The kid is a fuckin' m0r0n for divulging sensitive information to complete strangers. The kidnappers were certainly not the smart type.
Why insulting the young boy.

What is sensitive about giving out his father's phone number and occupation? Please tell me how you want them to contact his father.

My guy forget all this "strangers" talk. Kidnapper are desperate people and they can do anything for money.

The young boy is smart enough to have taken the passport photo of the kidnapper.

Your problem is LACK OF CONFIDENCE.

Even A CONFIDENT  BEGGAR will never take such shit from any in-law.

Romance › Re: Four Types Of Women A Nigerian Man Would Most Likely Settle Down With by emmatok(m): 3:37pm On Feb 23, 2011
Ikwikwikwi:
This analysis best describe the list of women an average Yoruba man would like to settle down with. It is a very good description, and I give it to the poster, a good job. They (Yoruba men) like bleached women, sometimes with variegated skin coloration, surely majority of their women are dark complexioned and lovely. Again, many Nigerian men like both fleshy and skinny women, depending on the divide you belong. It is still many Yoruba men that desire extra pound women, for reasons best known to them. The attitudinal behavior of women is a general issue when it comes to settling down, as all men desire peace. This is my humble take in all of these.

Politics › Re: State By State Figures Of Inec Voters Registration by emmatok(m): 3:18pm On Feb 23, 2011
PStylish:
@All
For the clearance of doubt, the population of registered voters was high in Lagos as a result of a large influx of people from neighbouring settlements in Ogun state into the state to register.
These settlements/towns include : Akute, Lambe, Ibafo, Mowe,Ofada, Ota and so many other towns in Ogun state that harbour Lagosians. Residents of these places never see themselves as Ogun state residents as most of them work in Lagos.
INEC, however, underestimated the population of these areas in supplying them extremely few DDC machines.Registration was a bottleneck until the very last day. It was so bad that my younger ones had to leave home as early as 4:45 am to go and write down their names at the registration center. They then registered the following day. That was the trend. For me, that was too much sacrifice and I simply registered in Victoria Island, Lagos.Same with my mum. Hence I wont vote.
That was why the exercise was extended by 2 days in Ogun state.
Lagos was overwhelmed with ddc machines hence most neighbouring Ogun residents registered in Lagos. Many people place a higher value on the voter's card than voting proper. Only a few people will vote.

On the issue of tribalism
At this juncture, it is beginning to get clearer to me that some posters are on Nairaland/Seun's payroll. No offence. Their job function/description is to make every thread as lively as possible. One of the best ways of doing this is to infuse tribalism into the thread. Tribalism sells like sex. I hope you all know that. From my observation, the longest living threads on this forum are those with tribal/ethnic sentiments. I would have loved to mention the names of these posters but let me leave it.
That said,, tribalism is part and parcel of this country and there is tribalism everywhere in the world. If not why did the English population prefer Cameron to Brown. Please spare me those modern day analyses.
What we should discuss is how we can manage it and infact exploit it to our benefit. This is should be the core focus of our unity in diversity sermon.
Some years back when I was a corper, I lived in a christian corper's fellowship family house and later the state owned corper's lodge. All the time I lived in those places, there were always tribal clashes. The family house was 85% Yoruba. Hence, the Igbos always took offence anytime Yorubas were gisting, conversing in Yoruba. They would think we were talking about them. But we never stopped them from speaking Igbo.Funny enough, our patron was a Pastor and Igbo. But anytime he came around, he spoke Yoruba to us. Every decision in the house was coloured with tribal sentiments by the Igbos. There was resentment until the very last day. I later moved to the govt corper's lodge.

