Watch the video of Otuene Justina Nkang, a 300-level student at UNIPORT, who was later discovered deceased in her boyfriend's apartment after four days.

The video shows the young and beautiful girl smiling cheerfully and brimming with life as she playfully moves about in the room.

Tragically, she was later discovered to have been brutally butchered by her boyfriend.
This looks like Cultist hit and she was at the wrong place at the wrong time, he may have been the target.

I was actually given this advice months ago when the dollar was 950 or so but my thought process was that the dollar might come down and I will lose money 😔 even now, I made the calculations

If I use 4M to buy dollar, that will be 3200 dollars and if dollar increases, say 2000 by this year ending or so, I would make an extra 2.4M but if dollar decreases I will lose a lot of money.

Nigeria is a very weird place, the dollar market is so unpredictable.
I am still thinking of it sha
Dollar will come down Jan next year.ieven December..Xmas rush for importation pushes the green back up every time this time of the year

I don't agree to the lack of clean water bit or lack of education bit cos the % of people with clean water in NIgeria is more than the whole population of the UK, The population of educated people in Nigeria is more than the population of the UK. by the way the UK is 65m

What will Obi do differently to boost the so called exports you've been screaming about?
You want to export finished goods and sell to who? What will you or Obi even export?
How long will it take you?
Where will the forex to use to import heavy duty machines your sudden industrialisation projects will need come from if you don't manage imports via substitution?
You think you'll just wake up overnight and start exporting and go and break years of acquired capacity and industry relationships and even lines of credit with giants because one fool who don't even own a viable business is saying so right?
Obi is just a good Orator but a serious dunderhead and calamity that Nigerians chose to pass on and I respect them for that,
Tinubu was the best amongst all three but your hunger driven tribalism and basic depravity can't let you see that because you actually need to be comfortable and roll with technocrats to be truly enlightened, which you can't be caught dead in those circles.
Look we should all forget obi ,obj pmb etc. the man on the Hot Seat is Tinibu, he is in charge an head, so he is to blame and he is responsible for anything that goes good or bad simple,,If he knows he cant sort it let him step down for those who feel they can,

The country has the capabilities to be a steel, refined oil, petrochemical, Aluminium, automobile and ship producer in less than 3 years if it had a committed leader that wasn't interested in stealing oil resources.

The imoprters should source for produts made in Nigeria and export. The same way they travel abroad to source for product to import to Nigeria.

Don't tell me Nigeria doesn't produce anything. Go to Aba alone and see how shoes, bags, belts are made in larger scales though they can request producers to improve the quality of their products then export to other African countries and as far as the Pacific countries. Don't forget Lagos and also Kano are also producing the same.

Open warehouses and shops in these countries to market and sell these products.

These process is tedious and demands strategic consistent marketing and advertising in those countries but the benefit supercedes the pains.

The same way Hyundai, Samsung, Toyota even Pep stores from South African go to other countries to advertise their products and make money for their countries.

The problem with importers, is the urge to make quick money without hard labor.

Mind you, there are other products prodced in Nigeria here. Adire, Aso Oke, Ankara, Innoson, Nord, Electric cables, Nigerian foods, plastic chairs, etc. You can add to the list.

Importers should upgrade and stop looking for fast money.
What can you produce?

I'm living close to alaba. I know how generally all market people including Yoruba, igbo and Hausa do liter newly constructed road. If you come to iyana iba . The newly finished ten lane road has turned to heap of rubbish.
we are still expecting the blue line rail phase 2 to get to that route and yet we cant keep what we have clean.
When it comes to environmental sanitation it is wrong for people to view it from an ethnic perspective. Its even a shame to say, that other market are more dirtier than us why focus on us.
The issue is you don't even have to be dirty in the first place. The market can organize themselves and pay lawma to bring their truck to pack waste and keep the environment clean.
So far its environmental hazard that is been involve i do support the government effort. A greater Lagos will benefit everyone because before you enter brt bus or blue rail its your cowry card that would be needed not your APC membership card.
I agree with you, so you do agreee that government needs to do more, Lagos is highly populated so there should be new means of refuse disposal. Where I live we have a waste management centre, B4 you take your domestic waste there you will have to show proof of living in that area, ie Bills or bank statement. Like I said B4, in the nearest future people will bed to collect waste cos of recycling.!

I swear Nigeria and Nigerians get problem; Commercial waste should be treated different from Domestic waste. Time will come when waste would be collected freely mark this cos of recycling.
Look at the Foto bellow, these are commercial waste, the lorry would soon come collect them. This is in front of my house.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share some fantastic news about the recent development in Lagos, Nigeria. The government has decided to shut down Alaba International Market temporarily for a much-needed renovation. This is such a positive step forward!

The market, which has been a cornerstone of commerce in Lagos, was in dire need of an upgrade. The facilities were becoming outdated, and it was affecting the shopping experience. With this shutdown, we can look forward to a revamped, modern market that will be more welcoming to both shoppers and vendors.

I believe this is a crucial move towards boosting the local economy and making Lagos a more attractive place for business and leisure. The redevelopment project is expected to create more job opportunities and enhance the infrastructure in the area, making it an even better place to live and work.

