You'll be surprised thats what gave jonathan a large percentage of his votes.A lot of them were redemption camp people who were happy he came to ''worship'' with them and that makes him a ''child of God''.
It either that, or the give the SS a chance army, or the ''we hate Hausas'' army.
Really a country not ready for change doesn't deserve it.
Whatever the case is, they have the next 4 years to regret their decisions, if they learn that is.
I award you 1 million internets and 7 gbosas for that post. You may have just become the greatest living nairalander. There are so many sens.eless people posting here, its nice to read from someone with a brain.

Dont worry, Gej is not doing badly in the NW except kano. The SW advantage will take care of the NW deficit. i have done the arithmetic, we can start popping the champaign
I'm not poppin' anything with you. If PDP wins again, I bet in a few years most of you will be too embarrassed to tell your children you voted for them.

Bros, the apathy against Buhari is far worse in the South. the nation is better off with GEJ.
Jonathan needs to win big in the SW to avoid a runoff. He's not doing well enough.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by EvilBrain1(m): 11:21am On Apr 17, 2011
The widepread voter apathy in most of the southwest outside Lagos is going to hurt Jonathan. He's not picking up enough votes to overturn CPC's lead in the north. Ribadu actually won in Osun taking away precious votes from PDP.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by EvilBrain1(m): 10:13am On Apr 17, 2011
I've added up the confirmed state by state votes I've seen so far (Lagos, Jigawa, Enugu, Kano and Oyo) and so far PDP leads CPC with 2,984,590 to 2,573,728. That a lead of about 400,000 votes. Definitely not insurmountable.

Come on you northerners, you can do it!

No mater what GEJ does for Norti, they will never accept him as their own.As long as he doesnt speak Sanu Sanu and doesnt face the east while praying,he will remain a Yamiri to them. They will readily back a theif from the North than an honest and human man from the south. To them each election is not about political parties or persons, its about tribe and religion. So tribalistic.

Which way Nigeria!, I wish you Goodluck
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but there is only 1 confirmed thief running for president. And he's not from the north.

Keep your ethnic nonsense to yourself please.

Dont know how true but i just learnt from an ACN guy that there was a secret deal involving 35b and that they were asked to vote GEJ. So we should expect a PDP landslide win in lagos and SW. This 'l b a confirmation of what i've said on a thread that we should expect such move and that GEJ may have approach TINUBU not to accept a CPC alliance in order to have an easy ride. Time will tell
Guy, don't be retar.ded. If the deal was secret, then there was no way the voters would know to vote PDP. If the voters knew, then it was not a secret so how come we're just hearing about it?

There was no such deal. Use your brain.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by EvilBrain1(m): 10:45pm On Apr 16, 2011
This country is really ethnically divided. I asked many people here in Lagos why they voted PDP and most could only stammer. One guy denied pretended to have voted ACN even though I clearly saw him thumbprinting umblerra, and many people admitted that they knew Jonathan and the PDP were thieves but they voted for them anyway because of tribe.

We have a long way to go in this country. If the aboki voters manage to save us from another 4 years of PDP, then I'll love them forever. I might even look for a nice fulani girl to marry. wink

Where? Are you in Lagos? If the whole southwest vote like this then PDP is gone.

There is still hope.

No visible rigging. I can't believe that Nigerians can be stu.pid enough to vote PDP again. Hopefully, our northern brothers will rescue us from ourselves.

PDP must go.

At my polling centre in surulere, most people are voting among ethnic lines. I'm really disgusted with Nigerians. How can you sleep without light then wake up and vote PDP?

