Christian07: Am not ganna lie to you bro the truth of the matter is the place you say to take her to doesn’t seems friendly it sound like a place you take a girl to and end up at your house you should have considered other places like kfc, dominos to lick ice cream or mega chicken etc beside it’s ur first date and for er ppl not to see er is a place Nt meant for everyone
Are you suppose to be drinking beer on ur first date am confuse 1st date do not have to involve eating, it should be what you do not sit at home and prepare urself, We al eat at home so food is not all that wanting, going for a drink is more of a thing than eat n swallow. These are the difference between a girl and a lady! |
Romance › Re: First Date And She Refused To Come To A Cool Place I Suggested by erico2k2(m): 11:44pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
BestAccessories: You're right. I have clarified same with the OP in my other comments on the thread.
Beside, going on a date with a babe you meet offline shouldn't be rocket science.
He didn't play his card well.
He could have asked her to meet him in a neutral place for a start, then take her to the eatery/bar/lounge instead of asking her to come directly there. well, Im sure there was a build-up to this, however reasons given by the girl raises eye braw, stuff like my village people go there, is she going to date/marry the said village people or is she a teenager then I will take such person as immature or better still she got something to hide! |
Romance › Re: First Date And She Refused To Come To A Cool Place I Suggested by erico2k2(m): 11:27pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
BestAccessories: Well, basically if we meet online and we are meeting for the first time, I give the lady the honour of suggesting a place she is comfortable with for a start.
Maybe because I drive, it's convenient for me to navigate my way around and also remember I said First meeting.
For girls I meet offline, I suggest the place we meet. Patapata, I will come pick you up at your apartment and drive you to the location/venue.
Asking a girl I meet online to suggest a place we will meet for the first time allows me:
1. Understand if allow taste aligned. 2. The type of person you're truly are. 3. No strings attached, opportunity to japa if what I expect isn't what you got.
It works for me.
Asking her to suggest, doesn't mean I will accept the suggestion. It's a Suggestion, I asked for not Recommendation. What you are narrating is a total opposite of what the OP is saying, OP met her in a church, Online you both, meet in a safe place neutral to both of you somewhere you and her feel safe not just her. After the link-up, you can now arrange the 1st date.it is at this point we are o n same page as OP. |

BestAccessories: Oga, stop being a child. For first date, ask her to suggest a venue and location.
It's takes two to tangle, if she doesn't like the place you suggested, you should have asked her where is comfortable and convenient for her.
Up your game. U want to take a girl out for the 1st time and you want her to choose a place,?and you say you got game really ?? A date is meant to be a place she does not know to Introduce a wee element of surprise. asking her to chose is like telling her you gonna go dutch! |

One soldier (NCO) go born like 6 pikin, that's why most barracks are usually overpopulated with children and where there are so many kids from different background, you're bound to have juvenile deliquency. most of those crimes within and around the barracks are usually committed by those barracks children .. cc erico2k2 Odidigboigbo Nah true and if one of them is caught nothing will happen cos it might just be one Oga's son, however, the news about ordinary people guarding barracks won't be true though lol can you imagine that! |
Career › Re: Why Are People In These Professions Very Rude? by erico2k2(m): 8:03pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
qwertie1234: i understand that been rude and impolite is something personal but looking around, some professions habour large number of these rude and stern set of peeps and it makes me wonder..
1.Nurses; I recently went to a general hospital to see a friend and seeing the way these nurses handle patients makes me wonder if hostility is part of the nursing curriculum being taught in nursing school... A particular patient was screaming of pains and these nurses were just glued to their plasma television watching zeeworld.. I understand the work load is quite cumbersome but does that justify thier carlous attitude towards people they are meant to take care of...
2. Bankers; epecially the ones in the customer care stand...their attitude can be very annoying.
3.Nepa staff; hmmmm these ones ehn, their ear is selectively non receptive to the word "abeg"...most especially the ones assigned to disconnect light.
4. Doctors; though a few medical doctors are nice, there is still a large chunk of very rude medical doctors..u see them operating phone and chatting when a patient is right before them struggling for life.
This is not to say there aren't nice and dedicated staff in the above listed profesionals but a very good number of them are, in summary, quite rude to say the least..

Ordinary cult war is what he is declaring curfew thereby extending and multiplying the hardship of the already suffering Rivers people. So security can not be beefed up around that axis to curtail this gang war to the point that the entire community has to be punished.

NkanAkpanika: Brief history about Samuel Bill... The founder of this great mission below..
Samuel Alexander Bill (1864 in Belfast – 1942 in Nigeria) was an Irish Christian missionary and the founder of the Qua Iboe Mission (later renamed Mission Africa). Bill was raised in Ballymacarrett Presbyterian Church, east Belfast, but was most notably associated with Island Street Belfast City Mission Hall. His interest in missionary work was sparked by a visit to Belfast by Dwight L. Moody and Ira D. Sankey in 1874. He attended the Harley Missionary Training College in London, then under the leadership of Henry Grattan Guinness; and travelled to Nigeria to commence a work amongst the Ibeno people in 1887. The mission base was founded on the banks of the Qua Iboe River, and this base gave the name to the independent interdenominational mission that Bill founded. Root to our present predicament, these are the branches the west used to evade us Africans! |

Romance › Re: My Relationship Is Being Affected Because Of My Low Income. by erico2k2(m): 8:26pm On Nov 20, 2020 |
Afikoo: Good morning Nairalanders. I sure know you all fine.
I am writing this with heavy heart. I know we have super rich people here who rose from poverty to riches.
This life isn't balance. Done with school. Been working as security administrator in my church and I earn 80k. I have been planning on getting married. Have met my fiance Parents, they were happy. I have engaged her she is happy. All of a sudden the elder brother who isn't around is angry that I haven't spoken to him about my intention. I have earlier tried his line severallly and it isn't going through. Had to chat him and he told me I am not serious that I should grow up. A bullet in my heart.
Her mum has suddenly changed and is accusing me for not calling her always. This whole drama has gotten into my babe now she is talking about us suspending our marriage plan and try improving our income. (She is learning a skill)
I am fed up. Have suspended everything now. I have tried everything since I left school last year to improve my income. Apply for jobs here and there. Is just not cutting in.
Please, share your experience on how you were able to get out of this average life as a Nigerian.
Advise me and others still struggling to rise up. You can recommend jobs for me. I studied history and Diplomatic Studies. Have some certification in Leadership and human resource. Trust me, I can deliver on anything legal. I have the capacity, but haven't gotten the opportunity.
Patiently reading. Im gonna go straight to the point, Congratulation for taking this bold step to be a man, Now it's great that you know your self worth, stick to it, do not let anyone bully you into what you cannot handle, it is a wife you want to marry not a commodity you want to purchase. If the family are giving you stress, tell your fiancee that the whole situation is getting hot that you would like to take a breather and observe things from a safe distance, Watch out how everyone will change. Do not force yourself to think you have failed, the most important thing is you got hope and future everything else na Jara.if you to be wife can't see this then she is not the one.Be a man and be bold to make things happen the way you want after all you are the one who is going to spend and pay for the marriage not them. |

There is virtually no vehicular movement on Apapa and Tin can area/route due to horrible roads, parked trucks, tankers and trailers. I keep wondering how this current government reasons.. When roads are blocked and people spend hours everyday in traffic.
Oga Gov, providing alternative routes and easing stress off people should be your priority and not empowering traffic officers to fleece off residents of the state lack of enforcement is the problem in lagos .the commercial buses are number one culprits. in a bid to pick up passengers they will stop in the middle of the road and turn a 3 lane I to a one laned road.the commercial motorcycles do not help matters |
