It appears no one is ready to reply me. Please has anyone done investment with Renmoney before? Between them and Investment one which will you advise. Thanks.
You can't really compare them because the two firms' focus and the license they have differs.
Renmoney is more of a bank tending towards MDB but Investment one is an investment bank and a capital market operator regulated by SEC. So want you want will determine who to approach.
If you want a fund manager and a place for all forms of investment then investment one is your choice. As already advised by pa Emma you can do your due diligence on the two firms.
I have written alot here on investment one products particularly VGIF do well to read or contact me to know more about investment one and products offer by them. Check my signature for my contact phone number.

@Emmasoft
I need a CSCS account, how do I go about it with investment-one with subscribing for any investment portfolio for now?
It's easy. Click on the link on my signature to open any account of our different products: stockbroking (cscs), VGIF, Abacus MMF, VDF etc
Whether one or more of the products, accounts are opened at the same time and can be funded whenever your money is available.
All you need is your kyc documents ( passport photo, ID card, utility bill and your signature) which you are required to upload at the last page of the form.
N. B: investment one will never ask for cash to open any of the product accounts online
You can also reach me on 08181057319 if you need further clarification.

I never even see dividend. I don write Greenwich tire.
In most cases the crediting of investors cscs account with bonus shares declared by any company don't happen as with cash dividend which is normally paid on the specified payment date. Bonuses are credited anytime after payment date. The execution of the corporate action is between the registrars of the company, SEC and cscs. So just wait for it. It can be credited anytime.

In addition to your question, this is a re-opening bond meaning the initial bond conditions weren't met and is being offered for re-sale, the percentages you see may not be what you get if you go for this bond, i am sure up till this point but there are more bonds conversant guys like ukay2 to explain the conditions of such bonds.
NB: Anyone posting re-opening bonds auction should try explain conditions of it so that investors know what they are getting into.

Phylife:
Please House i need straight answers to the below:
1. Can one with low income say 50k to 500k invest in the FGN bond?
2. How can one go about it to invest? Through one's bank or a stockbroker?
3. To get or open a cscs account tied to the stockbroker - if yes through a stockbroker - assisting into subscribing for the bond?
4. And is the auction done every month or quarterly?

Thanks already.

Hi All
Is there anyone with answers to the above questions?
1. For the primary auction you can’t. In the secondary you can but, in reality or in practice each investment house has their own minimum expected from client which in most cases not less than 5m depending on the house.
2. To invest in FGN bond in the secondary market, it’s through your investment house ie stockbroker
3. You need a cscs account for trading in shares or bonds. cscs account opening is free with investment one and I think it’s same with most
investment houses.
4. You can always check the DMO website ( https://www.dmo.gov.ng/) for any information on auction of FGN Bonds

Nobody wan answer my question. Issokay.

Banks don they work with insiders now to steal funds from the deceased. What I want to know is all these next of kin and stuffs do they work in reality ?

And for investments that do not have next of kin, what happens when the investors dies?
Please note that next of Kin you indicate on those forms particularly banks or investment is more or less a contact person it doesn't mean one that is authorized to claim your investment/savings. The only person entitled to your investment must have his/her name on your will or incase no will on the letter of Administration. So whether you have next of kin or not what matters is the content of your will or letter of administration. Let's be well guided

Most people have seek alternative to TB.
Only PFA are still buying, I'll rather leave my money in savings or mmf than wanting time on TB roi of <1%

@House, A friend recently brought a proposal for equity partnerships in his already running palm kernel oil mill. (He basically want me to provide funds for purchase of palm kernel in large qty so as to guarantee daily production)
I've seen his books, gone for inspection, but haven't given consent yet.

My preference is profit sharing (partnerships) with a legal written agreement.