I'm excited about the changes to come and can't wait to see the transformed Alaba International Market. Kudos to the Lagos government for taking this positive step!

What are your thoughts on this development? Share your opinions!
Was there a time frame?

Ok my Bad, your handle did not specify Genda hence my response. back to subject, I still blame govt cos they have more to do instead of rely on individuals to do more. When you say I'm being emotional i don't understand what you mean because I'm not igbo. I'm a native lagosian.
Whoever might be wrong on this im very sure they will reach an agreement and the market will be opened again. The Alaba governing council are very active and do relate with the state government very well.
When I said being emotional on your part its cos Im seeing you as a yorubaman or a Lagosian, whilst me on my part Im not yoruba nor do I live in Lagosian from PHC/Delta so Im an outsider taking a holistic view of the whole situation and giving my on view as to how the issue could have been best handled or dealt with.Ok I will go with your school of thought that the issue would be resolved as the said traders council are active. Not this Igbo yoruba E war few miscreants started here already. I just explained the way it works to you,

For E. G. FEDAN Plaza in Alaba has its own waste point, other plazas have where they aggregate their waste for pick up by PSP.

Good you used computer village as an example, have you wondered why computer village has not had environmental infarction issues for some time and they do generate a whole lot of waste and it's been carted.

There are arrangements for aggregation and pick up of waste in all those places.

They all have their arrangements,

Some you will see big containers like Oyingbo etc some other markets too, some you might not see because there are arrangements for aggregation and pickup.
Bro agrigate Pick ups wont work, some of teh wastes from those dealers down there are larger than what a single person can pick in a hand held bin.The reason why I am talking to you like this is cos Im very close to few stake holders in them places and I use to import with them early 2000s in a place called promise land in ladipo, you might k now it, most time Im in Nigeria I still go there to visit them people. Take for example, something so simple as building toilet in Ladipo the local govt can't do, is this not shameful people have to wee on the street and poo at any hidden spot or in broad day light at the canal. The surprising this is why just they build toilet enroute the canal. The whole system is wrapped around corruption that's all I can say in the part of the government not IGBO, some here already think Im Igbo with their myopic reasoning cos Im thinking outta the box

Understand that the agency will not deal with an individual shop in the market, it's always with the association. The association will be billed a lump sum and it pays the govt.

So your friend is paying to the association monthly.

And Yes the wastes are always being carted, the problem is always when associations don't pay or traders don't follow their agreed waste disposal means.
Now you are understanding my point, Moreso the traders pay individual Taxes to both Local and state government. Your local govt contracted LAWMA to clean up, however LAWMA is demanding extra money which they have no rights to do.ALl the Local government needs do is provide an area in front or back of the market for traders to dump rubbish at closing time each day market will be clean. Within the market areas Im sure the traders/Associations can police that but outside it they cannot. It will also amaze you to know that all rubbish outside of the markets are not always from teh said markets.
In PHC where I have Biz at choba, WIke instruction is for all Biz to put thier rubish in the middle of the central reservation of the roads, and the River state version of lawma come to collect it at night.

Which of the markets?

All the markets are duly engaged and have their arrangements for waste pickups. Different arrangements ask you will get the info.

E. G Alaba Int has different associations different plazas and different excos for all these their associations and plazas all of them are individually engaged by the PSP operator and even the state agency involved they all have their arrangements for their waste management.

They can not say they never saw it coming non of the executives of the places sealed can't say that.

Same applies for tradefair

Some other markets like food markets especially have larger bins placed in a strategic place in their market.
Ofcos I know about being Engage, what Im saying is this, did the government fulfill thier own part of teh Engagement? did they provide refuse collection points? The traders are paying for this service to the govt. Are they not same people who contracted Lawma,Can I also aske you beween Alaba. Computer village have you seen any Container for refuse collection stationed out there? In my town in Delta state they have an open top container outside the market, everyone goes and dump their rubbish there in the evening or on thier way home and the council clears it early in the morning. If the government provides this kind of rubish point wont this solve the problems? I have been at places like Ladipo just as early 2018, I saw 1st hand how they enforce Environmental sanitation.

Many of you on this platform are so ignorant....closing down markets has no political or ethnicity label, its cos of poor Sanitation. Igbos are not only the ones in all those markets even Ghanaians, Cameroonian, Yorubas, Hausas, Fulani etc. Government cannot afford to close down where they generate income for a long period. They are simply instructing them or rather wiping all of them in line to take their environmental hygiene seriously. You guys so stop all these tribal nonsense.
This is where the people should ask Lawma some serious question, I know a very good friend of mine that owns a shop there or rather does import Biz there, the get taxed monthly for environmental fees which is meant for evacuation of Rubish, Now Lawma would leave the rubbish in the roads whither the traders have paid taxes its responsibility of the gvt to provide dumping site and evacuate rubbish promptly ie every nights. In the Uk we have loads of street market, once the market shuts down people clear their rubbish to the front of the market and the council comes to collect all the Rubish. Its never the responsibility of the traders to take their rubbish to rubbish tips or dumps miles away.
