FamilyRe: My Dad Still Beats My Mum After 24 Yrs Marriage by esere826: 4:49am On Sep 11, 2014
bizzybii: thanks guys, i am 23 a female. and i hv an elder bro as well. its rather painful that my bro supports my dad. he direspects her totally. i know my mum is not a saint. she has her own flaws, but i personally blve that any man that lays he's hands on a lady is such a looser, no matter how much he has achieved.

the recent incident b4 i left home was 2 months ago when my grand mum died. my grand mum was previously living with my dads sister is onitsha. he said in the five years she was there my mum never took care of his mum. when she died, he asked my mum to call his sis and tell her thanks for taking care of their mum huh huh huh

i was shocked when i heard this. i had to call from school, and i told him point blank that my mum is not obliged to take care of his step mum when her daughter was alive and kicking, and she doesnt owe my aunty any thank u for taking car of her own mother.

he send my aunt more than 50k a month for grands ma's upkeep and never give my mum money, she has to beg for anyone he gives her. i told him that was not fair and he said that he put her in a job that thats his own way of helping her, that was the shock of my life.

he picks offence at the slightest thing, anytime there is a pro in the house his sis will be the first to hear. they do things without involving my mum. no one regards her in the family. i guess he uses this a punishment for my mum anytime he offends her, the other day she had to go for scan after a fresh round of beating of which he refused her money to see a doctor.
the last time i tried to speak to him he hung up on me telling me that my mum has indroctrinated me and i mam taking sides.

the truth is dat i am trying my best but its like nothing is gettin better, no matter how anyone blackmails my mum she is still my mother and i dont want anything to happen to her.

pls advice me on how to handle this
Encourage ur mum to become financially independent
after this she shld pack from the house or kick ur dad out
......life is too short to waste on unhappiness

Ishilove: Hian. Iriri aye. undecided

Ebuetor, you definitely have a very strong gift which God will reveal its purpose, in time to come.

My own experience is something I have NEVER told anyone.

I was about 7 or 8 years old when my folks took me to my aunts place to spend the summer holidays. My aunts husband worked late most nights but when returning home, he always bought pastries for the kids to enjoy. So this particular night when he came home he told us that he didn't buy anything because he was too tired to branch to the shop to get them. I was disappointed, but convinced that maybe he was playing games on us (he is a very jovial person) and most likely he had kept the pastries in his car. When we least expect it, he would go to fetch them from the vehicle and surprise. I watched him as he dropped the car keys on top of the television set and go into the bathroom to bath. Being the impatient pastry lover that I was, I unlocked the door and went downstairs to the car parked outside. The time was around past 10pm.

When I got to the car, a blue coloured volkwagen passat, I pressed my face on the window and tried to peer into the dark interior to see if I could catch a sight of the pastries. To my eternal befuddlement, I saw a lady inside the vehicle. The interior was dark so I couldn't see her face but I could sense her smiling. She said "How are you, smallie?" I replied, "fine, thank you ma". She now said "Oya go back inside, you are not supposed to be outside by this time."

I didn't argue with her. I quickly went back into the house, locked the door and sat down to wait for my uncle to finish bathing and go downstairs to meet his 'friend' in the car. To my shock, Uncle bathed, had dinner and went straight to bed. I didn't sleep throughout the night, wondering who she was. The following day which was a Saturday, Uncle stayed in bed till late morning without going downstairs to meet his 'friend'. I went back in the morning to check the vehicle but there was nobody there and the vehicle was locked.

Till date, I still wonder at what I saw in that vehicle.
so u wan spoil ur uncle groove?

RomanceRe: How Does Love Work? by esere826: 11:50am On Sep 06, 2014
Adaeze003: I've heard allot about love and I'm sure you all have too. I've been thinking about all I've heard and I came up with a few questions.