There is no hope for this country. We will all continue to suffer the way we've been suffering. And that's what we deserve.

mrjingles:
You cant seriously compare Nigeria to these countries. Saddam's Iraq was a military dictatorship in disguise (lets not even mention the chemical weapons used against the kurds) in Egypt mubarak gets to decide who contests elections! (forget rigging it wasnt necessary) syria was essentially a qausi-monarchist dictatorship. You can come on this form and insult the Nigerian president, try it in the above countries and see what happens. Am not saying all is well (all is definitely NOT well) but to compare Nigeria to these countries is not quite accurate. Lets keep our emotions in check.
Of course, Nigeria is not exactly like any other country but essentially, all dictatorships are the same. It doesn't matter if its Jonathan smiling at you or Abacha frowning, the end result is the same. The ruling class take care of themselves and the people can go to blazes. In the end the people have no say in anything. The ruling party always wins.

PS. Some people are going to complain that I've compared the killer Sani Abacha to the nice guy Jonathan. My answer to them is this: there several ways to kill people. You can send Sgt. Rogers to shoot them. Or you can embezzle the money to fix the only 2 roads in and out of a community. Then embezzle the money to renovate the single run down hospital in that community. Then embezzle the money for drugs. Then sit back with your popcorn and watch pregnant women and small children die. I saw this happen live when I was serving. I think it would have been kinder to just shoot them.
PoliticsRe: How GEJ Will Win On Saturday Foretold by EvilBrain1(m): 1:02am On Apr 16, 2011
I predict a PDP landslide even in CPC strongholds. However, President Jonathan will not complete his term as he will be bundled out in a military coup.

I've posted a detailed explanation of why this will happen in the "Buhari will win" thread on the front page. I can't be bothered to copy and paste all that here so you can all go and read page 4 of that or look at my posting history.

A coup is inevitable. All the signs are there.

Basseti:
Take your prophecy and shove it.

U are no Jeremiah and Nigeria is no Jerusalem.

Jeremiah gave them an option: Repent or Jerusalem will perish.

In your own case: Vote for Buhari or Nigeria will perish.

Dont u see anything wrong with that? Buhari is no saint abeg.
Wrong. I'm saying the PDP should stop rigging and stealing money or our democracy will perish. I have no problem with the PDP winning if they are more popular. The problem is them winning when they are not.

And Buhari is not a saint. But if he wins, it will be the first time Nigerians have successfully changed their government through the ballot box. That is the whole point of democracy and until we manage to do it, we are just fooling ourselves.

What we have today is a pseudodemocracy just like they had in Egypt, Syria and Saddam's Iraq. I'm honestly not sure how it's in any way better than a benign military dictatorship.

Back to the sender

Whats wrong with these BB supporters sef?

GEJ supporters are mostly a lying lot.
BB supporters are mostly a violent lot.

So the only path to a peaceful and stable Nigeria is if Buhari wins. Who do u think u are sefhuh  cheesy
You seem to think I'm happy about all of this. I'm not. My dream is to live in a free and democratic Nigeria where corruption is at a managable level.

Unfortunately I'm just a commoner. I only have one vote. I can't change what is happening. I can't stop the PDP from rigging and stealing. And I can't stop the soldiers from doing what they will surely do. I can see the oncoming trainwreck but there is nothing I can do to stop it.

Jeremiah prophesied the fall of Jerusalem but he did not cause it.

Keep living in your self made bubble.

A coup is a coup. The 1983 coup d'etat is not one of Buhari stongest selling point as a candidate for a democratic president. Thats just the plain truth. He came in to salvage Nigeria. How many times have we heard that songhuh undecided Even Sani Abacha remixed the damn song for us when he shoved Ernest Shonekan out. That one too na bloodless coup.

Nigerians sef angry
A coup is an illegal takeover of government by armed men. If you ask me, the 2007 coup that brought Yar'adua and Jonathan to power was far bloodier than Buhari's. Over 100 people have died so far and yet everybody keeps saying this "election" is so much more peaceful than the last one.

A coup is a coup. The only difference is that the recent ones have had slightly fewer men in uniform.
PoliticsRe: I'm Predicting Buhari Will Win On Saturday! by EvilBrain1(m): 11:50pm On Apr 15, 2011
Basseti:
This violent rhetoric will get us nowhere.

