Beautiful post you have here, but one thing I'll love to correct is the insinuation that this hypocrisy of the US began with Donald Trump.

While some of us who are very much anti-imperialism have always known about the United States' duplicitous nature, Donald Trump simply made it more visible for everyone else to notice, which is actually part of the reasons why the 'deep state' never liked him – unlike most politicians, he doesn't pretend.

You see, it's not just in elections... in nuclear proliferation, in trade, in government, in spycraft/sabotage, etc.. the US has always been hypocritical and as such, has very little right to police/control other countries when in fact they are the ones most guilty of a lot of these things.

Is Trump the first contender to doubt the electoral process that elected his opponent? Absolutely not!
Didn't Democrats spend more than three of the past four years talking about how Russia hacked and helped Trump win his first term?

I remember making a comment on this long ago, and I noted that these people didn't realize that by announcing to the world how hackers in Russia could successfully manipulate the US elections to favour Trump, they were actually making a fool of themselves by admitting they don't have a secure electoral system.

It's Trump's turn now, so make we all just sit down enjoy their shït show...

Oh well, I agree on some terms you've posited but I'd also like to make something clear. USA has the best electoral system in place in the whole world. You've got to be a superhuman to game the system. In 2016, the democrats claimed Russia rigged election for trump which was unfounded. Trump won that election. It's happening again as trump is alleging fraud in battleground states...but with no substantiated proof. Even those who claimed they had proofs were hiding behind the camera. They couldn't show their faces during interrogation. There's one thing I'd like you to note this morning. Trump may not have been the first contender to doubt the electoral process as you've said but he's merely making mockery of himself because he's expected to have understood the system better. You see, politicians are same everywhere in the world. They don't want to believe they could lose any election. I blame all the trump's political stroghead on the pollsters, the media and false projections. All these don't work all the time. Ahead of polls, the projections made always cause what I can call overconfidence on the part of the candidates. But when the opposite begin to happen, they start kicking and protesting. In 2016 ahead of polls, all the projections had leaned towards Hillary, with Democrats underestimating trump, the then dark horse and a new face in the American politics. When he won, they kicked.

Yesterday, same GOP won 2 more senate seats but has refused to call for a recount or file lawsuits like they did in battleground states and that's politicians for you. It also happens here. When the ruling party wins, the election isn't free and fair to the opposition but when it favours the latter, they hail the ruling party for not being partisan. They've forgotten the fact that, its the people who decide whom they want to win and not all the greedy politicians.

Trump only disgraced and disreputed America as a nation by behaving like a hooligan. He ought to have conceded defeat within 24 hours after losing. 2 days ago. The highly respected and unbiased independent observers called OAS said 2 days ago that, no evidence of rigging as alleged but trump still refused to concede. Can we say the OAS, the electors , the personnel employed to count ballots in various centres( most of whom might have bias for different parties but might not show it openly) , the traditionally republican state of Georgia where biden won and the former republican presidents and presidential candidates and members of the GOP who congratulated Biden were all working in favor of Biden? The answer is a capital NO! The people had chosen whom they preferred via the ballots so, Trump should just do the needful by conceding defeat. He should try again in the next 4 years like Israeli prime minister and some world leaders who had come back to prove their mettle and got reelected in the past had done. The USA ballots pass through stages before being counted, including screening and scanning by the computer, same way your visa is being scanned at POE and you can't game the system. Its a hard barrier to break.

How could he think he will win self? America is by far one of the most liberal country in the world. Trump himself does not represent the values of America and its even a dent on America’s image that a deranged unstable man like that could be president in the first place.

His case is just like that of Kanu of IPOB that instructed his minions not to vote while they mumuishly abstained from registering to vote, then the slow Kanu later came out on the eve of Election Day that they should vote. That made sure they were disenfranchised because it’s only people that have voters card that can vote. So Atiku the Cameroonian lost.

Now Trump instructed most of his voters to not vote through mail and that they should rather come out in person to vote on Election Day. Now when Democrat were busy producing mail-in-votes, the tantrum throwing old man is now wailing that election was rigged.

Many are definitely mad, Trump and Nnamdi Kanu the albino fugitive are actually part of those mad men!

Your second to the last paragraph got me cheesy

. Trump had millions of almanjiri followers who can believe anything. They worship him like god. Trump said, go to the polling booths personally, covid-19 isn't a threat and if he could survive it, anyone else can. Trump had deceived many in America on this covid-19 by advising them wrongly, which had led to deaths of many, the advice which no sane Nigerian would have taken taken in the first place. Trumps followers are so blind. On the other hand, biden said, covid-19 was deadly and people shouldn't take chances. He urged them to cast their votes and mail it to the various approved centres but must not be counted until the election day. Amazingly, both Democrats followers and a few of the republicans who didn't want to risk coming out to catch covid-19 mailed-in their ballots.

Why did trump think he won? Its simple, he was taking early lead in most states, because the votes of those who walked in personally to vote were first counted, those who were mainly republicans and some democrats who observed covid-19 protocols by wearing a mask to the polling centres to cast their votes as earlier on advised. By the time the mail-in ballots were being counted, it was swallowing trump's early lead and he kicked.

The same ballots were properly screened and read by the machines same way your visa would be scanned at the POE before entering America, before being counted. No Democrats or republicans were allowed in the counting centres yet, the republicans wanted to be granted access to observe. They said the stipulated counting time had passed so, the remaining ballots must be discarded, knowing fully well they were in a peculiar situation and people embraced the option to avoid being infected with covid-19. The court said counting should proceed. The same republicans said counting must also continue in states where trump was leading, imagine. Only fools would think Biden didn't win the election and the latter didn't even bother himself in dragging it. Trump is a disgrace to america the way he's acting desperately.

Joe Biden went to church last Sunday to thank God for the election victory. Most Africans have known Biden since apartheid days in South africa. He was instrumental to the SA's freedom. Google would help you in this regard. If trump was in that position at the senate then, south Africa would have rotten in the hands of their slave masters. I wouldn't know if anybody has observed that, in spite of Trump's and his almanjiri's rants in the USA and Nigeria, Biden remained unwavered, unperturbed grin

. It's foolish for any sane being to suggest that the USA presidential election of 2020 was fraudulent. It takes super intelligent beings to game the USA elections processes in which ballots were fully screened by machines in the eyes of non-partisan observers and personnel before being physically counted. Trump was only playing his trump card by opting into lawsuits.

The republican dominated state of Georgia where Biden won was a great proof. Unfortunately unlike Nigeria, Americans don't vote based on emotions or party loyalty. In the end, its still going to be about America and not about an individual and this is a great lesson we must learn here.

He was disappointed by his rigging machines this time as all channels were blocked. Even 2016 election which Russia helped Trump to win was exhumed again before the USA senate just yesterday, to which the former FBI testified. Trump hasn't been let out of that hook yet. Americans just decided to move on to avoid losing their reputations in the eyes of the world. I hope in the end , trump wouldn't be the first president in American history to go to jail.
