1) Blue throated macaws 2) Africa gray parrots 3) Blue gold macaw and (what type of macaw is that?) They're all beautiful. OP, I'd like to share this with a fellow bird enthusiast, but I need more details. Do you also sell mid sized parrots like conures and cockatiels? What ages do you have? Are they banded? Are the bands closed or open? Were they raised by their mothers or hand-raised? You mentioned "talking" so I assume some of them are more than three months old already. Are they socialized enough to bond with new owners? What pellets do you feed them and can they be easily weaned? Do they come clipped or flighted? Are they sexed? Do you also sell bird accessories? I also noticed some of these pics are from the internet. Could you show us actual pictures of the birds? To those that intend to buy, please do your research very well to avoid issues. A lot of birds end up in rescue homes cause people get them without knowing what they're getting into. Some even get abused. Parrots are high maintenance and they literally live on attention (like real hands-on). They need a lot space, simulation and care. They can get messy and noisy and if not well trained, aggressive. They are clingy and can easily get depressed and resort to self harm if not well taken care of. So don't get a bird cause you think it'll take less of your time than other pets. As I'm typing this, my bird is fighting for my phone. Most importantly, it is a lifelong commitment. The bird would likely outlive you. So put that into consideration. Cc: Wounddlamb |
robinsonmfon:You experienced? Anywhere this is recorded? Or did you measure it yourself using your body as a thermometer? The highest temperature in Bauchi in the month of March this year was 38.9°C according to World Weather. And that was on Tuesday, 8th of March, 2022. |
Mraphel:Can you relate this to this lady's case? |
kingw:When was this? The highest temperature recorded in recent times is 38.9°C. |
VeryWickedMan:Has the temperature in Nigeria ever gotten to 40°C? |
WibusJaga:Stop comparing people to objects. The man also had women before getting involved with JLo. Your girlfriend probably had a man before you. You had a woman before her. Such is life. |
I see a little contradiction here. If you don't blame Portable for accepting cash to praise one party and discredit the other knowing the implication of that, then you invariably have no moral standing to blame anyone for accepting cash just to vote a certain party. Arguably, Portable accepting cash to influence his fans has more effects than a single individual accepting cash to vote a certain party. So if you let Portable off the hook on the grounds of "man must wack", then what would the basis of criticizing other vote sellers? |
thebosstrevor1:Sir, let's stop this idea of always figuring out ways to treat the crimes of these politicians with kid gloves. You have a team of people who are into drugs, each person playing his own role. And then when they're caught, you start separating duties just to trivialize the participation of your preferred presidential candidate? Does he need to have the drug in his stomach before he's said to be into drug deals? When your job is to launder money for illegal drug transactions, aren't you into drug deals? You're saying this as if his area of specialization makes him any better than others. He was an integral part of a unit that deals on drugs. Each person's tasks was crucial to the success of the business. So whether he called the shots or just transported the drugs or laundered money for them doesn't really make him less of a dealer. A drug dealer is someone that sells drugs illegally. It could be an individual or a group of persons. Being at the cash exchange end aligns him with this definition in my opinion. Just saying. |
Please, don't blame it on any frustration. It was purely your decision to start smoking. You can say it was due to peer pressure, but it ain't no frustration, sir. You cannot seek solace in something you cannot tell the outcome unless someone talks you into it or you've done it before to see what it can offer. Are you trying to tell us you were having a hard time and your brain somehow convinced you you'd feel better if you smoked (even though you'd not smoked before)? It doesn't work that way. The reason frustration drives people into alcoholism is because most people have tested it before and have seen the effects and, therefore, believe it can relieve them of thier pains. The reason I'm pointing this out is because if you keep blaming it on frustration, you'd continue with the false belief that it's not something you can control. Blaming it on somethings not within your control is your brain's way of making you feel less guilty while it gets what it wants. Has the frustration or the terrible situation gone away? I guess not. So if that is really the cause, doesn't that suggest you aren't about to stop? You need to acknowledge the fact that it was your own decision (probably fuelled by peer pressure). The moment you come to terms with this is the moment you'd realise you alone have the power to stop by taking another decision (and probably staying away from those peers). The hero lies in you. Good luck! |
Emmaari:Isn't this the problem. You take pride in saying you don't care about Nigerian politics and that you've never voted before as if it makes you special or superior to or smarter than those that vote. But when things aren't going well in the country, you're affected and you complain like every other person. Who do you expect to vote out the evil APC for you? Those that don't have better things to do with thier own time? I'm not trying to call you out. I also don't know much about Nigerian politics myself, but it's not a thing of pride and it doesn't mean I don't care. It is no one's duty to do it for us. |
