PoliticsRe: How Did Tinubu Become So Powerful? by emiye(m): 9:17pm On Apr 02, 2013
Afam4eva:
Let me engage you guys...

Apart from Oshiomole, the governors in ACN were relative nonentities before they emerged as the governor of their respective states. Most of had little or not political clout before been picked by Tinubu to tule their states, so they owe him that much. Let Tinubu try and field a popular candidate like Jimi Agbaje and see what happens to his relevance. The only way Tinubu can remain relevant is to field people with no political relevance and make them indebted to him.
You are yawning dust ! What clout did Jimi Agbaje have as a politician ?,he was at best known as just a pharmacist until 2007 elections when he marshalled out his plans for Lagos state at his campaigns, and it sounded good to many lagosians but he came out on a wrong platform, a DPA party.

Oshiomole was known as a labour leader and not a politician, until 2007 when he emerged as the gubernatorial candiditate of Labour Party, he later switched to a stronger platform in form of the ACN .

Fashola was chief of staff of the Tinubu for 8 solid years, a Senior Advocate of NIgeria.

Akeredolu was a well respected NBA president, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Ajimobi was a successful technocrat who reached the peak of his professional career, a one time senator. in actual fact he was rigged out by the Adedibus in the 2007 Oyo state gubernatorial elections.

Amosun nko? a one time senator, and strong enough to challenge Gbenga daniel in 2007, where he was rigged out by PDP.

What nonsense are you still yawning?

Afam4eva: Tinubu won't make the mistake of putting someone that will usurp him. He puts relative nonentities there with low self-esteem who will remain loyal to him for a very long time. Word even has it that he'll most likely keep it in the family in 2015.
You mean individuals like Fashola(SAN), Oshiomole, Ajimobi, Akeredolu(SAN). Aregbesola are relative nonenties with low self esteem?
You are talking balderdash ! May be you are referring to Obasanjo or Adedibu.
PoliticsRe: How Did Tinubu Become So Powerful? by emiye(m): 7:27pm On Apr 02, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: "his ACN currently"

So you agree with those who call ACN Tinubu's property?
That is why I call it imaginary powers. When more former governors and new generation of ACN governors emerge, there'll be internal power play within the party that'll dislodge that imaginary powers.
his ACN simply means his party affiliation, what yeye meaning are you reading in to it ?
PoliticsRe: How Did Tinubu Become So Powerful? by emiye(m):
Sincere 9gerian: "most powerful force"?

"Most powerful force" for your mind na. And how did he deploy that power at the last Ondo elections?

POINT OF CORRECTION: power belongs to the people.

Just to digress a bit, as at today, in terms being powerful in that context, even Oshiomole is more powerful than Tinubu.

Even with all the noise by Tinubu and his gang of ACN in the southwest, former president Yar Adua manipulated the 2009 Ekiti re-run gubernatorial election in favour of PDP. What did the all "powerful" Tinubu do about that? At the same time, former president Yar Adua, recognising how powerful Oshiomole was, assisted Oshiomole to retrieve his stolen mandate through the tribunal.
Where is the PDP Governor who was manipulated in as the Ekiti Governor ? He was booted out via the tribunal in 2010.
Tinubu is a bridge builder, his ACN currently has elective positions in all SW , SS, SE, NC, NE and NW regions.
PoliticsRe: How Did Tinubu Become So Powerful? by emiye(m): 6:52pm On Apr 02, 2013
he is not the cleanest of politician around in the SW, but he has got Foresight !, this makes him different from many other politicians.

When you can see the future from the present, you can simply take actions today that will influence the future.

I see him as a reasonable and intelligent man, but a dictator.

malc619: Your comment is‎ bereft of logic, common sense and objectivity.

Were you asleep when Enugu State officials claimed that Chime handed over properly and there was no breakdown in the system??

Who told you there's nothing to show for in Kano?? Do you live there??

It hurts you that a state with security challenges has showed more fiscal responsibility than the so-called "Pride of the East".. JEALOUSY!!!

