I have a cousin who has been in an abusive marriage for the past 12years. Not necessarily physical but emotional and verbal abuse. She is totally fed up as her mental health has been deteriorating due to constant fear. Her husband happens to be a rich but mischievous man and she is worried about what the man could do should she file for legal seperation.

Her concern is that he may go after her if she files for seperation. Secondly, is it the court that determines custody of their 3 children(12, 11, 9). She have already found accommodation but hasnt informed him of her plans to separate. She doesnt want anything from him as she has a successful business.

Are there steps she must take to forestall any bullying?

Experienced people should please contribute.

Besides, the kid she has, her father refused to give her out to the guy that got her pregnant, that he dont want him to marry his daughter.

I see jobs for people with 2 years experience for 18000 pounds annually and that's before taxes. Remove tax, rent and other bills. What's left. Someone even earning 300k in Nigeria is better off than someone earning such in the uk to be honest.

And I heard their taxes can go from 20% to as much as 40%. Imagine having one's income split in half to pay tax

Honestly I don't know about other industries but for the tech industry, Poland has much higher salaries than the UK. The only UK companies that pay well are American firms. Traditional UK firms pay very terrible wages. It's so laughable.

I saw this post advertising for a senior tech support staff with 6 years experience and the pay range was 27k - 35k pounds. That was a shocker for me, lol.

I appreciate you input. You see some things are easier said than done, maybe if you are married you will understand better. A marriage of 6 years and with kids, you cant just take any drastic decision or actions hense you will regret it, better if there is no kids involved, but u see when kids are involved, it will be difficult to navigate. DIVORCE is not that easy as people claim and if you think i am a simp, you are mistaken cos before i got married i know how i dont take bullshit but you see martiage it have a way of humbling you expecially ehen you start having kids snd having their interest at heart. What is normal in Nigeria is 100naira as charge per 10000naira. Now it's 400k will give a return of 4k as gain for a whole week.
So a POS agent will make 4k weekly and 16k monthly. U have not subtracted the cost for transportation to and from the bank and cost of data for the month. Cost of recharging the battery of the machine.
Haba. Those guys will need minimum of 1m weekly to stay in the business. Else they will charge more which will be bad for the economy.

Well, from experience most POS transactions are below 10k, so they may get as little as N100 to as much as N10,000 for a 10k transaction. Sure their net earnings will tank, but it should still be enough to keep them in business.

I know a POS guy that does between 300k to 500k withdrawals on normal days and close to 1m withdrawals on good days (usually salary payment week) excluding deposits.

Yes, those ones may get affected. But for areas like mine with POS operators situated poles apart, the effect may not tell much on them.

I believe with proper documentation Banks would allow more withdrawal for POS agents.. Emefiele also said they intended to make withdrawal more difficult and strict, but they have no Constitutional power to stop withdrawal of your money

POS can register their accounts as business accounts, and that puts the limit at 400k weekly. I don't think most of the POS units around make such high volume transaction per week, so they will mostly be fine.
