acidtalk: I used to make a mistake of being wise in the past. But you keep confirming your level of stu*pidity. That's why you are still old, single and miserable. The bolded are not a great statement for a mature guy to make to a lady, no matter the circumstance whether true or untrue especially in a public space Just my take |
@OP I can still remember that day. LOL my mum had bouth a science series for us to read. one of them was in biology my siblings and I argued excitedly about what we were seeing so we ran off to mum to clarify ![]() "mum read this" I said pointing to the portion of the text She started reading: "for conception to occur, the man has to insert his pe.nis into the vag.ina of the woman" (*exact quote from the literature. Kai, see as I still remember*) We couldn't hide our giggles, now we knew where babies came from We repeated that quote a thousand times to any adult who cared to listen almost like we were telling them that we now knew their nightly shenanigans |

@Op there are some ways u shld never chase a girl If she doesnt pick your calls, let go If you really, really want her and insist for the sport then first check yourself. Are you her type? If you are, then what is her relationshp status? you could chillax and enjoy being her friend for a while, while pursuing some other date You cld then strike later when she melts unto you |
I'm not really shy (i think) Its just that you say hi to a girl, and you sense that she is already making decicions about what she will do or not do with you Its tireing ![]() |
From my experience, JW girls are the toughest to crack physically once they are regular church attendees For the others, even the female pastors and prophetesses are easilly tempted I don't know why |
naptu2: Thanks very much. I think it's important that we never forget Nigerians and other Africans who fought in the 1st and 2nd World Wars.I do not feel that Nigeria had any business fighting in ww1 or ww2 however an important commentary in the documentary caught my attention The one on how after fighting side by side with the whites, africans beging to appreciate the common humanity of the whites This sought of scenario seems to hold true even today I have noticed that freedom fighters in Africa, where mainly those that schooled abroad Presently you would also notice that Nigerians that have lived in the West seem to have little regards for the whites whereas many that have lived all their lives in Nigeria seem to hold the whites in awe Just my toughts |
miqos02: When will mtn list on the nigerian exchange? Dem dey crazeI guess they will be willing to list on NSE when their profits start dwindling We then rush in to buy expired goods and the rich take our money and get richer |
when I was very young, I felt it was silly for a girl to date someone much older than herself (max 2 years older). Anything younger was acceptable As I grew older , I felt it was silly for a girl to date anyone more than 7 years older than her. Anything younger was acceptable At my present age, I now feel it is silly for a girl to date anyone more than 16 years older than her. Anything younger is acceptable When I'm in my 70's, I suspect I would feel it is silly for a girl to date a guy more than 40 years older than her. Anything younger would be acceptable Umh........ Just musing |
Temi 23: Hello Nairalanders,There are many right ones out there You'll have to date to find out, or receive recommendation to settle for one Then you take the plunge and hope for the best na so life be |
Am just me: When is it the best time to achieve a lot in one's career? Is it before or after marriage? It could be anytime. But if you're banking on after marriage, then you must choose a wife or husband that will enable you and not pull you down |
wow, this move has virtually given Cyril Ramaphosa total control of MTN kudos to him Like the South Africans, Its about time our own businessmen push into other geographical markets If our pastors have been able to do it, then our businessmen should not feel intimidated |
No doubt, the print media around the world is dieng off under fierce competition from social media One of the reasons for this is the churning out of live stories which the print media is notoriously weak at It therefore surprises me that the Nigeria print media has perfected the art of using old photoshoots I mean, it only makes sense to use photshots (or is it photo captions) that show captured events that relate to the topic at hand thereby helping the reader relate to the even that is being narrated For example, in thisday I just read an article on the Governors forum having a meeting. The photo associated with this story was an old one of Amaechi sitting on his golden throne What would it take for readers to see a picture of the governors during or after the event? this only makes sound business sense |
naptu2: Archbishop Benson Idahosa.I loved this man |
Starlett: Y'all have any idea how much this man Fareed charges as speaking fees for such unlicensed lectures? SMH..Umh, new angle Was he taxed in Nigeria for his speaking fees? ![]() (*Kai see my joblessness o. I don turn to Internal revenue board*) |
naijababe: Hehn! Where this Lola story?!U really want to get ensnared in another of ishilove's sttories?? I laugh in tongues As for me and my household we have learnt our lessons This girl na one of the few reasons why I still dey visit nairaland everyday another reason no one professor wen no dey write regularly again I'll politely stick to this one only wen im don finish, I go pack my bags run far far away from this girl's never ending tories and probably i'd be in a better place to break NL addiction ![]() |
...uninformed comment previously posted but the guy na bristish sha |
^^^ "How does this affect the price of Garri"? some may say My critique is highly ineffective with regards to getting to the major subject -Fareed, and challenging what I suspect to be borne out of faulty assumptions He go make im cool cash commot I have no bitterness on this 1) But the very act of critiquing constructively in a public space like this helps me prune my critical-thinking/analytical skills which is crucial to my own line of business 2) It helps one or two other persons discover/carve out an alternative view point which could be useful to them now or in the future 3) It helps me further discover the default view that foreigners could have of me, thereby giving me the advantage of being steps ahead 4) You never can tell, a future president (no matter how small the probability is) might be reading these things. This could help shape his/her mindset in developing strategies to take Nigeria to the next level ![]() |
wesley80: Star struck by Fareed? Before or after his plagiarism battle? Dont get me wrong, I'm a fan but I dont see how I'd ever get star struck by fareed not to weigh his opinion objectively and I believe same holds for those that made those comments - Fareed presented a great lecture/speech, heck he pocketed upwards of $50,000 and it had to be earned and it was.Don't get me wrong. I did like a large portion of Fareed's speech I especially liked his conclusions on the opening-up/widening of the 10 percentile global power/intellectual/wealth space to people from a more diverse background However I feel it is only fair to pick out portions of someone's delivery and critique it (not neccesarily the person at first) It has a way of driving the originator of the 'comment' being critiqued to improve in the next delivery Also, as one critique these little portions of information, it is not imposible to find out that they are rooted on wrong personal assumptions that need to be corrected (by either (or both) the critic and the person being critiqued) For example Sarah Palin once thought that Africa was a country. Imagine her making comments about Africa as a vice-president of the US if those assumptions were not corrected She could maybe say stuff like "Africa is a failed state because it has Mugabe as a president" Another example of how personal and erroneous assumptions could be the root of faulty commentaries/decisions is the mistake that some western media analysts make with Nigerian (9ja) vs Nigerian (Niger) I have seen instances (can't recollect exactly where now)where Niger's woes have been attributed to Nigeria because of this thinking pattern So great guy Fareed is, yep but i have a thing for sensing or seeking to discover the engine/assumptions that drives people's actions and delivery |
81) First write down the Vision, then make it plain (You'll thank me soooo much for this tip when you start using it )We recieve so much information daily, Could be from Church, friends, TV, Meditation, dreams, conversations etc The synthesis of all these information somehow drops ideas in us By the next day, these ideas might have faded off, and we are left floating in daily routines and life's vicious cycle A long time ago, I learnt to write down my ideas and objectives on a plane sheet of paper, I then write out tasks that feed into acheiving the ideas Next, I paste it on my wardrobe door, where I can easilly see it every day (and safe from the prying eyes of friends and mockers) I then try to acheive these littles tasks written on my task-sheet, and strike them off once they are acheived The task-sheet helps keep my memory fresh on tasks needed to push me to the next level So, when i get blinded by the maddening sand storms of life, its rat race, its pleasures and its distractions I reach out for my task-sheet. It tells me how far I have come, and what I must'nt let off my sight You can skip the gist after this post and go to post # 82) |
