'All the Nigerians are gonna be there like 'gimme Coca Cola, gimme me beef, why you have no beef left?

I want beef.

''And I'm just gonna be there like, 'Sorry sir, we ran out of beef'.
'All the Nigerians are gonna be there asking for f****** upgrades because they haven't got enough leg room because their B**s are in their way.
Big d**** like this swinging from side to side.'

British Airways has launched an investigation after a video emerged of an air stewardess making racist comments about passengers on a flight toNigeria.

The woman, dressed in a BA uniform, apparently filmed herself as she was about to fly from London Heathrow to Abuja on Friday night.
The footage was recorded in her car and has been circulated among shocked cabin crew who reported.
The airline said today: 'We expect the utmost professionalism from our staff when they are representing British Airways.

We are investigating this video.

It sounds more like she has learnt the nIgerian yabis humour and is enjoying it.
It actually sounds like she sees the whole experience as fun and that she fancies the Nigeria guys because of their tools

Politics / Re: VIDEO: Nnamdi Kanu Preaching One Naijeriya During GEJ's Tenure by esere826: 11:35am On Sep 15, 2017
MichaelSokoto:
A few years ago, before Nnamdi Kanu started championing the breakaway of the south-east region, before the clamour for Biafra became his sole agenda, he was an advocate of a united Nigeria.

At the time, Goodluck Jonathan was the president of Nigeria and Kanu was based in London, UK.

In this video of a protest held by Nigerians in London against the Boko Haram insurgency, Kanu can be seen condemning those who were “determined to tear the country apart”.

Kanu had said: “We are protesting about the killing of families by people who are determined to tear the country apart and it is not something we support, it is not something we would like to see continue.

“If that continues, it will lead to a violent disintegration of the country, there will be no more Nigeria for anyone to go to. There will be no Nigeria for anyone to refer to. We cannot allow this nonsense to continue so something must be done.

“The only thing the terrorists can accomplish is the break up of Nigeria.”

Some officials of the Buhari administration have alleged in the past that Kanu’s secession movement started after Jonathan lost the 2015 presidential election.

The man Kanu is consistent in speaking against what he sees as the North's determination to control Nigeria ...its not like i care about him

If tommorrow an igbo man is president and kanu thinks a nothern cabal is intimidating the president ..his protest my change from biafa sessesion to protest for the expulsion of the core north from Nigeria just like Gideon Orkar suggested.

A friend of mine was fired this morning after carrying out a duty that ordinary would attract commendation. The company desperately needed a certain registration from a regulatory body which process has lingered long before now and has cost the company so much money without reasonable progress even before he was employed.

He told the MD (AMERICAN) that it could be done if given the opportunity. He was given a go ahead. In less than one week he brought the certificate from the regulatory body.

He was commended and promoted. This is the second week after the promotion.

He saw a termination letter on his table with undisclosed reason. Access to all network and email was blocked. In fact security men were waiting to ease him out. He was given just 30mins to tack his personal items shocked shocked

All your friend needs to do is to contact the MD and ask if he is aware that he's been fired and no reason given to him.
No need to beg.

Religion / Re: The So Called Voice Of The Holy Spirit. by esere826: 11:05pm On Aug 05, 2017
Martinez19:
Many christians do talk about God speaking to them. On further investigation, it turns out that it's either lies or exaggeration. Exaggeration because they want to keep the faith real or add realness to it. Many christians will tell you that the holy spirit spoke to them but why you ask them that did they hear an audible voice, they would tell that it is not really an audible voice but their thoughts. They will tell you that good thoughts are of God, really? undecided atheist don't think good thoughts too?

How ever, I leave the stage for atheists and christians. Christians I want to know if you have had an audible voice before.

Dude, I'm not interested in being probed nor turning what i'll tell you into some atheistic battle in ridicule.
I wont speak after this and please, feel free to dismiss me as an unreliable witness.

Yes, just as you've said, I suspect that many christians surmise their concience (which even aethists also have) as the voice of God.

However, I have audibly heard God twice -the first time i was sick, so i thought i was hallucinating -You on your part can chalk it up to my sickness, that's scientifically logical.
The second time I heard him clearly, there was no room to doubt -feel free to say my mind was playing tricks on me, but i definitely heard something and i was fully awake.

