sexyking1: as if you read my mind |
YCE fed by Jagaban. nobody should expect them to have said otherwise. |
ecolime:They should just make that mistake of fielding him ![]() |
Na wah oo. When will this war end sef? Naija military chieves, I hail oo |
All thanks to ambode who did in 4 years what fashola did in 8 years. |
I wish I knew I'd miss my secondary schools days this much, I'd have relished every bit of it. Better friends are made in secondary school. Over 20 years of exiting secondary school, I still miss my friends and alma mater |
Una go register taya because over half of the population are poor |

I thought this matter had been laid to rest already. I wonder why you're still bringing it up, OP. The reasons we voted obaseki are one million and one. There's nothing like elephant project here. They're visible to the eyes. Just so you know, we didn't know obaseki as governor. We've known him since Oshiomhole was governor in edo. Forget all the lies Oshiomhole told about obaseki. Obaseki played a major role in Oshiomhole's winning the election twice. In fact, the latter even confirmed he was the brain behind his administration's succes. You can't expect a labour leader who's not exposed to have brought the largest ceramics company in west Africa and second largest in Africa to edo state, likewise the power plant which supples the ceramics company uninterrupted electricity, including the host communities. During the campaigns when some people were saying all sorts of things about obaseki, I was just laughing for their being emotional about party because they didn't know anything about edo state and obaseki. 2 weeks ago, lagos state governor said they just wanted to start payment of the 30k minimum wage whereas, obaseki had implemented and been paying same since February 2020 with the little resources at edo's disposal. Which civil servant would enjoy such and wouldn't want to vote obaseki? Oshomole was owing pensioners in the state but when obaseki came, he cleared all the arrears and paid them promptly. What about the teachers whose salary were increased , got trained and their classrooms and school buildings renovated with fans good toilets and better working environment? Those were the people who voted. The agric subvention came to mind . Those who benefited from this gesture were among those who voted. What of matket women who were relieved from street thugs and kabaka boys who were always harassing them forcing them to pay tax and same were being remited to a lagos company's account? Those were among the electrorate who voted obaseki. We don't have agbero like lagos in edo rather a structured arrangement in place for the revenue collection which gladdened the heart of edo NURTW, which also led to their endorsing obaseki openly. What of the shop owners who were denied ownership by oshiomohle by asking them to come and pay one million naira to own a shop but obaseki cut down to 500k when he came? Those were among the people who voted. What about the people like me and many people of like-minds, now seeing our vision for edo state being an industrial hub in near future materialising? Among other states given slots to build modular refinery, it was edo who has fulfilled the buhari-led administration vision in this regard. All things being equal, the refinery should start operation by 1st quarter of 2021. Obaseki govt has created the needed enabling environment to make this happen by providing the land, contributed over 700m naira to the refinery project. 2 companies were invited by obaseki who pulled resources together to make this happen. They call him an MOU governor whereas, it was same MOU he spareheaded that brought ceramics company to edo in Oshomole's admin. I can go on and on and on. Road constructions and Healthcare are normal things every sane governor should provide for their people , i'd have also mentioned roads and primary health centres built, equipped, powered by solar and renovated when he first came in 2016 as governor. Obaseki deserved more than governor. He's laid a good template for future election in Nigeria. This would be the first election to be conducted in Nigeria in which no death was recorded, where the candidates who were defeated accepted the result in good fate, the most transparent ever. Obaseki is a presidential material. We need more people like him both in the apc and pdp. He said there would be no violence and people must not take to violence for his winning sake, that he prefer to lose than shed human blood and he fulfilled his promise |
Brachaa:Hmmm. You don see devil before? Tell us ![]() |
garfield1:youre right but I want akeredolu back |
garfield1:PDP isn't better of course but the APC is getting worse now, can't you see?. There's something you seem not to know about me guy. I can't see blue and call it red never! Have you wondered why the PDP are taking back their territories without much efforts, despite apc being the ruling party? It shows something is wrong. Don't be disappointed in me, rather be disappointed in the apc for disappointing those of us who worked tirelessly in our various domains thinking we've got the best party ever. Look at the ranks and files of the party. No visible structures. Do you still think apc is as respected and accepted as it was in their first 3 years in power? Even efcc is being threatened for going the extra mile in curbing corruption in Nigeria. Most of those who formed the apc were members of the PDP who destroyed the party but still accusing the pdp of corruption today, their kettle calling pot black. Know this today, I'm not a party man because APC proved to Nigerian we've not had that party which comprises credible people who truly have the love of this country at heart and can encourage partisanship today. I support only those who fulfil what they've promised their people while campaigning. There are apc governors who have done well likewise PDP governors. Those are my governors and leaders, whom I can vouch for any yday. I travel nationwide and I could see what they are doing, no be for newspaper. If apc can get it right in 2023 by fielding one of those performing givernors whom you and i know very well, I would support that person, regardless of where the person hails from. Likewise, if the pdp produces a credible candidate ahead of 2023, irespective of region but the apc didn't do same, I'd vote the candidate from the pdp. Gone are the days when we would stay glued to a particular party even if the party isn't doing well and with no sign of improvement. If the apc crumbles today its their fault. Until we get it right part wise, its the best choice we should go for , istead of pursuing party loyalty by voting the wrong person. Did I not see pdp when I voted oshiomohle, obaseki and buhari? Why not vote atiku and the pdp candidates in edo back then instead? Once buhari leaves, the party dies. I wish a new party be formed and none of those in power ( except the few performing ones) is allowed to join. |