This is just sarcasm and a campaign against flexible gender identity. But let's talk about it since it's an interesting topic with a lot of gray areas. There's a difference between race, ethnicity and nationality. Race is about your phenotype or physical appearance (skin color most of the time). Ethnicity is about culture, traditions or heritage. Nationality is the status of belonging to a particular country. Nationality can easily be changed as we all know. Also, you can adopt the ethnicity of where you were born or where you grew up even though you don't typically look like people of that region. If I look white cause my father is white and my mother is mixed (my grandfather is Yoruba), it doesn't stop me from adopting Yoruba as my ethnicity if I identify with thier lifestyle. Race is mostly physical and sometimes, not immediately obvious. When your race isn't immediately obvious (maybe cause you have parents from different races) you can identify as mixed or as your preferred race (though your kids may not necessarily look the part). However, when your 100%, then it'll take some life threatening surgery to change that. Unlike nationality, race shouldn't be restrictive. There shouldn't be anything like "show you're white before you enter here". This implies that you can go about calling yourself any race and that's your business. This difference between ethnicity and race suggest that our behavior and our looks define two different things. Our behavior is more in tune with our ethnicity while out looks define our race. If this is about her personality, it is her ethnicity that is in contention, not her race. And yes that can be changed as its not restrictive in the US. The characteristics you have as someone from a certain ethnicity are mostly as a result of the culture in which you grew up. There aren't congenital, they are acquired. This is unlike gender which is defined by BOTH physical and behavioral attributes. And again, in the case of gender, these attributes are inborn. Therefore, people who transgender don't do so on the basis of acquired characteristics since those can be changed. Instead, they do so on the basis attributes that weren't learned. Also, gender is restrictive. You can't enter certain places as a man regardless of how you identify yourself. This is why people transgender. We all know someone or some people who walk, talk, and do everything like a woman even though they are men. Most of these people have been like that since they were born and they can't bring themselves to do anything like men cause thier brains aren't wired that way. We mock them as they struggle to fit in, we stay away from them as we consider them embarrassing. Some of them grow thick skin and move on to achieve something in life. Others become broken beyond repair. When people switch genders, they do it to save themselves and not to please or displease anyone. They do it to have a life. It is a matter of survival. A psychologists can't talk anyone into becoming manly since it's a hormonal thing. In terms of morality, there's really no difference between enlarging one's breasts, working on nose or hairline, doing anti-aging surgery and doing surgery to alter one's gender. All these alter the features you were born with. You only draw the line where you feel you'd never need to cross, but don't expect others to adopt your line as a standard. If a trans person isn't hurting me, it's not my business to campaign against them. Happy Sunday! |
AlomoReloaded:More like a bull terrier, not a pit. Even if it has a pit in its line, I wouldn't call it a pit if it's not up to 50%. Anyway, I don't subscribe to the idea of strictly judging dogs by breeds. That's a form of classism in my opinion. When one finds a great compatible dog, that's all that matters. I have had a golden retriever, and now, a siberian husky. My friend can't even tell the breed of his dog, yet he (the dog) has learned more skills than my husky. I'm so jealous. Lol OP, that's a beautiful dog! |
Lol... dude just be embarrassing others. |
Lol... This is like telling the electorate "how dare you argue against Muslim-Muslim ticket when you come from a family where both parents are Muslims?" I mean, what say do we have in how a man runs his business? We can decide to stop watching the channel or create our own channels. On the other hand, Nigeria belongs to all of us. Should we decide to create our country, would you allow it? On another note, why not try to sponsor an Islamic program on the channel and see if they'd reject your business on the basis of religion? That would, at least, add a little value to your write-up, but certainly not in comparison to matters of national interest. |
This is what you get when you don't know how powerful you are as a people. I mean, why are they protesting? Normally, you protest against power, but in this case, they are the power themselves. So if they don't want the combination, they shouldn't vote for them. |
Revolution2022:Yes, it does; especially at the corporate level. When I was in Nigeria, I never for once repaired my car with my money after a crash. Insurance always did the repairs. |
Who are his colleagues? |
socialmediaman:You actually "down-played" it. The average annual rent of 2 bedroom in the US can't be N7M (less than $16,500) if your calculation considers places like New York where monthly rent for 2 bed is between 5k to 6k. Even in the cheaper areas, $16,500 annual rent would imply a monthly rent of about $1,375. That's not realistic for a 2 bed. I know you gave an estimate but I think it's much higher than that. |
jamiluusman:Oyibo man lands in Lagos? I don't really understand why Nigeria celebrates this kind of visits. A country as big as Nigeria with millions people, then one man comes from the West and it makes a headline. Funny thing is, such visitors mostly go to the rural places just to feed the narratives back home. Anyway, I hope he enjoys his stay. |
Amwitty:Adding a picture for context.

