Realmi:It won't stop because gender bias will always make people like you shy away from calling out the real culprits just to focus on the victims. Just see the way you phrased as if it's the ladies are to be blamed thr for the choices of the men who kidnap people. Or shouldn't you be telling the men to fear God? Nawa o. |
Lol... the front page though. It's mind blowing how Nigerians hate Nigeria. |
Do you trap them or you breed them? |
Mokason288:Of course, you don't have time to engage in logic/argument, but you have time to trade insults. Yet, you are the adult. Lmao |
Mokason288:Then stop quoting me and join your fellow soon-to-be-ancestors in the march to the grave. ![]() |
Lol... you guys just do not know how co-exist. Y'all feel everyone must align with your preferences. How does BBN stop anyone from voting? The show doesn't have as much fans as football, yet you didn't say this during all the football tournaments that led to and still lead to multiple football threads on the front page. But once it is BBN, you remember Nigerian issues and how NL has reduced itself. Well, liking it or not, NL is a business enterprise and as such, would jump on any trend that has the potential to bring in more traffic. It is a public forum with multiple sections and most of these sections have equal rights to the front page. Just pick what you like and leave others to pick thiers. Only a foolish manager would leave the opportunity to make money just to satisfy those who don't know how to live and let live. |
faceland:Of course, individual cases are different and it mostly depends on the circumstances surrounding his exit and how long he stayed away. However, I have been on both sides of the divide myself and one thing I know for sure is that most times, employers don't know who's gonna leave until it happens and leaves them stranded. By letting such an employee back on probation, they can get his skills properly dispersed and be more prepared for the exit. The management has nothing to lose. Remember he was a bad tomato before he left. If he couldn't convince others to join then, you think he's in s better position to do that after they've seen him fail? Re-hiring is the employer's way of telling other employees that life isn't necessarily better out there. Besides, employees stay in contact with past colleagues. So a past colleague doing well out there is more likely to take your worker than a returnee. During the exit process in formal organizations, there is field called "eligible for rehire". Different systems call it different things. This is where it is indicated if the employee should be welcomed back if he decides to come back. If it's a job that supports multiple positions at a time, the answer is 'yes' most of the time. I know cause I've analyzed HR data for multiple organizations. |
Mokason288:"You take things too seriously" is exactly what people say when the faults in their argument are made obvious. Why not tell that to people who jump from thread to thread calling out BBN workers as if it's thier life calling to do that? They aren't being serious, but one counter argument is already too serious. Please. |
IgweBUIKE1:They are better ways to describe bad behaviors than saying that someone's child isn't behaving like a human being. You're indirectly telling the parents that gave birth to something that's not human like. Wow. |
I would tell her she missed the indefinite article "a". |
Lol... I thought we all knew this and talked about it in 2015? |
faceland:Employees will always leave. It's a natural part of the labour market. Your duty is to keep your top skills as long as possible and if one decides to return after leaving for a while, it'll be in your best interest to keep him and use him as long as you can. The fact that he'll leave again shouldn't stop any smart MD from utilizing his skills while he's available because at the end of the day, most people will still leave anyway. As for other employees, if he didn't take them while leaving the first time, you think he'll be in a better position to convince them after they've seen how he failed out there? The truth is, employees stay connected with ex colleagues. So even if he doesn't come back, he could still take them from the outside by sharing his new life with them. So bringing an employee back is a way of telling those on ground that life isn't necessarily better outside the organization, and that could potentially change the mind of those planning to leave. |
Mokason288:You're the one allowing yourself to be ditracted by coming to comment on this. This distraction theory is so baseless. The show does not stop anyone from voting or talking about politics. The show does not have as much fans as football, yet all the football leagues don't stop people from discussing politics. We see football threads everyday on FP. The football threads in the sports section are some of the longest in the history of Nairaland and they keep growing even as the country prepares for the apex election. And no one is complaining, nobody comes to the football threads to spam them. But as soon as BBN starts, all of you will start talking about how it's a distraction. You guys are just unnecessarily biased. Nigerians just don't know how to live and let live. Everyone believes they are superior to others for having a different taste and y'all go out of your way to call out those that don't share your interests or beliefs. That's the reason behind the high level of divisiveness in the country. Do you and let others be. |
faceland:Hmm... but why would it a mistake to accept him back if he was really skilled at thier jobs? It's only in the 1990's that employees that quit thier jobs were considered as enemies or ungrateful. Today, it's normal for people to move and it's nothing to fight about. If you're good at your job, your employer would even tell you at the point of leaving not to hesitate to come back if you ever need to. All my past employers said that to me. I know a handful of people that returned to their former employers. If it's a professional position and you were idle after you left the organization, your number of years at that level will start counting from wherever you were before leaving. Even if you were working somewhere else during that period, the total number of years you spent outside the organization will be reduced a bit when considering your new placement. This implies that people that started with you might end up being your senior. It's then up to you to decide if that's a deal breaker or not |
Ay04z:Thanks for sharing. I'm not searching for a job myself but I'm sure you've helped a lot of people with this supposedly common link. |
I Will Shopify Website Design Amazin Shopify Store Design Create Shopify Website Op, be honest, does this title make sense to you? Why would I give my web design contract to someone who can't get a simple NL title right? |
If you are surrounded by smelling people, you likely smell yourself but there's no one to tell you. If you check the boxers of the person asking this question, you'd see he has worn them for days. |
Two white men and two Venezuelans? What kind of classification is that? By country or by race? The white men don't have countries? You know how many races they have in Venezuela? |

