As at the time he was apprehended by fellow passengers and airport security, he had already stolen several bundles of Naira notes belonging to other passengers from their luggage. Mr Oni who boarded the flight with a supposed identity card of HB Company is a resident of Green Valley GRA. Speaking while Mr Oni was being interviewed, another passenger who identified himself as the chairman of the Green Valley Estate GRA,where the suspect lives, promised to make sure that the suspect is brought to book. Many passengers expressed shock that such a decently dressed young man could have boarded a flight with the sole purpose of stealing from others.

I have been wondering why our lawmakers rather than being very productive, spend so much energy criticizing the executive in almost everything. I have also wondered whether there are truly selfless politicians anywhere in the World until I came across this piece: Did you know that the USA House Speaker, Paul Ryan, second in line to the presidency of the United States, sleeps in his office? Before he was elected speaker, Paul was a Congressman (Parliamentarian) representing a congressional District in Wisconsin. In all those years that he served in Washington, he has been sleeping on an an Air Mattress in his office floor since his wife and kids are back in Wisconsin. Paul says that he can only sleep on a bed if his wife is sleeping on it or rent an apartment if his wife and kids are living in it. When he was elected House Speaker (Speaker of Parliament), a position that comes with a Mansion, he chose not to live in it since his wife and kids did not want to move to the Capital D.C. But it is not just Paul Ryan who sleeps in his office in D.C. Out of the 435 American legislators (Congressmen and Senators) serving their constituents in Washington, 50 of them shower, eat, and sleep in their offices. In an Interview with the AFP News Agency, Congressman Tim Walberg from Michigan said that he has been sleeping on his office floor since he was elected in 2007. Why? He says it is a good way to save money since house rents in Washington D. C. are ridiculously high. He also had this to say: "I am not a king, a prince, or a Lord. The people who sent me here (Congress) are the people I serve. And I don't ever want to get to a point where I believe that because I'm here, I'm better than them." Now, 200 legislators also share apartments. You got it right. Three to Five Senators come together, rent one apartment, share the costs, and live together. They can also buy one car and use it to drive together to work. Yes, these are Senators and Congressmen from the largest economy in the world sleeping in their offices, sharing apartments, and cars. In America, only the Speakers of both Houses and Senior Congressional Leadership have personal security. In Nigeria, every lawmakers' first priority is a long convoy of big cars, a house and personal bodyguards. Even local assembly men/women are referred to as Honourable. Refuse to address him/her as such and hell will break lose. They live in mansions and own not less than 2 cars! It's worrisome that 80% of the Nigerian Police force secures the political class and 20% only, the majority of Nigerians. No wonder, crime and criminality in Nigeria has been overwhelming! Would you rather be an American lawmaker or a Nigerian lawmaker? Cc Lalasticlala Seun Mynd44 |

WONDERS SHALL NEVER END In what would have been a great script if it were to be in Nollywood, the people of Ogbe-Okwe, Ukwumege village in Illah woke up early Sunday morning with a shocking news that has thrown the entire community into confusion. The ugly part is that it is REAL and not a movie in Nollywood. How did one their own, Okwudili, the son of Ogbuefi Anane Onyema kill his mother in-law with a gunshot? The young man who is well known in the village as a farmer and hunter has always complained of antelopes invading his farm and destroying his crops every night. He therefore decided to hunt for the antelopes. On this particular night, he left the wife and mother in-law at home, (Both hail from Izzamgbo in Ebonyi State). Both women were hale and hearty when he left them for the farm. At first round he killed two grass cutters and returned home. Not satisfied, he went back again around 3 am still leaving the two women at home. This time after careful search, he saw the antelopes and released a shot that luckily hit one of the antelopes. His joy was however, short-lived as his torch-light which earlier showed an antelope before he fired now shockingly revealed his mother in-law struggling for life. Of course she died soon after. PERPLEXED AND TOTALLY IN SHOCK, THE YOUNG MAN QUICKLY RAN TO THE DIVISIONAL POLICE STATION ILLAH AND REPORTED HIMSELF WHILE THE CORPSE HAS BEEN DEPOSITED IN THE MORTUARY. Updates soon . gabi101:Bros, I left that one for you. Lol |
nolanpatt33:Shuu, bros, no vess O. Apparently, my post was just to enlighten guys about Warri girls. You can also write about the ones you just mentioned. We are all continuous learners. You no be community pass me. One love. |
Slaye:You wan try investigative journalism? |
While Countries and even marketers are rebranding and upgrading in different areas of life, girls, more especially Warri girls are equally rebranding. For those that have not been to Warri, let me quickly tell you that most girls in Warri see their bodies as their own crude oil. So, if you must 'drill' , be ready to pay. However, since no one wants to be stigmatsed, they have fine tuned their methods of collecting offering. May I quickly add also that unlike Lagos and Abuja, the girls are comparatively cheap. Now, let's look at their upgraded collection methods: 1. ISUSU: This category are the worst type and may God help you if you fall into their trap. They normally come with stories of how it's their turn to "pack" a purpoted monthly Isusu contribution of N50k next week ( mind you, it's always next week) but urgently needs like N10k to pay a creditor. My, brother, there's no creditor anywhere, she is simply telling you that her fee is N10k 2. ASHEBI: These ones are everywhere. You