Pls if you have nothing sensible to say, don't post on this thread!!!

cool. cool.
She is referring to Bayelsa state and not Kano state.

PoliticsRe: The African Economic Revolution by emiye(m): 7:51pm On Apr 01, 2013
Hmmmm, lot to learn here oooo, i believe Agricultural Revolution is central to Africa's Economic Revolution BUT, there is a possibility of market failure in nigeria's / Africa's agriculture, if we continue to allow imported foods from the western countries, as farmers over there are heavily subsidised by their governments, meaning food is cheaper than the value of production and they will dump those relatively cheap food in to African countries.
RomanceRe: Can Someone Be In Love With Two Persons At The Same Time ? by emiye(m): 5:28pm On Apr 01, 2013
Share holder things, of the 100% love she has got, you possibly own more than 50% at the moment. Make no mistake, the tide could change any time, your swags is tighter and you have overwhelmed her with it, what she feels for you is not long lasting. I Opine that what she feels for her ex is deeper, and she would be back in his arms sooner.

For me, once i know a girl is in a committed relationship, i back off, except i sense her current relationship is not fulfilling, only then will i go for the kill.

anonimi: They told him to post it on April 1 - April Fools day.
It seems he was in a haste to collect his commission for each NL post from his oga at the top in the Association of Conmen in Nigeria (ACN)
Don't be surprised if he opens a thread tomorrow as he was instructed with the same story. grin
Sincerely, you do a very bad job trying to defend PDP. All you do is whip up emotions, and run away from facts.
PoliticsRe: 12 Amazing Facts About Southeastern Nigeria by emiye(m): 1:21pm On Mar 31, 2013
donroxy: U re wrong in ur above narration within Nigeria context....... If there is Southeast Nigeria, there would be Southsouth Nigeria.........

Eastern Nigeria should not imply the same thing as South-east Nigeria.....

Eastern Nigeria implies East Axis of Nigeria !!!!

When u divide Southern Nigeria again, the East Axis of Southern Nigeria equals South-East Nigeria....

Which kain Geographical knowledge equates SouthEast Nigeria to Eastern Nigeria.............?

Eastern Nigeria is more than IGBO.......while SouthEast Nigeria is predominantly IGBO........ezeagu,na other ethnic glory u dey allude to ur people oo grin

Ezeagu, u re WRONG.......!!!
Thanks, your submission is what i reason with. The OP has failed to define the scope of south eastern nigeria, possibly his motive of starting the thread is wrong. But sincerely, some knowledge has been gained, but facts must be straightforward and unbiased.
PoliticsRe: Olusegun Obasanjo vs Goodluck Jonathan by emiye(m): 9:48am On Mar 31, 2013
It is the same story, a continuos cycle of sweet tales, but no remarkable impact. I remember the third term campaigners for him in 2006, they were better of in trying to sell Obj than some mumu trying to sell GEJ here

PoliticsRe: 12 Amazing Facts About Southeastern Nigeria by emiye(m): 8:21pm On Mar 30, 2013
ezeagu: You didn't know cardinal points are widely accepted and be whom? So cardinal points are relative now? Why would I or anyone be upset with you placing Benue in southeastern Nigeria? At least if I have an objection to that I can use actual geographical features like the climate and topography to back it up. But I don't, so do you have any interesting Benue facts to add to the list?
Ok, i get your view, but i initially thought your focus was on igbos. but i still feel you have failed to define the scope of south eastern nigeria.
PoliticsRe: 12 Amazing Facts About Southeastern Nigeria by emiye(m): 7:52pm On Mar 30, 2013
ezeagu: Sorry, I was talking about normal-widely accepted sane peoples geography.
widely accepted by whom? those classification can be relative, except one stick to the one defined and recognised in the constitution of the country, If you look at the map, i can as well classify Benue state under "South Eastern" Nigeria,

PoliticsRe: 12 Amazing Facts About Southeastern Nigeria by emiye(m): 7:33pm On Mar 30, 2013
ezeagu: Simple common knowledge of geography would tell you that Calabar is in the eastern portion of the south of Nigeria. Common knowledge. There is no such thing as a "south-south" on a compass, just like "east-east", "north-north", and "west-west" are nonsensical and nonexistent in civilised societies.
When you talk of Nigeria, the word South East simply refers to 5 states, Imo,Anambra,Ebonyi,Enugu and Abia states.