As per thoughts being addressed as the voice of God, i tend to be skeptical because everyone can call their thoughts the voice of God hence leading to conflicting ideologies. However, there was this one time that a "thought" dropped into my thoughts. It was a money which was not a round figure. It hurt me to do what this "thought" wanted but when I did, the recipient smiled and said the money was an exact figure for something which I'll keep private and also avoid exaggeration about.

Interestingly I still dont refer to that "thought" as God speaking to me (maybe later I'll start doing so). I just refer to it as sensing something from God, because it was not a voice at all, it just dropped in.

"the reason your faith no longer works"
??

That is not a reasonable sentence construction. |It's like saying "the reason your jump no longer jumps"

Faith works.
If its not working, then its no faith in the first place.
You'r probably trying to say
.... "the reason your hope no longer works"
or
... "the reason your hope no longer leads to faith".

peterdrury:
Good evening everyone, in my place of work, my colleagues have this habit of been wasteful. I recently gained employment in a bank as a contract staff. My task is to count notes and give it to whoever is in charge to post it(Head teller). In processing this cash, I may need to use a piece of paper to write the cash when it's not up to a pack(100) and also, the use of rubber band is needed too. Here comes the things I find absurd, my colleagues don't care about the rubber band and they will rather tear a new wrapper rather than use previous ones or the ones brought in by customers. When I try to pick these papers and rubber band from the floor to use, they call me a JJC. They said I should not bother, that the bank has money, they will purchase it when we need it.

I totally feel it's wrong, they can't use their own properties the way the use that of the bank.

I wrote this cause I want to know if this is what happens in every work place, do guys engage in this act of not handling company properties efficiently? I hate waste when it involves me directly.

Reusing those previous wraps and band might be quite unhygienic you know

DeadWrong:
Why won't they relocate? Your kidnap their employees, bomb their infrastructures despite the social and community development programmes. What else do you want? You sabotage their pipelines. Forcados is down; they repaired it, it didn't last one week, these fools bombed it again. Oil companies are not breaking even... The IOCs are just bearing the losses due to strong financial support from their parent company. While some of the indigenous oil companies have packed up, some have laid off staff and some are unable to export their crude because they evacuate through just one route.

Only those who are not in the industry would think the companies just drill and produe oil without giving back to the society. That's a big lie! They have massive community development projects they embark upon..but like the typical greedy Nigerians that they are, they prefer cash gift to development. And when they get the money, they lavish it on women and ogogoro and then come back for more. The oil companies are not fools.
You want them to recruit you by force when they already have a sizable number of you working for them already. The current business climate doesn't favor bringing in more people but una no wan hear..."they must just recruit us anyhow he go be"
E&P business is not for children. Investments are massive and stakes are high...No company will put you on the rig to because you're an indigene and you don't have the requisite qualifications and skills. Cos one mistake from while on the rig will kill others, destroy the massive investment of the company and destroy company's reputation. Then the company will pay fines and litigation fees. these yoots don'treason well at all.

Bunch of misfits who think the oil companies owe them for discovering oil at their backyards. They owe you nothing. You were not there when they pump in a lot of money to explore for the crude..daily rig rate is around 1 million dollars and yet some jobless yoots think the oil companies should lick their ass... nonsense.

Dude what exactly are you saying? You're mixing two unrelated events here.
Granted that just as you highlighted, a large number of Niger Delta youths in host communities are nuisance to development, you miss the mark.

That a HQ is relocated does not mean that Shell's operational staff will not remain on ground in communities to continue with business as usual.

The HQ is were management/administrative staff work in. They have little or no interaction with the host communities were oil is actually drilled.
I suspect that Shell's HQ major cost grouse in this instance would be on things like:
1) money spent on security for its top management staff
2) Regular kidnap of its HQ staff
3) Fear of kidnap by its HQ staff
4) Ill-defined levies beyond statutory tax extracted by both PH formal and informal orgs from both Shell HQ as an organisation, and its members of staff as individuals.
5) Costly inconvenience of living in a location (PH) that is far away from a federal or international hub such as Abuja and Lagos.

So Shell HQ leaves the bad, bad Niger Delta and moves to the good, good Lagos right, so its top staff can easily travel home to their south west abodes during the weekends abi ?
But leaves its actual money extracting operation in this bad, bad ND location ...LOL

They should consider moving their HQ to Sokoto in the North which is quite peaceful or Asaba in Delta state or many other equally peaceful states were they wont be kidnapped naw.
In this our present interconnected world, they could even go as far as relocating their Nigerian HQ to neigbouring cameroon or peaceful Ghane.

