Elemosho478: The dollar we are using to import petrol will be channel to other things and i think fuel is our biggest import if we no longer import fuel it will ease the demand for dollars.
U will be choked.Nk remittance on gains in Nigeria.take NPA and customs for example.they profit they claim to have made over exceed thier budgets but till wait for FG and are still broke. Dont xpect toomch.
Gerrard59: Well, in spoken English, things will be different due to accents. Singaporeans have a different way of speaking. But in written English? Nigerians don't communicate correctly in it. Nigerians are the only ones I have seen use "borrow" instead of "lend". Even an elite like Iyin Aboyeji did it. I was stunned!
Nigerians must write IELTS/TOEFL whether they like it or not.
I have never read Americans or South Africans or Singaporeans or Ghanaians used "borrow" instead of "lend". If an elite Nigerian like Iyin can use "borrow" rather than "lend", then it is finished. None of those nationalities' elites used "borrow" rather than "lend". None of them also argue stoopidly that "English no be my papa language".
Not just.Nigerians.everyone in the UK say Borrow. We borrow books from libraries not lend as for the person taking it..I Borrow objects from next door.I borrow tools from my colleagues all the time and use Borrow more than million times.
studyless123: You guys are very funny. So you don't know the impact of international students to UK universities. There was a bust in admission after PSW was stopped in 2012 and who told them to reintroduce it? They saw the numbers and nobody told them to reintroduce PSW in 2020. Now there's a boom and the admissions is growing yearly. I agree with regulations to checkmate migration but such policies will affect them.
Let me tell you thing for free about the UK.it cost more for the students to bring thier dependants than the cost of school fees.reason Free healthcare They seem accommodation from govt They congest public service bus, trains etc School places for kids are hard to get ur kid might take two buses to get to.school. Some student brought up to 12 family members.indians are the major culprits. The UK has already made its calculation.the Universities are self funded and not from government..
DadaStephen1: I live in the UK, and I can tell you that Indians and Bangladeshis bring more dependants than Nigerians.
A Nigerian man goes to UK with his wife and kids, that’s all. Worst case, his wife puts to bed, they bring the mother in law for a short stay.
An Indian travels to the UK with his wife only.
Then in few months, he has brought in 5 relatives of his, then his wife too, then those ones bring more and more and more and more.
A Nigerian will come to school and then look for a job permit to remain with his family. An Indian will get a business or self employed visa and bring in numerous Indians to sell in his corner shop or help with his “small business”.
That’s why Indians are all over the place! Na dem be PM, na dem be Mayor for London, na dem be Taxi Driver, na dem be everything.
UberEats in UK is owned by an Indian 🇮🇳 and na only Indians dem dey employ. Dem don take over 3 Network, dem don dey take over MacDonalds.
These guys are the criminals in the UK, yet they have a very strong community and they’re taking over the country gradually.
This is same with Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans.
But Nigeria wey no reach anything, na our voice dem go dey hear for everywhere. Very loud and very overconfident in rubbish.
Nigerians back home for Nairaland and Facebook go dey cap nonsense on top half information wey dem get about people wey dey UK, the ones wey go get chance manage enter the UK like Emdee Tiamiyu go cast everybody and everything just for 2mins of fame.
Na why dem dey put eye and mouth for Nigerians be dat.
Well said no mind them.the UK are not stupid.they are targetting those you just mentioned.look how they fix Romanians. Polish and Bulgarians with Brexit.
Nbote: Na them go still lose. It's a no-brainer. Most people from Asia and Africa who go to study in the UK and Europe do so because it allows them come with their dependants. Take that option away and there won't be any need to come. Apart from Oxford and a few other prestigious universities, why would anyone want to pay high fees to the UK when you still won't be allowed to work with your degree without meeting some annpying requirements
See you lol I laugh in Chinese lol.U dnt know how rich the UK is.4get the press.if covid could not dent them then nothing will. This government who bails out entities that are vital to their society..They won't lose nothing

favor914: 50 Naira na money, you fit buy 1 Tom Tom sweet for N50?
It is N50 levy you they whine about? Well done, Enemies of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This is selfish.look the monies is going into someones pocket.there are more than a million remittance in a day.this would yield a minimum of approx if not more than N70million in a day to be shared amongst tiers of government t.This will in no way reflect on the man on the street.so in local words this is corporate extortion. This is the bigger picturr that is worrying.
COMPAQ: So even if said widow received $100 a month since then, that amounts to $3600 since then. At a average rate of say $/750, in that time she has received circa N2.7mln. But she will be asked to pay N1,800. That's 0.06%!!! So N1,800 in the context of N2.7mln is the issue?
What is wicked bout N1.8k!? ($1.50)
You all want Nigeria to be like America and Britain. Common tax of N1.8k una no fit pay.
yes why target diasporans who already help by remitting cash to Nigeria? cos the bulk sum say up to 99%of these charges will be incurred by people who receive money from people broad.
Ok update.I have just used my expired Nigerian passport to board.I was allowed through.no trouble.lufthansa airlines London to portharcourt via Germany..just waiting for my Boarding gate to open. So plz travel with your expired 9ja passport. PS Whilst waiting I help myself with some perfumes and ciroc. Man nor die man nor rotten.
AlphaHakimi: In all sincerity, he didn't ask for too much. He asked for the barest minimum. No shouting, no quarreling, can cook, can dress well, can pray etc.
He didn't ask for big breast or big nyash, or fair skin. All the qualities he listed are homelike qualities.
For the men against his list, will you rather have the opposite of what he listed in a wife?
For the women against his list, will you wish your brother or son marries a woman who has the opposite of the qualities he listed??
We all know what we are doing, after nairaland we will all go back to our realities.
NO GREE FOR ANYBODY THIS YEAR.
SHALOM
If any man on here goes lower than that list then they are stuck in the ways of 2000.they are not Y2K compliant
Nosagodsonworld: Sir, the Professional bodies are playing fraudulent acts How can FG give a body like 1BN and at the end of the year the(Body) will remit 200MN Where are the rest money? Upon the dues, exam fees, etc. collected.
Like COREN, only one annual meeting for a year with no research. Then the budget is gone like that?
We don't av to quarrel ourselves or blame Tinubu too much, Buhari Government proposed this budget issue last year if I'm to be corrected.
Well said, I say Scrap em all. ON here I have realised people still do not get it. The Regulatory bodies are left and spared, just the professional bodies which by the way charge its members to write an exam or yearly subscription. There is no requirement to join these and also there could be more than 10 professional body for the same profession.
lokoloko84: Cashing out in what sense? The current monies they generate go to the government yearly in the form of remittance by "remita" where the government will in turn budget their yearly amount as expenses in the form of running costs and capital expenditure. Take the health sector for example. These professional bodies determine how many students will be admitted to medical schools, accreditation of medical schools to meet certain standards, monitoring of health facilities and professionals against quackery and sub standards structures, licensing of these facilities and health care providers against illegal practice and many more. These bodies will simply increase fees at all levels and tighten the grip against government interference in their profession. These professional bodies will be the biggest winner in the long run since the professionals will want to protect their space but the citizens will be the biggest losers in the long run.
The money going back to government is like saying the Money customs generate goes back to the government, DOES IT?