Geo-political zones - South west, South-South, South East, North West, North East and North Central
PoliticsRe: 12 Amazing Facts About Southeastern Nigeria by emiye(m): 7:21pm On Mar 30, 2013
your no 11 & 12 fact is faulty, Calabar is not located in the south east, also, the gorillas are in cross river , south-south region of nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Benin City Reborn! by emiye(m): 6:16pm On Mar 30, 2013
PapaBrowne: I totally disagree with you. Fayemi and Aregbeshola have been in power close to 3 years already and there are no major signs of improvement in Ekiti and Osun States as you can see in Lagos and Edo.

On the other hand PDP has produced some of the most AmAzing Governors. Visit Enugu state and see what Chime has done there. Visit Rivers ans see Ameachi's imprint especially in Education. Visit Cross River and see what Duke did there.

To be fair, its not about parties. Its about individuals. Oshiomole is a quality individual and that quality would reflect in his works.
Mr spin and sell, so out of the 23 PDP governors in the country, it is only that few you can mention, in fact you had to borrow Duke, who stopped being a governor of cross river 6 years ago.

The ACN governors have all shown, there can be a positive force & positive peer pressure from a party on an individual to perform.

Even an Igbenedion might not have been an absolute disaster if he was an ACN governor, although ACN will never have field such a candidate.

The Osun state and Ekiti state have also witnessed development commensurate with the 2years and 4 months they have been there and their fiscal strengths.
FamilyRe: Can You Allow Tribal Marks On Your Kid. by emiye(m):
i think the op means "facial tribal marks"

There is barely any difference in tribal marks and tattoos. It is just present day perception.

Who can have facial tattoos ?

This is a tattooed face presidential candidate in Czech republic in 2013 elections

FamilyRe: Can You Allow Tribal Marks On Your Kid. by emiye(m): 4:15pm On Mar 30, 2013
@OP, NEVER, i never saw any of that in my traceable lineage.

It is a fading culture, i believe in the next 20 years, no one will ever place tribal marks on a face.

If you have anything related to the thread from Ajimobi's one year anniversary, please post the extract here.
The government site is there , you can see the projects within the 5 zones in the state. www.oyostate.gov.ng

http://www.oyostate.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/The_Journey_So_Far_Ajimobi_Administration.pdf

I think, this should work. (yes it did) That was the one year account of stewardship.

anonimi: Please tell them, the bunch of fraudsters and scammers in the Association of Conmen in Nigeria (ACN).
I am almost certain that the Mokola overhead bridge they want us to celebrate on their account was most probably initiated by Alao Akala given that Ajimobi has been in power less than two years.
The fact that PDP is filled with non-chalant military and para-military people who are not eager to play opposition poltics does not mean we the citizens should sleep away while the HYPOCRITES in the "progressive" opposition are selling us their fake achievement just as their national leader was selling his fake parentage.
I am almost certain that the Mokola overhead bridge they want us to celebrate on their account was most probably initiated by Alao Akala given that Ajimobi has been in power less than two years.
Yeah right, it was initiated by Akala, just as the the same flyover bridge in Abeokuta was initiated by Gbenga Daniel.
Fooool !! grin grin, that is what you are. I am not a card carrying member of any party, but i will defend truth vigorously if need be, because of charlatans like you. It is very unimaginable for you idiooots that this much can be done in 1year 10 Months.