1. Does love exist?
yep it does
for girls it means something within tells them that the guy is their superman or superpurse
for guys it means something in them tells them that the girl can take and germinate seed plus she can pound yam

2. Is there anything like 'The One'?
Nope. But there is the two, three or hundred
Like TD Jakes will say, "if you're meant for "the one" you'd be in trouble if she lives on the other side of the ocean"

3. Can one really love someone enough to live with the person for ever/is love enough for marriage?
It's a fact that most of our parents and grand parents didn't really 'fall in love' before they got married but they stayed married for long and some till death. But in this generation where people 'fall in love' before getting married divorce is in every corner, why?
You live with people through out their lives because of friendship, loyalty and companionship
if one lives in UK and the other in Nigeria without a combination of these na yawa be that

4. Can love really die?
How can one say he/she loves someone one day and hate her/him the next day? What kills love?
yep love can die
dont believe the movies
once the other party does not meet obligations of seed carrying ability, supermanness, superpurse, loyalty, friendship, companionship,
the love will suffer cardiac arrest and die

Conclusion -Anita God help you

I have written at great length with a single purpose of enabling us come to term with what is

I have no doubt that Pastor Chris is anointed
I have no doubt that he is also dedicated to spreading the gospel
I also have no doubt that he works miracles in the name of God
I also understand the gospel of sinlessnes

But,
If I hear a story that someone was paid by members of the ministry to fake being healed
I wont disbelieve the story, simply because the ministry is dogged for the gospel
In fact you'd here them say things about "if christians are as committed as terrorists
the gospel will go far"

If I hear stuff about money laundry
that wan na small thing

If I hear stuff from his wife about Chris committing adultery
and he denies
I know that they are both sinless and will be comfortable in lieing
and that even if it is true, Chris will deny for the sake of the gospel
and so will his followers for the sake of the gospel

i have no issues with any of this
but my heart goes out to a woman that took what only a few women will take from their husband all for the sake of the gospel
now small small members that probably laughed at Chris when he started are suddenly his boxing ring supporters

before you become the next victim, stop and ask yourself
"what is your own vision apart from being a follow, follow?"

How much do you believe in the gospel of sinlessnes?

I had an ex who was a member of CE, and tried hard to pull me in
In one of our discussions, she mentioned excitedly about the none-sin nature of believers
I agreed with her, but sought to test her understanding

"Honey" I said, "what this means is that if someone is gay and born-again the person cannot sin"
she frowned.
I went on, "if someone is born-again and goes on assasinating people, he cannot sin"
I could see at this point that she was not comfortable anymore

I pushed on, "and if I curse your anointed pastor, i cant be said to be sinning too"
I lost her there

With the passing of time, my girl began to change
she became more dishonest with me. All for the sake of the gospel.

This brought to my remberance what was spoken by jesus
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make
one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves"

Question marks on Sex, money, fraud, dishonesty and sin

You've been fed with the word of God
which is extremely positive
So u shldn't be saying things like "I dont have"

So when ministry needs money
you have to have to give
so saying or thinking otherwise undermines your own faith

So a MOG tells you to give £1000 to the gospel
and you only have £500

Apart from not wanting to slack in faith
you secretly want to be a noticeable member of the giving club
so that pastor will notice you and even lay his hands on you for being a giver
Plus you genuinely feel very much like giving to God

Now this is where your core values come into play
if you have a 50/50 morality about 419 but have never done it before
and then you feel the strong urge to give beyond your means
just playing around with your laptop to access the extra £500 from a mugu
might be the next option,..afterall, you're not sinning
plus you'd also get extra for yourself

if you have 50/50 morality about sleeping with a sugar daddy
your mates have been doing it and making loads of cash
besides, this sugar daddy is a fine boy
why not go ahead. You can even win him to christ

Sealing the complete buy-in
When you accept the message of perpetual salavation
one or two things could happen to you.

1) You feel emboldened to come before God without any sense of guilt no matter your attrocities
in fact, you could just finish screwing a wh.ore and immediately start praise and worship
2) You are a little bit worried that it is too good to be true. What if it is not completely correct
3) You are left a little bit empty and yearning because you no longer have to deal with the guilt of sin
which occupied your previous cat and mouse relationship with God.

So now, here comes the man of God, working miracles and still preaching this message
and telling you to give to propagate this good news
With all the three points i listed working on your subconscious
you feel compelled to protect the source of the goodnews especially when it is requested of you
as it it said, "strike the Shepard and the sheep will be scattered"
Protect him you will, at least for your own psychological good

Then when you are requested to also give sacrificially towards this particular good news
it somehow fits the whole picture perfectly
This I will draw out in the next post.
Christianity EtcRe: Profiling Chris Oyakhilome and BLW by esere826(op):
The forming of cults, ..Chris's cult
This is a strong term and it immediately conotes negatives
But here, i use it loosely to mean a closely guided society

No matter what you say about Chris, one thing seems extremely clear
he wants to win as much souls as possible to Christianity
Also clear is that he wants them to have his same kind of xtianity
lead by him

