Draslo:You've not said anything. I am not a woman so your words can't hurt me. Your statement just wasn't factual. It doesn't hurt to take your words back, though I'm not expecting you to. I only needed to point that out so you wouldn't mislead others with your own low self perception. |
Draslo:So what? The teen in Nigeria is in Nigeria and the one in the West is in the West. Each should be measured based on their readiness to take on responsibilities in their respective societies. And I'm saying the statement you made about the 19 year old in the West thinking like a 29 year old in Nigeria is shameful and untrue. A teenager who's just finishing secondary school here can barely take care of herself. Nigerians would prefer them cause they might be more likely to offer stress free sex but don't make the mistake of thinking they're anywhere close to being ready to make a home. Let's stop this stuff with always trying to rubbish women in Nigeria even when it's clearly dumb. |
Draslo:Lol... You guys must be thinking so low of yourselves in Africa these days. I don't like to make such comparisons but if I ever have to, I'd gladly tell you a Nigerian teen is 100 times readier to take on the responsibilities of womanhood than teens out here in the western world. |
xProfx:Nawa o... are you being serious or you're just trolling? You're not even making sense. There's nothing wrong with the guy's post. Even if they forgot the name, it's still surprising that they'd go online to search the name of the hotel in which they were at the moment. If you've been to a hotel before, you'd know the name should be everywhere around them: on the menu leaflets, on the key holder, on the the tv, at the reception, in front of the building, etc. So if for any reason the name wasn't readily available and they needed to go online to look it up, it's surprising and worth being remarked. Not like that was the only thing the guy said. What do you mean by his use of the word "googling" and how does that suggest emphasis or imply they weren't serious? Apparently, the harder you try to seem smart, the dumber you sound. |
I read this as a white man telling his fellow whites what he hates about black people... |
merieam16:True... but this isn't then. Things are hard now and couples now pull resources together to sustain each. Asides from the fact that marrying such a kid puts the whole responsibility on the man (including physiological responsibilities), it is also not a secret that women tend to be less ambitious after marriage due to family responsibilities and societal expectations; a girl of that age hasn't even achieved anything for her ambitions to be cut short so abruptly. Again, teens are full of youthful exuberances due to hormonal factors, this is why we usually laugh at the things we considered important as teenagers. Now imagine making such a life changing decision at that phase of one's life. Chances of leaving the marriage years later are high. Just my opinion though. |
Are there no Housa elders?* |
GladGlad:Lol... It's her birthday, yet her name was not mentioned in the title nor in the body of the thread. Regina and Ned got two mentions and the celebrant none. This tells a lot about the reality of life. |
Themainboy22:Well, everyone that watches tv has thier reason for it just like you do. |
Nawa o |
Is this what God told him? Pastors and priests should learn to express their political views without making it a religious thing. That way, followers would know when they're "speaking for God" and when they're speaking for themselves based on their perspectives. This idea of muddling up our opinions, culture and religion is part of the reason why the old testament is has a lot of stuff that aren't practical in our society today. |
Omihanifa:If calling out his son's sexuality is the only thing the opponent can say against him, then he must be a good man. |
BeeBeeOoh:Lol... You people and these your prices. Which one has ever changed the price? |
mightyhazel:Lol... the picture has been used so many times already. |
Will he go back to the entertainment industry? |
Bad news everyday.... aggression, brute force, rough edges... |
NextD18:Lol... this reminds me of those primary school banters; my father is richer than your father, my father has hundred zillion trillion naira ![]() ![]() |
Empowers them? Lol... Nairaland journalism. |
OP, this detail can't be gotten from the data source you mentioned nah. Mindlog:Yeah... The condom brand's data might have been accurate in terms of number of buyers. But the magic analysis the man did on the data to arrive at his conclusion is mindblowing. How he put the whole thing on one gender is still a mystery. I guess it's safe to say he came up with these numbers on his own for fun and not based on any dependable data. He hasn't been to all the countries so if he had any source at all, we can all guess what it is; the Internet. I'm sure this is just for fun but on a different note, the truth is, whichever way you present yourself is how the world will take you. If you call your place a zoo, they'll call you monkeys. If you tell them your women cheat the most in the world, they'll give you the number one position. If you call your place a crime hub, they'll call you criminals. Nigerian always claiming everything is worse in their country haven't seen an airport before. The men are going to celebrate this one without questioning cause it appeals to our narrative. But deep down, we all know who buys the condoms. |
CalmElder:So your first instinct is usually to support the man just cause you're a man? |
I like her voice |
J111333:No, the FBI wouldn't. Their radar would have collapsed by now if they went about chasing such people. Even if they do, nothing else can come after it cause there's no ground for arrest. Someone who really wants to kill Buhari wouldn't even go around saying it online. He was asked what he'd do if he had $1m and he said he'd eliminate Buhari. Trust me, the FBI will not waste their energy on some wishful thinking of an internet user. People tweet on how they want the Trump out dead or alive. People actively wished he'd die of Covid-19. So whether by a Russian sniper or an American sniper or even Bokoharam doesn't make the desire any different. The best Twitter could do then was to block such contents but according to Facebook’s rules, "users can express that they wish death upon someone as long as that person is a public figure and they are not tagged in the post. In other words, it’s OK to post that you want Trump to die as long as you do not expose Trump himself to “calls for death, serious disease, epidemic disease, or disability”.". Just a few days ago, it was a call for the vice president's death. The president is a public figure with haters who can say anything to express their hatred. So once again, the FBI wouldn't have done anything to the guy. |
Factfinder1:But she is just promoting her business. Nigerian men claim want women who are not dependent, women who have their source of income. But when a woman makes efforts, we trash them and call them names. Nawa o. |
habsydiamond:Before nko? Were you thinking she became poor overnight? She's promoting her business. Nothing wrong with that. |
WhatsApp is owned by Facebook. They've always had these data. They only made it public cause they planned to develop a tighter integration. |
What's buka stew? Ok, seen. Looks nice! I obviously don't have the first ingredient on the list. |
You kids are just dirty and disgusting. Why not get productive and leave sexism/misogyny?! |