How is IVF an abomination and why should people hide themselves because they conceived via IVF? Sometimes, I wonder how people in Africa process things. A scientific breakthrough that has helped a lot people have kids is being discriminated in Africa. Did anyone curse you guys with backwardness? So a man who can't impregnant a woman naturally due to biological reasons is a weakling? You have the guts to say this because you were born with functioning body parts you didn't work for? And what's wrong if they thank God for the success of the process? Those that conceive naturally, don't they thank God too? Do you see them praising doctors? It is thier religion, guy. The doctors don't live on praises, they didn't do it for free, they have been paid. Do you not know that not everyone is cleared for IVF? Why is it so difficult for a typical African person to live and let live? Why do y'all always feel to need to make others feel bad about themselves? What kind of continent is this? Nawia o. |
You guys will blame the West for everything. You cannot stop your politicians from stealing from you. You keep voting the same thieves over and over again. And then you turn around to blame someone oceans away. Smh |
NwaIdeato:You guys should be calming down. You need people to vote your candidate. If you keep making it a South East-vs-others kind of thing, people will be less inclined to identify with you cause they'll see it as a dent to thier own region. Even those that wanted to vote for Peter would be reluctant after reading the way some of y'all boasting on here. It's working against you. |
Using people's future for campaign. |
toffyz:What if they deliberately waited till now just so that it could be used as a campaign strategy? That's likely to be the case given the fact the same people resolving it could have resolved it long ago if they wanted to. I'm not stopping you from voting for him. You can vote for him if that's what you've always wanted, let's just not fall for this messiah approach so fast. |
I don't even know how to feel about this. The fact that the strike will end soon makes Mr happy, but the fact that it was delibrately delayed so that it could be used as a campaign strategy makes me want to cry. God help us. |
Yet another thread for men to tell women about women. The couple of girls OP met are at the phase of thier lives where they want to settle down and automatically, it is now a "girls" thing. You'd think he conducted a research or sent out a survey. When you meet a girl that's only there for the fun, you come to NL to complain. When you meet a serious minded girl that wants to build a family, you still come to NL to complain. Nawa o |
Mhurfhy:Well, technically, tests don't go wrong. It either fails or passes. |
gloryhomemaker:And I'm talking about both you and those people you met in that market. I'm telling y'all there's nothing like African salad. Salads are made of vegetables and sometimes, fruits. You don't just call something a salad for the fun of it. Besides, how can you say Abacha is known as African salad in the market? It's known as Africa salad by who exactly? Igbo people in the market? Where? Where is this market? Where did you grow up? I'm not being sarcastic here. I'm sincerely surprised that someone that eats abacha grew up knowing it with a different name. Dear, abacha is abacha. Igbos eat Abacha. They are mostly the ones that buy and sell abacha. In what context would an Igbo man call his abacha a salad if not in a bid to sound western? Even if some people call it that, it doesn't make it right. An educated person should know what a salad is. No offense intended, your abacha looks delicious. |
wickedJezibel:It is so annoying. Abacha is not even a salad by definition. Even if it were, that name "African salad" is dumb and myopic. They didn't even call it "Nigerian salad" but "African salad", yet the vast majority of people in Africa don't even know what that is. How many continental dishes have "European" as part of the name? Abacha is eaten in South Eastern Nigeria. It is not African anything. It is simply Abacha. Just like many French, Italian and Spanish dishes, it does not need an English name. The native name tells its story. It'll lose its identity without it. I'm sure it was one teenager that playfully called the starchy food a salad, and instead of the adults to correct them, they happily adopted the ridiculous name cause they want to be more western than the westerners. That said, OP that looks delicious! ![]() |
I didn't know she had an issue with her left eye till now. |
