I feel so sorry for him.

The papers & the inheritance will be far fetched. Before he knows it the woman will "change it for him", close to when he should get the papers, the woman will change it for him because the woman knows that he married her for that purpose, and if he gets it, it might be game over for her.

when it comes the inheritance, if the woman does not have family, she might as well will everything to charity than hand over her estate to a greedy African opportunist. The woman knows very well that he is in the marriage to catch an opportunity, but she is smart too to also try and capture the moment for pleasure.

I pray that God will send him help should he finds himself out in the cold.

The politicians, the bureaucrats(public servants) and their cronies are the greatest beneficiaries of the subsidy, the Nigerian masses are "name dropped" & gas lighted to enable them steal. Refineries working means blocking their revenue. The worse happened in the last 8 years - free-for-all of them including the crude. They went beyond subsidy, crude sales proceeds ended in individual pockets. To cap it all - NNPC have changed from National asset to private asset owned by individuals & nobody is asking any questions.

You are dealing with a con woman who needed an urgent 1000 box; you were not firm/affirmative in your communication, by using words like maybe/I think, & appealing tone in a purely business transaction where you are committing money puts you out as "naive" to a waiting predator.
She probably wanted to lease the room to you but in the course of communication felt she could take advantage of a "naive" jjc & instead rent it out to someone else.
If you are there legally, report her to the police for criminal investigation and have her pay for every damn item that you have dropped there.

In all business transactions, appear very firm, use words that command power and send fears, even if you are down to earth & very nice. dont let anyone feel he/she can take you for a ride or get away with anything. Approach business as business irrespective of who is involved.

The advise I will give you depend on 2 things - 1. Your educational/career background & 2 your plan

If you have an background in ICT Career or Education - Going for #2 will make you a critical resource in ICT space, although there is so much to learn, but in 4 Months, you can start from somewhere and develop further

If you do not IT-related career/education thrn go for number one - if you are focused & serious then you have a side hustle for more money, later top it up with graphic design.

The advise below is the true situation; if they remove subsidy as planned, 1 litre of fuel will be up to 500 and u will end up paying up to 1k daily. With 12 hrs at work, you will buy urself lunch/drink/ snacks. So the salary increase you are looking at does not exist.

You can use this to negotiate with your former employer for pay rise - do not accept anything below 60k(double), in your former office, as it is, you are at the peak of your value now. However, they have identified you as a business risk, they have been threatened and will put a plan in place in case next time you threaten to exit, they might not wait for your next time, they may agree to pay what you ask for (risk management/response) but later terminate & hire 2 people instead of just you. You need to actively look for job and move on before they leave you behind.

Time is money, the free time you have from your previous job can be converted to money - do some business/trade, setup business for your wife & support her after work, take a loan & expand the business. Learn a skill/ get more education and use it to enhance your teaching career or change career altogether. You can do better that you are doing currently. Yes you can. All the best.

I think you should go back, but put your eyes outside. 400 to and fro in a week is #2,400 in a month that's basically 10k with more workloads. Though the school was very inconsiderate to allow you stay in same salary for that long, hence why you need to start looking at other options.

A family man should be earning way more than that.

Go back there, give her the balance of the proper amount & tell her that you figured out that you did did not pay the proper value.

BVAS were already reconfigured while collation was on-going. The arrest was covered by a reporter with live broadcast on TV, police took them for investigation. Two days after, Nigeria happened to that story - Last I heard was that the Police needs to apologise, then "unscrupulous element made some arres"t/ "these were INEC engineers working on the BVAS devices".
So the BVAS machines were already tampered with as shown on TV. Obi/Atiku are just wasting time.

When it was 11:30, I called her and she asked if I had left home and I told her very soon, she now said I should call her once I get to a particular location and give the phone to bike man so that she will give us the direction to her place.

I left home 12:10 pm, got to the location, negotiated with okada man, called her number but she didn't pick, I called the second time, she didn't answer so I thought maybe she wasn't with her phone.

I waited for her to call back but she didn't, after waiting for awhile without reaching her, I told the bike man to carry another passenger.

The last time I called her, she switched off her phone, I returned back to my house.

She hasn't called to offer any explanation after 20 hours and I'm just surprised.

Here is my question for ladies on this forum, is what she did okay? What do you think made her to behave that way?

A job that I percievd as a miracle job is turning out to be a nightmare. I got a job in Lagos last December as a web designer for the firm with a pay of 150k. The job was supposed to be hybrid but since I couldn't afford relocation we agreed I work remotely pending when I will be able to relocate.

This is the end of fabuary and I haven't received a dime, the man has simply refused to pay me and from his body language he's not going to pay. I contacted the HR and she told me the man isn't responding to her messsages or calls about the payment matter.

He has stopped viewing my messages on WhatsApp or taking my calls too. The guys that referred me mentioned something about him treating the predecessor same way and adviced I take it as employment fraud and walk away from the job.

The issue is I've put efforts and resources into the job and I cant just let go of 300K like that.
I've been borrowing to fuel my gen everyday to work and other expenses. My rent is expired and landlord had been on my neck to pay up. A lot of stuff is hinged on that money.
It's been from one flimsy excuse to the other.