Chris successfully did this by shutting off his followers from mainstream xtianity
as he won souls, he ensured that they stayed within, drank only from his words
dissed the message preached by others and married only amongst themselves
he ensured that he was constantly at the top view of his followers
only next to Jesus
in such a way that if a pastor breaks away
it would have little or no effect on his church
He also encouraged his followers to invest massively and sacrificially in his church
thereby swelling the church accounts beyond your wildest imagination
Christianity EtcRe: Profiling Chris Oyakhilome and BLW by esere826(op):
Now that you are saved, ..you are saved no matter what

I'll interject
You've heard this before? "those who are born of God cannot sin"
mainstream christians interprete this to mean that if you sin or continue to sin that means you're not born again or are backslided
the other school of thought suggests that this simply means that once you're born again then no matter what you do, it can't be labelled as sin
For the sake of argument, I'll call the sin after being born again as moral bankruptcy
and then use both terms interchangeably

Anyone with the minutest intellect will know immediately that is a very tricky gospel
Even Paul in birthing this gospel was quite worried and said:
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?"

Now this is the bit that seems to seperate Chris from the others who share his view
Some try avoid mentioning 'sin' or avoid condemning folks that sin
Joseph prince is emphatetic that alhough you are saved you'd be a good ambassador if you avoid sin
he argues just as Chris does that the more you expose yourself to God, the easier it is for you to minimise moral bankruptcy

Chris and his ministry is however very frontal in the issue of sin or moral bankruptcy
he puts it on the front burner then pushes it away as inconsequential
that's why you hear controversial issues such as permissible abortion, permissible divorce, scanty dressing and masturbation emanating from his church

nOw when you have such an ideology, which will naturally be kicked against by the mainstream xtians
and you desire to grow it into a world view
you then need to protect it till it becomes the norm
A tool that is used in acheiving this is a cult.
Christianity EtcRe: Profiling Chris Oyakhilome and BLW by esere826(op):
If 1-1=0, then 0+1=1

Chris's Teaching is extremely simple and goes like this.
One man, Adam brought sin by which all his seed is condemned
no matter how good or bad you are.
the 2nd man brought redemption/grace/life by which all his seed are saved
no matter how good or bad you are.

In the xtian history, this is not the first time this message has been preached
we can argue that Paul the apostle first preached this
in contemporary times, you'll hear visible men
like Joseph Prince, TD Jakes, Joel Osteen also preach this same gospel
(i also ascribe to this strain of the gospel)

PoliticsTHISDAY: Australian Negotiator: Politicians Funding Boko Haram by esere826(op): 9:04am On Aug 28, 2014
Zacheaus Somorin
with agency report

A Perth-based international adviser, Dr. Stephen Davis, who survived months of extreme danger to try to rescue more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by terrorist group Boko Haram, has alleged that one of the primary sources of funding for the terror group is Nigerian politicians.

THISDAY had exclusively reported that one of the key federal government negotiators trying to secure the release of the Chibok girls from the clutches of Boko Haram was Davis.

Davis has worked in Nigeria in the past with the Archbishop of Canterbury and Head of the Church of England, Justin Welby, to negotiate the release of kidnapped oil industry workers in the Niger Delta.
Speaking yesterday in an interview on ABC News, an Australian television station, Davis, 63, said he had realised the only way to stop the kidnappings was to stop the sponsors of Boko Haram.

While Al Qaeda was involved in training Boko Haram recruits, Davis said one of their major sources of funding - aside from raiding banks - was Nigerian politicians.

“That makes it easier in some ways as they can be arrested, but of course the onus of proof is high and many are in opposition, so if the president (Goodluck Jonathan) moves against them, he would be accused of trying to rig the elections due early next year,” he said.

“So I think this will run through to the election unabated. These politicians think that if they win power they can turn these terrorists off, but this has mutated.

“It’s no longer a case of Muslims purifying by killing off Christians. They are just killing indiscriminately, beheading, disembowelling people - men, women and children and whole villages.

“I would say it's almost beyond the control of the political sponsors now. Terror groups are linking up in Somalia, southern Sudan, Egypt and we have fairly strong evidence they are talking with ISIS members.
“They will link up with ISIS and Al Shabaab and I think that what we are seeing in that region is the new homeland of radical Islam in the world,” he told his interviewer.

Davis, who returned to Australia after a four-month sojourn with rare footage of the intense fighting in Nigeria's North-east, as Boko Haram stepped up efforts to establish an Islamic state, said he established extensive contacts with tribes and terrorist groups in Africa, including three small cells of Al Qaeda, while working as a troubleshooter for oil and gas company Shell in the Niger Delta.

