Dorakay93: It's private business , just like saying govt should recognise,or prioritise those selling garri. Does it make sense? No, livestock developments isn't a private business. It's a sub-sector under the ministry of Agriculture. What is private is the individual establishment. The idea is not to prioritize them but to put a plan/policy in place to guide thier activities and provide the resources needed to implement these policies. If ranching must be implemented, they need support to put that up. Farmers get support from the government in terms of cash, loans, extension programs, etc. That's not new. Herders aren't any different. Let's not be biased. If we leave them to continue the only way they know how to, we'd always have issues. This is why we have a government. |

Livestock development is good for everyone, not just the herders. The problem is how it's done. The presidential candidates should have a plan for this. |

New007: That's just a little off 40 degrees. I learned it got up to 42°C this year! However, it's not as hot as 40°C in the UK due to the relative humidity. |

btoks: See Maiduguri weather in April 2022. Beat 40 degs/ 104Fah several times
https://world-weather.info/forecast/nigeria/maiduguri/april-2022/ OK. Thanks. My data is outdated. The highest was 42°C. And that's one of the highest so far. However, it is still much hotter in the UK. There's a difference between the actual temperature and how it feels. That's why weather reports give these two variables two different columns. The reason is humidity. When you sweat, there's evaporation which reduces the feeling of heat. When humidity is high, the rate of evaporation is reduced, resulting in more intense heat. This is called the "feels-like" temperature and it's measured in terms of relative humidity. Below is a table of how temperature feel like with respect to relative humidity. I've been in both regions, believe me, the exact same temperature is much hotter in the West.

Or isn't it innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law? I still wonder... Forfeiting his millions isn't prosecution enough? Or you think an innocent man would just be asked to do that? |

jeffizy: I know America programmed domestic altercation to favor women , it is quite sad that some women have learnt to exploit that advantage to a sickening level.
Did you notice that the woman still made an attempt to hit the man and all he could do was try to placate her? So sad.
You'd be surprised, even in America, she has no right to do that except she gets a court order which is given on the basis of abuse (physical or emotional). A man has the right to get the order too. Any man that quietly leaves the house when the wife asks him too has done something that would surely grant this order and he's leaving cause he doesn't want it on record. Otherwise, no one would just leave cause the woman said so. It doesn't work that way. |

simplesearch: Consent is not enough, it's just an approval of whoever a man or woman intends to marry by those placed over her by nature or circumstances of life. Other conditions, requirements and commitment must be known and met before the marriage can be properly consummated. If an underage Consent to sexual intimacy with an adult, does her consent invalidate a case of rape before the law against the offender? Not at all! In marriage matter, ensure you fulfill all that's require to the best of your ability before taken any woman to your home. Consent is more like introducing yourself to the family of your spouse and that does not translate to marriage or freedom to engage in any sexual intimacy, wether the intention to marry her or not is sincere. I'm sure he meant consenting adults. By the way, is this your take religious or some societal construct? What is required? The paper works, the traditional wedding or the church wedding? Just curious. |

PHIPEX: She's lucky this is not old testament time, fire would have descended from heaven to consume her for such blasphemy. Since when did engagement become marriage?
Some people are actually evangelists of doom What is the difference? What if thier parents blessed the engagement? Is it the paper works that make the difference to god? Just curious. |
