So the registered voters will follow Wike to any party he goes to? Or are we referring to his ability to rig the election in favour of his preferred party? |
OK... but would they have backed another any Igbo man even if it wasn't Obi? |
I watched Wike's interview where he called LP's presidential candidate names for leaving PDP. It would be shameful if he does the same. Anyway, whatever he wants to do, let him do. The dance is getting boring. |
Yes!!! I'm so happy to hear this. It's just sad that we can't utilize the gas the way it's done in Europe. |
Goldbw122:What do you think is a party? The buildings or the name? Party here means a group of people with the same political ideology. In other words, the people behind the party is the party. So when you say it's not the party but the people behind the party, it's mind-boggling cause there's no such distinction. |
I do not understand. Did the Tambuwal guy step down after voting has already start? If so, Wike has a point. Otherwise, I really don't get what he's saying. Normally, you'd tell your people you are not contesting anymore before the voting starts. This way, they can decide where they want to take thier votes. Any vote you've already gotten before stepping down for another party should not be counted because taking someone's vote and giving it to another candidate is fraudulent. It's like taking the money I paid for a meat-pie only to give me a fish-roll. Both might be good. But it is my choice to make. |
Are you sure? Buhari that could not afford the presidential ticket. He was even caught taking Cowbell sachet milk. Please, do your research again. |
Why do Nairaland guys always come with these "what should I do" threads? Is it that the ladies are smarter, and therefore, you guys need to pull your brains together to figure out how to relate with one? Or is it that you guys are so much scared of being called a simp that you now take manuals from faceless internet users on how to exist as men? Whatever happened to individualism? People are different. Assess the situation and do what you think is right. Does anybody here know your girlfriend more than you do? How would they know her intentions? I'm sure most of you can't ask these questions in person cause you know how embarrassing that would be. You claim macho out there only to come to a faceless online forum to ask teenagers how to be a boyfriend. |
I really love the determination, but I hope politics won't bring division into the church. That alter belongs to everyone regardless of thier political affiliations, and you can't possibly tell me everyone there is a supporter of Peter Obi. |
festacman:I don't think they're calling his political affiliation sinful. And they're certainly not demanding an apology for his choice of political party. They are only worked by his statement. Yes, they obviously disagree with his choice, but that's not what the uproar is about. They're many APC members who are catholics. Nobody is demonizing them. So this isn't about his support for Tinubu, but rather about him dragging the papal office into it. |
Prince111111:You just believe what you prefer to believe. The guy made a very valid point. He didn't say Obi can be accepted everywhere. He gave the obvious reasons why this particular news is false. The bill board was not pulled down. It looks very intact and you can see the working tools of the guy erecting it in the picture. You don't just believe things because they appeal to you, you believe based on available evidence. |
They pulled it down and left it in perfect shape? |
Prettygirl200:Your naivety is mind-blowing. |
Lol... She's most likely an illegal immigrant. What exactly was she expecting Europe to do for her? |
Yes, they ate better. ![]() |
capetownboyz:I'm actually a big fan of the OP. I find people that love animals (both wild and domestic) fascinating cause growing up, people around me made it look like I was weird for spending all my time observing animals. |
Hannania:I think you quoted the wrong person. Lol. Your post agrees with mine. |
They take in all the dirty lyrics and music videos and then cry about how BBN is spoiling our youth. Lol... Nigerians have a level of hypocrisy that blows the mind. |
Abdul05:Are you joking? |
Lol... I don't understand this thread. We need more details. Is this based on personal taste or is there a body that did the rating? |
Hhmm... interesting thread. I believe people are leaving mostly cause of the infrastructure and stability. I mean, who's going abroad to be liked by the Whiteman? Africans mostly mingle with Africans abroad. Financial planning is just extremely difficult in Nigeria even at a personal level. Abroad, you can predict how much you'd spend on transportation, power, groceries, etc. Many things are constant. Your taxes work for you and you get the support your business needs. In Nigeria, luck plays more roles than it should. Your cold room (frozen food) business could easily collapse because of the epileptic power supply or accidents cause by bad roads or poorly trained drivers. Even when you're lucky, you'd still have to pay your way through the corrupt system. Let's not even talk about security. Is Nigeria really free? At a point, a black man in the racist America became safer than a black man in Maiduguri. We have people in the North who police your religion, your