When news broke in April about the girls’ kidnapping from a school in the village of Chibok, near the Cameroun border, Davis, who had recently moved to Perth from London, decided he could not sit on his hands.

During the journey in North-eastern Nigeria, his life was threatened more than once, but his Australian passport saved him.

“When confronted by groups with an AK-47 in my face they'd say, ‘you are American, we have to kill you’,” Davis said.

“When you say, no I’m not American, they think you are British, and say you will still die, but when I said I’m Australian, they said that’s all right. I have no idea why but it’s certainly been helpful.”
The devout Christian managed to smuggle out of the country footage of a handful of schoolgirls who escaped from Boko Haram.

They detail the atrocities they endured, including being raped almost on a daily basis.
Following media reports that nobody knew where the girls were, he decided to reach out to his contacts.
“I made a few phone calls to the Boko Haram commanders and they confirmed they were in possession of the girls,” he said.

“They told me they’d be prepared to release some as a goodwill gesture towards a peace deal with the government, so I went to Nigeria on the basis of being able to secure their release.”

Arriving in Nigeria, Davis quickly set up talks with commanders and he believed he had brokered a deal.
Fearing being arrested, the Boko Haram commanders - holding the girls across the border in Cameroun - had a list of conditions.

They wanted the military to stand down and promised to drop the girls in a village before phoning to give their exact location.

Davis said they lived up to their promise, but in a region ravaged by war and corruption, the rescue was sabotaged.

“The girls were there, 60 girls, there were 20 vehicles with the girls,” he said.
“We travelled for four-and-a-half hours to reach them, but 15 minutes before we arrived they were kidnapped again by another group who wanted to cash in on a reward.

“The police had offered a reward of several million naira just 24 hours before we went to pick them up.
“I understand, from the Boko Haram commanders I spoke to, the girls eventually ended up back with them.

“I don't know what happened to the group that took them but I suspect it wasn't good,” he disclosed.
Davis said a young man kidnapped by Boko Haram and used as a driver later helped a handful of girls to escape.

One kidnapped girl, who managed to avoid having her mobile phone confiscated by turning it off and hiding it in her bra, managed to call her family while hiding in bushes, but had no idea where she was or which direction she should be heading.

After being told to walk west by following the sunset each evening, the four girls managed to cross the border from Cameroun and into Nigeria before being reunited with their families.
So far they are the only girls to have escaped from a Boko Haram camp.

When Davis later tried to contact, via text, the young man who helped them, he received a sobering reply.
“The person you are trying to contact has gone on a journey from which there is no return,” the reply read. “He was an infidel.”

Davis said the longer he stayed in Nigeria the more it dawned on him the kidnappings would not end.
“It became very clear that if I was able to get 50 girls released, then another group would kidnap 70 or 80 more. So by freeing 50 you were consigning 70 or 80 more to the same fate,” he explained.

Davis said initially journalists from around the world including CNN, the ABC and BBC flocked into the country, but they concluded it was far too dangerous to send any crew into the North-east of the country.
He said since then, the violence in North-east Nigeria and the threat of foreign journalists being kidnapped and beheaded, there has been limited coverage of the crimes being committed by Boko Haram.

“Boko Haram used to telephone Nigerian journalists and give them a story, but that doesn't happen anymore,” he said.

“They go straight to social media. They post their own material and they’ve learnt to become very savvy on social media and use it as an instrument to terrorise.”

Davis, who has a PhD in political geography, has worked as an adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

He also worked for Shell in Nigeria in an advisory capacity between 2002 and 2004.

CONCLUSION
Although there is another group that see Jonathan simply as a failure
and would rather that any other 'capable' person takes the reign of government
whether in PDP or APC. This group is in the minority.

SO in conclusion, when you see people pointing to ether APC or PDP as the ideal part
be rest assured that their support is driven by either one
or a combination of more than one of the 'ideologies' that I mentioned above

....which of these is yours?