A google search will give neutrals like me who truly want to know the governments website, i got this from google search,
http://www.oyostate.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/The_Journey_So_Far_Ajimobi_Administration.pdf

PoliticsRe: Mokola Flyover Bridge, Ibadan. Pics.. by emiye(m): 8:02pm On Mar 29, 2013
MT: When you say public space, please can you point me to where that is?. Do I have to be a builder before I can demand to know how much was expended on the flyover built for the public ?. I listened to Ajimobi's manifesto and I knew what he promised which made me to cast my vote for him and I know what is happening now. Was it not this same Ajimobi that went to erect tents and organised party to open the so called "restoration bridge" along bodija axis?. Our sensibilities have been insulted enough.
So in this day and age, you still find it difficult to search for information ?

Even "google" can give you idea of what you are looking for.

Let me teach you as i taught my 6 year old niece to use google, type in "cost of mokola fly over bridge ibadan"

Was it not this same Ajimobi that went to erect tents and organised party to open the so called "restoration bridge" along bodija axis?
Your complaint quoted above do not sound intelligent, it sound like someone very bitter about a loss.

A bridge was commissioned and you sound this "angry"

was it the commissioning program that annoyed you ? You have to brace up, i have a feeling there would be more of such commissioning.
PoliticsRe: Mokola Flyover Bridge, Ibadan. Pics.. by emiye(m): 4:43pm On Mar 29, 2013
player_007: Personaly.......i see no reason why that Bridge should be there because now the roads besides the bridge are now conpacted.
I passed there some weeks ago and i wasn't impressed.

Now our famous Roundaboutless roundabout is gone!!
Change is constant, embrace it. Your famous Roundaboutless roundabout must go for the bridge. Development means positive change.

You mean the road besides the brigde are compacted, if i get you correctly? Are you sure you are making sense to yourself?
PoliticsRe: Mokola Flyover Bridge, Ibadan. Pics.. by emiye(m): 4:38pm On Mar 29, 2013
MT: In a saner environment, we would be asking how much has been expended on that flyover. Sometimes, people forget these governors are just administrators of our commonwealth. If we want to rate his performance, we should judge against what he promised in his manifesto, and not start singing praises due to the construction of a flyover!!!
The cost is in public space, so what is your point? Are you a quantity surveyor or builder ?,

Yes, development like this is part of what he promised in his "manifesto". LOBATAN !

You people preach and form sincerity, but it is all hogwash

Anytime I am around Ibadan, I see die hard illetrate PDP Stalwarts telling me that the " Governor is a one term Governor" so don't bet on it that Ajimobi is coming back. Not with the allegation his wife was caught with thousands of pounds by British Authorities for money laundering.
If he is not voted back, will heaven fall? He has a 4 year mandate at the moment, he has spent 1year and 10 months from that, everything should not be politics, governance is paramount.

BTW, i am not God ooo, but when i look at my own crystal ball, he will be voted back, (1)all those "meat sellers" you met never voted for him in 2011 in the first place,
(2) he has power of incumbency now, controlling the LG structures (

3)the opposition is also polarised strongly along accord party and PDP

(4) The fruit of his works will also mature more by the end of this year and early next year.

(5) The undecided and individuals with no party affiliation like us will vote for him, and you will be surprised the undecided electorates are in the majority.

All those "Adedibu" political clientelesm days are over, jinx are meant to be broken, it would be broken in 2015 in Oyo state, the same thing was said in Ondo state, did Mimiko not break the jinx of one term governor?

Just like the rabid Eko Ile who started this thread with pics that are at least 3 months old, you are sick, Emiye!
I am no member of any party, but i will defend truth when i see one, the ACN governors have done much better in 1year and 10 months (Ogun and Oyo).

Tht anonimi guy is one PDP fooool i know on this forum, although you have also joined tonight.

is he not the one always writing PDP=ACN=CPC=......, thinking he is making sense ?

If i as your uncle tell you all women are the same, just marry any one,am i making sense? grin grin

All parties are not the same, so far so good the ACN governors have done much better,if things change i will also spell it out.