Donno if there is any body on this thread that has experience in such venture. Advise will be highly appreciated.
All investment carries one form of risk or the other. After doing your due diligence and you are convinced, go ahead but no matter how convincing nothing should replace legal aspect. All things must be in the right perspective. Try and imagine what happens to your investment when the worst happens. let everything be in black and white and each party knows their limit. Remember past performance of an investment is not a guaranteed of future returns

What of those not on Nairaland?. We have discussed issues of nonchalant attitudes of Nigerians to work here several times. I want to believe that somebody is being paid to handle such communications. The best thing is to take this feedback to Investment One. The bank i use, once i send a mail to customer care, i immediately get an automated response. Within a working day, i get a response from a staff telling me the number of days it will take to resolve it and it gets resolved +/- one day of the days given to me.
Sincerely, as already noted, everything has been put in place. Some of those past experiences have been addressed with better technology and I can assure you things are different now, you will enjoy doing business with investment one.

Good you shared this info so people don't invest with such entities. Imagine giving them your money and they don't reply your calls or mails while you are 8,000 miles away.
@Philantropists you have nothing to fear. Investment One is SEC regulated and all funds managed by them are secured as stated on each product prospectus. We have clients all over the country and many diaspora clients as well, transactions are going on well with them as required by regulators.
Please come on board with us and let's make you wealthier with our different products and currently our unique product VGIF is still helping many investors grow their wealth without losing sleep. Let's talk if you don't mind. My contact is on my signature and all over the thread.

All you know about investment is hearsay no personal discoveries (dd)?
You don’t know what compounding interest is all about?
You don’t bother to hear/read economic information around you?
You don’t bother much about safety of your funds but attracted only by rate to an investment?

Hello gurus and everyone, i am new on this thread and i have started reading from half of the thread so that i can be more informed on investing. Please i am planning to invest 500k in the coming month on fixed deposit account but someone suggested that i invest it on t-bill because the percentage is more higher, i plan on adding the saving that i can gather every 6month to reinvest it on the fixed deposit so that the profit can increase. Please my plan is to use this money to fund my education abroad after i finish my university education in the next 4 years. I would like to know if fixed deposit account is better or t-bill and can it also help me achieve my goal of studying abroad. Looking forward to your advice thanks and all the best.

Experts in the house permit me to ask, am a newbie..
What happens to my dividend if I don't fill my e-dividend mandate form.. will the dividend be paid to my brokage account or what? I recently bought some MTN shares.
Your stockbroker don't have anything to do with your dividend. The dividend issues is between you the investor, the company that declared it and the registrar of the company.
You must complete and submit the e-mandate form to your bank or the registrar otherwise your dividend will not be paid but kept in the custody of the registrar for 12 years. If after that you still didn't come to claim your dividend, it will be returned back to the company that declared it. This is what is obtainable as at this moment. Remember this is Nigeria the policy can change. I advice you do the needful and collect your dividend.

Please is it possible for those fund manager like Stanbic ibtc asset management, fnbquest Asst Managament,Investment-one and their like to vanish with investors fund or should the SEC just merge them similar like what happened to skye Bank
Why should SEC merge them when they meet the requirement for their operation?
While I understand your fears but be rest assured fund managers don't go down with your funds if at all they go down. In fund management there are other parties involved that helps with the check and balances.
The trustees, custodian, nominees, Registrar and the almighty SEC. Your fund will always in most cases gets a new fund manager if the current one goes down or something went wrong. It's like stockbroking firm and your stocks. Your stocks don't go down with the stockbroking firm. You can always get another firm. Remember your money is not actually kept with the managers as in deposited (they are not MDB) rather it's invested in the underlying assets. Imagine your fund in Tbills or FGN Bonds nothing happens to them.
A recent example is the union trustees mixed fund though the former managers didn't go down but a new manager has taken over the management and all investors fund intact.

sir which bank is the best option when shopping for money market funds?
MMF are handled by fund managers not commercial banks though some fund managers are member of a Holdcos like FBN, IBTC and FCMB but the job of managing funds is done by fund managers,
Before our Oga talk, I will recommend Investment one (Former Gtbank Asset management)
We have among other mutual funds - Abacus money market fund and Vantage Guaranteed Income Fund VGIF. While Abacuss is mmf, VGIF is in the fixed income category.
