They know nothing but think they know something. The food you eat majorly comes from the north. Where do they get water to feed their crops? If you can't answer, don't bother to reply.

Too many inaccurate assertions in your write up. North that barely sees any rain suddenly has "the most turbulent rains".
😂 ignoramus. Majority of the food in Nigeria comes from the North. Maybe you should ask how they get water to feed their crops. Many be na palm oil they use to water their crops.

Keep saying rubbish with confidence. Many of think North = Desert land.

Define "turbulent" in this context? And where did you get that information from in the first place?
Lol... Turbulent in the sense that their rain is often heavy, unpredictable, extreme and violent. Same with their cold and harmattan. I'm saying what I experienced.

I have traveled to North, West and I live in East. I can tell you for a fact that no northern city or state comes close to Lagos, Dick measuring brings healthy competition but that shouldn’t blur the truth. No northern state has mire infrastructure than Lagos, what you can say is that scanty population makes northern infrastructure look Massive, tell me one northern interstate road project comparable to third mainland bridge. Electricity availability talks more about scanty industry.
I agree with you. Lagos tops in infrastructural development in this country. That said, the stat up there including a handful of northern states is accurate.

If signed into law, these present crop of legislature would practically be immortalised. Their names will be written on the sands of time.

It has its downside. Governors will become minigods. For example, someone like Fubara can declare Wike wanted, place a bounty on his head and make him go on exile.

By and large, State Police is the major answer to our insecurity issues. The humongous benefits far exceeds the potential abuse. Issue of killer herdsmen, banditry and kidnapping will be non-existent because indigenes will be the state force and governor will be the true CSOs of their states.

But then, will the Northern caucus whose states depend almost solely on FAAC vote in its favour?
That's the purpose of restructuring. States that abuse their power will wither away.

Nigeria needs a new constitution and political structure, not only State Police.
The 1999 Constitution was not a contribution by Nigerian people; a few military dictators from one side of Nigeria literally dictated the constitution. Again, the constitution has no referendum that backed it.
This is the right step. Let's test our decentralization and restructuring dreams with this state police. The result will show us the next thing to do. We can't restructure and amend the 1999 constitution at once. There will be chaos.

You people will never be satisfied with any step taken to reduce crime. Many of you have been clamouring for State police for a long time and now govt wants to look into it and you're still saying it was targeted at 2027 elections. What do you people want exactly?
They are f o o l s. They don't want the country to work. Including the gbajue-master. Like they did during the fuel and naira scarcity when Obi supported and claimed it's common with developed country, thinking it will favour him at the polls, they are doing the same now. Their wishes and prayers is that things don't improve so they can continue to gloat and hope it will help them next election.

They desperately want this administration to fail. Including Aisha Hushmummy.

As much as this idea sounds great due to insecurity, it will just make governors mini tyrants.

I hope they put enough checks mechanism in the law that would set it up to mitigate abuse.

APC governors will just be using state police to rig elections.

In fact, I suspect the reason they are pushing for State Police is to have enough touts that would help execute 2027 elections seeing that nobody in his right senses would vote for them except their brainless supporters.
I don't know what you guys want. Banditry, kidnapping, insecurity, complaints. FG moving ahead with the long awaited state police implementation, complaints.

Wtf is your problem?

Kaduna is nice
I agree. That is where I did my NYSC, in a very remote area for that matter. I enjoyed my time there.

People need to travel more, instead of consuming what mainstream media tells them about the North. The situation is akin to how western government brainwashed their citizens about Russia. The vision most western citizens have Russia is that of a third world country. It why they can't believe Russia defeated NATO, EU, and America in their proxy war in Ukraine.
Politics › Re: Top 10 States With The Best Infrastructure In Nigeria (statisense) by EponObi(f):
You guys doubting there are good infrastructures in the North need to travel more.

Ask folks who did their NYSC in the core north, they will tell you what's up, that if they want to tell the truth. Go to their villages, not even cities in the North, you will see top grade roads that few cars are you using, with very good internet penetration compared to what we have down south. I remember when we travel inter village, most times we have the road to ourselves, with blazing speed; you will hardly find pothole. And mind you, North experience the most turbulent rainfall in Nigeria, plus the extreme heat, their road is hardly affected; just to tell you the kind of quality roads they have.

Yes, they have electricity - very constant supply. Though, during my time, there were one or two villages without power infrastructure in my LGA. In fact, I had to relocate out of my PPA because of light. I moved to a nearby town that required me travelling on road to work by road for 1.5 hour, on bike.

The stat is accurate. Travel more to confirm. Don't play.

The government should probe the man. This country self. The man has questions to answer. What's the source of the dollars? Why did he keep such a big amount at home? What goods and services does he buys with the dollar notes?; then, arrest the service providers.

This man and his kind are part of the people destroying the value of naira. You are in Nigeria, why are you keeping dollar notes in bulk? And I won't be surprised if he's one of those abusing Tinubu and Cardoso online.

May God help us. The rot and corruption in this country is mind-blowing. It has found its way into every fiber of the fabrics of our society.

Wike is always effective in whatever he does. How I wish Tinubu will step down in 2027 and allow Wike to take over from him. Nigeria will witness unprecedented transformation. This is also an indictment on northern governors in whose states Fulani bandits are running amok. It shows they can easily capture those terrorists but choose to look away while complaining like bleating goats.
Wike cannot lead this country.

Shikini:
Oga, Obi has been there before. He is highly exposed in governance.

He turned Anambra from an indebted and chaotic state into a financially stable one.

When Buhari was dolling out bailout to States, Anambra didn't collect it. They were not owing salaries. The new governor then (Willy Obiano) did not have need for such loans. Peter Obi made that happen.

Peter Obi will not waste #6b buying a presidential Yatch. He will not spend #75b renovating President's & Vice President's homes in Lagos and Abuja. Tinubu is a bug spender.
.
Oga get off the road. Nigeria's problem is not majorly spending problem but earning problem. Tell us how Obi improved the IGR of Anambra during his 8-year tenure. What was the IGR when he came in? What was it when he left?

Like it's well known in finance, saving alone will never give you financial freedom if you don't invest. Nigeria's and Nigerians' problem is not saving but earning. Assuming Obi is president, how much will be able to safe self when 99% of our revenue is what we use in servicing debt? At the moment, Nigeria earn nada. Zero. Because we've used our current oil production to get loan. That's how serious the situation is. I will always say, Obi is a small boy in the grand scheme of things in Nigeria. He too small a boy to challenge the powers that be in this country. Forget his nonsense dismantle the pillar of corruption motivational talks. Only people like Atiku and Tinubu can face the challenge of turning things around in this country. If GEJ could be squeezed out of Aso Rock, then who is Obi?

Nigeria don't need someone like Obi who is way too frugal. We need someone who can change the nation to a net export economy. And don't bring that consumption to production nonsense because Obi never turned Anambra from consumption to production. In fact, his entire business empire is based on consumption. Obi is one of the biggest importers of goods in Nigeria. His company import literally everything, down to toothpicks.