I hope you guys will similarly support any of these other options as much as you salivate with eloquence of pro-and-con logic at the thought that Shell's intended next HQ destination is the Lagos/Ogun axis.

Already told him he should let me know if the burden is too much on him so that I can get a job since he was the one that actually told me to stop work at the initial stage.

Please what's your take on it?
He is ambitious for money.
Simply get him some calculated risk management books and book him into risk management seminars.

On your part, ensure you extract as much money from him as possible, then save or invest it in risk free ventures. If by happenstance things terribly bad happen to his fortunes, you'll then be able to step in

The prince of the SW probably chose PMB for three reasons

1) PMB unaided had consistently polled millions of votes from the core north -adding this to the SW votes would give a winning edge
2) there was a strong chance that your jagaban would be picked as the VP
3) PMB being an old man has a relatively larger probability of visiting the ancestors than other younger aspirants. This would have paved way for the VP to mount the throne just like Jonathan did.

I did a job for someone in the US and gave a friend's US account to receive the money with the plan of opening a domiciliary account here and asking him to transfer the money to it. Over time, the money got to some thousands of dollars with him. I eventually opened the account and sent the details to him so he could help me transfer it. He didn't respond and when I called him he didn't answer the call. I called him several times after that, no response. I sent mails to him, no response. I tried to contact him on Facebook and found out he had deactivated his account. It's been like 6 weeks now and the only response to all the messages I sent to him is that even if I report the matter to the police, there is nothing they can do because it is a civil case and he will go ahead to declare bankruptcy and all he owns in the US is a TV which costs about $300.

I have all necessary details about him but I need to know the right way to go about this. I can push it to a level where he will face some charges due to his travel and work history in the US and may even lose so much but that may not eventually bring back my money.

Please, dear people, what do you suggest I do?

he didnt pay you for services (probably IT related) you rendered to him
this is technically different from him collecting hard cash from you and refusing to pay back.

2, the young man although 'rightly' angry ought not to have used words such as mad and bastard. it doesnt tell well of his upbringing

3, the young man informed his dad alright, but offering tickets to his dad (although gracious) for burial almost like a visitor in such a strained relationship with complexities was punching too far above his weight. His elders from both side of the families should be the ones leading burial arrangements, while he supports from the side.

4, Legal laws trump customary laws. Did the boy being of legal age have a will that states he be buried in his mums land? if yes, and the mothers land accepts it, then case closed. The law has no time for emotions.

5, If there are no overriding legal laws for or against, then customary laws come into play

6, Whose customary law? Do the customary laws of both families agree on this issue? If yes, then they follow its laid down procedure, whatever it may be.

7, If the customary laws do not agree, then both families will need to come to an amicable compromise.

8, I think that is what the father referred to when he talked of returning bride price. In his culture it symbolises the severance of a relationship from its root.

Kudos on your post. I think you actually concluded your conversion story in your 1st thread. I suspect this thread only gives meat to your arguments.

You were once a christian, so I am sure you'd understand the feeling of those of us that will try to shut you up, insult you, and condemn you to hell.

Interestingly, even some of the apostles if they were around, might do the same. Its human nature and hardly peculiar to christians.

However, lets assume that Jesus actually was what he was made out to be (I believe he was, and let's not bother about the concept of God at this point).. I am convinced that he would not have condemned you, then and even now. In fact, I suspect that he would have rebuked the christian hawks circling you right now

..he probably would have with a smile told you "come"

You have experienced the fire of logic, which as burnt and is still burning away illogicals from where they were enthroned in your innermost recess. If for any reason you get into the faith again, it would be as a finer you without the frivolity of absurdities.

Till then, stay blessed beloved of Christ

I also had burning and disturbing desire to save people from hell. It started with if I dont preach, I'm guilty if they go to hell.

I soon overcame that after overcoming fear of God and me burning in hell.
Next, I overcame the fear of people going to hell in th r first place. This came about by meditating on the life of Jesus. As powerful as he was he didnt levitate to the hinderlands of africa to preach the gospel with urgency.

I'm still very much a jesus beliver with a desire to spread the gospel. However, I realise that my initial belifs were built on extremely faulty and illogical foundations. I continue my walk with God, peeling off lots of error that were thaught to me by christian tradition, some of which are as old as christianity itself.
