Anyone defending Alams deserves a big resounding slap. Are all your roads well tarred? Are your hospitals equipped and well staffed? Are your graduates gainfully employed? Do you feel secure in your house at night? NO yet people are here defending a big time looter. Now I understand why my NL people will say "Receive sense" - some people are direly in need of the sense true true. |

Okanokan: Are there no orthopaedic hospitals in Nigeria? That a former Vice President will for a knee injury run abroad for treatment, frankly does not tell well of the leaders that bestrode the political space. When leaders don't believe in the health institutions they built and nurtured over the years, is it the FOLLOWERS that should believe. These folks built nada not to talk of nurturing. Just imagine the embarrassment, a whole former Vice President seeking medical attention in another country. Zero vote of confidence in his own country's health system over which he had some influence for 8 good years. These people, I don't think they reason at all. Seeking public sympathy after ruining the nation. Rubbish. |

smuth: This is not being sentimental, were you there beside him on his sick bed to know if he repented before he died? Since you don't know what happened on his sick bed why assume he wouldn't have confessed his sins. This is why we shouldn't jump into conclusions especially in times such as this that lies fly everywhere like flies. Okay so what should we do? Celebrate him?! Whilst I am not in support of gloating over a person's death, neither will I see black and call it white. This guy looted state money (Yes or No?) next, he bought properties worth £10 million ( have you tried converting that to naira?) Enough of all these leaders who loot and expect us to celebrate them. Enough is enough. The petty thieves that steal are lynched meanwhile bigger criminals are being worshipped. Which way forward for this country sef? |
Politics › Re: Apc Mourns Alamieyeseigha - Vanguard by ephi123(f): 5:13pm On Oct 11, 2015 |
smuth: While commenting on his death let's not forget that it is ONLY God that can decide if he makes heaven or not. Face your life and wait for your turn which will surely come, dont waste your time judging others, you will surely die and be judged one day. The man is already dead and doesn't care about your opinion about how he lived his life, what he cares about now is to find favor in the sight of God. For those calling him a thief don't forget a thief made heaven haven found favor from Jesus Christ during crucification. Don't be surprised that some pastors you call role models will not make heaven. The thief made heaven because he repented of his ways. Please let's stop being sentimental, that is why the country remains in the state it is in - sentiments. |

Shymm3x: Isn't it the same story with Nigerians living in the US? You mean all those Nigerian cab drivers all over New York City just have naij accent but they aren't Nigerians, no? All those Nigerians on canal street aren't Nigerians? The ones all over Brooklyn who look like they just left the boat aren't Nigerians?
When did the population of Nigerians in the UK get to 2million where there aren't even 2million black Africans in the UK? A lot of you just get gassed off London and start throwing millions around. I doubt there are up to 500,000 Nigerians even in London where 80% of Nigerians in the UK live.
As soon as I saw Peckham in North London - I knew this clown has no clue about what he is saying. Peckham is in South London. And statistically there should be more Nigerians around Thamesmead/Bexley and Thurrock axis (maybe Havering) than Peckham today. It changed time ago but a lot of Nigerians still come to Peckham to shop tho.
Anyway, the hustle is real. Lmao! I had to go back and check the article, and indeed it refers to Peckham as a "lively community in North London" @ Post What kind of reporter uses "reap off" to mean "rip off "? Na wa o, standard of education seriously on a decline. |

I am a bit skeptical. This is not the best of times for the oil industry considering current crude prices, a lot are actually downsizing at the moment. Is he saying the training would provide a guaranteed job? If so, then he is suspect. |

If he try to object, Tell him you are getting the money from an uncle who is doubtful and you want to use that money paid in by him to convince that your uncle to give you the balance. His reaction on this will speak volume. Good luck Smart thinking. OP, read this advice well. You need to uncover the intention of your friend and this is one practical way to do so. |

bife: the Eagle is an emblem of Nigeria strength, it's on our coat of arm(I think you know that),that's our national team name. you will see a Y shaped river flowing on the green, that represent the R. Niger and Benue and the tail represent the N.Delta. The green land on which the river flow is our green land vegetation the art work shows the value of Nigeria. Thanks for this post. I was surprised at the question "what's with the eagle". Dude does not know or can't remember that the Nigerian coat of arms prominently features an EAGLE! |

Let us for once celebrate this country rather than pulling it down even if subtly. |