The govt owned corper's lodge was even more interesting. There were Igbo rooms, Yoruba rooms, Niger-Delta rooms. The few northerners mostly stayed in the kitchen. Why? No space. The lodge coordinator - a fellow corper, allocated fresh intakes into the lodge rooms on the basis of tribe. Hence, we were all Yoruba in my room. the 4th person was a Yoruba-egbira from Kogi state. One incident that shocked me was on a day I wanted to enter a Niger-Delta room. An ijaw corper, Priye, accosted me at the entrance and demanded what I was looking for? I was embarrassed. She later said and I quote "abi una wan turn this place to Yoruba room again". When I heard that, I turned back without responding.

But despite these partitions, we still had a lot of respect for one another. We played games together, straffed each other etc.I usually watched CL matches in my Igbo neighbour's room. There were no clashes whatsoever.Everyone of us knew the line. We didn't cross it.I enjoyed every bit of my stay in the lodge.

Even NYSC couldn't eradicate tribalism. It is part and parcel of human nature.
I AGREE YOU. Tribalism sells like sex

If the woman  don't want to stand by her man, then she should not demand equity in her marriage.

Marriage is all about partnership, and not Master and Slave relationship.

But some women put themselves in the slavery position.

Because they bring noting to the relationship and expect the rich man to do all the spending.

Now, with all due respect ma'am, this quote right here is not in anyway a statement of fact. Indegines ko? Aborigines ni? Do you remember Ndubuisi Kanu? Brigadier Marwa? Do you remember Mike Akhigbe? These are not Yorubas and they were made Lagos state governors and all of us Yorubas were very very happy with them. There is a good chance that such may happen again in the future, and we will still overlook their ethnic heritage to meet them cos they have  the almighty "contracts"wink Fact of the matter is that if any Igbo, Ijaw Or Arewa military officer organizes a coup today and succeeds, he can make his illegitmate son the governor of our dear Lagos and the next morning all our Obas and elite politicians from Yorubaland will be stumping on each other as they rush to Alausa to pay homage to the new governor. It is the same in almost every other part of Nigeria except th fulani states maybe. That is the way it works in Naija my sister. He who decrees the power, dictates the tune.  All this one wey we dey online dey beat our chest like say we go bring down heaven when that happens is nothing but shakara oloje~
Those people in bold are not political elected governors.

Even Brigadier Marwa(RTD) will not dare contest for governorship position in Lagos.

All these noise about Lagos is bull-shit.

How many of those so called Military men have succeeded in imposing their KIN/TRIBES men on the Yoruba people of Lagos. NONE.

Can you imaging most people claiming LAGOS do not actually believe in ONE NIGERIA .

So if you are going to your BIAFRA or AREWA NATION tomorrow, You will drag LAGOS along . grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Because the LATINOS, ASIANS AND JEWS are in US, does not mean they can own the US.

Lagos is geographical located within the south-west YORUBA dominant region of Nigeria,

So it belongs to the YORUBA PEOPLE and not the IGBO and HAUSA BUSINESS MEN.

IT IS CALLED GEO-POLITICS.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU . WOMEN ARE QUICK TO CONDEMN THE MAN for making such demand .What if it is tha other way round. Will any woman be willing to marry a man that is not making much in his business.

The truth is not all business people are making much compare to paid employment.

The fact is that our LAW Courts judge people according to LOGICAL REASONING and not RELIGION.

I'm a woman and the article bothered me. It has been bothering me since she made her engagement public and stated that she might give up acting. That alone felt like an insult. So, women are not fulfilled until they are married. And, if they are married, they should stop working? What is the point of an education, a degree and a high-caliber career if that is all it amounts to. Things like these just annoy me. And just who are the Akande? I don't care about them, I care about Dakore Egbuson who has the ability to become a great actress(given more acting classes). She's good but with more training and experience (more movies) she will be great.

Next thing you know, they will tell her to cut off her locks.
I think you women are getting it all wrong. The family is not wrong in making such demand.

All she ( Dakore Egbuson) needs to do is to reject thier offer and get herself a NEW BOYFRIEND . But she decide to stay with them for obvious reasons (money).

She was once a Broadcaster on NTA and CHANNELS TV before going into Acting. So what is the fuss about her leaving acting.
