BMZK:Sincerity of purpose in any venture is one thing that cannot be hidden. Wooow, to recover from BH, a small community in another Country, the Chadian army first crossed Lake Chad, then spared nothing as they used both land and air assault to crush the insurgents. Wether the Nigeria high Command supported and was aware of this, is another issue. The bitter lesson here is that our leaders have not told us the truth about BH and why they are paying lip service to the fight against them. Posterity will judge our leaders for the blood of the innocent victims, the waste of lives of our officers and men and finally the tax payers' money being lavished in fighting a war they actually do not want to end |

GEJ sincerely speaking has failed and disappointed all expectations. Even the euphoria of having rooms full of designer shoes should not have made him to forget so soon, his humble beginnings of once having no shoes. Besides, Nigeria as a Nation right now needs a man who is firm in taking decisions. Talking about Amechi, I simply think this Country needs more men like him |

Rivers State - Party house, Abia State - Party house, now Enugu State - Ohaneze ndi Igbo Secretariat. For those who believed that bombing is just for the North and were busy politicising Boko Haram, I hope you are all reading. Whatever the reason or whoever is responsible, the fact remains that this deadly worm is creeping into all the nooks and cranny of the Nation. Even if we don't value our lives anymore, for the sake of our innocent children, let's stop playing politics with BH and crush it NOW! |
nebukadnezzari:I think you can make your point if you have any without being uncivil and rude. Words like "where is this one from" and "use your head" should not be used for someone you do not know. Many people are on Nairaland because they believe it's worth it, please mind your choice of words when you respond to people. |

People believethey can do anything they like and get away with. You put up a girl's pics and label her a LovePeddler on net. Is there no educated person or lawyer in her Community? My advice is, girl, sue the pants off these guys. Sharing your pictures on net without your permission is enough abuse let alone labeling you a LovePeddler. The disrespect and abuse of women in this Country must be checked despite the shortcomings of some of them. |

While I must say it's good to have her back in the industry because she is really good in what she does, I refuse to accept the assertion that she is the most beautiful girl in the industry. I wonder what parameter was used to arrive at that conclusion. |

Sammie Okposo has just proved that he is a man. Only real men know how to say sorry when they make mistakes. GMB surprisingly has become a nightmare to the ruling party hence everyone is trying to lend voice so as to save the sinking ship. If only other others who have like him discovered the truth can come forward with unreserved appoligies, then we will all be happier. Sammie, weep no more, your sins are forgiven |
iriferi:Right on point. Certificate or not is not the issue. The simple truth is that Nigerians are tired of being deceived with this tribal and religious nonsense. I have no doubt that FFK has discovered this and panicked. I however, thought that he wouldn't have panicked to the extent of rubbishing himself with unsound comments in his blind effort to belittle GMB. I AM 'FULL BLOODED IGBO' (FBI) AND A CHRISTIAN FOREVER BUT COME RAIN OR SHINE, IT'S GMB ALWAYS. As a civilian president, how can GMB (even if he wanted) Islamise Nigeria with the lower and upper Houses of Assembly watching? Wake up my people!!! |

I honestly wonder, when we will start taking issues seriously in this Country. We don't mind mortgaging the future of generations unborn just to satisfy the wanton desires of party loyalists. Understandably, Nigerians and it's neighbors, Ghanaians, Nigeriens, Camerounians and even Chadians, all look alike. It takes only a trained personnel to know who is who and that is where the Nigeria Immigration Service comes in. Many Nigerians have continued to wonder why the National Identity Card currently being issued is without collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service. On the other hand, one would have expected that the Service would have been attached to the INEC registration centers of the PVC to make sure that foreigners do not end up coming to vote during elections. Some of these issues are annoying when we realize that we sometimes ignore doing the right thing just because we need to award contracts to some powers that be. Diaris God ooooo. |
Jalal:Firstly, what in Nigeria has ever gone up and later came down? Mhhhh GMB is really giving some people sleepless nights. The United States of America, for well over ten days now have been celebrating the reduction in pump price of petrol. Same goes for Ghana and now reluctantly Nigeria. Abeg who says that healthy opposition is not good? Waiting for more surprises to unfold as February 14 draws nearer. God bless Nigeria |

It's surprising that for someone on a dialysis machine, only two gorgeously dressed ladies were seen standing calmly (not in any way flustered) around him. Hmmm, not even a single nurse or doctor was in sight. For this report sha diaris God ooooo |

