earning and savings are 2 different things
It means saving %50 of ones salary will earn that i n 2 years even 3 years.
I know people who save £1k monthly to thier 9ja account so every month here they send N1.4m average to their UBA bank account in Nigeria religiously 10 months is like N14m and I'm not joking..

I work in the technology space. A 43 Years, you are already on the board, you be grandpa. Incubation period is pretty short. In my own case, I have an MBA from a good Business school in Europe. Do you know what that does for you in tech?
In tech, no one cares about experience, they only care about what you have done and what you can do.
The offer was even for more than 20M if other benefits are included.
People collecting that 20M are here in Naija.
Bro I am a fluid Mechanic, So I'm not Alien in the tech industry. You said you are 43 and in the tech Industry, what part of tech if you dont mind me asking!

@fullclub your advice is duly noted. The mods here and some others are talking like it's easy to raise N30M in this economy. They come at people with their holier than thou attitude, now wonder NL is becoming shithole, just like Nigeria.

Clearly your advice is for those who may intend to sell their/family properties/possessions in order to embark on this journey, and painting the perfect scenerio for them here is the best way to go.

It is well. All the best, but in all you do, please don't come back.
You will come back when you have comfortable money. Nigeria is a good place to be only if you have money to spend. But to make initial money is xtreemly hard, one can pass fru their lifetime without being comfortable know a lot of people who could not afford to buy a car fru their entire life time.

Oh my...that young girl has no idea the kind of school OAU is ! The school will never tolerate any kind of indiscipline and unruly behavior from any of its students. GenZ my foot,by the time she is done with,I was once a student of OAU will be her new song ! She will soon find out on her way to her father's house when the school would've expelled her on the ground of "poor character" !
And the money she will get from suing the school might be enough to complete her education in a private University!

Thank God it's not the National Assembly but a Federal University. In a Federal University, you are allowed to have a phone and use a phone. It's up to the lecturer to set up his class rules and manage his students like a human being. A lecturer has NO right to punch or assault a student. If the right people take it up, he will lose his job and can even go to jail. He was caught on camera.
If you don't want phones in your class, expelling or punching the student is not the next option. You can ask the student to leave the class, you can deduct marks. In Nigeria, the lecturer may even influence more serious/wicked things like failing the students or frustrating the students. Expel or physical assault is a tall order.
Anyway I see him losing his ob by this already, once this goes viral. The ministry of Education would have seen this

Assault is not part of his duties as lecturer. A lecturer almost lost his life at Uniport for exact same action, girl was pregnant and lost the baby cos he pushed her.He will lose his job if the girl takes it up.He is not security and has no right to lay hands o n a student

As far as her phone is on silence she does not have to switch it off completely,. The are not in an exam hall. She could be asked to leave, but putting hands on a student is a NO NO and punching the student is Assault, and its a woman, even worse. Now if her husband nah Soldier how E go come be?. The girl can sue the school and win

Well even the UK cockney has slurs that are considered a far stretch in Nigeria. It's easier to find ppl say "nigga" amongst peers here, particularly college undergrads. Seeing as that part of your life was spent abroad I can understand why you would find it strange.

Unlike your kid's peers who are more comfortable with using words like "fvck" grin
They cant say the work Fvck in front of me or elders.MayB outside amongst their friends. Even in 9ja.Its such a bad word that is associated with bad behaviour....Its said by adult when they get really upset and not for jokes.

the problems with Nigeria is that eey want to feel among, feel ontop even at the detriment of other vital aspect of their lives.

Imagine someone controlling 30m naira, wasted everything on travelling only to get their and looking for house boy/girl job.

When u ask them why dey will blast you, telling you there is constant electricity, smooth asphaltic road, health care etc..

But dem go dey do work like jeki for factory to pay their slave masters in the name of tax

Many if them are doing two to three shift just to stay afloat but at the end of the day all their so called earnings would never be enough to build the factory of their own either there or here.

Anything that make me leave my country abroad then I have secured a PR to practice my preferred profession.
ALl was well untill you mentioned slave masters and working as a jerk
Now let us reason the anology behind ur talk, Big question who works as a jerk?
here is my answer
You work as a jerk when
you salary is not enough for you as a single unit to pay your rent
Hve basic aminities
have no rights.
DOnt get paid as at when. due
Your employer can slap you and sack you and owe you without paying and there is nothing you can do about it
If you get ill and do not go to work, you have to pay to get treated and you do not get paid for days missed.
You start work with no signed contracts.
you do not have approved leave.
little or no promotion
Health and safety is almost non-existent.
No further training or refresher courses
Unexplained deductions
I will stop there, please tell me where and what country does that sound like for a single Unit of a person working in the lowest of JOBS??

Truth is most people traveling out of Nigeria are The weakest and most stupid people we have. Only a few of them are smart, most are just stupid follow follow. Lol
I think calling one an Idiioot cos they chose to travel to make money is a bit harsh, to each to thier own, What you call money is different from what others term real monies. to you N30m might sound a lot of money some persons might have that an aspire to get N100m.THats why I said to each to thier own.N1m to some people is a prayer point as we speak why some people spend that in a week!

I have said it several times. Implement true federalism. Unbundle the national grid nonsense.

Every state should look for means to generate power or buy from a neighbouring state.

How can states in faraway North be supplying power to the south when the south has gas in abundance?
Guy forget the North, dem dey learn,Delta state has 4 power generating plants
Sapele power plat
Sapele power station NIPP
Transcopp Ugheli
Kwale power plant.
Edo state has two
Rivers state has 4
Bayelsa has two