haircut, the way you dress, etc. Gay people are criminalized on the basis of religion and they're about to pass a bill against cross dressing. A man can easily wake up and kick out a woman that has dedicated a good deal of her life to raising his family. Women are excluded from inheritance. Politicians are above the law. Tribes are fighting tribes. Religions are fighting religions. The list is endless. Yes, I agree that we are our own problem. But on the other hand, people move for economic reasons. They go to where thier skills will fetch them more values. The mere difference in currency value is already a big factor. This is because the things we consume are produced in a different currency and that undermines the value of our hard earned money. So I don't really blame those leaving. Go wherever you feel you're more equipped to make it. Let those that see the opportunities in Nigeria explore it. |
He was releasing for a mission. One he must complete or get thrown back in. LP should be careful. Anything to dent thier image... |
It idiom is "pull one's leg". It is one leg that is pulled, not the two. You want the person to fall? |
TheCongo2:Your aunt belongs to the category of people I mentioned in my post. People move as an economic migration and not necessarily because they hate living in Nigeria. Your aunt is a frequent traveler. She's probably not in search of any better economy. As for the foreigners people who move to Africa, I see the videos and honestly, they catch my interest. What I have noticed is that they're mostly children of African parents. The non Africans go there to establish there since thier capital is worth more there. Some already had the connections that will get them fixed on arrival. The few that moved without the capital and the connection probably saw a very specific opportunity that made them decide to endure the inconveniences. Of course, they'd come to YouTube and make it look as if it's all about the love for the continent. But ask yourself, how many of these "immigrants" come to start hustling in the streets like we move abroad to hustle? Maybe 0.0001% of them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to undersell my continent. I'm only trying to buttress the fact that living for a better economy or better infrastructure or better education is nothing to be ashamed of. And as much as I love Africa, I cannot lie that it is better that the West in any of those regards. I have lived in 3 different continents, Africa inclusive, and I felt happiest in Africa mostly because that's where I have my roots. But if I were originally American, my chances of moving to Africa would be zero. No shame. |
TheCongo2:In my opinion, there's nothing overly thoughtful about that comment. The man might have his reasons for moving to Nigeria, but that doesn't undermine the reasons people have for wanting to leave Nigeria. Different strokes for different folks. Even that guy typing would gladly move to the US if offered the visa. Those who don't see any reason to leave are usually the comfortable ones or those who have stayed abroad before and have amassed enough resources. Do not let anyone deceive you. An American or British who moved to Ghana like the guy said is either going to there as an expatriate or they're already rich and looking for somewhere to settle peacefully. Otherwise, no American youth would go to Ghana in search of of better life. As beautiful as Africa is, it does not make logical sense. |
Hmm... not all offenses need to be explicitly stated in the code of conduct, and you certainly don't need the code of conduct to be aware that certain things shouldn't be done at a place of work. That said, the absence of code of conduct can be a valid excuse if the offense is subject to it. That is, if it is one that might not be considered an offense somewhere else. Whichever way, the code of conduct should have been given to you before or during your on-boarding period. Please request for it. Pray tell, what did you do? |
Lol... they listen to his music, enjoy all the suggestive lyrics, watch the video with all the nudity and amorous contents and then stream about how BBN is a dirty show that corrupts people. Hypocrisy is the word. |
endsarrrs:Hehe... professional narrator. |
uniquetechng:Actually, many houses with laundry rooms have heavy-duty washing machines that can wash any type of blankets. It usually sits on the floor and has a top cover like a big drum. It's mostly apartments/small townhouses that have the fit-in type and that normally comes as part of the building. The guy is not rich. Africa just has a level of poverty that makes one feel rich sometimes. There's always someone willing to do the job for a penny. |
He is not rich. I am not rich, but I've never had any reason to use a public laundry equipment ever since I Ieft Nigeria. It's just that Africa has certain level of poverty that makes you feel rich. There's always someone willing to take anything just to eat. |
camsyross:Apologies. We have deleted all the posts above yours. Really sorry sir. |
yusufmurry:You can also say there's nothing like love from a man. It can be argued that a man just needs someone to take the responsibility of running his home, raising his kids and satisfying his urges. At the end of the day, marriage is more about convenience than love. |