I was getting worried in the past but now I weep for my Country. How low can we decend just to paint our opponents dirty! All over the world, politicians try convincing the electorates with clear cut and meaningful manifesto NOT running themselves down. For a sitting president, there are some comments that are not supposed to be made by him. The other day, it was calling some elder statesmen ' motor park touts'. A one time governor of Anambra State once called retirees 'dead woods', till date, he is yet to recover from the outcome. What Nigerians need now is the assurance that next four years will produce miracles which could not be done in six years and on the other hand an assurance that there is no hidden plan to Islamise the whole Nation. It's high time we faced realities and stop chasing shadows |
Obinoscopy:43, 125 houses from 2010 till date in a Country of close to 200 million people and the Hon Minister is so proud of it as an achievement, what a shame. God, please help and save my Country Nigeria |

While there is no excuse for crime, I am constrained to say that the wrong Value system and bad governance in the Country account for most of the crime in the Country today. People applaud you when you have money to throw around without minding how you made it. On the other hand, thousands of people were killed in a single day at Baga for FREE while the government in power danced' azonto, ' from State to State in the name of campaign, Simple logic follows that if two thousand people could be killed without anyone raising eyebrows, then it's good business to kill one person and get paid for it. The method of operation of the operatives in this case is an area I would not like to delve into, let's just hope the suspects do not have access to good legal counsel QED |
whoawa:Most of the people you see in the crowd did not come for GEJ but to know whom they have manipulated the people's mandate to be their flag bearer in the State. Please take note of the number that will leave when he finally raises the hand of the man they have chosen at Abuja to fly the Party 's flag in the State. |
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s aide on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, has mocked Buhari who recently attended a thanksgiving service in Lagos with his running mate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, who is a pastor at RCCG. He did that via his Twitter account. See tweet below: Of all the public affairs issues begging for attention in this Nation, it's GMB's attendance of thanksgiving that Doyin found newsworthy. Our campaign strategies are becoming increasingly ridiculous. Be warned that God is never mocked. Don't use Jesus' name in vain. "Buhari attends thanksgiving in Lagos. How time changes. Next Gmb will be taking Holy Communion in this desperate bid for Power. Jesus is Lord", http://mobile.twitter.com/doyinokupe/status/552233424602542080?p=v[/quote |

