of lump sum, table of pof, fixed deposit certificate,6months bank statements, joint account statement, Oando printout of currency conversion on the day of submission.

Digital photo: In the village where I stay, we don't have studio 24. So i was always describing and drawing out the picture size and dimension for the photographers , some photographers will tell me don't worry, they know how to do it , when the picture comes out it will be a disaster. Because i usually carry my Ruler to studio and measure the work by myself, I ended up rejecting 2 sets of pictures from 2 photographers before I got the right one. Change of name: Affidavit from court and court Marriage certificate only

Proof of mariage: court marriage certificate only.
Medicals and pcc: pretty straightforward
LOE: Submitted Loe for lump sum and work experience
Note: My loe was the same thing with cover letter

Try and work on your LinkedIn profile and all other social media profile, even before entering the pool (I learnt all these from nairaland). Because during the period i submitted my application, my spouse and I were viewed on private modes in LinkedIn. Anyway I was waiting for ircc sef (smiles). IRCC use these medium to verify work experience.

Please newbies try and read from the beginning of each thread you meet, before you even get to page 300, u will be speaking like an immigration Consultant(this will happen if you read the thread well).

No matter how good you are in this express entry process, have a mentor(someone who have successfully gone through the process) who will help you confirm that you have submitted the right documents in the right placeholder or you are not missing anything out.

Special thanks to Ugoiyke who was my mentor in these whole process, thank you derel for being my friend. To all the lovely people in the house like Glitteringstar and everyone who answers questions. May God bless you all.

Please feel free to ask your questions in this forum, u will definitely get help here plus a lot of silent readers and semi silent readers learn from your questions. Thank you God for making my dreams come true. Thanks everyone, I love you all.

I submitted 22nd of May at VFS lekki office, my cic account just got changed to background check completed, and your application was approved this evening. So check your cic account.
Saintp:
Is there anyone who submitted their passport to VFS Lekki on 22nd May or that week that has received their passport and COPR back?
This is 21 days no update and I initially thought it is a 14 day process.

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by emelueobi(f): 8:07pm On May 25, 2018
If you have masters evaluate that only, but if you have BSc with either Ond or HND (evaluate the BSc and OND/HND or OND and HND).
I used my nysc to claim work experience, I got reference letter from my PPA in CiC format.

dyonpoint:
Good evening family, please i need clarification on the 2 certificates matter.

Does B.Sc and M.Sc (same field) count as 2 certificates or 2 degree

or

B.Sc/M.Sc and Diploma/B.Sc etc (in another field)

Please which of these combined counts as 2 certificates and give extra points?

Also, i read on the thread some days back that NYSC can be used as work experience. Please, I wish for more details on this too.

Thanks

My VFS EXPERIENCE (Long post alert)
Address :Manor Hall, Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way,
Opposite Treasure Garden Estate,
Third Roundabout, Lekki Phase I – Lagos

When you get to third round about at lekki phase 1(I think itis called ikati), you cross over to left side of the road, and enter the street . The VFS building is a brown building (the outside is usually crowded), u need to show your international passport before you enter
Make sure you withdraw cash and do all your photocopies (ppr letter, 2 passport photographs, 2 biodata page of international passport, international passports, cash) before you get to the office

You will be searched by the guard at the entrance and asked to drop your bags at the business centre (you will pay N200 for dropping your bag). U will only carry all the documents you need plus your phone.
Then you will follow the stairs that is close to the vfs entrance and go upstairs (first floor)
It is the last door, there is a lady at the door tell her you are for passport submission and show her your ppr letter (printed from your email).
Note: A lot of staffs including the security officers don't even have the right information some of them will tell you to queue with people doing biometrics, if you don't ask questions you will be in the wrong queue for hours
You will be in a room filled with people, some for biometrics others for pp submission(u might be given a number or you ask for the last person on the queue)

Then follow the queue till it gets to your turn to meet the attendant who will take all your documents and put it in a red folder and write the price to pay on one of your photocopies
14350 each for passport transmission fee
8,060 each for courier fee (Na this one pain me pass). They are always trying to discover ways of making money from somebody.
I was like these 3 passports are coming to the same address, the attendant says he is not the one who makes the rules.I was actually pissed off, because I had already calculated the money I needed from home (N51,050 and not 67,230 this young man was calling for me)
So the courier fee for my family of 3 was 8,060 X 3= N24,180
I had to go downstairs with my passports (front of the building to withdraw more money), luckily for me the queue wasn't long at the atm.
Withdrew the money, came back upstairs and stayed in a longer queue waiting to pay in the bank (the vfs Canada Office has its bank where payments are made)