hear stories like, ' my best friend is wedding next week and the cloth for her Ashebi is out. My problem is that my tailor said I must pay the whole N5k for sewing before he will even touch the cloth. Bros, her price na N5k 3. I don suffer group: This group are sophisticated, speak good English and carry themselves well. They love hanging out at nice eateries. If you end up with any of them, then bro, your village witches have been doing night vigil for you. They generally appear friendly and eager to please. For instance, they can ask you to park the car so they can buy recharge card and when you do, they will surprise you by buying like two N1500 cards. One for her and one for you. Nnaa, don't rejoice, she is not rich, na investment be that. Her game starts when in the middle of a conversation or while eating she picks her handkerchief and dabs her eyes making sure that you notice. Bros ee, please pretend you did not notice or you are in for a long bumpy ride. Assuming you make the mistake of asking, then as if reluctantly , she will tell you something like this. "Imagine Ejiro that I housed and fed for years. Imagine, throwing my things out of her house simply because I am owing my landlord ordinary N150k. Nwanne, na scam, just delete yourself from the arena. 4. Colour code: These ones are more homely but guy na the same thing joor. Your calls are not often answered with excuses of church activities. They paint a picture of serious church devotee. Try getting down and you hear. " Please, this one no be my problem now o. Shuu, I still dey think of how to get color blue and you are here trying to do what I don't know" . Mugu, don't make the mistake of asking what color blue means or the response will be " am a chorister and we are using color Blue for next week Sunday Service. You won't believe it, ordinary blue shirt with good quality is now N7k". Bros, pay the price or take a walk. 5. Bad Screen: Once you call and after a few hellos, and she tells you , " hmm, can you imagine? " . This phone enhh. It's your voice I used to recognize that it's you ". Nwanne, hang the phone or you will be on your way to Robinson Plaza for her boyfriend's bad screen. Warri Baes, I hail o Abeg, add yours. Seun Lalasticlala Mynd44 Marpol Fynestboi |

Bring up a child in the way he should grow and when he grows up, he child not depart from it. Sir, you apparently brought them up in luxury and the belief that they could always have whatever they wanted. This was a big mistake. Nothing in life is permanent and I personally drum it to my kids at all times. I remember sending my kids back to school with just provisions and a lecture on how broke daddy was. To my surprise, they were understanding and took it so well that I felt guilty. The violent aspect however, must have come from you or your wife. |

News has been making the rounds that one time Nigeria's Military head of State, Ibrahim Babangida has called on President Buhari to step down in 2019 . However, this seems to be the handiwork of mischief makers and the outcome of cheap propaganda. Please read: IBB DEBUNKS STATEMENT ON PRESIDENT BUHARI. My attention has been drawn to a report making rounds especially online in which I was quoted as advising Nigerians not to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the coming 2019 election. Not only is the said statement untrue, it is in its entirety, an inaccurate representation of my view of the state of our dear Nation. As a former President and an elder statesman, I have existing communication channels through which I reach out to President Muhammadu Buhari on topical issues of national importance, should there be the need so to do. The media, both online or mainstream and indeed the unsuspecting public are advised to disregard such false reports. Thank you and God Bless you all. Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd) (GCON) Former Military President Federal Republic of Nigeria Hilltop Mansion Minna, Niger state. 4th February 2018 Cc Lalasticlala Seun Mynd44 |
An autopsy should be carried out to confirm that the "died in her sleep" is true. Nowadays people can go to any length to protect important names. RIP dear, I can imagine the bleeding hearts of your parents and loved ones |
He’s a 52 year old civil engineer. And his wife, a pharmacist, 50, both raised four children – 21, 19, 16 and 13. The couple met in 1993, and married in 1995. And raised their four children to the best of their abilities with all the resources at their disposal… Until October 2017. That’s when he discovered that all four are not his biological children! After DNA tests at a reputable facility in Lagos proved that he’s not in anyway related to the children that meant the world to him. Here’s the distraught father’s narration of how his world collapsed… This is my story: On the 20th of September 2017, my 3rd child who happens to be a female was critically ill in the hospital and the doctor informed us that she needs an urgent blood transfusion. My wife and I were in the hospital and we both decided to have our blood tested in other to know who has the same blood group with our daughter. But to our surprise when the result came out, we were informed that none of us has the same blood group with our daughter. We had to find a way out as soon as possible. Fortunately for us, our first son came and he happened to be a match. I was innocent about the whole thing because I didn’t know the implication of a child not matching either of the parent’s blood group. After the whole thing was taken care of, the doctor called me in privately to ask if I was the real father of my own daughter. At first, I was furious but I calmed down and answered him by saying, “Of course, why would you be asking me such question?” He went ahead to explain how a child can have either the mother’s or father’s blood group. I was confused and I asked him what he was trying to tell me. And he said it’s either I’m not the father of the child or my wife is not the mother because one of us is supposed to match. But since none is a match there is a problem. I didn’t take it seriously because