Buhari has lost two elections before now, so kini big deal. If he loses this one again, then it wasnt meant for him. He should retire .

U are predicting a coup and reminiscing on Oct 1983 as if it was one of the brightest day in Nigerian politics. May God forbid U Mr. doomsday and may those predictions follow U and U alone.
I'm just being realistic. Look at Nigeria's history and you can see a clear pattern. In 1960, we had high hopes, then gradual disillusionment as the politicians became more and more corrupt. Then the politicians rigged elections to stop the people from getting rid of them through the ballot box. Then widespread anger and frustration. And then a coup followed by wild celebrations in the streets.

The pattern repeated inself in 1983 and its happening again now. After the PDP rigs this election, they will have lost their legitimacy and the support of the majority of the people which is the most important requirement for  successful coup.

Just as we are complaining now, there a some majors and colonels complaining in a barracks beer parlour somewhere in Nigeria. A coup is almost inevitable. You just wait and see.
PoliticsRe: I'm Predicting Buhari Will Win On Saturday! by EvilBrain1(m): 11:28pm On Apr 15, 2011
In a free and fair election, Buhari would be the clear winner. Jonathan has too little support in the north and will be torn apart there. The SS and SE will vote heavily for PDP. All 3 parties will split the SW but the massive anti-PDP sentiment there will be enough to tilt the result against Jonathan.

In reality though, PDP will rig massively and win everywhere. There will be rioting in the north. Buhari may chose to fan the flames leading to his arrest and more rioting.

Regardless, I predict a coup within the next 4 years. This is October, 1983 all over again.
PoliticsRe: Video Evidence Of Massive Rigging! by EvilBrain1(m): 12:09pm On Apr 15, 2011
I've given up hope for this country. So many have been conned into believing this "Jonathan is the messiah" bullshiat. I've was shocked that at the number of people still willing to vote for PDP with their history and I've been slowly converting all my friends to Buhari's side.

But it looks now that PDP is going to win no matter what. They have made peaceful change impossible therefore violence is inevitable.

I need to fast forward my emigration runs. I'm not going to be here when the sh.t hits the fan.

Beaf:
There is some woman in the video thumbprinting stuff. We don't know the date or location, what she is thumprinting or who for, it does look quite suspicious though.
The right thing to do is post it off to Jega.
You can clearly see the polling centre number on the side of the desk she's using. People's faces are clearly visible. The guy who uploaded the video even provided names. All we need to do is examine the ballot papers from that polling unit to prove which party she was rigging for (as if we don't already know).

A serious-minded government could have all these people in jail within a day or two. Lets all sit down and watch the wonderful GEJ government do exactly nothing about this. After paying militants, his 133 aides and sharing pre-election bribes I'm sure his government doesn't have any money left to catch criminals again.
PoliticsRe: Video Evidence Of Massive Rigging! by EvilBrain1(m): 10:35pm On Apr 14, 2011

PoliticsRe: Video Evidence Of Massive Rigging! by EvilBrain1(m): 8:46pm On Apr 14, 2011
PDP is going to win on Saturday. They are going to rig heavily and win in the 1st round. Everybody will know that they rigged and there may be some violence in the north, but GEJ will be sworn in May. Buhari will go to court and lose after 3 years because the supreme court are a bunch of useless, slow-moving cowards.

President Jonathan will continue to rule in the usual corrupt PDP manner for the next 4 years. He will also rig and be re-elected in 2015. It may take a fairly bloody coup or an external influence to finally dislodge the PDP thieves from power.

Either way, the ordinary Nigerians will continue to suffer for the foreseeable future. There will be no stable power, no safe roads and no decent public hospitals. Poverty and economic stagnation will be the lot of the common people. And they will deserve it. He who cannot fight for freedom does not deserve to be free.