After I made payment I got a receipt, and was directed to counter 8 for submission, lo and behold there was a very long queue again for submission, the lady in counter 8 gave me a number. I was number 27. I waited for hours till it got to my turn.then I gave my receipt with my red folder containing all the documents. She inputed the information on her computer, and at the end gave me a receipt or acknowledgement paper containing tracking number for each family members. And told me I will be duly informed when the passport is ready. I asked her when do you think it will be ready she said in the next 2 weeks
So I left after spending 6hours at the office ( I went there on a Tuesday 22/05/18, a day before it was a public holiday, I guess that's why the place was crowded than usual).
Sorry for the long post, I just believe some one might benefit from my experience.

Some of them claim that they are running away from Boko Haram, others claim to be homosexuals or bisexuals, while some claim that people or the community is forcing their daughter to undergo female genital mutilation, while some others are being forced into marriages with older men or people that they don't love. The stories are endless.

Are they fleeing boko haram? Otherwise they are making things tricky for us and they don't even know it. A year in limbo is not too much to investigate an asylum seekers claim.
I paid for my MCC ECA 15th December 2017 and I received my e-copy January 2nd. I believe the festive season delayed the processing of my electronic copy, some people get their own within 7 working days.

Please For those who assessed their edication credential with MCC, How long after making payment for ECA does one get an electronic copy?
@Lucious477 or anybody in the house--- please which of the MS software did you use to resize your passport.? I want to resize my passport too, but i don't know which application to use. Thanks

6. Passport photos = We took our final printed photos (50x70mm) from "Study 24" ahead of time. I scanned and resized it to the required specification (35x45mm) (using MS software) and used it for Post ITA submission.
Thanks

It is best you book an appointment (call with the phone number on CIC site). It is done from Monday to Saturday, although you'll pay an extra N10,000 if done on a Saturday (they close early on Sat, I think 1pm).

Adults - N30,000
Children above 5 - N20,000
Children below 5 - N15,000

They have a POS.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by emelueobi(f): 8:14am On Jan 10, 2018
@Homguy- please be careful with your information, a lot of medical doctors have used their paid internship as work experience and they have gotten copr. CIC only requires that the work experience is paid, and is in either NOC O,A or B.
NOTE: Unpaid work and volunteer work doesn't count as work experience (according to cic website).

Any work experience where you are supervised does not count. Whether paid or unpaid.
This is one reason people in the medical profession cannot quote their highly paid internships as a work experience.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by emelueobi(f): 2:10am On Jan 10, 2018
Yes you can start ECA now, and write ielts close to the time you want to enter pool

hello people. . a quick confirmation please. .

ECA is valid for 5yrs right?

just wondering if it's advisable for someone intending to apply for the EE next year to start credentials evaluation now?
Remove the comma (e.g 26,000) and just input 26000. It will go through

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by emelueobi(f): 11:51am On Jan 04, 2018
Don't give up, don't let it affect the remaining aspect of your exams. Just pray about it and be hopeful. My speaking test was also terrible, I spoke for 1 minute in part 2 and my part 3 was so difficult, I didn't even understand the questions and questions were on areas I had little or no knowledge about, I just mumbled few words. And when my speaking test was over I immediately ran out of the room. I felt terrible about the test, and I really prayed about it, I still prepared for LRW. And to God be the glory I passed all components of the exam, I got a 7 in speaking.

Please what can I do to raise my morale?

1st attempt (July) - LRWS - 7.5,9, 7.5, 8
2nd attempt (Nov)- LRWS - 8.5, 8.5, 6.5, 7.5

For 2nd Attempt: I Requested for EOR in RWS. None was upgraded (lost 15k) cry cry

3rd attempt (Jan) - Had my speaking this week - Messed up big time!!!! embarassed cry cry

I presently feel so depressed and demoralized.

With IELTS score of LRWS-8,7,7,7........................ITA would fall on me immediately wink, but achieving this appear impossible #Makeigobegmyvillagepeople grin
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by emelueobi(f): 12:31pm On Jan 02, 2018
I don't know o, am just guessing, may be your work experience increased from 2years to 3years this January(making you to have the additional 25marks).

I have been in the pool at 436 since Dec 1 last year, waiting for hubby's ECA, only for me to check my profile this new year and its at a whopping 461!!! shocked shocked Please what could be the cause of this? I do not know whether to rejoice or not. I do not understand this thing o. Make person no come get ITA with fake CRS score. Abeg Epp!