it was sounding odd to me. When I informed my wife about it, her answer was, “Don’t mind that stupid doctor.” After 3 days, our daughter was discharged from the hospital. My mind was no longer at rest because I didn’t know what to do. I went back to the doctor and asked for advice on what I should do. He told me that if I wanted to be sure of everything, I should have a paternity test done on my daughter. When he mentioned that to me, I almost collapsed because I know what that means. It was too much for me to handle. But I had to be a man and face whatever is about to happen. I asked him if I should do the same thing for the remaining 3. He told me that will be a good idea if I can afford it. I decided to take the bold step even though it was not easy. I asked him if he has an idea of where I can carry out the test here in Lagos and the cost. He advised me of 2 places and their prices. Coincidentally, a friend of mine told me that he saw an advert on Facebook about one REPUTABLE company , that they offer the cheapest DNA Paternity test in Nigeria. I quickly called the number they put on the advert and I spoke with the CEO of the company just to confirm if it’s actually true. She was nice and helpful and booked an appointment for me to come in with my 4 children in order to take samples from us. I asked her how accurate the result can be, and she said 99.99% if am the father and 0% if am not the father. When we all arrived at her office, she told me to come in alone. She asked me for my story and if I was ready for this because the result could be either way and especially 4 children involved, the eldest is 21 years old. At first, I was scared and she asked me if I wanted to take time to think about it before making the decision. I was surprised and asked her if she doesn’t want money. She smiled and answered me by saying: “ Sir, it’s not just all about the money, I think of my clients’ psychological well being first.” I had to be a man and I told her I was ready. I asked her when the result will be ready and she said 5 working days because she is yet to start the analysis in Nigeria. So, for now, she sends the samples to her partner company in Canada. The waiting period seemed like a hundred years to me. When the results came in, she called me to come in for them. I was scared but at the same time, I wanted to know the truth. When I got to her office, counselling began even before giving me the results, I just knew the worst has happened but I didn’t expect it to be all my children that I have laboured for all my life, giving them the best in life. But unfortunately for me when I opened the results all the 4 children were not mine. 3 sons and 1 daughter. I couldn’t hold it as a man, I broke down in tears. At first, I taught I was dreaming and waiting to wake up from sleep. The trauma was too much for me. When I got home, I called my wife to the bedroom immediately and gave her the results. She denied everything. I wanted to believe her to make myself happy. I went ahead to call the CEO of the Company to ask her if she was sure about the result. I spoke with her with an angry tone, but she was calm and told me she is very sure and referred me to other places I can try doing another test. She informed me that although the prices are higher. I didn’t know what to do and I went to the doctor that advised me to go for the paternity test. When he saw the results, he told me this can’t be a mistake because DNA does not lie and that the 22 loci region is the highest in the Paternity test. I felt more convinced and went back home. I told my wife that if she does not tell me the truth I will go ahead to our church pastor and show them the result. After hearing me say that, she broke down into tears and confession started. She had all my supposed to be children for the same man. That was why our son had same blood group with the sister. She has refused to tell me the man and the reason why she did what she did. We are yet to tell the children and our family members. I’m in great shock and don’t know where to start from. Here is a short interview with the civil engineer… Were you always travelling when the children were conceived? I was travelling a lot, but the maximum time I spend out of the house is 2 weeks. I do not keep track of when my wife gets pregnant. Do you know the father of your ‘children’? No, my wife is holding on to that. Can you have babies? I have never doubted that. So, I didn’t have any reason to check if I’m medically okay to have children. But I do not feel any abnormality in myself. I will go for a test to check, but I’m not in the right state of mind now. What do you do? And your wife? I’m a Civil Engineer, my wife is a pharmacist. Why are you still living with her? I am no longer living in the house now, I’m staying in the hotel. When were the tests done? Samples were submitted on the 3rd of October 2017 and results received on the 10th of October 2017. What did you tell the children when the tests were done? We told them they were going for a general checkup for genetic testing since the said Company offers the services for that. What kind of samples were taken? Buccal Swabs. Were the children not curious? Not at all. We didn’t give them any reason to be curious. Who have you told about the result? Only my wife and the Doctor that suggested the test. What’s your wife saying? Just crying as usual and refused to tell me the reason behind her actions, I moved out the next day because I don’t want to be in the same house with her. The more I see her, the angrier I get, and I don’t want it to lead to something I will regret. Are you not scared for your life? I’m not, but this question is now making me think if I should be scared, I can’t think straight right now. What do you want to do now? To be honest with you, I’m yet to come to a decision. It’s very difficult. I have worked so hard to give the children the best anyone can imagine giving to their children. How much did the tests cost? For myself and one child, it was ₦60,000.00 and an extra child was ₦40,000. In total, I paid ₦180,000 for myself and the 4 children.