garfield1:lol. You've started again. Okay oo. I go remind you |
TheRealProphet:your own version of the bible get as e be oo . You sure say no be yahoo version you dey hold so? |
Arrewa:I've said no problem bro. Cheers |
Dreambeat:maybe not officially married to them. |
Simplyleo:which evidence...someone I know? |
Arrewa:Ba damuwa! |
Arrewa:No need to argue. Maybe he's divorced them. Whose picture is showing at the back of his phone, his cousin's? |
Arrewa:okay oo. I hear you. If you know Dr Suleiman, former MD of fmc katsina, then you know this guy. Here's a social medium where I don't want to say much. Maybe he has divorced them, possibly |
Arrewa:No sir. I know him closely. Even the phone he's holding contains the picture of one of his children. Take a look . So far he can take care of the young gal, no wahala. Happy married life to him |
Hmmm. This guy still dey marry? Wetin happen to his 2 young wives? Even the phone he's holding contains the picture of one of his children. Well it's allowed in Islam, hml |
aviara:lol. I don tell people say apc no go see beyond 2023 but dem no wan believe, same way they were bragging that obaseki would not win edo. A house built with spit would be brought down by dewdrops, its an old adage. Buhari is the reason many as still in the apc. Once his tenure expires, the party scatters |
Oga Feyemi, come to the PDP. The only truly national party. Forget what happened in the last. A great lesson has been learnt. We are expecting you sir.

Disclaimer12:You know what? Human beings are ungrateful. We're never satisfied. God doesn't need any other thing from us than give thanks to him. Money we donate in churches doesn't go to Him cos He doesn't need our money. If food no dey today, e go dey tomorrow. I remember one guy in the 90s who was raided in a similar circumstance at alagomeji bus stop yaba. Then the raging operation sweep was launched in lagos by the military government. This guy, my senior in secondary school was just walking on his own he was going home after visiting a friend around ojuelegba who was also a student. They were on break that time. There was this robbery which took place at one pepper soup joint around that area . The woman's pouch where she kept money was forcefully removed and made away with, by the armed robbers. Being an influential and popular woman in that area, she quickly called the police at panti, close to her place on her nitel line and the police sealed the steet both entry and exit points. Yaba steets are so tight that, once you enter a street, you cannot take any short cut to the next street, you must exit at the other end. Its sealed with buildings on both sides and very long streets. Before the police arrived, those boys had run away. Instead if investigating, the police just packed all those seen on that street and took them to panti police station. Anyone who knows panti in yaba in those days would not want his or her case to be transferred there. They waste lives like pure water and many innocent lives had been terminated by the wicked police at panti in the past. In short, this guy's family members were worried because he's been away for over a week. They looked everywhere for him before someone now told them to try and check panti police station because a lot of innocent people had ended up there for no justifiable reasons. Reluctantly, they went to panti. Some people who had come earlier had released their people but this guy didn't know who to send to his people. No gsm that time. They gave him 24 hours from the day his family members located him after which they'd finish him. Right in his presence, they had killed like 4 people among those raided whose family couldn't trace them but this guy kept saying he's innocent and his family could locate him. He was just lucky. The first day he got to panti, he said those among them, who had IDs were asked to go free after the raid but he wasn't with his ID that time, even though the military govt advised everyone to go about with their means of identification. It was so though that time. The moment his people saw him, he was released. The police collected 50k that time, which is like 500k nowadays before letting him go. May we not fall victim of circumstances in life |
Timekeeper:your last paragraph has said it all. The fear of kidnappers is the beginning of wisdom |
mbaboy:why won't they? I'm apc myself and I voted obaseki. Obaseki picked a nomination form to run under the apc. He nevet decamped. He went to visit buhari after he picked the nomination form to officially inform him. The abrakadabra of Oshiomhole led to obaseki's disqualification. He moved to the pdp and we moved with him. He's a true and rare leader. |
PrudencyFeats:is it that 3 apc governors would decamp to the pdp or several apc ststes would vote pdp upon the expiry of the 8-year tenure of their governors? I don't see apc beyond 2023. A new party would be formed and all of them would move. Fulanis are political prostitures, from ANPP to CPC now APC and the new party soon to be unveiled. Na yorubas wey dem dey take religion and position dey deceive i pity pass. Only the VP position is the only relevant one left for them in this administration and the man can't influence anything as he has been caged by the cabals. For me, VP position is nothing. Hope they're wise come 2023. Else, tinubu would sell them off again |
Osagyefo98:better call a friend ![]() |
Racoon:would you as governor have accepted to be dashing Oshomole 50m every month from the state allocation that wasn't even enough? Where's the money nah? No wonder lots of governors don't perform once they assume office because of the heavy bandage put on them by their godfathers who put them there. |
You're a leader indeed . Now I know Yorubas would say, ariwo ko ni music...meaning music no be for noise. If your music is sweet in the ears, noise isn't necessary. Obaseki is a quiet but, dogged fighter |