Please I need suggestions on how I can get my money from this man, I have my appointment letter and he's a lawyer.

The doctor may nor even be aware/up-to-date with information/research/update regarding a particular drug. The pharmacist are the custodian of that information & they circulate it within their circle.

Ask the pharmacist for a good alternative and revert to the doctor with that information

This drug Dexamethasone was prescribed by doctors in a Government hospital for my dad, getting to the pharmacy I was told that NAFDAC have stopped pharmacies from selling the drug and confiscated the ones in their warehouses.

I put a call across to the doctor to speak with the pharmacist about the development. After asking the pharmacist when the drug was withdrawn from circulation and other things the doctor insisted I get the drug in another pharmacy that have it in stock, this is after the pharmacist stood her ground that the drug is no longer safe as directed by NAFDAC.
I've gotten the drug but I am still not sure if I should let my dad take it cos of this confusion.
What do you guys think?

So the one month salary payment is in lieu of one Month resignation/termination notice.
Since this was contained in your employment or contract letter/agreement as applicable to both employee/employer, when they pay you the one Month salary, acknowledge it and and ask them when you are getting paid for the number of days(state it clearly) you worked this Month before the sudden termination.

You may engage a lawyer to write for you. Also if you feel that your appointment termination did not follow the normal HR process - fair hearing/ query/ panel etc if those are part of it, you can challenge it, even if you were guilty

why was ur appointment terminated..normally you only get paid for the period you work for the company, except otherwise stated.
That clause u mentioned is usually applicable if YOU are resigning from your job. In your case, your employment was terminated.
Talk to a lawyer sha, and read the terms of your contract very well.
You can sue if your employment was wrongly terminated but i am not sure about the company giving u 1month notice or paying u 1 month benefit

I advise that you do not quit your job for now,- since you are already in your ND2. This means you will soon be done with your ND and go for 1 year industrial attachment, which can enable you for focus on your work and side hustles.

If you informed your employer that you are concurrently running your education program as well, then you can focus on your career during your industrial training/attachment and have them sign your forms/activity logs for your attachment (perhaps these have change over time)

Then If you are able to save some money and maybe things might improve(now is not a good time to quite your job), then you can quit the work and focus on your studies & finish well.

It also depends on if you have a good support system(family/friends) that can assist to pick your bills & support your education if things do not work out as envisaged.

I am in my mid 20's, I do things solely on my own financially. I work in a company with a take home monthly pay of 70k and at the same time I'm running a part time program for my National Diploma, I'm in my ND2 now.
So I planned to quite my job by December and process a direct entry into a Federal University to get a BSc, I planned to save enough money to pay my bills during the course of schooling and I can still work during vacation as I am highly skilled in the field, the skill is highly sort for all over the country. But I'm confused on either to still keep my Job and further my Education when I make enough money and have a business of my own.

She is not a bad person, at least for opening up to you in the first instance.

You are yet to fully understand that she is your competitor and not your friend or apprentice, even though she once wore these three caps in one and now she still wears two of that.

But she is very smart, and understand what is called opportunity and wouldn't let any slip. she knows her competitor(s) and if any have an edge over her and is moving fast to bridge the gap. I really like this person - very business-like.

There's this person I brought into my line of job. When I brought her in, I wanted her to learn the job very well for like 6 months or a year before she can launch out to get her own clients and be on her own but she left three weeks after following me a few times. She felt she has gotten the hang of the job and started getting her own clients and has been on her own since last year. I overlooked all that. She then started calling me along the line to teach or show her somethings on the job to which I refused because she left of her own accord knowing full well she has not learnt all there is to learn.

Now, there was a place I submitted my proposal letter and after they called me. We had a chat and after a good bargain, they told me to resume the following week. Two days to resumption, they called and told me to hold on. So I felt they got a better bargain. It pained me and I told this person all that happened and what I charged them. After that, I got two other clients who paid the same amount I charged the one that flopped. So I used those ones to console myself and moved on but was still hoping that they would get back to me someday.

Fast-forward to last week. This close pal of mine I trained on the job told me she got a call. In fact she went to that same place I told her I lost an opportunity and submitted a proposal. They now called her and she offered them lower charges and she was given the job.

At first I felt stabbed because she knew about my ordeal with the same company. I just chose not to discuss it further.

Ok, last year, I confided in her that I want to review my charges with my old clients. Like those I've been with for 4 , 5 years. Today, she called saying she reviewed her charges too with her clients. O boy! Because I reviewed, you too review? I mean something she started last year, she's already reviewing just because I told her I did and my clients have responded to it. These are clients I've had for years and you've only had yours for a few months, cos she started mid last year and she's already increasing fees. Is that how things are done? Anyways I didn't try to warn her of the implication of such act.

Now, I feel this person is just trying to compete with me and I'm thinking it's high time I start concealing somethings from her.

What do you think? Is it safe to continue divulging my plans to this person or am I overreacting?