What?! Why would she remain in Canada when she's doing well in Nigeria ? ![]() |
Cypress042:What was she doing for you before the show started? What exactly did the show distract her from? A tweet about the show is distraction but a long ass thread on EPL is normal. You guys just don't know how to live and let live. You always strive to impose your preferences on others. If you don't like the show, ignore it and watch whatever you like, why is that so hard for y'all? Nawa o. |
bjtinz:Again, why are you making this about the OP? Like I said, my comment to the guy isn't about what OP is doing. I did not even disagree with him calling out the OP. In fact, my first line started with "I agree". So again, stop making it as if OP's generalization is the bone of contention here. You're creating a post that will make it easy for you to score points, but unfortunately that's not argument here. I'm a man and I'm not a rapist, there's no way I'd support anyone that calls me one. I only said it would be great if he could also make efforts to remind people that it's not all women when they going typing all those disparaging stuff against women. We see people type these unprintable things about women on this platform. So I'm calling on a non generalist like the guy to also remind those people that it's not all women. This only balances things out? Why do you have issues with it? Again, if you see any problem with what I said to him, then you are not any different from the OP you are criticizing. |
orisa37:You lured us into violence! Fellow peace lovers, please ignore the title, this is a war zone! I repeat, this is a war zone! Over!

Is that your tommy? |

What of those outside Nigeria? To y'all saying the show will take people's attention away from politics, y'all just don't know how to live and let live. This show doesn't attract as much attention as football, yet that doesn't stop political discussions. The front page still get filled up with football updates and everyone enjoys it in peace. So let the fans of BBN enjoy thier show in peace. The country is already hard enough, let people relax in whatever way they like. You aren't superior to anyone for not liking the show. Do you and let others be. |
They can never be caught if they enjoy the sympathy of thier hosts. |
I said this before, instead of this unwarranted hatred towards the West, Nigerians should be thinking of how to replace Russia as a major supplier of crude oil alongside other oil producing countries. It is our turn to shine, no disrespect to those suffering I'm Ukraine. |
What position is he getting in his cabinet? |
bjtinz:I have no business with the OP and really do not see how this your post relates to mine. Whatever the OP is doing does not change anything I said to that guy which is that he should also make efforts to remind people that it's not all women when they going typing all those disparaging stuff against women. That rape is serious is not disputable. It was never the contention and it has no bearing on the message above. So what exactly are you saying? When a woman set her husband on fire the other day, did Nairaland people not call women all sorts of name? Is death not serious too? If you see my comment as being silly, then you're not different from the OP. You are not sympathetic to the ordeals of rape victims, you just feel the need to attack me cause you saw my post as an attack, and it's quiet pathetic that you'd feel it's necessary to defend men who type these things. |
Joe4real1988:It's simple, don't do it. |
OP, it's a bitch, not a woman. Meanwhile, dog breeders, please learn from this. Mating takes a lot of energy. Space out breeding periods (yes, even for the male dogs). And during a breeding period, ensure the dogs are properly fed. Do not administer enhancers. Finally, occasionally separate the dogs if you observe abnormal mating behaviors. And, if you aren't breeding, neuter your dog. RIP to the dog. |
