In the Hebrew~Aramaic scripture[Old Testament] the divine name was replaced with the title 'LORD' as all the alphabets are written in capital letters, the translators of KJV only make use of the name Jehovah where the message could sound odd. For example at Exodus 6:2,3 and Psalms 83:18 there it was clear that a REAL name must suffice for the scripture to sound meaningful!
But in other parts like Psalms 23:1,110:1 the KJV rendered the divine name as LORD. These is why the JWs restored the name in all it's proper places!
So whenever you're reading the Bible, anywhere you find the title LORD in capital letters know that it's Jehovah or Yahweh that's supposed to be there.
Jehovah's Witnesses only corrected that!

Now if restoring the name in the rightful position is important, didn't the most accurate name be used?

Jehovah's Witnesses ADOPTED the divine name JEHOVAH for just one reason!
It is evident that God has a PERSONAL name apart from titles like God and Lord, but the Hebrew stopped using the name long time ago so it's real pronunciation was lost.
However if we're to go by the original Hebrew pronunciation then so many names in the Bible must be changed as well. For instance Jacob, Joshua, Jonathan, Jeremiah, John and Jesus must be rendered in their original 'Y' pronunciation.
That is why Jehovah's Witnesses preferred the rendering Jehovah to Yehowah or Yahweh and Jesus to Yashua!

Like I usually say, you people only read and don't comprehend. This is because your people behave like a robot just to type anything whenever the name JWs appear to defend it.

We're talking about rendering that close to the original form, yet you are saying another thing.

If JWs had not claim to come and restore THE ORIGINAL NAME OF GOD in the Bible, that won't be an issue but claiming to come to restore original name of God, also knowing full well that Jehovah isn't close to the original form and went ahead to ADOPT it just because people are already used to it. It's the most ridiculous part of it!

Both Jehovah and YAHWEH are rendering of the Hebrew word for God...Just that Yahweh is closer to the Hebrew word than Jehovah.

Jehovah witness only erred by claiming to come to restore the original name of God in the scripture only to have chosen Jehovah which is not too accurate instead of Yahweh.