Ideology 5: Ethnic Politics

Some ethnic nationalities feel that they have been previously seen as second class citizens
In Jonathans PDP, they see a psychological reversal of fortune
You will see such people in the South South and South East

Others see APC as a vehicle to show that their ethnic group
is the intellectual driver and King makers of Nigerian politics
You will see such in the South West

2)
Religious neutral (a)
This category, are not particularly bothered about the religiousness of parties

The candidate can be a christian, muslim or sharia promoter for all they care
they've lived side by side with christians and muslims all their lives
You'd find this category in the south west and middlebelt

Religious neutral (b)
These are mainly xtians who like the (a) category, are not particularly bothered
about the religiousness of parties/candidates
What they might be bothered about are parties/candidates
that they percieve to pushing an islamic agenda
they can be found in all South and Middlebelt

New Group: Pro -Xtian
Jonathan has been accused of causing religious divide never before experienced in Nigeria
The reason is because for the first time, there is a new group of pro-xtian voters.
Jonathan's team have painted APC as both a muslim and extrimist party
And has whipped up a previously silent group by empasising that muslims seek to dominate xtians
This new group is heavilly pro xtian and anti -muslim.
The aim is to push South West and Middlebelt xtians to the side of PDP
PoliticsRe: APC = PDP But With Some Fundamental 'ideological' Differences by esere826(op): 4:00pm On Aug 26, 2014
Ideology 4: Religious politics

Previously there were only 3 main religious political affiliations
1) Pro -islamist
This group have a strong inclination to vote only for Muslim candidates,
preferably muslim (especially sharia inclined) candidtates from the Core north,
Middlebelt, then SouthWest in that order

This category can be found in the core north and previously supported CPC
'For now, their loyalty is with APC because of Buhari
PoliticsRe: APC = PDP But With Some Fundamental 'ideological' Differences by esere826(op): 4:00pm On Aug 26, 2014
Ideology 3: Enhancing Party Competition
Some although believing that the parties are no different support APC.
This is because they appreciate that is dangerous for Nigeria to be a one party state
For example, previously, under a PDP monopoly
you could go to sleep knowing that whoever emerges PDP flag bearer will be the president
Thanks God that there is now at least some doubt.

The folks who freely pushed for the two party approach is the media
they carried 'progressive' stories of the APC while ignoring some of its 'retrogressive' stories
Interestingly although the media is many times thought to be owned by the south West
a huge percentage of the top 'National' media houses are actually owned by South South and East folks
So don't be surprised if closer to elections you start seeing a more balanced narrative.
PoliticsRe: APC = PDP But With Some Fundamental 'ideological' Differences by esere826(op): 4:00pm On Aug 26, 2014
Ideology 2b: Some PDP "conservativeness"

PDP on the other hand is hinged on some 3 or 4 men
They are Obasanjo, IBB, Annenih and maybe Ekwueme

These men (asides from Ekwueme) can best be described as conservatives
or worse retrogressives.

You can be 100% sure that they wont decamp from PDP to any party
They can support other parties against theirs
but they are not going no where
Everyone else, including their kids, followers, associates
and President GEJ won't hesitate to decamp from PDP to other parties if need be.

However the influenc of these men apart from Anenih

Ideology 2a: Some APC "progressiveness"

APC's ideological difference from PDP is hinged on two men. They are Tinubu and Buhari.
I honestly cant say that these men are not progressives -at least within Nigeria political space.
No matter your arguments,
from their history, you can say that they are at least anti-establishment or anti-status quo

Every other politician in APC will be more than happy to decamp if the oppurtunity beckons.
Atiku, Saraki, El Rufai, Lai Mohammed, Oshiomole, ?Fashola? etc. will easily jump ship.

Now, if Buhari and Tinubu's influence in APC whittles down
there is a possibility that they might get out of the party,
or even support other parties such as the PDP against their party,
but you can be 99% sure
that they will not suddenly become card carrying members of PDP

Ideology 1: Belle politics

-Some are paid to be e-communication supporters
-Some are presently members of parties
-The relatives or benefactors of some are stunch members of parties
and so will receive goodies if their brothers party is in power
(Remember the Cramjones/FFK/APC connection. That is assuming Cramjones is not FFK)

These set of people actually have little or no loyalty to any political party
they will switch once their meal ticket switches

Water poured from cup to cup

Ever seen kids play by turning same water from one cup to another
then pretend that the cups magically make the water different stuff like tea or juice etc?

Well Nigerian adult politicians play the same game
One minute they are progressives in APC, the next they are anti-establishment in PDP

Despite this, the parties do represent some fundamentally different ideologies
and therefore, mean different things to different people
Some folks are explicitly concious of this, others gravitate towards the different ideologies
but cannot place their fingers on what exactly it is.

So what they do is to constantly highlight the strenght of the parties that they support
while pointing out the weakness of the other party