I honestly marvel at thellightening speed people call others names or call for the heads of others. Fr Mbaka has been called political priest among other names while some say that the purported threat to his life serves him right. For Christians, when David sinned against God by going into Bethsheba, Uriah's wife,it was a Prophet that God sent to him, when God told Hezekiah that he was going to die, he did not fight the Prophet sent to him but rather repented and God gave him extra fifteen years. The question is, what if Fr Mbaka, contrary to popular stereotype, was only speaking as directed by the Holy Spirit! |
kilokeys:I sincerely appreciate the feelings of respondents here and also believe honestly that job seekers in this Country are passing through hell. Truly, N8k a month for whatever job is a slap on the face of a graduate especially when you remember that these school proprietors are bleeding parents white with high school fees and PTA levies. It's all in line with the Nigeria factor of wrong Value system. Amass gains and wealth no matter how! This is indeed condemneable. However, let me quickly correct an impression so no one falls victim to misinformation. An average job in the States for instance pays $8 an hour 'under the table' that is when you have no papers to work. This has it's attendant problems also. Besides, an hour of work is truly an hour of work with just about 30 minutes break time for an eight hours shift. It's no bed of roses, so before you pick up that calculator to check, consider the facts. If only we can vote in the right people and turn things around in our Country, believe me there is no place like home |
helinues:What a shame! "the bomb exploded shortly after driving past the checkpoint" My question is, if the checkpoint could not detect the bomb as it passed, what is the use of the checkpoint? We are so shameless and annoyingly incompetent in this Damn Country |
It was a beautiful saturday afternoon. I was travelling from Kano to Abuja through a commercial vehicle together with some other passengers. When we arrived at a check-point along Kano-Kaduna express road, we are intercepted by an officer of the Nigeria Immigration. He commanded all the male passengers to step down from the vehicle cle cle cle. We obeyed and was led to the other side of the road where we were handed over to another officer. The officer told all of us to squat down; for no reason. All the passengers obliged but I refused and was about to protest before he shouted at me; I didnt know when I join the others. I actually felt humiliated like a common criminal. I figure it was wise to yield considering the fact that I was on the highway, in middle of no-where and helplessly defenceless. Afterward, we were told to bring out our National I.D or drivers licence. Those that do not have were forced to pay N200 or threatened with 5 hours of detention. I Identified myself and was released. What is really annoying with their operations is that their mission out there is to forcefully extort money from travellers in the name of identifying and arresting illegal immigrant. Of cause, it is obvious that a dangerous illegal immigrant can comfortably cruise around the country just by flinging N200 to those shamless uniform men. I like to use this medium to call on the attention of the appropraite authority on the day-light robbery perpetuated by men of the Nigeria Immigration. Tax payers fund should not be wasted in paying the salaries of some corrupt individualss that are out there causing inconviniency to same tax-payers on the road. If they don't have any meaningful task to do, I humbly suggests that they should layed off or better still, deploy to Maiduguri where their energy and guns would be usefull.
I am constrained to react to this write up for two major reasons ; 1. To correct the obviously wrong image this writer has painted about one of the most disciplined and decent uniformed Services in the Country 2. To enlighten the majority of respondents that believe that the boarder guards unit of the Service have no business being on the road. Firstly, I wish to point out here that Immigration officers are by virtue of being every Country's gate men trained to be polite, civil and diplomatic. I, therefore, find it difficult to believe that an operative of the Nigeria Immigration Service will suddenly begin to bark orders at passengers in a commercial vehicle. For those who believe that they have no business being on the road, it is pertinent to remind you that withot the NNigeria Immigration Service, we probably would still be suspecting each other having no idea of the identity of the BH sect. Even as I write this, there are hundreds of officers and men of the Service in all the dangerous areas just like the army, police and so on. On the issue of extortion, that is another angle that is alien to the Service. However, if that ever happened, I think it is quite unfortunate that at this time and age he not at least take a video recording of the said act even with his phone. It is quite understandable that after the ill fated recruitment exercise, that a lot of people have issues with the Service but then it is totally wrong to labell all of the officers and men as 'useless and thieves'. Please let us always think before we talk. More so, when we hardly know about who or what we are talking about. God bless Nigeria. |
PhockPhockMan ckPhockMan:Surprising how we turn everything to one hell of a big joke. An expert has profferd a possible explanation about the building collapse in Synagogue and all we could do is ridicule him probably because he is not a foreigner. I still can't understand what other reason there might be for the controlled way the Synagogue building collapsed and yes please infrasonic radiation can be targeted without affecting other buildings around. That probably could account for the continued circling of the collapsed building just like the expert said. I sincerely think issues like this that involved loss of dozens of human lives and property should not be taken for a joke whereby Terry G, Mr Ibu and the likes are used to ridicule the intellectual work of an expert God bless our Country |
lalasticlala:Hosea 4:6 says "my people perish for lack of knowledge". This is a classical example. What kinda spiritual cleansing does one truly need again after the blood of Jesus Christ has been shed on the Cross of Calvary. The father and step mother of the late kids should also be arrested for leading the boys to their death. |
drake99:When someone is born again,, natural and Scientific laws cease to control his being. Sex hormones are also present in eunuchs and would not be a challenge to his Christian life. At new birth, the old self is buried and a brand new self, in Christ Jesus appears! "Old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new" At this stage, the flesh is so disciplined that the same God that made the lions in the den to become friends with Daniel, the same God that changed the fiery furnace to air conditioner for Shederack and his colleagues will make the flesh crave for holiness and spirituality and not for sex |
sauceny:Sauceny, it's totally wrong to credit Igbo proverbs that have been in existence so many generations ago to Chiwetalu Agu. These proverbs have been around even before his ancestors were born |
menesheh:The rate at which we are going, this Country may be heading to the abyss. All the respectable personalities we have in the Country have been rubbished one way or the other all in the name of Politics. Right from Mr President to the last, name - calling seems to be the thing in Vogue. OBJ's decisive action on Odi years ago has now been resurrected and is being used to call for his head. Years ago too, GMB made spirited efforts to bring Umaru Dikko home to answer to purported charges of embezzlement, all the Country stood still to hail him then, today, that has turned to diplomatic evil. I pray, let us concentrate on convincing the masses rather than on running down each other. God bless Nigeria |
helinues:I honestly do not see the time spent by Buhari before choosing a running mate as a mark of incompetence. I rather see it as the perfect act of a man who likes to be thorough in whatever he does. A man who would rather delay than hurry into mistakes. On the issue of his choice, if it was not the Prof, it would still have been someone else. And that someone must one way or the other have a mentor or associate just like Tinubu. I think we should concern ourselves with the man he has chosen and his antecedents. God bless Nigeria |
